My husband and I wanted live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and we could not be happier that we chose Cuerdas. They were responsive, professional, and so easy to work with. They provided us with their full repertoire from which we were able to select the songs we wanted and specify when to play them. They were even happy to make suggestions, such as when I reached out and asked for recommendations for a funny, goofy song to play while my adult brother walked down the aisle as the "flower girl." They sent us so many suggestions to choose from depending on our vibe, and were so excited. I appreciated that their repertoire included both traditional music, modern music, and also unexpected options, like movie soundtrack music (my husband walked down the aisle to music from Lord of the Rings!) Overall, they did a fantastic job, and we were so happy with their performance. I recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much for your contribution to our special day! -

I had a Live Karaoke Band for my 40th birthday party!! They made sure every guest was on time and in tune!! Their repertoire includes everything from Handel to el BadBo, from Bossa Nova to Metal down to every note of every solo. Was every birthday guest in tempo? Absolutely not! But they knew where in the song you were, where *they* were and how to kindly take you there. Out of tune? That's ok, Cuerdas a la N makes you sound amazing no matter what key you believe you're in.
I love them! And if I could, I'd have them every year for my birthday.
OMG did I tell you it was a full band?! Drums, bass, piano/keyboard, cello and violin. But you can totally book just a duet if that's your style! -

They were affordable, prompt with their communication, and had a vast library of songs to choose from. Guests were commenting on how interesting the songs were during the cocktail hour. This duo power team of a violinist and cellist performed at our wedding this past summer, and they were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment the music began, it set the tone for the entire day and truly tied everything together in the most breathtaking way. The combination of violin and cello created such a beautiful, emotional atmosphere—elegant, romantic, and incredibly fun all at the same time.
Their talent and energy elevated every moment, from the ceremony to the transitions, and so many of our guests commented on how wonderful the music was. It added a magical layer to our wedding that made it feel complete and unforgettable. We couldn’t have imagined our day without them and would recommend them a thousand times over. -

The best of the best
This incredible stringed duo was unbelievable. I needed to make last minute arrangements for a beach front surprise proposal in Rincon, and they came through with such late notice. It even down-poured as soon as the couple had arrived, but Karl and Susana played on! Through all the delays and mishaps, their communication was on point, and I couldn’t have planned this special moment without the eagerness and passion that they bring. Do not hesitate to book with Susana and Karl. -

I loved everything about cuerdas(n) we hired them as a violin/cello duo to play music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The music was just the perfect addition to our special day. When hiring them, I selected music from their very wide array of song selections to be played during cocktail hour, and about two months before the wedding I emailed my song selections for the ceremony. They responded right away and played all songs to perfection. For anyone thinking of taking the leap, just do it! -

Susana and Karl were perfect for our beachside wedding! They play a wonderful mix of classic and current hits on the violin and cello. There are so many songs to choose from, even ranging to country and hiphop! Communication was great, and they learned a song I requested to walk down the aisle to, which was so special. One of the experiences our guests still compliment us on is the instrumental music played by Cuerdas during the welcome, ceremony and cocktail hour! They did an incredible job at incorporating more contemporary and mainstream music and including songs from video games and movies. They also took my husband's request for a Hans Zimmer song for our walkout.
We had the piano, cello, and violin trio which I highly recommend! -

Este verano en Julio 2023 contamos con los servicios de cuerdas n para la ceremonia de nuestra boda en la catedral de Mayagüez, todo fue hermoso. Mi esposo y yo somos amantes a las películas por lo que me emociono mucho que en el catálogo de cuerdas n se encontrara tanta música de orquestas de cine. Fueron muy atentos a mi selección e incluso hicieron ajustes para añadirme algunas canciones más. Estuvieron tocando desde el momento que comenzaron a llegar los invitados. Tan pronto entre a la catedral y escuche la canción que escogí para mis damas me llene de emoción. Luego en mi entrada hicieron un ajuste entre dos canciones tal y cual lo pedí. Fue perfecto. Nos emocionamos mucho durante la ceremonia escuchando y reconociendo todas las canciones que tocaron para nosotros. Incluso al final de la noche y días después fue algo de lo que hablamos con nuestro sequito e invitados, cuales canciones lograron reconocer y lo genial que fue la música. Sin duda alguna hicieron de nuestro día uno más especial. -

Cuerdas did an amazing job at out wedding for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We unfortunately did not have time to talk to them in person on the day of our wedding but they were easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding day and we heard lots of compliments from guests. They also have an EXTENSIVE repertoire for you to choose from to fit all vibes/themes. They added a special touch to our day, we only wish we (the bride and groom) could have enjoyed them a little more but it was such a busy day. -

I could not be more thrilled with how they played in my wedding! I didn't think I'd find violinists that could play within my taste of music. I prefer contemporary and film music. So I was expecting to not have my ideal repertoire playing in my wedding. Luckily that was not the case with Cuerdas^n! They even played a custom anime song that I'd requested! And they played it so beautifully! I was able to channel my personality through them, and im so grateful for that! All the guests complimented our choice in violinists. Cuerdas provided the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We had a trio with violin, cello, and guitar. This arrangement was absolutely gorgeous and it still blows my mind how amazing they sounded. There is something special about having live music during the ceremony, and Cuerdas absolutely delivered. I couldn't imagine a better music experience.
Cuerdas was extremely professional and stayed in communication with us on which songs we wanted included, and even learned some new ones specifically for our ceremony. If you're looking for live music for your wedding ceremony, definitely hire Cuerdas. -

Planning a destination wedding during COVID was anything but easy. Cuerdas not only was incredibly communicative with us from the beginning, but they also went along with all the last minute changes that came at us. Being a musician myself, I was so worried about the music piece. It was so special to me that Cuerdas learned the songs for us; especially knowing that certain tunes had such a a special place in our hearts. Besides all that, they are TALENTED! We specifically asked for a viola instead of a violin, and even that request was something they took on gladly. Thank you guys for making our day that much more special. -

Susana and Karl were absolutely amazing throughout the process! They were incredibly patient and flexible, and were happy to answer any questions we had. So many of our guests came up to tell us about how beautiful the ceremony and cocktail music was. If you're nerdy at all, they have an amazing collection of video game and nerdy songs - my MIL's jaw dropped after the ceremony when she told us how beautiful our wedding march was, and we got to tell her it was music from a video game we both loved playing ^^. We originally were planning on having a string trio, but something came up - Susana and Karla had a plan b, c, d, and e in place and made it work without stressing us out in the least. Can't recommend them enough - at the very least share their soundcloud link with everyone you know! -

Cuerdas is one of those decisions that you look back and realize your wedding wouldn't have been the same if it wasn't for them. When it came to responsiveness and professionalism, I wish I could give more than five stars. Susana & Karl were the most detailed oriented, friendly, professional musicians we could have asked for. When the event started, they preformed flawlessly! They did both the ceremony and cocktail hour and brought their vast experience and unrivaled talents to make our wedding exactly what we had hoped it would be! If you are getting married and get the opportunity to hire them, you would not be disappointed. They exceeded our expectations for so many reasons. One that quickly comes to mind was the learning of a few new songs I had requested just a few weeks before our wedding. I also believe they are by far the best value in wedding musicians! -

Having Cuerdas a la n on our weeding was the perfect touch for our ceremony. We had the string quartet and WAO, every piece was beautifully played. They are so talented, well prepared and organized. They have a very good repertoire and if you book them with time, you can ask for special requests (songs that they don't have on their repertoire) to learn.

Susanna and Karl are absolutely the best! Extremely talented and so humble and nice! Originally, I was going to have my wedding in Puerto Rico, but due to a change of plans, ended up doing it in NY where I live! Despite the change, Susanna and Karl happily agreed to come to NY to play at my wedding! Nicest people ever! They played during the ceremony and cocktail hour and it was beautiful! Susana is so talented - she managed to play the piano for us during short notice when we originally hired them for the violin and cello only! They have a wide range of selections from classical to contemporary music 🎼 I am still blown away by them and wish I had given them their own time to shine during our wedding reception! That is my biggest regret - not asking the DJ to pause and ask them to come and play the Game of Thrones theme song that they play so perfectly! My husband and I are huge Game of Thrones fans, but either way they have so many song selections I really wish more people could have heard! I found them online and loved their website's vibe... young, fresh educated. Attentive, accommodating, and on point, Susana was a sweetheart. Her (violin) and her partner (cello) 's performance was flawless and made our guests' experience even more magical amidst the beautiful natural surroundings of our countryside location in Puerto Rico. Enchanted Performance: Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception
We chose La Cuerdas for our reception in Old San Juan and everything exceeded my expectations. Coordination via email was smooth, payment via Paypal was very easy and the four hours of performance helped make this a day that we will not soon forget. They chose wonderful pieces and made a concerted effort to perform all the pieces we had requested, including new ones. They were prompt, polite and most importantly very talented. Incredibly talented professionals!
I wanted a romantic evening on the beach to propose to my girlfriend to some beautiful music. I cant say enough about them. They were prompt, accomdating, and talented and seemed just as excited as the family and everyone else. Thank you for making our special night even more special!

Highly recommended; we were looking for something different of high quality that adjusted to budget and were not disappointed!
My wedding was ceremony and reception in the same place. They played while guest waited for the bride; the entrance song (A thousands years, Christina Perri); while signing the documents; and the most impressive for us... We requested Nothing Else Matters, Metallica, in violin and cello for our wedding reception first dance; they said yes, and the results... SIMPLY AMAZING! Can't think of any other words to describe listening to this song at their hands. Guest were very pleased and surprise with their performance too! For each song, you could inmediatley identify what song they were playing. One of the best memories from our wedding!!
And a plus for brides doing the contracts with the vendors directly; I can definitely say things went very smoothly with Cuerdas^n; I even let this one to be handle by the groom :')(Cuerdas)n's reply:
