Wedding Ceremony & Coctail Hour

Matt performed at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at the Hotel Del Coronado. He did an amazing job and it was the perfect touch to our wedding. He played a variety of music and I received many compliments from our guests!! Matt was super easy to work with and we couldn’t recommend him more!

Matt was amazing!

Matt was an amazing addition to our wedding! He played solo for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He was professional, prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful from start to finish. He sent over ideas for the song choices - and he even learned a new song so my husband could walk down the aisle to Blink 182! I’m so glad we hired him, I just wish I could have enjoyed more of his music, given we had to take some photos during cocktail hour, but my guests certainly enjoyed it!

The Crowning Experience of Our Wedding Was Crown Town Music

My wife (then-fiancée) recommended Crown Town Music, as she and Matt were schoolmates from Coronado. They provided us with a comprehensive list of songs they were familiar with, and I was thrilled to see it included so many timeless hits from the past few decades. This allowed me to curate a playlist of our preferred songs, which they then used as a baseline for their performance during our wedding reception.

On the day of the wedding, I was absolutely blown away by their sound – and so were all of our guests who packed the dance floor! Even my grandma, who I've never seen dance in her life, was out there having the time of her life. I truly don't think our reception would have been the same without Crown Town Music helping to make it the happiest day of our lives.

A perfect addition to the celebration

Matt played at a family wedding. His music was such a wonderful addition to the celebration . He honored the bride and grooms request and played exactly what they requested. It truly was a wonderful day !

Amazing musician for our cocktail hour

We have seen Matt play at several of his venues and love his vibe and music. Matt was on time, responsive to emails, and is a very talented musician. He did everything that we asked of him for our playlist. I highly recommend Matt.

A perfect day!

Matt was very professional. He helped make our reception a great one and played songs that flowed with each moment. we submitted a substantial list and he was able to incorporate our song request and played them all beautifully. Matt is an exceptional artist!

Matt went above and beyond to make our day special and unforgettable. He arranged guitar version of various music pieces, capturing perfectly the intimate and delicate atmosphere of our ceremony. He has a beautiful voice and a vast repertoire - great for cocktail hour! Matt is amazing!

Matt played solo instrumental guitar music for our ceremony and solo acoustic guitar with vocals during our cocktail hour. He was absolutely amazing. My husband and I and our guests loved every minute! He is so talented and we highly recommend him. He is flexible and was always quick to respond to any of our questions. He even learned a new song on his guitar for our ceremony. He is perfect for a wedding or any event as he has many skills and talents. We are so happy that he was able to play at our wedding. You will not be disappointed!

Everything we dreamed of!

Matt was AMAZING! He played for our wedding ceremony and wow all of our friends even couldn't stop raving about him. We got to choose 3 songs and Matt could learn to play them, he was so responsive, such an amazing artist, and truly added so much value to our wedding day. Best band. Ever.

Book them. Now! Crown Town played at our wedding a few months ago and they definitely made the night! Matt’s range is so impressive - they played acoustic music while people arrived, sang / played during the ceremony, the dances, cocktail, and then the band rocked the reception for hours! We opted to add a female for a ton more song options …do yourself a favor hire Crown Town and add Tanya McKenna – she definitely knows how to entertain! You will be SO glad you did!

Our friends and family – of all ages - raved about the band. We all danced for HOURS. Song after song was amazing, so much that you didn’t ever want to sit down. Don’t take it from us, here are some of the comments we received the next day: “I danced so long that my legs hurt!!”, “amazing people, perfect setting and best band ever!!” , “that band was phenomenally entertaining” (that was from the older generation :) ) “I haven’t seen so many people having so much fun in quite a while.” And, we are still getting compliments months later.

WOW - Matt made our wedding so special

Matt was incredible! I was a little on the fence about having live music vs. just a playlist as we had less than 20 people at our backyard wedding. Matt was well worth the investment! He was very professional and played wonderful music that pleased children to my in-laws. He arrived on time and even stayed a little later than planned. He even took requests on the spot! We had a very casual backyard wedding and it was so nice to have his voice and musical talents there. He also communicated very well and made me feel really comfortable having a musician (again, I felt silly having musician for small wedding, but he reassured me very common) Everyone commented on how great he was and they want to hire him for their events. You will not be disappointed in your investment with Matt and will be so happy you hired him! I want to have another event just so I can hire him again!

Absolutely Perfect: Incredible Music and Extremely Professional to Work With

Matt is incredible: His talent, his music and vocals, and his understanding of a wedding event all made our evening exactly what we had hoped for. The music was absolutely perfect. On the day of the event, members of our family kept telling me that his beautiful voice, musical talent, and ability to read the moment were spectacular. Matt is incredibly professional. Matt was responsive to my inquiry and all follow-up questions. He was on time, dressed to match the tone of the event, and was so nice to work with. He anticipated my questions and cared very much about getting it right. He was flexible on the event day, started earlier, and stayed later than we had initially thought we would need. His music and voice infused our event with love, beauty, and happiness. Matt really wanted it to be a beautiful day for our family. Can't recommend him enough. Would book him again in a heartbeat and am already recommending him to all my friends.

The best wedding band you could ask for!

Matt and Crown Town MADE our wedding. We had so many people after say they were the best band they had seen at a wedding. Matt was easy to communicate with and made the experience fun and enjoyable. He tailored the music and timeline to what we wanted and even let me sing a song with him. We would recommend Matt and Crown Town to anyone!

Made Our Day Great!

Matt went above and beyond to make our wedding ceremony and reception special.

He was incredibly responsive and flexible throughout the planning process. Despite changing venues and evolving timelines, Matt was the consummate professional. He also was helpful in ensuring we had the microphones needed for our officiant and for toasts at our reception.

Matt played beautiful music at our ceremony and then an awesome arrangement of songs at our reception. Our guests could not stop talking about Matt and his incredible voice and talent. From a beautiful first dance song to ending the night with an epic dance party, Matt made the night unforgettable.

I highly recommend Matt for any event and am thrilled he played our wedding!

Matt & Crown Town are Incredible!

Crown Town performed at our wedding reception in October and were absolutely wonderful! These gifted musicians sounded fantastic and really made the party super fun and special. Matt is simply the best. He's a pleasure to work with and tailored the set list perfectly to our tastes and preferences. Perfect guitarist for our wedding ceremony!!

We had a small wedding ceremony outdoors on Mission Bay and Matt was the perfect guitarist for our ceremony. He was easy to work with, responsive, and really friendly. He even learned a Prince song for our first dance which we did at the end of the ceremony. It was the absolute perfect rendition - everything we'd hoped for and more! Would definitely recommend Matt for wedding music!!

Look no further! Matt is the best! Talented, professional, easy to work with, and we were beyond happy with his music at our intimate Coronado beach wedding. Highest recommendation

Matt and his band were fantastic at the wedding and reception of my daughter and now son-in-law. Matt played solo acoustic guitar for the pre-ceremony, processional and cocktail hour: absolutely beautiful and perfect. The band played during dinner: very appropriate and nice. After dinner Matt worked seamlessly with our planner (Selina Rose) and lead the show announcing the entrance of the wedding party and introducing the newly married couple and moved right into their first dance. Matt kept it moving the whole evening alternating from dance songs to the next traditional event, such as father (me) and bride dance/groom and mother dance; bouquet/garter toss and so on.
Their song list is quite extensive and they played exceedingly well. As a band they were tight and professional. They were all friendly, personable and very accommodating.
Bottom line is Matt (and his band) not only played great music, he (together with our planner) directed the reception and had it move along smoothly and perfectly.
He gets my highest recommendation.

Everything about Matt and his band was amazing. We are so happy that we chose to have them for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Amazing wedding evening!

Matt and his band made our wedding incredibly fun, unique, and so simple to organize. When I initially asked him about playing our wedding, I was between hiring a DJ and a live band. After listening to some of his samples and hearing his thoughts and options on how we could book him, I immediately knew he was the right choice. I couldn't be happier with the decision. He laid out different options and prices depending on how many people would play and during which portions (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, etc.), and was prompt and helpful in every response. Our wedding was on a Navy base and he and his band filled out all the (somewhat extensive) paperwork without complaint or delay. MOST IMORTANTLY, the music was absolutely amazing. He played all of the songs that we asked him to and many, many more. They truly played a fantastic set. The music is by far what we have received the most compliments and questions on about our wedding, and I have been happy to recommend him. I will definitely be booking Matt again for the next event I have, big or small.

Great Experience with Crown Town Music

A great success

Matt is a great musician and individual. We were fortunate to have Matt perform at our daughters rehearsal dinner outdoor party. We had 150 guests and Matt was great. Wedding in Coronado

We saw Matt when he was singing at Maretalia happy hour. We knew we had to have him sing at our cocktail hour , at our wedding. He played our favorites and many guests commented how good he was.

Groom. I hired him

Matt is a phenomenal musician, learning specific songs that my wife requested. he performed those arrangements for her to walk down the isle. He sounded great. During the cocktail hour, people loved him so much that our guests were going up and asking for his card. He sounded great! We loved him.

There's simply not enough words to express our gratitude to Matt. His excellent service and beautiful voice out shined all of our expectations at our daughter and son in laws wedding at Hotel Del in San Diego. He has the most beautiful voice. Very professional. Matt was amazing at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour! He set up sound with ease and played the most amazing music. We were a bit difficult with some nontraditional music choices for the ceremony but Matt learned them with ease and absolutely nailed it! Not a dry eye! During the cocktail hour, Matt provided the perfect ambiance. I would absolutely recommend Matt to anyone getting married in San Diego!

It was a joy to have Matt play at our wedding at the Park Hyatt Aviara! He played music during the ceremony, during our cocktail hour and a little during our dinner. He is a wonderful guitar player and singer! He also helped MC during the dinner to welcome in the bridal party and bride and groom. He helped to lead into the music playlist during dinner and made everything so smooth in transition. Leading up to the wedding, Matt and I jumped on a phone call and he helped ease my mind on the music choices! He helped to make our day so special!

Having Matt play guitar during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour was one of the best vendor decisions we made. He was totally flexible with the specific songs and type of music we requested, while also providing recommendations and suggestions based on his experience playing at other weddings. So many guests commented afterwards how great the live entertainment was and Matt worked seamlessly with our DJ who provided additional entertainment and equipment.

This service was very reasonably priced overall, particularly when we decided later on in the process to add an extra half hour as we actually needed an hour and a half for cocktail hour while the ceremony/dinner area got flipped. Thank you so much, Matt!!

Matt is incredible! He played music at our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and cocktail hour. Many of our guests remarked how talented he is both vocally and playing guitar. He did both singing and instrumentals depending on our need. Matt has a wide breadth of knowledge of songs and catered to our desire to play a specific song for the ceremony recessional, which he was able to learn and play beautifully with just 2-3 weeks notice. Matt was professional from planning to execution and afterwards, and I am so happy we had him at our important events. I very highly recommend Matt.

Matt played our entire wedding last month, and he was absolutely fantastic. His singing, playing style, and song selection were exactly what we were looking for our outdoor, rooftop wedding. From the wedding entrances to dinner, grand entrance, and partying later in the evening, it was all amazing and he picked the perfect songs for each part. We had so many people comment about how great he was and asking where we found him. Matt was extremely easy to work with and just knew what we wanted. We would hire him again in a heartbeat for any occasion and definitely recommend him to anyone looking for live music!

We had the best experience with Matt! He played the guitar at our ceremony this past Saturday, and it sounded amazing. I contacted him within a month before our wedding- sorry! and he was so easy-going and flexible with our requests. He even learned two different songs at my request- and they turned out beautiful. He added so much elegance to our ceremony.

Matt rocks! We saw him play an incredible set at the Concert in the Park and knew he would be perfect for our wedding. His playing is incredibly versatile between electric and acoustic and his singing is fantastic. I've played guitar for several decades and I was blown away at how insanely good and talented this man is. You'd be crazy not to hire him.

Matt was an excellent addition to our daughter's wedding reception program and filled a really important piece of the pre-reception cocktail hour. Matt is a truly incredible artist, and was easily the most talked about part of our wedding (and we even had whales show up!). We had guests offering to pay to have him play the entire night. If you want your guests to have a blast at your wedding or private event, he is the one to choose. He even offered to learn our wedding song so we could have it played acoustically! Thank you Matt for making our wedding even more memorable.

Matt was fantastic in arranging the band. He even did an hour acoustical set during cocktailsand then joined his big band. He did all the production soundboard and lights. We asked for a girl singer and we HIGHLY recommend her. His background music during dinner was spot on as we could converse and then he really ramped it up for dancing. All ages loved the music and it was so professional and polished.. Worth every penny we spent and he was very mindful we were a non profit so purposely gave us a discount.

I heard Matt playing solo while on a site inspection for my company's Spring Conference in San Diego. He was fantastic solo, so I grabbed his card and inquired about a full band for our event. We booked Crown Town Music for a corporate dinner at the Hotel Del Coronado. The crowd loved it! Matt informed me ahead of time that he would vibe off the audience and try to get people to dance. Sure enough, by the end of the night people were out of their seats and dancing. Guests at the Hotel Del Coronado even tried to sneak into our event to see the band. Once the dinner concluded, I received high praise for booking them. I highly recommend Crown Town Music! Matt did such a great job at selecting the music for our audience. He was very professional and the pre/post communication was seamless.

Matt made our beautiful backyard wedding awesome! ALL our guests were commenting on how great his music is. It was such a delight working with him. The process was seamless. He's such a nice guy, he can play whatever you want, guests can make requests, etc. His pricing is very fair. He blocks his whole night for your even incase you want to add on time. I would love to hire him again down the road for birthdays or parties etc. We went to see him in Coronado before we hired him and we knew within 5 minutes of hearing him he was exactly what we were looking for. Book him for your wedding you will not regret it. !!

Matt (CrownTown Music) was an absolute joy to work with! We hired him to play fingerstyle guitar for our wedding ceremony on the beach, and it was everything we wished for. He was very professional, responsive, and helpful in guiding us in our song selection for the ceremony. On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly without a hitch, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. He was also flexible in being able to entertain specific song requests for us. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a solo guitarist/vocalist for an event!

My wife and I couldn't have been happier with Matt and his band on our wedding day! He was very professional leading up to our wedding, listened to what exactly we wanted to hear, communicated with us each week leading up to our day to make sure there was anything we needed and to confirm the type of music he was going to play. The acoustic guitar at the ceremony was a perfect backdrop to our outside ceremony. The sound was great and very peaceful sounds. The happy hour music was great and he hit a home run with the reception! His music got everyone on the dance floor from the beginning of the night all the way until the end. People couldn't express more joy when talking about our wedding how well the music fit us and our night!
I would recommend Matt and his band to anyone for ANY event, small or large, he was the best!

Matt was absolutely amazing I can't tell you how many times I was asked "Where did you find this guy? He is amazing". A few days later I ran into some neighbors and they said they just sat outside and listened to him play because it was so good. Matt is truly a professional musician in every sense of the word. He provided the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour music for my daughter's wedding. He did an outstanding job performing on the beach during the ceremony and entertaining the guests during the cocktail hour with his beautiful vocals and guitar playing. San Diego has a lot of talented musicians, and through our professional work and family connections we've had the pleasure to work with and attend events featuring many of them.... but when it came time for our wedding we had just one name on our list, Matt Heinecke! Matt was a pleasure to work with! He played acoustic guitar for our wedding ceremony, then played and sang during cocktail hour as well. He was professional, attentive, and very prompt with his communication. He had no problem playing our special requests, some I'm sure he had to learn just for the occasion. As I told him, my only complaint is that my husband and I couldn't make it to cocktail hour to hear him play more!!! We got married in Temecula, and he had no problem commuting. We will definitely be seeking him in out SD to see him perform sometime!

Matt played acoustical guitar for my daughters wedding ceremony and during cocktail hour at the reception. He is a pleasure to work with and a fine musician. I would definitely use him again and recommend him highly. He is very professional, provided a list of songs for the Bride to select from (which you can listen to on his website), and he took the time to meet us at the wedding site in Balboa Park several weeks before the wedding to discuss the set up, etc. If you have a particular song you want played, he will do his best to arrange it and play it for you. Aside from all this, he is a really nice guy.

First of all, Matt is very easy to work with and I appreciate his prompt responses. He came highly recommended by our coordinator and that's always a good sign. I requested that he accompanied my sister to play for my march in and I couldn't be happier. My mum loved the music and she was asking why we didn't have him play longer. His rates are very reasonable as well.

I highly recommend Matt at Crown Town Music for your next special event! Matt was able to play a broad genre of musical requests from many of our guests at my husband's surprise 50th birthday party. Matt was amazing and helped make our day extra special! Having a guitarist at the ceremony really sets a nice tone for the day! He played "somewhere over the rainbow" for the bridesmaids "a thousand years" for the bride and several other songs during the guest seating, our sand ceremony and the recessional! Put simply: Matt made our wedding. He is one of the most thoughtful and kind guys I've met and my husband and I are so thankful we found him to be part of our wedding. His passion for music shines through in everything he does -- he's a true perfectionist and professional. I really enjoyed our conversations with Matt throughout the process. He's a total "yes" man and also has cool creative ideas. He strikes this perfect balance between being extremely professional and laid back. We entrusted a lot of our event to him: our ceremony music, our cocktail hour music, MC'ing and then a raging on-stage performance with a 3 piece band. Post-wedding we've heard from so many people how impressed they were with Matt and how the music made our event. He was easily the hardest working vendor at our wedding and did it all with a smile. The highlight? An insane rendition of purple rain to close the night that would make Prince proud :). In short? Hire Matt. You'll please everyone from your hardest rocking party friend to your Grandma. He made people dance who said they hadn't danced in 20 years. THANK YOU MATT!
