Outstanding Wedding Planning Experience with Crimson Quarter
We had the pleasure of working with Crimson Quarter for our wedding in New Orleans, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, our experience with Brandon, Adam, and Mary was nothing short of exceptional.
Their professionalism, timely communication, and accommodating nature made the planning process seamless. They guided us in selecting the perfect venue and connected us with top-notch vendors for decorations, wedding cakes, and hotel coordination. Their deep knowledge of New Orleans was invaluable, especially since we had guests traveling from around the world.

Month of day of coordinating services
Thanks to Brandon and Adam our special day went so smoothly and perfectly. They were able to quickly correct anything that went wrong and had everything done in a timely manner, not to mention how beautiful everything came out. Brandon had experience and knowledge of our special hand fasting ceremony that was useful to us and they even threw in some of their personal decor supplies to pull everything together. Crimson Quarter will always be remembered as a big part of the most important weekend of our lives.

great experience, great price!
We hired crimson quarter to plan our wedding and reception. We lived in California, so communication and organization from our wedding team was super important. And thankfully, Brandon and Adam delivered consistently for the nearly 10 months planning journey. They were creative, had the ability to think outside the box, and offered great suggestions that enhanced or built upon our vision and theme. They even scheduled team calls to accommodate our time zone and schedule---which was VERY late in CST.

Great and Caring Officiant
Amazing officiant. Brandon was so wonderful to work with! From day 1, Crimson Quarter took the time to get to know my fiancé and I, and our love story. Which was then incorporated into a BEAUTIFUL ceremony. He had our entire wedding party in tears---there wasn't a dry eye in the building. Thanks for creating such an amazing wedding for us! -

Gotta give it time!
We were a bit apprehensive at first. Being the type A personality that's highly organized and not very flexible, the guys came across as unorganized and a bit sloppy. Anxious would be a word I would use in the early weeks of our relationship. Over time, they got to know us better and adapted to our preferences, making communications and planning easier. Their ability to craft --not just a singular day--but multiple events that brilliantly come together in a way that leave guests fully enveloped in a bona fide New Orleans experience. Unique. One-of-a-kind. Memorable. Their commitment to our wedding being a success was obvious from day 1 and we appreciate that we weren't just another pay check. -

A magical evening ! Thanks Crimson Quarter!
My ex husband and I hosted our son’s wedding in New Orleans- ( we are dear friends) strange but true. He is a retired physician with extremely high expectations-so trust me when I say Crimson Quarter exceeded his expectations. In addition to officiating ,planning, coordinating, decorating and many other services ( photography, thanks Adam! ) owner Brandon and crew went above and beyond for our family -
They arrived early, stayed late and took care of additional unexpected guests, cancellations from some guests, getting wheelchairs for the almost 90 yr old grandmother, even assisting with finding a missing vehicle in a parking garage.
Brandon, Adam and Mary were accommodating, professional, while creating a fairy tale wedding for our son. They even planned and organized a 2nd line parade for the wedding !
It was amazing !

We are planning a 90th birthday party in Feb 2025 for our grandmother and we will be using Crimson Quarter for the planning of this party! -

Pre-wedding heroes
Today is Oct 2,2024 . Crimson Quarter is planning, coordinating, decorating, officiating, photography, just everything for my son’s wedding this Saturday.. my ex husband is a retired physician, type A kinda guy, not easy to please. Brandon and his partners have been true rock stars, especially this week. Multiple changes w guests numbers both for rehearsal and wedding international flights, people coming from different countries, people needing wheelchairs last minute just scratches the surface of this week so far. Oh, The groom didn’t like the printing of some napkins, so two day notice it’s taken care of. Brandon, Adam, and Mary have come through 110% with every single change, every frustrating moment, so I had to write a pre-wedding review! Thanks guys love y’all.. See you Saturday.! Five Year Renewal
We recently celebrated our 5-year vow renewal in New Orleans, and we couldn’t have done it without the exceptional service of Brandon, our event coordinator, and Adam, our photographer, from Crimson Quarter. From the very beginning, Brandon went above and beyond to ensure every detail was meticulously planned. His expertise covered everything from the venue, food, and decor to the ceremony itself. He even arranged a surprise second line for my husband, adding a magical touch to our special day.
Despite encountering a few bumps along the road due to mother nature, Brandon handled each one with professionalism and grace. His ability to offer amazing prices that fit any budget without compromising on quality is truly commendable. Professional is an understatement when describing his work ethic. After numerous Zoom meetings and countless texts, he proved to be incredibly supportive and attentive.
Upon our arrival in New Orleans, Brandon’s hospitality extended beyond his official duties. He recommended the best places to eat, drink, and hang out, making our stay even more enjoyable. He even arranged transportation for us at times, which was beyond his job description.
Adam, our photographer, captured every precious moment with such creativity and skill. The photos from our vow renewal will be absolutely stunning and will be cherished forever.
In hiring an event coordinator, we gained friends who have become like family. We highly recommend Brandon, Adam, and the entire Crimson Quarter team for all your event needs. Their dedication, professionalism, and personal touch made our celebration unforgettable. -

75th birthday pajama party
In December, 2023 I decided to have a 75th birthday party. I hired Crimson Weddings and Events for my 75th birthday celebration. From the very first consultation they were all in. They demonstrated a good understanding of my vision and brought it to life with their creativity. Throughout the planning process Crimson Quarter Wedding and Events met on zoom every Monday from January thru June. They were so easy to work with.
I rented a beautiful mansion in New Orleans. The planning process was easy with our meetings. I was having a pajama party and the house itself was beautiful. It did not need much improvement. It was a two and a half day party with the main dinner and party on Saturday evening. Brandon, Adam and Mary were on the scene the whole time. The main dinner table was absolutely beautiful.
During the event most everything ran smoothly. They even prepared a delicious breakfast for us one of the mornings . It was absolutely delectable.
Hiring Crimson Quarter Weddings and Events was a good decision I made for my party. Their personalities were friendly and real. It wasn't just another job, I would hire them again.

Brandon is the Best!
My wife and I had our symbolic ceremony on 06 June 2024 at the pharmacy museum and Brandon was our officiant. He was excellent, super communicative and really helpful not only as our officiant (his husband came too and took photos of us and held the phone so more of our family could watch on FaceTime) but also as a local guide for us who had never been to NOLA before. He is very friendly and the script he writes for you really is one of a kind my wife and I both cried when we read what he’d written and the custom poem he provided. Overall he was professional, friendly, and highly communicative. We could not have asked for a better officiant! Choose Brandon! -

Great experience and great rates!
Brandon and the Crimson Quarter team were a great find for our wedding planning, officiating, and execution.
We planned a small ceremony of 45 guests; however, we were planning from Texas so it was nice to have someone local to check-in with our other vendors in our place. Brandon and Adam were flexible with our work schedules and made time to check in with us often, so everyone was on the same page. Once we presented the team with our wedding ideas, they were able to implement our vision flawlessly.
We are so grateful that we could relax and enjoy our wedding day; letting go and trusting the team to take care of us! The Crimson Quarter team helped us set up decorations, coordinate vendors during event, kept to our schedule, and took care of packing our items after the send off.
We highly recommend this team to those who are looking for a great price on multiple services. They made sure to look after us, which made our wedding more memorable because we were able to be present for it.

Micro wedding officiant
Brandon advised us well on our micro wedding in NOLA. He was very knowledgeable of the marriage licensing process and has plenty of ideas to offer for our ceremony. Outstanding Service and Excellent Value
Brandon Thorn and Adam at Crimson Quarter Weddings went above and beyond to make our wedding day seamless! One of the things that I loved right away about Brandon when I first spoke with him was his authenticity, friendliness and sense of humor. I knew immediately that he was a genuine person who really cared about getting to know me and my fiancé. As a result, we became friends pretty quickly and got to know a lot about each other beyond wedding planning-related tasks. I so appreciated this because it meant that I felt like I had an ally to help me navigate the wedding planning process. Brandon will truly support you and go to bat for you if there is a communication issue or conflict of interest with another vendor or venue. I learned as a bride that it is really important to have someone like Brandon who is there 100% looking out for your best interests. I also appreciated that while I hired Brandon as my Day-of-Coordinator, he did way more than just day-of coordinating duties, including attending meetings with my venue several months in advance. He also always answered my texts and emails quickly and communicated with me frequently. This made me feel secure knowing that Brandon really cared about me! On the day of the event, we had to move our ceremony inside due to rain, and Brandon and Adam worked hard to still ensure that the décor and other elements for the ceremony were still set up to look beautiful inside. They also worked with the venue to make some changes to the furniture layout in order to still ensure that the space was set up to make us and our guests have the best experience possible. They also did an outstanding job taking down the décor and cleaning up so that my new husband and I could enjoy our second line and afterparty without having to worry about going back to the venue to clean up. When we returned to our hotel room much later that night, all of our items, including personal items that we had left in the venue space, were all returned to us and neatly stored in our room. We really felt taken care of the entire time. On top of all of this, I really felt like the fee we paid Brandon was an excellent value for the service that we received. I compared Brandon's pricing to other Day-of Coordinators in the New Orleans area, and I can say with certainty that his prices are better that most of the competition, especially for the level of service that you will receive! I would 100% recommend Crimson Quarter Weddings to any bride, groom or individual wishing to host a party/event in the New Orleans or broader Louisiana and Mississippi area! -

Saved our wedding day!
Brandon saved our wedding day!!! The officiant that we were going to have flaked out THE MORNING OF OUR CEREMONY. Brandon came to the rescue (as well our house!!! 😂).
His words were lovely and had me in happy tears the entire time. I can’t say enough about how lovely this man and his assistant were.

Run Him For Mayor!
CQ was our one stop shop for our wedding. They handled the officiating, decorations, design, planning---all of it!
If the wedding industry didn't desperately need Brandon and Adam's fresh approach to weddings, I would strongly suggest he run for Mayor of New Orleans. He's that charismatic and outgoing. Not to mention his magical ability to stretch a dollar. We could use that at City Hall in CBD.
As many other reviews have already stated on other sites, Brandon and Adam far exceeded our expectations for a few thousand dollars. They were organized and proactive, and I was never left wondering if my miles long to do list was being tackled. He kept us informed throughout the planning process. To top it all off, after the wedding all of my friends were super jealous! -

Crimson Weddings
Brandon Thorn was SO understanding what we wanted! I have no complaints! Our budget wasn’t much but he made it MAGICAL! My wife and our Family was absolutely thrilled. Thank YOU so much Brandon! You gave us everything we asked for and more, you made our day UNFORGETTABLE!!!!!!! -

Above and beyond expectations!
Hiring Brandon and Adam was easily the best decision we made for our wedding! They were proactive, thoughtful, and really helped give our wedding the new orleans feel we wanted. 10/10 HIRE THEM -

Excellent Day of Coordinator
I'm so happy I went with Crimson. Brandon and Adam were my absolute ride or dies. I hired them for day of coordination. I'm very Type A, so I had everything planned out, but they were lovely to regularly check in with and spit ideas off of and helped to refine my vision. I did all my planning out of state and sight unseen, so I was definitely nervous to arrive and see all my vendors and decor when I arrived, but Adam and Brandon really picked up the ball and ran with it once I arrived to NOLA. They were so helpful the day before to help run last minute errands and we luckily got into the venue early to set everything up. My friend was officiating, so they helped with the timing of the ceremony and everything. The day of they did an AMAZING job in finishing all the decorating and helping to flip the space from ceremony to reception. Even before the wedding, they picked us all up breakfast and coffee which was so sweet. I was honestly so at ease the day of the wedding because they anticipated every need. After everything, I can definitely say these guys are friends and I'm so happy we went with them because they really went above and beyond to help execute the most wonderful and stress free day. -

Amazing company!
Brandon and Adam are amazing. They are hardworking and dedicated to their clients. They were a huge help during my wedding and made it the least stressful as possible. -

Needs Improvement
We were very excited to work with Brandon and Adam and the CQ team. We hired them for Day-of/ Month of Coordinator Services. I have wedding planning experience, and our venue required a Day-Of coordinator that was not part of our wedding. They seemed to understand our vision and priorities and care, but as our date approached, I had concerns. Communication, even within their team of 3 seemed difficult. Contracts and details we sent were not shared among them. My daughter, the bride was being asked, and messaged, at work repeatedly for things we had already sent. In the last month, as both the bride and I were working up until the day we traveled for this destination wedding, we asked them to make contact with some of our vendors. This seemed too big a task. When it didn't happen, I sent emails, on my breaks. I asked Brandon and his team to send me CC copies of his team's attempts to contact the last vendors we needed to talk to, and this never happened.
The day of the wedding came, and most things went well. I asked Brandon to please manage the timeline and flow. He confirmed that he would. This is what we were paying for. I was not only the mother of the bride, but in the wedding party. He said yes, but... even the seating was not handled. We only had 2 reserved seats (and about 50 guests total). He and Adam both knew from rehearsal who they were for. They brought the signs. Yet when guests asked for clarification, my coordinators couldn't even tell my husband if the "whole row was reserved or not" so someone had to pull me from the bridal suite. I had to tell Brandon to tell the DJ to announce for Cocktails, right after our timeline talk (leaving photos). I had to leave dinner to tell the DJ to cut music for toasts, even though the bride told me she had just told Brandon that they were ready. These are things that I don't understand. A timeline is not always perfect, but a coordinator stays close, in contact, and runs the show so we should not have to. I believe that this team had good intentions going into our event, but I did feel let down by these reoccurring moments of failure to coordinate and run the show.
We had a Second Line parade off site. Prior to the event we had a couple of Zoom meetings where we talked about one of them going with us and one staying for the venue flip. I was surprised to see them both at the parade. While Brandon did help facilitate the late pedicab substitute. The lack of coordinator on site for the flip resulted in the sign in "book" which was a custom-made album, and a surprise gift from the bride to the groom being moved and damaged. It felt like they were making sure to get pictures for themselves, but that is my feeling, and what the priority seemed to be; I cannot state it as fact.
In all we were still having a mostly lovely time until... at the end of the evening, we had special permission from our venue for a splash of an exit. The DJ had the Best Man and Man of Honor join in. Adam, believed that we did not have permission for this. He berated and publicly humiliated my son, who personally invested so much time and love into the wedding and told him that he "Ruined his sister's wedding and broke" our "contract" with the venue. When first asked to apologize, his response was, "Whatever!" and he stormed off. He yelled at the Best man as well. I took him aside and told him that if he had a concern, he should talk to me, as it was my contract with the venue, which he had clearly not read, or he would know that we were not in violation of anything. He also needs to understand that he should speak to the host of the event if he has a concern and never verbally assault a family member or guest. To make this all even worse... we had in part selected Brandon and Adam specifically because they are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and we not only want to support that community, but we have family within the community. We had multiple conversations with them about my Transgender son, the Man of Honor, and the use of proper pronouns and being respectful and supportive. They seemed so supportive in our conversations prior to the event. Both the bride and I talked about this with them, yet especially when Adam got upset and lost it and then after, both he and Brandon misgendered my son multiple times. My son did not have top surgery going into this wedding, being worried he would not be fully recovered. As such, he could not bind for the full event and found it more comfortable to switch outfits. We even took time to explain to the team that this would be the case, and that they were still to use "he/him" pronouns and my son, who poured so much love and effort into this wedding for his twin, was publicly humiliated at the end of it, told by Adam that he ruined it and then misgendered by both of them multiple times. He was broken. The bride and groom and others all affected and none of this was needed and was all caused by Adam.
I could have looked over the lack of coordination and efficiency. I believe that there were good intentions from the start with Brandon especially. But to have now, so many people emotionally devasted by chaos and hurt caused by your coordinator does not feel acceptable. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community does not mean that one has the capacity to create a safe space for all members of that community. I believe that this is a teachable moment for them, and I hope they will educate themselves on how misgendering affects those in the transgender community. Do not tell clients you can deliver on that very important safe space if you cannot 100%. It matters too much, and you both have continued to misgender my son since that night showing your ignorance and lack of accountability with this important matter. Please grow in this area first, then read contracts, treat guests with respect and never berate them, and manage the event. We wish you the best in growth going forward. -

Disappointment
Brandon and Adam, to be very generous, overpromised and underdelivered. I could go on and on about the things that they messed up throughout our wedding weekend, but I don’t want to bore anyone with details. I just want other couples, especially LGBTQ couples, to make an informed decision about who they are hiring for their wedding. Many of our frustrations are reflected in other lower star reviews, some of which have suspiciously disappeared since we originally saw them.
Major frustrations include:
A lack of professionalism so apparent that multiple vendors asked “Where did you find those guys?”
Poor communication with guests and vendors, sharing false information, and leading to confusion
Referring to the bride and groom’s sides during our rehearsal (in addition to doing absolutely no prep work for the rehearsal)
Disorganization leading to timing being pushed, leaving less time for later elements of the reception
Offering things outside of the contract that we would have done, but didn’t because they said they’d take care of them, only to learn later that they messed them up
Using the room we had our sweetheart dinner in as storage, coming in and out while we were eating, stressing about set up things that should have already happened, and complaining about each other and disparaging marriage
Continuously finding my wife and I and taking us away from friends and family to ask us questions we’d already answered
Overall, hiring Brandon and Adam added to our stress levels throughout our wedding weekend, when the whole reason we hired coordinators was to reduce our stress. We spent so much time and energy planning our wedding and the details, so it was beyond disappointing to see such little care taken by our coordinators. We didn’t expect things to go perfectly, but we were so disappointed by how many things went poorly despite our planning and foresight. We would have been better off hiring no one.
