We used Cupcakes Squared for our wedding on November 4, 2017 and are so happy that we did. First of all, the young woman in the bakery was amazing and so helpful when we had our free tasting. Then Robin, the owner, was amazingly helpful and sweet every time I had a question for her. The cupcakes are amazing and so flavorful, and when you order them for a wedding, they come with a small cutting cake. Robin was so great and decorated our cake with crushed graham crackers and small decorations to go with our beach theme, and even put our cake topper on when she delivered it to the venue.
Lastly, the vegan/gluten free cupcakes are even more amazing than the regular cupcakes, which are the bomb!! We ordered 8 dozen mini cupcakes, with 8 flavors, plus our cake which was a different flavor. We ordered lemon and chocolate (1 dozen each) in the vegan/gluten free, and they were the first ones to go. Everyone raved about them, both the look and the flavor. I am so pleased with everything that Robin and her team did, and will definitely be using them again!

We used Cupcakes Squared for our wedding and everything was absolutely fantastic! The presentation was beautiful and they tasted amazing! Our guests loved them! We did a bunch of different flavors of mini cupcakes so people could pick a couple of flavors. They also did a little cake that we cut for our cake cutting and provided take home boxes for guests. First, the cupcakes were delicious. Secondly, they're different because they're square. And third and even more important - Robin the owner was so accommodating and helpful in guiding us to the correct size order. We finally decided to order the mini's which were a great fit for our event. It took us a while to determine flavors & robin was so generous - In our intimate guest list - we had to accommodate, gluten-free/celiac, vegan, paleo and lactose intolerant guests. Robin was willing to do what we needed. The cupcakes were a huge hit - she supplied boxes for guest to take some if any were left (which there were & guests loved it). Robin was timely in delivery and set up. I can't say enough good things about Cupcakes Squared.

Wow! It was great working with cupcakes squared! My husband and most of his family is gluten free, and cupcakes squared has so many flavors in the gluten free option. My mother in law commented on how moist the cupcakes were and my mother said most of our guests wanted to try all the flavors. Definitely go with the mini cupcakes, they're the perfect size! Oh and the staff was very helpful during the taste testing!!

Yum, yum, YUM!! We decided to go with cupcakes instead of a main cake for our recent wedding, and it was the BEST idea. Cupcakes Squared has an amazing menu of flavors, and you can choose from standard or mini-sized cupcakes. Our guests loved the flavors, and they were definitely a topic of conversation after dinner. We will definitely use Cupcakes Squared again, and we would highly recommend them for any event!

Best Cupcakes in San Diego hands down. We have been coming to this bakery long before we even got engaged and wouldn't have dreamed of choosing any other place for our wedding reception. The cupcakes are you guessed it! square, and are topped with the perfect amount of frosting. They have so many different flavors, all of which are phenomenal and look beautiful. My guests enjoyed the mini cupcakes, we got a ton (over 400) so each person could try a few different flavors, had a cutting cake and it was less than the cost of a traditional wedding cake . I received nothing but rave reviews from everyone and will be using them for any event I have in the future, oh and will probably just stop by for one or two on a whim. Delicious!

Best wedding cake option ever! We had them do our wedding cupcakes for our 11.11.11 wedding and they were FANTASTIC!
The colors are fantastic and the flavors are AMAZING! We ordered about 50 more than suggested for our wedding and we didnt have ANY cupcakes left ;) We got 4 different flavors in minis so our guests would have an option -- and I think they loved them all!
We will definitely use CupCakes Squared for all of our celebrations!

Cupcake Squared was a WONDERFUL choice for our wedding!! It allowed for many different flavor choices as well as a beautiful display!! The shop in point loma is adorable, and everyone there is passionate about cupcakes (I mean how could you not be!!). The environment was wonderful, and they are all so excited to help you in every step of the process- picking/sampling flavors, delivery, set up if you choose... And they are also amazing when it comes to allergies. I am allergic to gluten and they made an entire cutting cake for me and my husband that was gluten free and, I think, tasted better than normal cupcakes!! The whole experience was just wonderful!!

I loved these cupcakes! I was referred to Cupcakes Squared by a co-worker and I'm so glad I took the referral! Robin was very easy to work with - and the cupcakes are just delicious. We chose 5 flavors: Lilikoi, Mocha, Vanilla Chai, S'Mores and Strawberry Cream. My only complaint was that I didn't get to eat as many as I wanted to! =) The presentation was perfect and all my guests just loved the mini-size - so much easier to eat! And they were able to try a couple flavors. They were very accomodating with me being an out-of-town bride too - I was in San Diego only a couple times before the big day, and they made sure I had the tasting flavors I wanted - I can't say enough great things.

Cupcakes Sqaured was one of the best vendor decisions I made. All of our guests RAVED about the cupcakes. We ordered more than two dozen more cupcakes than guests we were expecting and were only left with four cupcakes at the end of the night--everyone loved them that much! They let you choose a number of different flavors and have a great stand for you to rent and display the cupcakes. They are really flexible and everything they do is delicious. They bake the cupcakes that same day and don't use any artificial colorings or flavors. Also, many of my family members are diabetic and they have a sugar-free cupcake option which was incredibly helpful. You won't be disappointed by choosing Cupcakes Squared!

We had cupcakes squared as our wedding cupcakes for out wedding on September 18th. They were AMAZING! We went with the mini cupcakes, and did half red velvet and half carrot cake. We got so many compliments from our guests. The presentation was beautiful, and they made it really easy with their setup. You can't go wrong with them!

The cupcakes were so yummy! They were displayed so cute and they were all gone before the night was over. We used the chocolate peanutbutter, chocolate squared, carrot cake and cheesecake.

AMazing!! Cupcakes squared made our dinner. They were amazing in every way! they tasted amazing and were very easy to work with. On the day of the wedding I had to pick up my cupcakes before and take them to the resturant. They didn't open till 11 but allowed me to come and pick them up at 10am! I loved that they let us pick them up early because it made my day so much easier! Thank you Cupcakes Squared! =]]]

We loved our cupcake cake. We opted for 4 flavors of the mini cupcakes and it was the perfect amount and variety for our guests. We rented the stand from them and they set up everything for us. The chocolate raspberry and lilikoi were my favorite flavors. They provided the top tier cutting cake at no charge and even provided us with a military discount. Robin was great at answering all my questions. Very easy to work with and the we got so may compliments on how cute and tasty the cupcakes were.

Rather than a traditional wedding cake, my husband and I decided on cupcakes. We attended two cake tasting sessions and the staff was more than helpful to accommodate us. Their cupcakes are delicious and moist and we couldn't get enough of it (hence, 2 cake tasting sessions). The advantages of Cupcakes Squared are that they provide a mini cake for the "traditional cake cutting ceremony", have assorted flavors (i.e. lilikoi, chai), and their price is very reasonable.

Cupcake Squared did the cupcakes for my wedding and they turned out absolutely beautiful as well as tastey!!! We had them put them in white boxes with aqua ribbons (the color they selected could not have been more right on) and then we stacked them in a cake tower! They looked so great! Their prices were great... much less then buying a cake from the resort and paying a cutting fee!! We got so many comments from our guests about how much they loved these cupcakes! Great job and thank you so much for helping to make my wedding so perfect!!

First of all, we didn't use this vendor for our cake, one of our friends made the that. We got some cupcakes for the guests during the "cocktail hour" while we were getting our pictures taken. They have small cupcakes (in addition to large, we used the small ones) which were perfect as a little snack for our guests. Not only that but they were delicious!!! And they were baked fresh that day right before the wedding. Very friendly staff as well. I would highly recommend this vendor! If we hadn't had our friend make the cake, I most definitely would have gone with cupcakes from Cupcakes Squared.

We love cupcakes squared! They were so nice, every time we stopped in to try cupcakes they remembered us and were always happy to give us samples.
The day of the wedding they delivered and set up the cupcakes and they were beautiful. They tasted fabulous too, so moist!

We didn't want the traditional wedding cake, so we decided to search for alternatives. What better than SQUARED cupcakes?! Not only are they delicious, but they are SO cute! My favorite is Peanut Butter and Jelly :) On the day of the wedding the cake looked beautiful and we received many compliments about choosing cupcakes. I would definitely recommend Cupcakes Squared to other couples!

I loved having cupcakes as an alternative to a wedding cake. They were displayed beautifully on a tier, and tasted delicious. Everyone loved them.

My wife and I decided to forego the more traditional wedding cake and do cupcakes instead. They were a big hit! Anyone who wanted to have a cupcake was able to choose from four flavors - there was something for everybody. Cupcakes Squared made several flavors of cupcakes for our wedding - each one was especially tastey!
Since we are from out of the area, the ladies over at Cupcake Squared were very accomadating in meeting with us for our tasting. They delivered and set-up our cupcakes flawlessly. I would definately recommend them to anyone in the San Diego.

What can I say except for cupcake squared is absolutely delicious. I was the bride that did not care much about how fancy our cupcakes were going to look but they had better be delicious. I loved that the cupcakes were square shaped. We picked three flavors: Lilokoi, Strawberry, Bailey's cream. Just the names alone sound delicious. At the end of the night there were no cupcakes left for us to take home. WIth that said, cupcake squared was a winner!

We ordered Cupcakes Squared for our wedding and they were amazing! We chose over 7 flavors of both sizes and she had no problem accommodating our request. The guests loved the selection! And we ended up ordering extras because we knew everyone would want to try them. PLUS - they are all organic so they don't use any additives or food colorings - a definite bonus for anyone worried about that. They delivered and setup the cupcakes too, which was a nice addition to have so that I wouldn't have to worry about it - or my wedding planner either. Very nice people to work with!

cupcakes squared is a bakery with mini square cupcakes. They also provide a cake stand and delivery.
Robin, the owner personally delivered the cupcakes to the venue and set them up.

Thanks for the amazing cupcakes for our wedding. I am gluten free and they made delicious cupcakes just for me. Others eventually tried them the next day and couldn't even tell the difference. The flavors and options we had were incredible and we ended getting 8 different flavors mixed between the large and small sizes. The display at the reception that they provided us with was really cool and got a lot of attention.

We loved our Wedding Cake. They have a special tier for weddings and parties that you can rent so it looks like a fancy tiered cake made from cupcakes. Our guests really loves that they got to choose their flavor especially since some of our guests had a gluten free diet restriction and Cupcakes Squared was able to easily accomidate this at no extra charge. The only problem was some of the chocolate ones having their frosting melt in the sun but I didn't even notice until we were cutting the cake and I don't think anyone else did either! We loved them so much we have used them for every occasion since then.

This is the best place to get gourmet cupcakes for any occasion, in September 2013 we used them for our wedding. Cupcakes for a wedding is a great alternative from the tradition of wedding cake, cake cutting and plating. Besides, who doesn't like the opportunity to have 4 different flavors all fresh made with real fresh ingredients, preservative and stabilizer free? These are not your average cupcakes, they are truly a delicacy. With flavors like Smore's, Peanut Butter Berry (AKA PB&J), Maple Pecan you can't just eat one, but who would want to they are amazing how they melt in your mouth. You can taste the quality with how they select fresh strawberries or pumpkins for their seasonal flavors. I knew I didn't want a traditional wedding cake but I also felt like cupcakes were getting to be a "been done" alternative. Cupcakes Squared was the perfect solution!! None of our family and friends from out of town had ever seen square cupcakes before. I love that the cupcakes are made using fresh ingredients, you can taste the difference. We were also able to get a gluten free cupcake for a family member with gluten allergy who normally doesn't get to enjoy dessert. He was so thrilled! The tasting was fun and easy, and the whole experience was easy, affordable and enjoyable. You will even get a free cutting cake for the top of your cupcake tower in your favorite flavor!

Cupcakes squared was a pleasure to work with, as they allowed for us to have a tasting of four flavors to help us make our decision. They have so much variety (you can mix and match cakes and frostings!) and also can make any cupcake gluten free if necessary! It is pricey though, compared to sheet cakes, but their presentation and yummy flavors makes up for it!! I would definitely recommend their carrot cake, mocha, not so red velvet, and lemon with cream cheese frosting. Although cupcakes squared basically looks like a square slice of cake, each flavor is individually decorated and tastes delicious!

We were really bummed to find out we were responsible for taking the stand back and finding that out two days before the wedding. They did not get along with our reception place and caused some problems. The cupcakes are great though!
