Pivotal in our Wedding Day!!

At first i was a little skeptical about getting everything wrapped up through one vendor as i normallt try to cut costs in favor of leg work.

But when the day came and everything was set up for us, im so happy we went with Curated. Granted, they forgot some parts so it stalled set-up time, but nevertheless the tables, chairs, tent, etc, everything was absolutely beautiful. The decor helped make our wedding vision into a reality and the ease of a one-stop-shop at Curated made it all so easy.

Curated Events is amazing!

We hired Curated Events to provide linens and dishware rentals for our wedding. Morgan Webb was extremely accommodating and helpful. She found exactly what we needed for an extremely reasonable price. I highly recommend Curated Events for wedding rentals!

On time on target pros!!! Beautiful inventory.

There’s a reason Distinctive is a go-to for couples, planners, and everyone for all events in the area!! They are pros and deliver event after event after event. Our wedding went so smoothly in large part to them. Very knowledgeable as we had to pivot from a large reception venue to a backyard wedding during Covid. They could secure a clear tent and accommodate everything and let us know with weather which sides to keep up and down and how to place it. Very professional - on time delivery and pick up. Thank you guys a million.

So so great to work with!

Distinctive Event Rentals is a great company to work with for weddings! COVID through my entire wedding planning process for a loop one month before the wedding. We had to completely transition to a backyard wedding and I became the main wedding planner. This company made it so much easier for me!!! They sent someone out very quickly to survey the yard and let us know what size tent we could have and then I worked with Savannah throughout the process who helped me cover all the bases and made sure I had a beautiful backyard wedding and it was perfect! They had absolutely every item I could possibly need and more! Highly recommend!

Very good choice

Distinctive Event was my choice of vendor to accommodate our rental needs for my daughter's wedding held this past weekend at the Woman's Club of Portsmouth.

Many months ago, Someone (cannot remember name) met us in their showroom where we were able to see exactly what we would be renting...no surprises day of event. Their prices were comparable to some of the other vendors but customer service was spot on. By time the big day arrived, our contract had been modified many times. Mostly due to my making multiple changes along the way. Distinctive staff were always polite and very patient with my changes. Always emailing most up-to-date version.

I would certainly recommend Distinctive. Give them a call.

Just what we asked for

Everything ordered was on time and correct. A few chairs had to be cleaned, but otherwise it was good. Gabrielle was a pleasure to work with.

This company provided the tent, tables, chairs and the linen for our wedding. When we met with them we were not quite sure what we wanted, but they took their time and walked us through everything. You can not go wrong with hiring this company. They are great!

The Distinctive Event Rentals team is incredible and their rentals are gorgeous! Distinctive is incredibly responsive during the entire process, will offer advice on anything you need help with and has no problem with you scheduling time to go take a look at their rentals and find the perfect items for your vision! Their team is so friendly and upbeat, and they did an exceptional job for our wedding! I was unbelievably impressed with the quality of their rentals - the farm tables and x-back chairs in particular have a serious wow factor! Highly recommend!

We held our reception for around 120 guests outdoors and rented a tent and accessories (dance floor, tables, chairs, linens) from Distinctive. Overall, we had a great experience! My now-husband and I planned our Williamsburg wedding from D.C.—Laura was willing to accommodate our schedule and met with us on a Saturday. The process was smooth and Distinctive was able to bring our vision to life, including assisting with some last-minute weather-related changes. Everything was dropped off and picked up without issue.

Distinctive Event Rentals went over and beyond for our wedding! From the first day we started working with Bill & Norma, our experience was so enjoyable. They are incredibly organized, professional and prompt - unlike many of the tent rental companies out there today. Every detail was executed perfectly and not to mention, a few days before our wedding they even took the time to come back out to our site and string additional lights that weren't in our original plan. They take so much pride in what they do and it's refreshing to see that these days. They are such a wonderful group of people. I can assure you that we will be using them again for any event we have in the future! Thank you Distinctive!!!

Distinctive Event Rentals was a great company to work with. They arrived first thing in the morning to deliver the chairs and wine barrels we ordered for my daughter's wedding reception. They put the chairs inside of the venue. The chairs were beautiful.

We chose Distinctive Event Rentals for the backyard wedding of our Daughter and Son-in-Law and could not be happier! We communicated with Norma Freesmeirer and she handled everything like a pro! The guys who dropped off and picked up all of the tables, chairs, linens and air cooler were all very polite, professional and friendly. I never got the feeling that anyone was doing this because it was a job, but rather that this is their job and they were going to be the best at it! We will definitely use Distinctive Event Rental again if we have the need!!

Our experience with Distinctive was exceptional. They were always very responsive and very helpful in making decisions about what we needed. Norma was especially helpful to us in planning and choosing the things that were appropriate for our site and function. The set up and break down crew were tremendous. After the wedding you would not even know they had been there. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. Our consultant, Norma, did an awesome job from start to finish - she knows her stock and is very sensitive to budget - she doesn't just push the expensive items unless that's what you want!! She was incredibly patient will all of my MANY change orders - there were quite a few and some were at the very last minute. Our total order was under budget, delivery was right on time, and we were not missing one piece of what we ordered. The dance floor was amazing and worth every penny - the vegetable cart that we used for the cake and desserts was so beautiful - everyone commented on it, even the manager of the venue wanted to know where it came from. I highly recommend these folks.

Distinctive Events has been a HUGE help for my past two events. They provided rentals for my wedding, as well as my parents 25th anniversary 3 years later. I will continue to use and recommend them as I always have. Norma always looks out for the customer first both in requests and in price. She makes great recommendations and always looks out for the customer's interest first. Love these guys!!! She even came in on the weekend to help us out in a pinch!

Distinctive handled all the rentals for a family event six years ago which is why I called them for a much larger event this time. They could not have been more flexible and accommodating! The linen selection was much larger than I was expecting based on the website but they looked at our daughter's Pinterest and suggested a perfect look. Things kept changing on our end but they took it all in stride. The delivery crew was polite and respectful and did not damage my yard which we had worked on for months. They really have a professional team!

Distinctive Event Rentals provided tables, chairs, casual furniture and the tent for our daughter's wedding. The tent was gorgeous, especially with the lights after dark. When I looked back at photos on social media, it seems that everyone wanted to pose on a beautiful sofa that was outside. I was so happy with set-up and break-down. I was able to get my full deposit back because of that!

DER was a required vendor for our venue, but it's easy to see why...we worked with Laura from DER and she was absolutely fantastic. She met us on a weekend to go over rental details, kept us up to date constantly via email and gave her honest opinions about things (i.e. setting up a rain plan for an outdoor wedding). I would definitely use them again if we needed them for rentals!

Norma with Distinctive is AWESOME!! After picking out all of my rentals, she took the time to talk to me about other various wedding details and provided her advice. I felt like she truly cared about my wedding. We rented plates, silverware, glassware, and 2 barrels. They have a great selection! Excellent quality and service.

Distinctive was great! When they came to set everything up and take it down they were very professional and efficient. The people in the office were also very accommodating when I changed my rental list a million times and sent me a new invoice almost immediately every time. I would definitely use them again for another event in the future!

Distinctive Events was so helpful in creating my vision for our wedding day. They we responsive and had a variety of rentals to choose from for our wedding theme. The rustic/burlap theme was easy with their wooden bars and vintage cabinets and carts which completed a beautiful look for us. They worked seamlessly with Jamie Leigh Events to coordinate the setup and take down. The tent was beautiful along with the lights and stage/table setup. Thank you again!

I cannot tell you how helpful Norma Freesmeier and Distinctive Rentals were to us for our daughters wedding.
They offered advice, made suggestions, kept us going on a path we had given them as our ultimate goal. It is
very easy to get distracted and confused as you continue to see postings of weddings on the internet. Norma helped
us keep our design and our objectives in mind with each choice. She was so patient as we made so many revisions to
the original selections.
Finally, that black and white dance floor is gorgeous! Perfect for dancing under the stars! Thank you so much for all your help!!!

My husband and I got married in his parents' backyard so we had the daunting task of transforming a residential property into a wedding venue fit to accommodate 100 guests. When I met with Norma Freesmeier for the first time, I was a very overwhelmed bride but she quickly set me at ease! She took the concepts I had envisioned and was able to decisively bring them to fruition. Through Distinctive Event Rental's expansive inventory we were able outfit our entire reception and stay within budget. Norma remained focused, excited and accessible during the entire process leading up to the wedding. My husband and I are very appreciative of the input she provided in regard to decor, staging logistics and even day-of scheduling.
The delivery and set-up/break-down staff were incredibly sweet and efficient. Months later, our guests continue to rave about our outdoor white-top tent reception! Having worked in the industry for a long time, Norma has working relationships with area caterers, DJ's, photographers, etc. So my suggestion would be to start your wedding planning at Distinctive Event Rentals and allow her to put you in contact with her highly-reviewed preferred vendors. Working with Norma and the staff at Distinctive Event Rentals will ensure you peace of mind and a wonderful wedding!

There are many event rental companies in the Hampton roads area, but DER is the best. Several years ago, I had the pleasure of working in the wedding industry and I was able to see their products as well as all the other event rental companies in the area and I knew that DER stood above the rest. They take pride in their work and strive to make your event as special as possible. Their staff works very hard at delivering, setting up, breaking down, cleaning and laundering your rental needs and it shows in their selection of rental options.
I just got married and knew that I would be using them from day one. They provided all my rental needs. I was very happy with all the rentals as well as with the prices I paid. I was especially happy for the delivery, set up and pick up with just a nominal fee.
I was very satisfied with their communication and working with Norma was such a pleasure. I will continue to use DER for all my rental needs, big and small, and would recommend them to anyone for the same.

We had to rent everything for our wedding day due to holding our wedding on a farm. Distinctive made this process so easy and offered such a wide variety of items for us to choose from. The tent was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for better service.

My husband and I are both extremely happy with Distinctive Event Rentals! We were planning things ourselves - needless to say, we were overwhelmed but Norma helped us every step of the way. Honestly, we couldn't have done it without her! The staff at Distinctive, especially Norma Freesmeier and Bill Cabell, were so wonderful to work with as we planned our daughter's wedding. Despite constantly shifting weather forecasts, they were available to advise and make changes that helped to make our daughter's day so very beautiful. Distinctive worked with our outdoor venue to ensure our guests would be surrounded by warmth and beauty on a particularly windy and cold day. Distinctive Event Rentals provided the tent, tables, chairs, bars, and all of the catering rentals for my reception, and everything was wonderful!! From the start, Laura was so great to work with - she was helpful in answering my questions, patient as I changed my mind probably more times than could be counted, and always positive and optimistic about the weather as I worried about my outdoor reception. The week of, as the forecast called off and on for storms, she was a huge help in guiding us to the best decisions with cancellations. When the set up guys came the day before, they were flexible and kind as we made a few small adjustments to where the tent would be set up. It did in fact downpour at our reception, but we had the time of our lives, and the tent was PERFECT for protecting us from the elements! When the crew came to break down, the yard was a disaster with ankle-deep mud, but I never heard one peep of a complaint from them - they instead told me how happy they were that we had a great time despite the weather. Their positive attitudes, given the task ahead of them (hours of break down in the mud), were really and truly appreciated. Overall, we were thrilled with everything about Distinctive. Thanks again for being such a big part of our wedding day and helping everything come together so well!!

I recently had to plan a rehearsal dinner for my son. A friend recommended I call Distinctive Event Rentals for the items I needed. I made an appointment and was helped by Norma. Norma was wonderful. She was such a big help with ideas and suggestions. I was very impressed with the quality and selection at Distinctive. Even though the colors we had to use were unusual, they had everything we needed available. Norma even helped with table decoration suggestions. We chose a rustic lantern. Everything was beautiful. I was so pleased. The planner for the venue took photos of our dinner to use in their advertising packet. Distinctive made everything so easy. Pickup and return was a breeze and their prices were so reasonable. I had never thought to use a rental company before. I will use Distinctive again and I will definitely recommend them to others.

This company is wonderful. Used them for my daughter's wedding in our backyard and we couldn't have been happier with the result. The owner came out and made recommendations and was more concerned with the comfort of our guest then making a sale. His staff that came out to put up the tent, table, & chairs were top notch. Very easy to work with, courteous and professional. They came very highly recommended by the caterers we used as well as some of the other vendors. I will only use Distinctive Event Rentals when I have another entertaining event. Thanks to all of their staff for making this special occasion carefree.

I had an outdoor wedding and used Distinctive for pretty much all my rentals. The tent was beautiful! I rented lighting, linens, napkins, silverware, plates, glasses, stage, and dance floor from them and everything was very nice. They have a large selection of rentals and the customer service is awesome. Alison was my go-to girl. She is wonderful to work with and has great ideas to help with decor. She helped me tons and it turned out beautiful!!

We cannot believe how satisfied we are with Distinctive Event Rentals. We rented the scuba chair covers for our wedding at CNU and they really made the reception ballroom look beautiful and modern along with the lighting. Our point of contact at Distinctive was Alison McPherson and she by far made our experience with Distinctive painless. She was very professional, timely, and pleasant to speak with via email and phone. Their operations were extremely flexible for our wedding time frame, as well. We made adjustments to our contract numerous times (due to the change in the amount of guests coming to the wedding) and we did not encounter any issues asking for those changes. To top it off, we did not have to be present at CNU for the crew to drop off or pick up our rental equipment, which made scheduling around the wedding easier. We will absolutely recommend Distinctive Event Rentals to anyone who is having a wedding in the Williamsburg-Norfolk area.

Distinctive Event Rentals was top notch from the awesome event specialist Laura, to the ground crew and everyone in between! As a mother of the bride who had to plan this event many miles from home they were extremely helpful to both myself and my daughter! They were always flexible with work schedules, helpful in making suggestions and keeping cost in line with the event, they even took the time to meet me and my daughter at the venue! The ground crews were equally as impressive, timely, professional and set my mind at ease. I highly recommend this company to anyone planning an event! Norma worked with us throughout the entire process, offering up common sense advice and making sure we had everything squared away. Their rental system is great because it allows you to make the necessary changes based on the needs for your event. We made changes to our order 36 hours before the order went out for delivery and everything worked out great. Also, Bill, the owner is a great guy. He genuinely wants the customer's experience to be great.

The thing we loved about Distinctive was that we could get it ALL in one place. No running around for different items from numerous places. They were great about suggesting little things that add just the touch, but also clueing us in on easy ways to stay in the budget. We toured their huge (and still expanding) facility, where linens, tables, chairs, dishes, and silver were perfectly organized and well cared for. The staff were all quite friendly and clearly love doing a good job.
We were so glad to have the flooring and tent all set up slightly ahead of schedule--it was that August Saturday when we got buckets more rain than predicted. It was perfect inside the tent, and with a well working sound system we could all be heard just fine above the pitter-patters. Distinctive made it a day full of happy memories.

I was the caterer for this wedding's rehearsal dinner; I came with the customer to Distintive's showroom; we dealt with Norma; she took time with us to set tables until the customer had picked out everything they needed. She took time to let the customer decide and gave many options to choose from. The Family Life Center was transformed into a beautiful dining hall. We have used this rental company for many events in the past and would highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

I worked with Norma at Distinctive to choose our rentals and she was great. I was a little overwhelmed by the all of the details that I had to choose to pull our reception look together but she made the process fun and easy. We literally had to rent everything for our reception (china, silver, glassware, stemware, salt and pepper shakers, etc) and we were able to get the look we wanted as Distinctive had the best selection to choose from and the best prices (I did a lot of research before choosing who to go with). They are also very connected within the Virginia/NC wedding industry which made setting up all of the logistics very easy which was important since we did not use a wedding coordinator.

This is the best rental company out there. All of their rental items are clean and their staff is very knowledgeable and professional. I had a wedding in my parent's back yard on the water and increased to a larger tent (due to weather) at about 4 days notice and it was perfect. I rented tables, chairs and a bar. Awesome!

We used Distinctive for our October 2012 wedding. We rented a dance floor, table linens, cake stand, and trash cans. They delivered the day before the wedding and picked everything up on Monday. They do offer Sunday pickup for an extra fee which was not bad considering it is their day off. I called many times to add things and take things away but they never got frustrated with me and were very helpful! In the end, they actually owed me money (because I ended up not needing a couple things) and I received my refund check fairly quickly.

I had my whole wedding planned when I met the representatives from Distinctive Events at a bridal show in Norfolk, VA. I even had contracts for furnsihings with another company. After meeting Norma, I changed my mind on everything. I had a new vision and Distinctive Events had everything I needed. I went to the showroom and could put my hands on EVERYTHING I NEEDED. They even let me walk through the warehouse and that is where I found more ideas. Norma was very helpful by giving me her input and suggestions on how to use things to help my vision. We instantly formed a bond. She was very flexible in constructing my contract that I could add, delete, change, make payments and everything. I thought I was bothering her with all my questions, adds and deletes but everytime I called she was just as willing to help as the day I met her. She even called me a few times just to make sure everything was going well and that I had everything I needed. The day before the wedding, when everything was delivered, the delivery guys were so helpful. They came during reheresal and I was impressed with their willingness to go the extra mile to help. The day of, the owner, Bill came all the way to the site just to give his stamp of approval and to ensure I got everything I needed. They even sent a few extras, just in case. Now thats commitment to make sure the BRIDE is SATISIFED. I appreciate DISTINCTIVE EVENTS.

We recently had an event for 150 people on the water in Dare County North Carolina. Distivctive Rentals of Chesapeake provided us with a Clear Top Tent, stand up tables and large round tables with chairs. They also provided us with a stage and sound equipment. We also rented glasses, table cloths and ties.

The staff at Distinctive Rentals helped us with the selection process and the President of the Company came to the site to be sure the approporiate tent was being used and that additional marquee tents would be sufficient to provide protection from inclement weather.

The professionals at Distinctive Rentals could not have been more helpfu. We received so many wonderful comments on the decor and the tent which was spectacular even though the weather was not cooperating. Holding an event for 150+ people is not easy, but in our case, it was made a lot easier by the professionalism, thoughtfulness and attention to detail we received from Laura and Bill at Distinctive Rentals. We will use them again.

From the first phone call DER was an the ball. I had no idea what I wanted or needed and they helped me through every step. The tent size, number of tables and chairs (the white "wood look" resin chairs are sturdy and beautiful) to the table settings. They made suggestions as to what what we could do and how to put in inexpensive special touches. Not one item was overlooked - no thanks to me, the clueless bride. The 15" market umbrella and the tent chandelier were the talk of all the guests. When I called to add rain contingencies 3 weeks before the wedding, they called back with a more cost effective plan. These folks came when the said they would, with courteous and professional staff, and the job was done right. The sales, in house staff and site crews were all easy to work with. The site crew even made changes on the spot to make the "look and feel" of the space more appealing. Would never call another rental place!

The day before my wedding my chair covers that I had rented from another company came inand they were 3 inches too short. My planner called Norma at Distinctive and the next morning ( the morning of the wedding) my venue had 200 chair covers and sashes covering all of the chairs!!

Distinctive is great Norma is very helpful and will work with any budget and style!

I really enjoyed working with this vendor for rentals. They had pretty much everything we wanted, were easy to work with, let me make changes to my rentals even the day before the ceremony, and had so many beautiful things to choose from. I love DER!!! Their products are beautiful. I love their staff especially Norma, Maria, and Carol. They are the kindest and sweetest people I have ever met. I truly highly recommend this event rental to all the wedding out there.

Gorgeous linens and rentals! They take fantastic care of all of their items. The mahogany bar we rented was fantastic and the chairs had been freshly (not too freshly) painted. Linens were meticulously maintained. Also, they were extremely competitive in price and had a much better selection than any other vendor in HR we talked to.

Our venue provided all the tables and chairs we needed, but we rented tablecloths and a huge gazebo from Distinctive Event Rentals. Everything we got was great, with the exception of one of the tablecloths. It had a huge hole in the center, but one quick call had everything settled. They were great to work with!

Distinctive Events did an AMAZING job at my wedding. Friends and family are still talking about how beautiful it was. Thanks to the amazing dance floor, stage for the band, tables, chairs, dishes, tent for the cocktail hour, and all the other beautiful equipment we used, we had the perfect wedding. My Mom was able to work closely with the staff and had top notch service throughout the whole process. This company definitely earns its 5 stars!!!

Look no further if you are in need of party rental equipment in the Tidewater, VA area. Distinctive Event Rental provided outstanding service and fabulous products for my daughter's wedding. The staff was excellent in guiding us while selecting the items we would need for our wedding. They were also very kind and flexible in regards to returning items. The variety of items was really amazing too. Our pickup and delivery was handled very efficiently. Lastly, their prices were extremely fair. I would use them again for any rental needs.

Distinctive Event Rentals was 5 star all the way. They were recommended from a friend that had used them in the past. We booked almost a year in advance, just to be sure we got the tent we wanted. They were very helpful in all aspects from the size tent we would need - to the last minute changes we needed to make. The workers arrived to set the tent up on time, set up the tables for us, and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. We would absolutely use them again if we ever needed rentals for another occasion. Highly recommend them.

I got married on June 16, 2018 and we chose to use Distinctive Event Rentals for our special day. We rented simple white folding chairs to be used outdoors for our ceremony, and various sizes of table cloths, cloth napkins, and a small table for the reception. Distinctive Event Rentals was great about allowing changes to our order up to three days prior to the wedding which was awesome because I had to make a few changes along the way. The employees were very friendly and helpful every time I called and they were quick to respond to emails. They delivered and picked up the rentals on time and as planned. I would highly recommend this company to other couples needing rentals!

Working with Distinctive Events for our wedding was such a pleasant experience. This was the only rental company I contacted that actually invited me to their showroom and sat down with me to have a consultation about what I needed. Everyplace else I contacted just sent me a quote and that was the end of it. But Laura took the time to carefully go through everything we needed, showed me the different options available, helped me decide on quantities, and helped with suggestions of things that I hadn't thought about. She even set up mock tables for me so I could get an idea of what the different linen and chair combinations would look like. This is really what I needed, since I had never even planned a big party before let alone a wedding. Plus, they were very flexible with letting me add and change things up until a few days before the wedding. They even rescheduled our pickup time when we weren't able to get everything ready in time for the original pickup. I highly recommend using Distinctive Event Rentals - everything we rented was great, and their professionalism and service can't be beat.

Distinctive Event Rentals was great to work with. I visited the showroom beforehand and really appreciated how everything was laid out so you could really see it. They even took us in the back to view parts of the gazebo that I planned to rent.

I rented tall silver vases for my wedding, linens, chiavari chairs, and a wrought iron arbor. Overall I was very please with the quality of everything, except one of the vases leaned in its base, and couldn't be set straight. I paid extra to have the items delivered within a two hour time window, and they came within that time frame. I didn't expect it to take quite so long for the guys to set up the gazebo (over an hour) and that put us behind a bit schedule since we were draping it with fabric. Otherwise the finished product looked great, and the decor adding a lot to my wedding and reception.

Easy to work with!

Our venue originally required going through Distinctive (they later added another company but we'd already reserved everything), and I'm glad they did! Distinctive, and particularly Savannah, was very easy to work with! You do have to inquire about pricing for everything (a lot used to be listed on their website but is not anymore), but they are very upfront about everything. We ended up spending quite a lot to make sure we had everything covered, but it was well worth it and the peace of mind. Savannah was very friendly and helpful, and didn't seem bothered at all by my incessant questions and concerns. Thank you Savannah and the whole Distinctive team for helping make our day perfect!

We needed to rent a PA system, Chuppah, cake stand, and dance floor. Distinctive event rentals was very accommodating. The company did all of the delivery, set-up, and pick-up. All we had to do was pay and tell them where it all went. Simple and stress free. They were also one of the cheapest we found for the dance floor, and the floor was actually quiet beautiful. They had some many options on rentals as well. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for rentals in the area.

I would highly recommend Distinctive. They have an extensive collection and the staff are incredibly professional, thorough, and helpful. They came out to our venue multiple times and were incredibly patient with our many requests!

Great to work with - they had tons of options on chairs, tents, dance floors, linens, and tables - everything that we needed was available in many styles so that we could choose the look that would best complete our special day. They arrived to set up tents and chairs for our backyard two days early so that we could focus on decorating in the remaining time. They were also great to work with through email and over the phone - they answered all of our questions concerning the differences in items, and made changes to our list as we decided. Highly recommend!

Overall, Distinctive Event Rentals is a wonderful company to work with! Norma helped us from day one! She was very knowledgeable about what was necessary at a wedding and offered great suggestions for items we may have forgotten. She was very accommodating through all of the contract revisions, up until 3 days prior to the event. The only issue we encountered was resolved by them without a single complaint from me! The delivery men were prompt and helpful. They went out of their way to help us with set-up challenges that didn't even have anything to do with their delivery items. As I said, the only issue we encountered was poor quality lanterns. One of them was hot glued together at the top and half of them had broken/missing glass panels in the sides. While I was pretty upset at delivery, we put the poor quality lanterns in dimly lit areas and went on with the day. Within days of the wedding, I was contacted by Distinctive Event Rentals and somehow they had heard about the lanterns and informed me a refund check for the cost of the lanterns was on its way. Great customer service and products overall!!

They had a good selection and quality products. They delivered the materials 2 days in advance, which was very nice. For some things, they were more expensive, but we visited other vendors and they were more difficult to work with. Also, our planner and florist endorsed this company and had some more negative experiences with other rental companies. We rented 2 types of chairs, linens and overlays, and a cake stand. We were satisfied.

I love Norma! She was such a great representative for Distinctive. I was the most wishy washy bride when it came to my linens, but she stood by me each and every time I changed my mind. In the end, I decided that I would have to spend a little more money to get the look I wanted, and boy did I get it! My tables looked so amazing. I was very happy with everything distinctive rented to us. The columns are probably the best deal in that whole warehouse- with them, my ceremony was stunning. If you want professional service and a team that will truly work with you, hire this company. Believe me, they wont rest until you are finally happy with your choices.

Very easy to use. Solved a few linens headaches that weren't their fault. Room for improvement on their deposit policy. They send checks back instead of refunding credit cards. Not a big deal but just should be communicated to clients at the beginning of the contract process.

Distinctive Event Rentals was outstanding. Our wedding was held during a Tropical Storm warning, and they did everything possible to accommodate the venue when the weather did not cooperate.
