    Great Team to Work With

    The staff at the Croft could not have been better to work with. They took our ideas and made them better than we imagined- I was stunned at how beautiful the reception room looked. The Chapel area was equally amazing. Our guests had a great time and we had a ton of compliments! The entire day went seamlessly due to the hard work of the Croft staff- I can not recommend them enough.

    The Croft Downtown - AKA your angel wedding team

    There are many wedding venues in the Phoenix/Scottsdale Area, but absolutely nothing will ever compare to The Croft Downtown.

    1st of all, I'm a bride who had a very specific & very different vision from what many brides want currently. I wanted something different, unique, and wanted all of my guests to say "holy crap" the moment they walked in, and to say The Croft delivered is probably the understatement of the century.
    The Croft continued to support & encourage my vision & dream from day one. They not only helped to make our vision a reality, but made it the most fun, stress free & enjoyable process EVER. And the vision we had they not only brought to life, but made it better than i ever could have imagined.

    Angela & the Staff at The Croft are a staff brides dream of. They are incredibly kind, caring, supportive, and possibly mind readers. They predicted our every question & every need. They coordinated with all our vendors to make our night seamless. It is rare to say this, but not a SINGLE thing went wrong on our wedding day. When the bustle on my dress was caught, members of their staff rushed to help me, relieve my stress, and get me back on the dance floor. Actual angels.

    We also had a crowd with very mixed ages and they made our entire wedding ceremony and reception perfect for all of our guests. I cannot even begin to explain how many guests made comments about how absolutely incredible the venue and entire staff was.

    They helped to provide recommend vendors for food & video who also were spot on for our vision and a dream to work with. The made sure not only myself & my husband were supported, but also our families and wedding party throughout the entire process.

    I was a bride who stresses about the little things and small details going wrong, and i had absolutely no reason to worry. The Croft Downtown is a well oiled machine and had i gone anywhere else, i would've been massively disappointed.

    If you are considering this venue in the slightest, stop looking. Book The Croft and hand over the reigns because they CAN and WILL make all your dreams come true. I've truly never been more impressed in my entire life from an event staff and could not say more incredible things about them. Theyre actual angels and rockstars and made our special day more than we EVER could have dreamed of.

    The Croft was the perfect venue for what we wanted our wedding to be! Every segment of the wedding had its own unique feel while still staying at one location - ceremony in The Abbey, cocktail hour outside on the Garden Patio, and then reception fun in The Cheshire Room. Everything looked amazing. Mark, Angela, and the entire Angelic Grove team were all great to work with and they set up an incredible scene on our wedding day. We highly recommend The Croft!

    Last Sept my husband & I had the most incredible destination wedding here at The Croft. We both live in Michigan, are from Chicago, but have a lot of family in AZ so we figured why not getting married in PHX? When we were looking for venues the very first place we stopped at was The Croft. We fell in love, but everyone kept telling us not to get excited over the first place we saw. We then visited a few other places, but at the end of the day we couldn't stop thinking about The Croft so we booked our wedding! Living 2000 miles away from The Croft really wasn't the biggest deal it all. They really made it easy to work with.

    The reason why I personally love The Croft the most is because it's a "simple warehouse" so to speak, that can made its to the most spectacular place. A big dislike of mine is banquet halls. They all seem to have the most hideous carpet that make it almost impossible to match with your wedding colors. The Croft can transform their rooms into just about anything you could imagine and it's exactly what they did for me. I truly have never had so many compliments in my life. People are still talking about our wedding. The thing EVERYONE keeps saying is "attention to detail".

    Every bride has their thing. Some care about dress more than others. Some care about photographer more than others. It all varies. For me personally? I cared about venue more than anything! I didn't want to have it at any old place. I wanted everything around me to be special and memorable. And it was! My wedding was so perfect. Angela & Mark truly know what they are doing. They are artists in weddings.Angela is so calm and so sweet. She is exactly who you need by your side on your wedding day. I NEVER in a million years thought I would panic on my wedding day...and I did. But I'll never be able to forget Angela's sweet smile and calm demeanor.

    We are just so pleased with our choice to have our event at The Croft. I obviously highly recommend it EVERYONE!! =)

    Honestly, what can I say (or not say) about THE AMAZING Croft??? After finding out two months before our wedding our (original) venue is no longer able to host our wedding, this bride went into complete panic mode (I had a meltdown). FORTUNATELY, The Croft had our original wedding date open. Never did I feel like a bargained bride. The Croft treated us with the same attention and support as I can imagine they provide to brides who give them more than 2 months notice for a wedding :) Angela, Mark and team supported and facilitated the wedding of our dreams. They welcomed personal ideas, original decor, worked with our existing vendors and our budget. They are some of the MOST professional vendors I have ever worked with and enjoyed all of our meetings and communications. If you are looking for an industrial space with breathtaking chandeliers and a deceivingly unique interior, please consider The Croft. You will not be disappointed! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I have dreamed my whole life for a magically- romantic, fairy tale of a wedding and it would not have been possible without The Croft. Here's to many more Happily Ever Afters!!! Xo The Greig's!!!!

    People often say it, but we really had the wwdding of the century thanks in part to Angela and Mark at the Croft. The venue was magical and the flowers were stunning. The blank canvas of the warehouse space was transformed into a wonderland. Our guests are still talking about it a month later. Business practices are a little unconventional but the end product was spectacular. Understand that EVERYTHING is a charge and those charges add up quickly. Mark and Angela always seemed excited to see us and provided us a day hundreds will never forget !!

    Ruined my wedding

    My husband and I decided to have our wedding in August due to his brother being in the military. We had to choose a venue that was indoors and I loved the blank canvas idea the Croft had to offer.

    First off before I leave this review, Tristan who works for Angela (angelic grove) is amazing and I have nothing but positive thoughts about her.

    When my mother in law walked the venue in May, she asked about the air conditioning and we were assured everything we would okay and running smoothly.

    The day of the wedding we arrive and there is a leak in the ceiling and it was somewhat warm in the reception room. When my mother in law asked why it was so hot, they said they would look into turning it down.

    They brought a ladder into the middle of my reception to see what was wrong and even had the balls to ask my now husband (who works in HVAC) to look and see what’s wrong. They kept letting me know that the hvac company would be on their way (took 3 of the 5 hour rental for someone to show up) They were unable to fix it but how Angela unprofessionally responded put the cherry on top of it all.

    My family was told we would get refunded the venue rental which for a company who does 10k weddings every weekend shouldn’t be a big deal (we were seeking 4K back). We consistently called and we were completely ignored and given excuses.

    For a company to talk about how invested they are in a couple’s most important day of their lives and then to handle the situation like this shows that Angela is only in this business for cash.

    She ruined my wedding day and even better she didn’t even have the guts to call me personally and apologize for the situation. Disgusted and will never recommend this place to anyone. Beautiful venue but shitty owners

    I want to begin by saying thank you for taking the time to review The Croft Downtown. We understand that you have been waiting for several months before reviewing our venue to allow for some time to pass and monitor how the situation develops. We appreciate you taking your time to write about your experience with us.

    We would like to acknowledge and apologize sincerely for how your wedding day transpired. We were so delighted when you decided to book with us here, at The Croft Downtown and we thoroughly enjoyed working with you, your family and Conner to plan your wedding. I hope you can agree, despite everything, Angelic Grove made the venue look beautiful and we really tried to accomplish your dream wedding vision.

    In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we had ensured that the air conditioning units throughout the venue had been tested. The week prior to your wedding, we additionally had an HVAC maintenance guy perform a thorough check on all the systems in the venue. We were assured by the HVAC guy that nothing would go wrong and the units would run smoothly, keeping the building cool in its entirety, without facing any issues. On the actual day of your wedding, unfortunately, an APS power line that was circuiting power to 4 of the air conditioning blew. This resulted in only 2 of our air conditioning units receiving power which was not enough to keep the venue at a comfortable level. Because not all of the lines went down it was impossible for us to detect what had happened and resolve the issue straight away. We are so sorry that this happened.

    We did try everything we could which included moving a ladder into the reception room to reset the air conditioners. I can assure you this was our absolute last resort and we disputed over doing so for a long while. When the time was continuing to pass without any positive development, we felt, at the time, that if moving the ladder into the reception room would lead to solving the issue, then the decision to use the ladder mid-reception wouldn't be deemed as so unacceptable. We immediately called an HVAC company and a member of their staff eventually arrived to assist, however they were also unable to gain any success. Please be assured we did everything within our means to try and resolve this issue and had we known it was a problem with APS we would have called their helpline imminently. We transported two large portable AC units and an industrial fan that we retrieved from our warehouses to try and combat the issue but it wasn't until an electrician arrived in the days following your wedding, who was able to identify that the APS's power line on the outside of the building had blown. This was an external issue that we were not able to immediately fix despite having called 6 different companies for help and going above and beyond our means of amendment.

    Following your wedding day, we were advised as a whole team to no longer be in contact with you until the lawyers were able to seek the warranted compensation from APS. Unfortunately, they are yet to come to a resolution despite many hours of working on this issue. We are so sorry that this is the way the situation developed as we were all forced to follow the lawyer's protocol. We have always prided ourselves on our customer service and satisfaction and this is certainly not how we wanted things to escalate. It is not in our nature to upset people and this was never our intention.

    Erica and Conner, we are so sorry that this happened on your wedding day. We know this day is irreplaceable and you can not recreate or relive it. Again, we are truly sorry for the issues that occurred on your special day and we wish you the very best in your married life.
