From the moment we discovered Currahee Club, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding, and somehow the experience ended up exceeding our already high expectations. The views overlooking Lake Hartwell are absolutely breathtaking, and every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. It truly feels like a hidden gem.

What stood out the most, though, was how accommodating everyone was, especially our amazing wedding director Liz, throughout the entire planning process. Anytime we had a question, wanted to adjust plans, or had a special request, the team was incredibly responsive and willing to help make it happen. They genuinely wanted our day to be exactly what we envisioned, and we never felt like "just another wedding."

The flexibility they gave us made such a difference. Whether it was working with our timeline, coordinating with our vendors, or helping with little details we hadn't even thought of, they consistently went above and beyond. Planning a wedding from out of state can be stressful, but they made the process feel so much easier and gave us complete confidence that everything would come together.

On the wedding day, everything ran seamlessly. The staff was attentive, professional, and so kind to both us and our guests. We were able to truly enjoy the day without worrying about logistics because we knew everything was in good hands.

If you're considering Currahee Club as your wedding venue, we can't recommend it enough. Not only is it one of the most beautiful venues in North Georgia, but it's the people behind it who make it so special. They care deeply about creating an unforgettable experience, and we're so grateful we chose to celebrate one of the best days of our lives there. We would choose Currahee Club again a hundred times over.

I had my wedding at the Currahee Club in March of 2026.

The experience was 10/10, 5/5 stars. The venue is breathtaking, pristinely clean, and more than accommodating. The view from the patio/backyard area is insanely gorgeous. We decided to have our ceremony outside in the backyard area overlooking the mountains and lake. Everything else was held inside. We hosted around 120 people + vendors + a live band, and the venue size was perfect for that many people.

The venue has a beautiful on-site area for both bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready. The bridal suite has a wet bar which was perfect for day-of mimosas. The grooms suite has a rustic wood bar that’s perfect for drinks and vibes.

One big bonus of the Currahee Club is that it has on-site lodging accommodations. The on-site suites are huge and much better than a hotel in my opinion. My bridal party and I stayed in a suite the night of the rehearsal dinner, and my husband and I stayed in a suite the night of the wedding. This was SO convenient. No traveling back and forth with a bunch of luggage.

Even though we absolutely adored the venue and all of the many accommodations, honestly the best part was having Liz as our day-of-coordinator. She went absolutely above and beyond, catering to our every need.

Overall, if you’re looking for an estate/country club style venue with elegance and a classic feel, then this is the venue for you! I really can’t recommend it enough.

Our entire experience with wedding planner Liz and the Currahee Club was amazing. From the beginning of planning to the day of the wedding, we could not have asked for better accommodations. On the day of the wedding, Liz had all the details taken care of, and we were able to relax and enjoy the day. The venue is beautiful and the entire staff truly went above and beyond to make the day amazing. I highly recommend Liz and the Currahee Club.

We cannot recommend Currahee enough! It was everything we were looking for and more in a destination for our wedding: picturesque mountains, a stunning view of lake Hartwell, a gorgeous and spacious yet intimate wood and stone clubhouse and golf for my husband. Liz and the staff were efficient, dedicated and did everything to ensure the day ran as smoothly as possible. On our special day, no request was too great and all of our expectations were met and exceeded. The food was so wonderful we had trouble limiting our choices. Bar and wait staff were hospitable and professional. The space of the clubhouse allowed for plenty of room to dance and include tables or couches to include all family members in the fun. Many of our guests enjoyed the gorgeous views on the patio. Accommodations were offered and made for guests with limited mobility which was so helpful for our family. The priority availability to book Currahee owned lodgings was a lifesaver for us being from Ohio and our families being from all over. You can tell so much time is put in by the people at Currahee for every individual event they host and I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

Truly the Wedding of Our Dreams!
I cannot express how extremely grateful I am for Currahee and their amazing team. My husband and I planned our wedding all the way from California, with guests traveling from California, New York City, and Alabama. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
Lodging:
Our guests absolutely loved their accommodations! Everyone commented on how beautiful and comfortable the lodging was. We stayed in the suites at the clubhouse, and they were stunning. Olivia Gunn and Liz went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed from fire pits to fire pit kits, ensuring everyone felt at home.
Wedding Day:
Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful. The director and day-of coordinator, Liz Johnston, was phenomenal from the very first meeting. Despite the three-hour time difference, Liz always answered every call and email promptly. She helped us connect with vendors, met with us in person several times (even with our photographer and videographer), and even met some of our vendors ahead of time to make sure everything went smoothly.
On the wedding day, Liz and our wedding party handled every detail flawlessly. I had zero worries. Liz continuously checked in on us in both the bridal and groom suites, and she made sure our marriage license was signed immediately after the ceremony. She truly went above and beyond, she made my dreams come true beyond what I ever imagined.
The Venue:
The view was absolutely breathtaking photos don’t do it justice. The entire venue is stunning, and the staff was so kind and professional. Our guests felt loved and respected by everyone they encountered.
The Food & Drinks:
Everything was delicious! Our guests are still talking about how good the food and drinks were a full month later, we’re still getting calls and compliments about how it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever attended.
We cannot thank Currahee, Olivia and Liz enough. Everything was perfect it truly was one of the best days of our lives.

Loved this venue. I got married on the ceremony lawn in the fall and the views were stunning. Dinner in the Great Room was also beautiful, I had the fires going. Ultimately, Liz (the events director at Currahee) is fantastic to work with. She is very responsive and answered every question in great detail. She was honest and transparent with costs and capabilities. I never felt like a burden, instead I felt celebrated.

Currahee Club is the perfect venue for a classy, country club wedding. The view from the outdoor ceremony space is stunning and every piece of decor inside the clubhouse is timeless, including the beautiful double stone fireplaces in the great room (where we had the dance floor).

Liz was an all-around great communicator through every step of the wedding planning process. She worked with us for months to make the day exactly what we wanted including food, floor plan, and other accommodations. She stayed the entire day of our event and worked alongside our amazing wedding coordinator to make sure all plans were executed down to the last detail. A storm even knocked the power out for a few minutes during dinner and Liz and her team moved all of our outside dining to the inside space seamlessly. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive.

We hosted about 185 people comfortably but would have been tight on space with more guests than that. Both the bridal party and groomsmen enjoyed the spacious locker rooms before the wedding.

Currahee Club is an amazing venue and will always be special to us!

This is the MOST beautiful venue in existence. All of the staff are so friendly, professional and helpful. The coordinator, Liz, orchestrated everything perfectly. Everyone was saying it was the most beautiful venue they’ve ever been to. The food was great, the dressing rooms are so spacious, and the pub is perfect for the bar/cocktail hour. 100/10 would recommend.

Liz Johnston and her staff at Currahee Club were wonderful to work with in planning and preparing for our son’s military wedding. Liz knows the planning and preparation needed to have a fairytale wedding come true. She has a calming demeanor when you think all the parts aren’t coming together, she has it all in sync. Guests who arrived days before the wedding enjoyed golfing, swimming, and hiking the beautiful property at Currahee Club. All the food was so yummy all weekend. Guests commented how much they enjoyed the Bridal Luncheon, Rehearsal Dinner, Cocktail Hour hors d’oeuvres, and Reception. Leann, Nolan and the pub/restaurant staff were friendly and kind to our guests. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our experience with Liz and Currahee Club for the perfect wedding venue. Make an appointment and you’ll be impressed when you meet Liz and see the picturesque views of Currahee Club!!

Beautiful mountain lodge with view of mountains and lake. Liz was very easy to work with. She was organized and made great suggestions. We held the rehearsal dinner and wedding on site. The food chef prepared was wonderful and the menus were flexible. It was a perfect weekend with all details taken care of!

Second best night of my life. The venue and food were top notched! Not an avid golfer but the golf course was spectacular. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Liz and her team did an outstanding job! Communication is amazing as well, they cover every detail.

Our wedding dinner at the Currahee Clib was top notch! Our guests can’t stop talking about the venue and the food. Currahee club definitely exceeded our expectations of what we wanted and more. Everyone at the club was so nice and welcoming, they are truly family now. Liz and her team did a great job.

My daughter got married and we held the reception at the Currahee Club. It was flawless. The food was excellent and wait staff very attentive to our guests. Liz Johnston met with us prior to the event and was in constant contact with us as we confirmed the details. It was a great experience planning such a large event. We told Liz what we envisioned and she and the Currahee staff made it happen. I have received so many compliments on the food and the venue in general.

In addition to the reception, many of our guests stayed at the Currahee Club accomodations. The wedding party and friends enjoyed golf and the other amenities at the Club prior to the wedding.

First and foremost, we cannot praise Liz enough for her exceptional coordination and support throughout the planning process. Liz was professional and extremely organized and went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. Her attention to detail and calming presence truly made a difference, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day knowing everything was taken care of.

Cody, who managed the accommodations, deserves special recognition for his outstanding service. From helping our guests with their bookings to ensuring everyone felt comfortable and welcomed, Cody's dedication was evident in every interaction. His warm hospitality added a personal touch that was appreciated by all.

And of course, Chef Maddie and her culinary team deserve a standing ovation for the exquisite food and desserts that delighted our guests. The menu was not only delicious but beautifully presented, reflecting Chef Maddie's creativity and skill. The quality of the cuisine truly exceeded our expectations, making our wedding reception a gourmet experience to remember.

The Currahee Club itself provided a stunning backdrop for the celebration, with its scenic views and elegant facilities. The ambiance was perfect for both the ceremony and reception, creating a magical atmosphere that captured the essence of our daughter's special day.

In conclusion, we cannot thank the staff at Currahee Club enough for their professionalism, expertise, and genuine care. Liz, Cody, Chef Maddie, and the entire team ensured that our daughter's wedding was memorable and truly extraordinary. We highly recommend Currahee Club to anyone looking for a venue that combines natural beauty with exceptional service. My daughter got married at the Currahee Club in Toccoa, GA in May 2024. This venue has spectacular panoramic views of the lake, mountains and golf course! I can’t wait to see the wedding photographs with these gorgeous backdrops! The wedding was absolutely perfect! Liz, the event coordinator was amazing! She helped us through the entire process, from beginning to end, coordinating ceremony location, reception set up and accommodations. She organized flowers, decorations, photographer, DJ, cake delivery and candy bar set up, photo station (including moving the ceremony flower arch from the outside ceremony to the porch for the photo station, not a small task), food and bar menus, rehearsal dinner and Sunday morning breakfast! She made our vision come to life and when I asked my daughter and my new son in law if it was everything they dreamed it would be, they said, “Everything and so much more!”. Our guests loved the onsite accommodations for the weekend getaway! They have suites, cottages, homes and a cute little inn for out of town guests! I highly recommend this venue for anyone who loves the north Georgia mountains with spectacular views! This venue won’t disappoint and the Currahee staff will make sure everything is perfect!

When I say this was the best experience I could have ever hoped for, I mean it! I happened upon the Currahee Club on Google when looking for reception areas in the Toccoa Georgia area. From the very first phone call, the staff was helpful, responsive, and quick to serve. Liz is the Wedding and Events Director and she was indispensable in making our reception a dream come true! She accommodated even the nitpicky requests only a perfectionist like myself could ask for. Her staff on the day kept everyone well taken care of and they genuinely cared if we were happy with everything. They were the best team a bride could ask for! Oh and don't get me started on the Chef! Liz took all of our requests and suggested things in our price range and Chef Maddie made it happen. I can't say enough good things about the club staff but on top of all that the view is TO DIE FOR! Liz even got us golf carts to take us to Hole 10 for an epic sunset photo... Do you need more? Let me tell you, I usually judge a place by their bathrooms and they are spotless!
