I don’t have enough good words to say about Gina. She is knowledgeable, kind, and excellent at her job. From the moment we booked her to the minute we left the dance floor at the wedding, she was the most helpful person. She made sure that we were on the same page every step of the way. She came with ideas and solutions when we had something that we wanted to do, but didn’t know quite how to execute. I would recommend her over and over again. You will not be disappointed and neither will your guests.

Gina is the BEST!!
Gina was absolutely amazing as our wedding DJ. Her live mixing kept us on the dance floor all night and even got my Grandparents dancing!
She was also incredibly attentive to us throughout the night, always making sure we had a drink in hand and everything we needed. She worked seamlessly with our photographer and coordinator so that we never had to check the time or worry about what came next.
On top of being insanely talented, Gina has a fantastic personality and brought such a fun energy to the entire planning process. At this point, I’m considering inviting her to future family events just for entertainment! Highly, highly recommend her and Crucial Entertainment.

Jason Betancourt with Crucial Entertainment was an absolute standout from start to finish. He set us up for success at every stage of our wedding with professionalism, warmth, and genuine expertise.
One of the things that impressed us most was how thoughtfully he curated the music. Our guest list spanned two cultures, my family (American/English-speaking) and my wife’s (American/Hispanic, Spanish-speaking), and Jason seamlessly blended both worlds into a playlist that had everyone on the dance floor.
Beyond the music itself, every logistical detail was handled flawlessly: sound setup, lighting, and punctual setup and breakdown without a hitch. But what truly set Jason apart was how much he helped us prepare for the day itself. My wife and I planned our entire wedding independently, and having someone with hundreds of weddings under his belt — someone who asked exactly the right questions and guided us through what we didn’t know to ask — was invaluable.
He’s not just talented at what he does; he’s kind, patient, and genuinely invested in making your day special. After just one evening together, it felt like we’d made a friend for life.

Perfect, couldn't ask for anything better
Gina was phenomenal to work with. She was easy to book, so flexible with meeting us (we planned our wedding from another city), and was super responsive. She was thorough in asking about songs we wanted to hear, songs that were requested, and most importantly, songs we *didn't* want to hear. I absolutely adored working with her. DJ you want at your wedding!
I'm a photographer of 16 years. Some DJs have really rubbed me the wrong way, made things about them with content, or do things when we leave the room after telling them we were taking a dinner break.. etc.. Gina is respectful of guests wishes, song requests, amazing transitions, all white stunning equipment setup.. and just a very cool person! I would highly recommend her!

Jason with Crucial Entertainment was one of the best parts of our wedding day. He did such a great job at hyping us and our guests up and keeping everyone on the dance floor. Dancing at weddings is usually not one of our favorite parts of the wedding as guests, so we weren't expecting to enjoy being on the dance floor at our wedding very much, but it was one of the best parts of the day because Jason did such a great job playing exactly the right songs to keep the energy where it needed to be. He also checked in with us as the bride and groom regularly to see if we needed anything or if we had any different requests. He's an excellent DJ and also just a really great guy. Our friends and family all thought he did an amazing job, especially my cousin who got to dance to all her favorite Taylor Swift songs. Jason is the absolute best and if you're thinking you want a DJ for your wedding in St. Louis, Jason is 100% your guy.

Brought the wedding fun!
I can’t recommend Gina enough. From the beginning she was professional, organized, and extremely nice. She made it known from the beginning that the day was about us and she wanted to do whatever she could so we had a perfect day. Gina arrived early, offered to help with any thing she could, had drinks waiting for us, and help control our large loud crowd. She played every song we chose and mixed in other songs that were perfect for our crowd. She made the dance floor the place to be! Every person I have seen since my wedding has said, “your dj was awesome”. Do yourself a favor and book Gina, and recomend her. You won’t have to worry about a thing!

Gina was absolutely amazing!!
From our first meeting, Gina was very invested and intentional. She puts a lot of thought and time into her DJ events. It's important to her to get to know her clients and our music styles before she arrives to your event, which we really appreciated! She wanted to ensure she created an evening that represented us and our music style, and she definitely did! I remember from our first meeting, she said, "This is going to be the wedding of the year!" It gave me butterflies! Gina absolutely delivered beyond our wildest dream! So many guests came up to me throughout the evening and the days after the wedding just raving about our DJ. The dance floor was packed all night! She read the room and played banger after banger which made it impossible to leave the dance floor!
Gina is the BEST DJ I've ever experienced. She is polite, professional, and so, very skilled at what she does. Her responses are prompt and detailed. It was an honor to have her expertise for our wedding reception! She made our reception more fun and lively than we could've ever dreamed! Highly recommend!!!

Best DJ in St. Louis
Gina hands down kept the party going for our wedding! We gave Gina our vision for the wedding and she executed it perfectly. From mashups to smooth transitions, she kept all of our guests dancing until the very end and we received so many compliments because of her. Gina was also very organized and easy to communicate with. She met up with us a few weeks before our event to do a final walk through which put us at ease. Gina even had the task of coordinating sound for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and executed them perfectly! I’d highly recommend Gina to DJ your next event!!

Jason was absolutely amazing to work with! From the initial talk over the phone, I could immediately sense how entertaining and professional he was going to be! It was also amazing that me and my now husband had the opportunity to meet him before our big day and talk through timelines and details that were important to us. One of my favorite parts of the evening was when Jason helped us pull off a gender reveal! When we brought it up at our meeting, Jason seemed so excited to be a part of it and helped us make it truly memorable!

I hired Gina for my 50th Bday celebration and I cannot say enough amazing things about her. Not only is she a really cool human, she is super professional and organized and has an amazing setup. But most importantly, her DJ skills are off the charts. From start to finish, working with Gina was a fantastic, stress-free experience. Crucial B is the best!
Jason was hands down awesome. He was everything you would want from a DJ at your wedding, and then some. The most important thing, he kept the dance floor jumping all night. He was able to improvise based on the crowd and never missed a beat. Furthermore, he took the extra time to make sure our day was perfect. He brought us drinks while we finished up pictures. He literally made our dinner plates for us (it was self-serve). He stayed late for us to have a last dance once everyone cleared out of the venue. I really can’t say enough about him and how thankful we are. Do not hesitate to book him, whether for a wedding, party, etc.

Go DJ, that's my DJ
Jason from Crucial B Entertainment was nothing short of incredible! He is so friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We were able to meet in person beforehand and go over everything which I appreciated (it felt a lot better than doing it over a phone call). I had made a bunch of Spotify playlists and he was able to help me edit them for all of the different parts of the ceremony/reception (including all of my crazy specific requests like walk-up songs for speeches, making mash-ups of certain songs, playing a Greek dance for my mom etc.). On the day of the wedding Jason was incredibly helpful - my sister officiated the wedding (her first time) and Jason helped her navigate the ceremony and even stepped in to announce where the cocktail hour was and that family should stay for photos. As the MC, he kept the whole night flowing seamlessly and provided a great vibe as the host. I am still getting compliments about the dance floor from guests two weeks later - multiple people told me that this was the only wedding they have been to where they didn’t sit down once or skip a song! The dance floor was popping all night and Jason even handed out our glow sticks for us and kept my husband and I hydrated (both with drinks & ice cold H2O!) We bonded so much throughout this process that I am literally going to recommend him to all of my friends, family, and loose acquaintances. I could not recommend Jason at Crucial B more!!

Its so lit!
We had DJ GINA DIGITY at our 175-person wedding. We LOVE to party and dance, and knew we had to have a very fun DJ. Gina went above and beyond!! She is METICULOUS about getting the vibes right at your wedding. We heard every song we wanted and more. Everyone (even old people) were out dancing at our wedding. I was having the time of my life thanks to Gina. Her set up was so classy and did not detract from our elegant wedding. We also loved supporting a female DJ. Women are just so reliable, organized, and better at most things (let's be honest). If you want a SUPER lit wedding--hire Gina!!

I picked Jason for our wedding party purely based on the reviews that I read on this website and he delivered!! My one request was to keep the party going and he did exactly that. The little things he did throughout the day were getting us a plate of appetizers or else we would have never gotten any and he also went through the buffet line with me (the bride) to make me a plate. My mom asked the day of for him to play a clip of a song during her speech and he nailed that. Also throughout the night, he wasn’t just a DJ but also a “host” for the transitions from each activity to the next which helped keep everyone engaged!

OMG! They were amazing!! We had Gina for our wedding day, and we were told by multiple people (including us) and multiple vendors she was the best DJ they've ever seen. Everyone was on the dance floor the ENTIRE night. Gina was also dressed extremely professional and was very attentive to my husband and me! Leading up to the wedding she was easy to get a hold of, very flexible for our needs and wants, and made sure all our requests were executed. On the day of, Gina would come over and make sure we were okay throughout the night like making sure we had drinks and we were overall happy. From the day we booked her, she has been amazing. Jason was an amazing DJ for our wedding! He was great to work with leading up to the wedding, and he was always responsive. On our wedding day, he was funny and attentive. Beyond being a great DJ, he went out of his way to get us food and drinks. He kept the dance floor going all night long and brought great energy. Completely happy with Jason at Crucial Entertainment!
Jason was a perfect wedding DJ! Great communication and organization leading up to the event— choosing music, going over the timeline of events, etc. We had a combination part indoor/part outdoor summer wedding and reception, and he was ready with two set-ups, so we could be flexible depending on the weather. A wedding DJ isn’t just in the background playing music: he’s really your MC for the event— introducing the wedding party as they come into the reception, keeping the flow of events running smoothly, making sure no one is just standing around bored, etc. Jason was amazing in this role! He was personable, organized, and had everyone enjoying themselves on the dance floor! He even gave my sister some DJing lessons and let her choose some songs! He and our wedding coordinator and our venue all worked so well together, and they commented how happy they are when they have events with him. Highly recommend!

Great DJ for Company and Birthday Events
I have used Crucial Entertainment twice now! Once for a company Chrismtas party and for a Birthday Party. Each time, Gina our DJ sat down with us to understand what did we want, what was the vibe, what if any restrictions were there and she did not disappoint in her execution for both events. She is easy to work with, genuinely excited about your event and DJ's with a smile on her face the entire evening. I couldn't recommend her more! We will definitely use her again at our next event.

Okay, need more convincing? DJ Gina was one of the best parts of our truly perfect day! From start to finish, we loved working with her. She is so approachable but professional, so chill but energetic. Gina even connected us with a performer for our after-party! She operates a well-oiled machine while also customizing everything for your special experience. We felt like Gina "got us" off the bat. Crucial Entertainment was Perfect for our Wedding!
We could not have been happier with our decision to hire Gina to DJ our wedding and reception. From the very beginning she understood our vision for the wedding and how we wanted it to be laid back, fun, and sincere. She was organized, on top of things, and even took moments to check on us and make sure we were doing okay during the reception! She incorporated all of our favorite music and made sure that there was never a lull on the dance floor. I can't think of a better person to hire for any event, and I honestly hope we get to throw another party in the near future just so we can have Gina DJ!

Gina did the absolute BEST job entertaining us and our guests this past weekend and we could not be happier with the job she did. She made everything so easy and was on top of her game! Jason was great!! Best night ever!
We loved having Jason with Crucial Entertainment as our DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. Jason communicated with us well and was very professional throughout everything. He was helpful in our process of picking music for our big day and even met with us on Zoom to help understand the vibe that we were going for. Our ceremony and reception went off without a hitch thanks to his attention to detail. You can really feel Jason’s passion for what he does and he helped breathe confidence into both of us when throwing the biggest party of our lives. We loved having Jason be part of our day and can’t recommend him enough!

Absolute Perfection
We have been to tons of weddings in the last few years, so when we were deciding on a DJ for our own, we were extremely picky. Gina was a perfect fit. She is such a genuinely kind human and was so flexible working with us to make our day special. Every detail was carefully planned out and curated to what we wanted. She is AMAZING at reading the crowd to keep the party going, we had so many people telling us throughout the evening that they thought she was doing a great job, too. I emailed her a week or two before our wedding making a last minute change to surprise my husband and she made it happen flawlessly. We cannot recommend Gina and Crucial Entertainment enough, it was one of the absolute best vendor choices we could have made.

Amazing Music and Personality!
We hired Jason for our wedding reception and he was absolutely phenomenal! He consistently checked up on my husband and I, checking if we needed anything (even outside of DJ responsibilities). He was so friendly and funny and worked with us through every step of the way. He nailed it with our song choices and playlist, kept everyone on their feet and dancing, and just was an amazing DJ and human being.

Gina was wonderful from beginning to end- from the planning process to the wedding itself, we felt heard and understood and cared for. So glad we got recommend Gina for our DJ.
We hired Gina with Crucial Entertainment because of word of mouth and so glad we did. We had a couple meetings before our big day to get to know each other and to go over our plan. Gina went above and beyond her job and is so great at what she does. She gets people on the dance floor, she even made sure we had drinks in her hand and sent me a video of some behind the scenes. We would definitely have her do it all over again.

Wow! There's so much I can say! First, I want to say that Jason is simply an amazing DJ! He did both our ceremony, and our reception. Im greatful for everything that he did! He brought us drinks when we got to our tables, and made sure we were ready. He helped make things go so smoothly! He helped us come up with a special plan/dance for my Aunt who plays a special part in my life. He had us come up with several songs, that If we heard it, it was time to be on the dance floor. You can see his kindness and compassion while you're around him. A special note, is he does wonderfully with anyone with special needs. I loved the way he was so kind with my Aunt. He even got on the dance floor and showed us a line dance! That was pretty cool! Although alot of our guests ventured outside of the venue (it was a barn venue) he knew how to cater to where our guests were and went with the flow! I would 110% recommend him to everyone!

We had the pleasure of working with both Jason and Jesse leading up to our wedding, with Jesse being the DJ day-of. Both of them are exceptional and were great to work with. Jesse had the dance floor full all night. The transitions between songs were great. Everyone was having so much fun. As a testament to how great the music was, the end of the reception came way too soon. We also hired Crucial Entertainment for our ceremony, which was excellent as well. Jesse also served as the MC throughout the evening and did a fantastic job. We found out about Crucial Entertainment through a referral, and I would 100% further that referral.

Gina was absolutely amazing from start to finish! She knew all the right questions to ask upfront and played every song we asked her to play (and then some)! Our dance floor was never empty and our guests were chanting ‘one more song’ by the end of the night! Jason with Crucial Entertainment was more than perfect at our wedding. He went above and beyond to even doing more than just being the DJ. He offered to get my food for me so I wouldn’t get anything on my dress. He also kept asking our head table if he could get us anything which was incredibly sweet. I still am getting messages about how great our music was! My cousin also was wanting to share his own song he wrote and Jason was more than happy to play it for him! He kept people on the dance floor the entire night! You will not regret booking with them! I will always recommend them!

I wish I could give 10 stars!!! Jason was AMAZING! Our family and friends all loved him and said he’s the best DJ they’ve seen at a wedding. He goes above and beyond a normal DJ. He’s very personable and funny. He has great ideas. My dad is a big transformers fan and played transformer sound effects while my dad walked out for our father daughter dance (the DJs idea & my dad loved it). He brought us girls drinks in the cabin while we were finishing getting ready. He helped direct the night so that it ran smoothly. Great song choices. He even snapped a few cute pictures and videos for us. He checked in throughout the night making sure we didn’t need anything. My husband and I couldn’t have been happier. If I could give an infinite amount of stars, believe me - I would!! Working with Gina (DJ GDiddy) was absolutely seamless from start to finish. We vibed with her so well and she really went above and beyond in getting to know us and understanding what we were envisioning for our reception. The dancefloor stayed PACKED the entire night, and I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. Gina was definitely a vibe guardian all night, checking in on my husband and I making sure we were having fun, seeing if we needed anything, keeping things on track with the timeline, taking care of any troubleshooting without fully needing to bring us into the conversation - everything. She even got a super cute video of everyone screaming and dancing to Taylor Swift, haha (see her Instagram @djgdiddy for that snippet of the night, currently at about 50k views!). Jason was hands down the highlight of the night. From the glow sticks he brought to the seamless song transitions, no one left the dance floor all night. Gina was a consummate professional from our first contact several months ago to the end of the reception. As the Mom-of-one-of-the-brides, there are million things of concern as it relates to planning and pulling off a wedding. If you hire Gina, you will have no DJ worries. Gina and Crucial Entertainment are AMAZING! Honestly, she took the worry out of the equation for the ceremony and reception. The bride and groom have so many things to do after the I do's; entry procession, cake cutting, toasts, first dances, special guests introductions, sparkler send off...the list goes on. Gina was everywhere, queuing them with 10 minute prompts, adjusting the time line after a bustle tussle and the late arrival of a special guest. Honestly, she was the BEST!! You will have no regrets!

Jason was absolutely amazing to work with! Choosing a DJ was stressful for me because I knew he/she could make or break the night and it's hard to know how a DJ is without seeing him/her in person which isn't usually possible. I would 100% hire Jason again and recommend you do as well. He was great at helping us plan, responsive to what we needed, and made our night so much fun! He knew exactly how to get people out on the floor and knew exactly what to do to keep them coming back. He did both our ceremony and reception and everything went flawlessly. We had been at a wedding where Gina was the DJ for a couple of year's back, so when we were looking for a DJ for our wedding we knew exactly who we wanted to keep our guests entertained on our big day! Gina exceeded our expectations and helped make our wedding perfect. Even with last minute venue switches due to weather, she made sure everything was set up and everything was ready to go prior to the start of the ceremony. We set up a meeting with Crucial Entertainment because of the very specific, raving reviews. We met with Jason over the phone the first time and we knew we would choose him before the meeting was even over. He is an amazing person all around and loves what he does. He made sure my husband and I had everything we needed every step of the way. He made sure I got dinner and always made sure I had a drink if I wanted one. He is an extremely fun, amazing DJ. Nobody left the dance floor all night. It was the best party I’ve ever been to! He knows what it takes to have a great wedding! My husband and I are extremely thankful to have met him and for everything he has done for us!

I am a researcher by profession and approached wedding planning with the same mindset. Gathered obsessive amounts of data, read every single review, asked for references before making any decision. Crucial Entertainment stood out to me based on their perfect reviews. When we connected with Jason via chat and then phone and then video call, we knew he was the perfect fit for our multicultural wedding. Jason was so organized and pleasant to work with throughout the planning process and day of. He mixed in all of our song requests (including Bollywood and my dad's very specific old-school requests) and made it sound seamless. He was so attentive and helpful and kept the evening running smoothly. The best review I could give is that I didn't have to do anything except enjoy my reception. No Need to Look Any Further... AMAZING
Jason was amazing. He listened to our thoughts and ideas and brought our vision to life. Our dream was to have the dance floor packed all night, and he delivered... which I think is a sign of a great DJ. He read the room and would change songs if needed. Jason also goes above and beyond in what he does. He not only DJ's at the reception, but mixes songs (if needed), makes sure the bride/groom has drinks available all night, caters to any needs, etc. Jason is flexible, yet responsive. He is everything you would want in a DJ and more! We have not only found a DJ, but a life-long friend!

Jason took care of everything and brought his A-Game!
Planning a wedding during a pandemic really sucks, but Jason made it really easy. He was flexible when we had to change dates and worked with us when we needed to plan multiple scenarios by offering a variety of solutions to the challenges that came up. When the big day came he BROUGHT IT. He was entertaining, listened to what we wanted and made our guests excited to get up and dance! We didn't want the party to end. We got married on November 13th and Jason was our DJ! I don’t think I can say enough great things about him! He helped make our day perfect! Gina is the best.
We had a few covid related bumps in the road and rescheduled our wedding TWICE. Gina has always been great to deal with about that and in planning meetings. We had our wedding Saturday and she was perfect. The music was great. She got in what we wanted and mixed the songs together. She was also periodically checking in with us and doing extra things, for example, she got us plates of appetizers so we wouldn't miss them and put them at our places. I really appreciate her attention to detail and I will use her for any DJ needs for myself or corporate events I have in the future. Gina, I appreciated you so much! Everyone else, hire this company, for sure!

Jason was so amazing! He truly worked with us to make sure each and every detail was covered. Jason worked so closely with us to make sure that he knew exactly how we wanted the day to go. From the songs at our ceremony to our first dance, he made sure we were completely comfortable and able to share how we wanted it to flow. I can’t say how great it was to have him at our wedding and that he made sure it was perfect! Our dance floor was full of people and lots of excited wedding attendees!

Amazing DJ
Jason was so much more than our DJ on our wedding day. He arrived early, helped wherever he could and was just an awesome person all around. The music was just what we wanted and he played all our requests and kept the night going. Our wedding day came with some obstacles due to weather, but he was quick on his feet with finding solutions. He made such a positive impact on our wedding day and our guests. The day of coordinator that we hired was unorganized and preoccupied, so he stepped in a really saved the day to keep things moving. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. He went above and beyond.

Jason was AWESOME! Apart from keeping the jams rolling all night and wearing a cool sport coat, he also made the entire timeline of the reception stress free. A MUST for your party!
Jason is the best. I forced my extroverted (then fiancé) to go talk to the DJ at our work Christmas party. We’re so glad we did!
Jason is so easy going and so wonderful to work with! He made COVID postponements simple. The dance floor was a party all night long. He went above and beyond. He popped our champagne for us, plated my food, made everything flow better than we could’ve imagined and continued to touch base with us throughout the night. He even tolerated all of my friends’ “requests from the bride” that definitely were not!haha
We are so happy to have worked with Jason and highly recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Gina Made Our Night!
Gina was wonderful to work with from start to finish! She never complained about our long playlist, odd requests, or somewhat obscure song selections. She also kept us organized throughout the evening, always letting us know when it was almost time to move on to the next item on the agenda. Amazing DJ!
I am beyond happy that we chose Gina and Crucial Entertainment for our wedding! Throughout the planning process, Gina would communicate through email, Zoom, and in-person meetings. She was organized and really listened to what we had to say. You can tell that Gina wants to make her clients happy. She is a true professional!
On the day of the wedding, Gina took our suggestions and music taste to heart. She played a great mix of music and kept everyone on the dance floor. Grandparents, young children, and even the most stubborn "non-dancers" were dancing all night. Many of our guests remarked to me and my husband how talented she was! Gina knows how to keep the party going!
Gina went above and beyond our wedding day too. She made sure my husband and I had eaten and had drinks at our table. She somehow struck a balance of keeping us on schedule while also making sure we had what we needed.

Our wedding planner Allyssa Elaine Events recommended Jason with Crucial Entertainment with absolutely glowing reviews. We had to hire him. From the beginning, Jason got to know us and really helped to make sure that our reception felt like "us". I have been to many weddings where the reception feels like it is dragging on, this was not the case with Jason! DJ G-Diddy was so great! She was very thorough and professional and made sure everything was perfect! She was very personable and helpful leading up to our wedding day. The day of our wedding had some hiccups, but she did everything she could to help out and make sure everything went smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
