Sentimental and Touching

If you have Virginia as your elopement officiant, you are guaranteed to have the most special occasion ever. I initially had no idea how I wanted the ceremony to be structured and she walked me through the entire process and gave me examples and details of how my now husband and I might like our ceremony to go. Virginia was so warm and professional on the day of and I truly cherish her commitment to making our day feel so perfect. I 100% recommend Virginia to anyone in need of a spectacular officiant.

Amazing Rainy Ceremony with Virginia

Virginia is just amazing. My husband and I eloped on the Blue Ridge Parkway with just us, Virginia, and our photographer. She worked with us to create a personalized and heartfelt ceremony that honestly made me ball my eyes out the whole time. She was incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and has such a way with words. On top of it all, she was a trooper. The morning of our wedding it was cold and raining, and she made everything in our outside ceremony feel so special. Couldn’t recommend her enough.

Raven's Roost Elopement Ceremony

Virginia was amazing. My wife and I hired her to perform an elopement style wedding ceremony at Ravens Roost on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Charlottesville. She is LGBTQ friendly and has been performing ceremonies for this community for the past 16 years! She's warm, inviting, and puts everyone at ease with a little humor. She was attentive to our wants and needs for this intimate ceremony. Her husband was even gracious enough to snap a few photos during the ceremony. She made this moment unforgettable for my partner and I by helping transform our own words into an elegant wedding ceremony. Would recommend Virginia for all!

We are 100% completely satisfied with Virginia...from the initial contact to the day of she was nothing but helpful amd professional...she brought our vision to life for our special day...we chose the Elopement at Pen Park deal for $100.00 and got edit and add on an Elemental Blessing and Hand Fasting Ritual added for $50.00 more...she is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have...she put together a beautiful, simple and unique Ceremony created just for us...she showed up right on time amd filled out all the paperwork right after the ceremony amd even mailed inthe marriage license for us...she makes you feel at ease with the whole thing and you know you don't have to worry about the ceremony because she's got that covered...I would highly recommend her services...

Great for our outdoor elopement

Virginia was very responsive and flexible to our needs. After a last minute time-change, she still delivered a fantastic ceremony for our small elopement. She took the time to get to know us and our few friends, and she made our marriage more memorable than I expected!

Beautiful Handfasting Ceremony

When our plans to go to Scotland to get married were cancelled due to the pandemic Virginia helped us plan a perfect Handfasting ceremony here close to home. Virginia was flexible when our time needed to be changed and she was overall more than willing to assist and help us plan the perfect vows for our ceremony.

Pure Magic

Meeting Virginia over the phone was where it all started, with Covid going on we couldn't meet In a normal place and had a phone conversation and from there I knew she was the perfect person to marry us. During the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to elope and Virginia worked really hard to make our special day exactly what we wanted! The best wedding experience

Virginia is amazing. We were set on our date and then the COVID pandemic hit the United States. She worked with us to keep our date and our choices during the ceremony and still follow social distancing guidelines. Not only that, but it ended up raining that day and she worked to change our venue that very morning. She made our day beautiful, meaningful, and special. We could not have been happier with our experience with Virginia. The care, attention, and flexibility she showed us was above and beyond our expectations.

Personalized, Perfect Elopement

From the first time we contacted her, my husband and I were impressed by how sincere, helpful, and thoughtful Virginia Moore was. Virginia helped us plan a personalized elopement ceremony with our immediate family members present at a location that we selected. During the planning stage, she was quick to respond via phone and email, and she was more than accommodating when we had special requests for our elopement. She offered an extensive list of beautiful vow and reading suggestions, and was supportive and encouraging when we chose to write our own vows. My husband and I both have teenaged sons and Virginia incorporated them into our ceremony with a meaningful reading about blended families. We could not be more pleased with the meticulous attention to detail and the sincerity with which Virginia officiated our elopement!

Detailed, honest, lovely, and kind. Virginia is a wonderful choice for an officiant.

Virginia made the entire process of planning and detailing our wedding incredibly easy. As our officiant, she did an incredible job making sure that she was the right fit for us, and then offering us an incredible amount of options and information so that we could tailor our experience in a way that was meaningful and specific to us. Virginia showed exceptional professionalism in communication with us, and was always open to feedback on what she could do to make things better for us. Due to her long history of officiating weddings in the area, she was an invaluable resource for information that my husband and I were able to utilize to make planning our wedding easier. To top it all off, she was incredible personable with our family and friends at the ceremony itself and helped draw everyone in that much more. Such a delight to work with!

My husband and I had very specific ideas about what we wanted our wedding ceremony to be. Virginia is for Lovers

Virginia has an amazing talent when it comes to personalized ceremonies. From the moment we showed interest in her service she was fun and outgoing and gave us a ton of great advice as a couple. Wonderful to work with

Virginia made our ceremony and words come alive. She made sure the process flowed smoothly from start to finish. She’s serious about deadlines and was fantastic at making sure that my husband and I provided the proper information before the ceremony so that she could write a wonderful script. Virginia will cater your ceremony according to your needs. She suggested the earth blending ceremony for our wedding and we loved it. I also appreciated her humor and efficiency during the rehearsal. Magical elopement ceremony tailored just for us

We had a small elopement ceremony about a half hour outside of Charlottesville, VA. Virginia was very responsive beforehand and added many personal touches that made the ceremony perfect for us. Beautifully Personalized Ceremony

When we had our first phone call with Virginia, she brought tears to our eyes describing how she would do our ceremony. We were so moved by her thoughtful ceremony idea that seemed so personal, even though we had just met. Over the next few months, she wove our personal stories into a highly personalized ceremony and the final product amazed our guests. So many people complemented it at the reception. We both come from religious families but are now secular. We wanted all the gravity of a religious ceremony which fit our secular beliefs. Virginia accomplished this beautifully and made our families laugh, cry, and fall in love with our love story.

Customized, Creative Wedding Ceremony

My wife and I had no idea how to begin to plan a wedding ceremony, so Virginia was perfect. She knew exactly how to construct a ceremony that was customized to us. We met with her in town and she took the time to get to know us and understand what we were looking for. She then took our answers to questions about our relationship and crafted a custom message for our ceremony. We wanted a secular, yet meaningful service and she delivered. If you are looking for a wedding ceremony that is more than just vows and rings, then Virginia is perfect! She also took all of our input and made edits to what she wrote. My husband and I were married a week ago by Virginia and we are still talking about how beautiful and meaningful our ceremony was! From the moment we met with Virginia, we could tell that she was very professional and would be someone who could guide us through what a ceremony should include, but also create an experience unique to us. She was understanding and accepting of our wishes and goals for our ceremony. She got to know who we were individually and where we both came from, and then got to know what kind of relationship we had and what our goals for marriage were. Virginia spent a great amount of time writing a detailed, personalized, and heartfelt ceremony that reflected who we were as a couple. It was everything we could have asked for and more. If your still looking for an officiant, just stop and call Virginia. We could not have asked for a more special ceremony. From the very beginning, working with Virginia was a painless process. She was very accommodating for a non denominational ceremony. She was easy to get in touch with and very quick to respond to emails. We knew absolutely nothing about the process when we started and she answered all of our questions. She took time to get to know us and took everything that we said about each other and transformed it into a beautiful story and ceremony script. She provided ample options for different parts of the ceremony, readings, vows, etc.

When it came time for the rehearsal Virginia brought such a light and fun vibe to practicing how the day would go. The rehearsal could have been a dry formality but instead it was quick, extremely funny, and informative. She was again prepared for every question we threw her way. We also had a wedding coordinator join us for the rehearsal and day of and Virgina was great about making sure they were on the same page and worked together in a very professional manner.

On the day of our wedding Virgina came to us again with such a great attitude and wonderful advice for us after the ceremony was over. I had all of my friends and family asking me where on Earth I found her because she was so great!

Virginia was the absolute best. We are not religious, but we wanted a meaningful ceremony that represented who we are as a couple. Virginia delivered. She gave us lots of examples of previous ceremonies and choice within the ceremony script for the blessings and vows. We picked our own readings and wrote heartfelt words to read to each other. She printed it all beforehand so the we and the readers didn't have to bring anything! She was also INCREDIBLE at the rehearsal-- keeping everyone laughing while instructing each of us in what to do. Honestly, the best part of Virginia is what she calls the "tribute to the relationship." We each answered questions in writing, and she wove what we said together in an amazingly beautiful way. It sounded like she had known us for years and years, and we got so many compliments about how heartfelt it was. The first time she sent the ceremony script (for us to make edits if we wanted), I absolutely bawled. That was also good because I didn't cry QUITE as hard during the ceremony itself. I wholeheartedly recommend Virginia. She made our wedding so unbelievably magical, and we are so grateful for that!

Virginia is excellent! She took the time to get to know us as individuals as well as a couple and brought it together as one. She has a great energy and way about her that made our day both special but relaxed and centered. Even though we had an elopement wedding, our ceremony was still substantial, meaningful, and rich...not lacking the traditions that make a wedding ceremony what it is. She incorporated a wonderful new tradition of a wine ceremony that was a perfect compliment to our vineyard wedding venue. Overall, she exceeded our expectations. BOOK Virginia! The ceremony is the whole point of the wedding and she is the icing on the cake. She was remarkable, Virginia married us on July 9, 2016 and she was so thoughtful and took it very serious. She captivated our guest and us. We had tears of laughter and tears of joy while she spoke. She took our story and shared it with the world. She is very good at what she does. She has a way with words! 5 months later we are still having people talk to us about her. She is a great speaker and writer. She took our very own love story and wrote about it after meeting with us. She gave us questions to answer about each other and also gave us a time-line so we were not rushed. She is amazing at what she does and she is the best. Our wedding was amazing and our ceremony was truly magically because of her. BOOK HER!! You will not regret it :)

Definitely contact Virginia if you want to have a ceremony that is very personal, relaxed, and fun. She works personally with you to make your wedding what you want it to be, and is very helpful and accommodating. My husband "loved her flow" (I think this means he admired her poetic writing in creating the ceremony that was unique for us) and I loved her ability to create a comfortable atmosphere for both the rehearsal and the ceremony (despite our lack of preparedness). She takes the time to get to know you and by the day of the wedding she feels like a family friend. We couldn't recommend her more. Thank you, Virginia!

Virginia was so great to work with. She was very personable from the beginning and really got to know us before she drafted our ceremony. About a month or so out from the wedding she shared with us her draft and we were so impressed with how perfectly she captured our relationship and our requests for the ceremony. Virginia is AWESOME! She was super flexible with letting us create our own ceremony however we wanted or use from ceremonies and ideas she had. Ultimately she was all about helping us create our own ceremony from the words to the people involved in it. She had the perfect amount of assertiveness, she added the perfect amount of humor, she was so reasonably priced, and she was great helping get us through rehearsal. We thought we would need to get married a few days before our actual ceremony and she offered to meet us anywhere to ensure we were legally married when we needed to be. EVERYONE commented on what a beautiful ceremony we had.

We chose Virginia to be our celebrant because she was warm and welcoming when we initially met with her. She ask questions about both of us to make our ceremony unique to us. She helped guide us in the right direction and made the process very easy. She made great suggestions and ideas and let us choose what we wanted. Virginia was wonderful! We met with her for an interview to make sure that what we wanted in a ceremony would match up to the services she provided. She sat with us and got to know us and our story. She helped us figure out exactly what type of ceremony we wanted and then was able to shape that into something personal and made just for us. This was no cookie cutter ceremony, but something tailored to us and our experiences. You can tell she cares about the people she works with and that comes across from the very first meeting. She was incredibly helpful while we both tried figuring out our vows and the readings we would be sharing with each other. During the rehearsal, she was even able to keep our crazy bridal party in check long enough to make sure everyone knew what they were doing and when. It was a beautiful ceremony and a wonderful day. I will definitely be suggesting her to friends and family!

Virginia gave us a beautiful, meaningful wedding ceremony. My fiance and I are not religious, but we still wanted enough "content" to our ceremony to give it the weight it deserves rather than being over with in 15 minutes like we've seen at many other weddings. Virginia met with us and used our responses to questions to create a lovely tribute to our love, and we incorporated a few different readings and ceremonies (wine blending, tree planting) as well. She was very flexible and accommodating to our needs, providing a draft of the ceremony beforehand that we could review and tweak as desired. The end result was exactly what we wanted. So many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony (despite sitting outdoors in the summer heat for 30-40 min!). I highly recommend her as an officiant.

Virginia is amazing!!!! She took care of all the legal filing for our marriage certificate for us which was one less thing for us to do. Our ceremony was written to be unique to us. She gave us a questionnaire after our initial meeting and wrote the most beautiful ceremony. She incorporated everything we wanted, performed a Celtic Hand Ceremony using my mothers wedding veil lace. We had secret poems which we picked out for each other that were read for the first time at our wedding. Virginia has a way to make you feel at ease and relaxed during the ceremony. She will perform any type of ceremony you are looking for! She is truly unique and amazing at capturing what you have in mind. she also gave us a copy of our ceremony and instructed us to read it at our first anniversary, we are so looking forward to it!

When we first spoke with Virginia we immediately clicked, as we shared similar beliefs and values. Throughout the process Virginia was responsive and made our experience in creating our ceremony fun and enjoyable. We particularly liked that Virginia made the ceremony about us as a couple and had us facing each other throughout the duration of the ceremony. Virginia performed our elopement ceremony for us on April 3. She was amazing! We weren't really sure what we wanted, but we knew we didn't want traditional vows. She listened to what we were looking for and was able to find us several sets of vows we could choose from. She kept in contact with us and was always quick to answer our emails and since we lived six hours apart, we had phone meetings. She was very kind and professional and what she performed for us fit us perfectly.

we loved working with Virginia!! she really took the time to get to know us and create a very unique ceremony for us. We are not religious and found her to be so refreshing after struggling to find a celebrant who would do a non-denominational ceremony (who knew that would be such a chore?). She really knew what she was doing and helped organize our sort of chaotic rehearsal with complete professionalism. She was also very patient when working with some of our family who do not speak english. We enjoyed working with her so much (and so did our family) that she will be the celebrant in my brother's upcoming wedding this June. Book her!! Virginia was incredible. I had so many of my guests say that they LOVED the ceremony. Some friends even told me that it was the best ceremony that they had ever been to. My wife and I were married in October at the Inn at Willow Grove in Orange, Virginia, and Virginia Moore was our officiant. We couldn't be more pleased with her services, as she crafted our ceremony around our interests and beliefs, and made us feel at ease from beginning to end. Working with Virginia was extremely easy. We planned our marriage ceremony in one week, following the Virginia Supreme Court ruling and were fortunate that she was available on our planned date. The ceremony was absolutely perfect in every way and truly prepared for us. When re-reading our vows, the words spoken during our hand fasting ritual, and the thought provoking words of our officiant, there was no question that this ceremony described our personalities and our love for one another in every way. I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Virginia. Our whole correspondence and ceremony planning was done via e-mail, and her quick and thorough responses made it all very low-stress. I am not sure where to begin with my review for Virginia, our wedding officiant. My husband's grandmother, whom we are both very close to, is a minister and was supposed to marry us. A couple months before the wedding, her health began to decline and she was unsure if she would even be able to attend the wedding, let alone officiate it. So my husband and I planned a trip to Charlottesville (we live in DC) to coordinate with our vendors and meet with officiants to see who we connected with. We met with two officiants and immediately after sitting with Virginia, we knew we wanted her to marry us. Even in that initial meeting before she knew we were going to hire her, she really wanted to get to know us. My husband is quite private about 'feelings', but even he felt comfortable with her almost immediately. It was difficult to choose someone to replace my husband's grandmother, but Virginia did such an amazing job!

We had a very small wedding, only our immediate family and grandparents were in attendance. Our families were blown away by how personal and customized our ceremony was. Between the one meeting with had with Virginia, email correspondence and 'homework' she gave us to fill out, you would have really thought that she knew us our entire lives. The ceremony was anything but cookie-cutter, everything about it was customized to us as a couple, which made it so special for us and also our families. Thanks again, Virginia, you were amazing!

Virginia created an exceptional ceremony for our wedding. She designed the ceremony in a way that captured our personalities and still reflected our feelings to one another. We also included filipinio traditions that were an important part of my husbands heritage. She researched the traditions for us and created a great way to include it into our traditional ceremony. Even when the filipino traditions were modified by my husbands family, she easily shifted her original tradition writings to reflect what the family wanted. We have a very busy professional life and she showed great patience with us when it took us longer to get answers back to her. During our ceremony it began to rain and she even shifted her cermon to the rain and asked for positive thoughts to keep the rain away. I must say that after that statement the rain did hold off! My husband and I couldn't have chosen a better person to marry us than Virginia Moore. My favorite part about her involvement in the ceremony is her process and style. She asks her clients to write about their fiancé/fiancée, and she weaves it together into a beautiful, meaningful ceremony. I appreciated this, because the most important aspect of our wedding, aside from my husband and I marrying each other, was giving off a very personal vibe and having our guests walk away feeling as though they know more about us, our relationship, and the love we share. Virginia's style accomplished that without having us write our own cheesy, goofy vows - although I'm sure that people can do that if they wish. Aside from this, she was responsible, professional, and flexible. For instance, she arrived promptly to the rehearsal and wedding and took the authority to keep the rehearsal on task. Also, I planned the entire wedding from afar, and she was very flexible with holding phone calls and conversing over email. While this is less important than how my husband and I felt about the ceremony, my guests made many positive comments about how lovely it was. I whole heartedly recommend Virginia Moore and her services.

VA was more than I could have asked for! From the moment we (my fiancé, me, and my mom) met her, we loved her, and let me tell you, I'm the only girl and the baby of the family, so my mom wanted somebody perfect to marry me!
We met over coffee and we went through everything we wanted for our ceremony, she even gave her own ideas (but didn't push them at all mind you). My favorite idea was how she suggested for my mother in law to carry flowers down the aisle symbolizing my deceased father in law - she had me at that!
Next time we saw her was for our rehearsal. She was perfect, she kept everybody focused, which was great because I had a million things on my mind, so I was happy to let her take charge and take the lead.
The big day! She was amazing - we chose the ceremony where she wrote about how we met and why we love each other etc. We read the 'how we met each other' part, but chose to keep secret the rest of the 'why we love each other' part. So glad we did because it was amazing to hear it while looking into each other's eyes on our wedding day.
We got lots of compliments on the ceremony afterward (my family can be brutally honest, so I know it was all genuine!!). We all laughed and we all cried during the ceremony. I honestly would not change one thing about my ceremony and I am so happy we went with VA!

For example, we answered some interview questions that she used to help make the experience the most personal it could be. We had an intercultural, interfaith ceremony, and did most of the planning long distance, and Virginia was always ready to speak with us whenever we needed to. Very happy to have had her officiate.

We were wed in Northern Virginia and hired Virginia Moore to be our celebrant. We could not recommend her more highly. She worked with us every step of the way to shape a customized, personal and beautiful ceremony. I am Jewish and my husband is Irish Catholic and she managed to incorporate both of our cultural heritages in a lovely, personal ceremony that most attending said was one of the nicest ceremonies that they had witnessed. She asks the right questions and listens carefully to shape the ceremony. She is highly professional, flexible, responsive, dependable, and personable. Although she is located in Charlottesville, she was willing to meet us half way (from NVA) for a first meeting and then continue through emails, etc. I would highly recommend her for almost any type of ceremony; we could not have been happier.

Virginia was wonderful. She met with Terrance and I and helped guide us through creating a unique and custom wedding ceremony that had all the elements we wanted. Virginia had wonderful suggestions for ways to incorporate various elements and ideas. After meeting and talking with us, as well as reviewing our wedding website and responses to questions she asked wrote a beautiful, funny and fabulous piece about us, our relationship and what brought us together on that wedding day. We asked her to keep it a secret from us until our ceremony and we are so glad we did --- it was just perfect and was a fabulous surprise to have! Virginia helped my now husband and I craft a beautiful, personal and incredibly memorable wedding ceremony. We will be forever grateful to Virginia for this gift. We had countless wedding guests come up to us both at the wedding and even since then to tell us how moving they found our ceremony to be and, honestly, that was the best compliment we received of all the wedding details our guests noticed. Our ceremony was one of the most important components of our wedding and we intentionally sought out an officiant who wanted to get to know us as a couple and as individuals; Virginia did exactly that.

Before hiring her we had a good 90 minute phone conference where we talked about our history together, our families and our initial thoughts on the ceremony. A few months before the wedding we sat down with Virginia to hammer out the ceremony schedule. We wrote our own vows and she gave us input at that point too. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, we were in touch with Virginia via email making last minute tweaks to the ceremony script that she wrote. The whole process was flawless and Virginia was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Both my husband and I agree that the ceremony was the best part of the whole day. We dated for more than twelve years before getting married (we’re high school sweethearts!) and so we really wanted our wedding ceremony to feel monumental really as we weren’t convinced our relationship would feel any different post-wedding. Well, we’re still learning how married life is different from before, but I can say with certainty that our wedding ceremony WAS monumental! It felt like we were doing something significant, which I guess is how a wedding ceremony should feel, right? But it was also funny, sweet and personal - Virginia captured us perfectly. We put a lot of heart into our ceremony, but we couldn’t have pulled it off without Virginia’s loving care. We’ll cherish our memories of those 30 very special minutes always.

When we first reached out to Virginia, she told us that we were "lucky" to get her, and boy, she was right. Virginia wasn't just some celebrant that performed our ceremony. Virginia is a true professional who is committed to providing a customized ceremony for each and every couple. Everyone thought Virginia did an excellent job, that our ceremony was beautiful, and were really moved by how personal and customized our ceremony was. Virginia is extremely responsive by phone and email and meets with the couple in order to deliver exactly what the bride and groom want. It was important that my ceremony be non-traditional and non-religious and she providing a perfect ceremony that was both meaningful to me and respectful of the institution of marriage. From the first time I met Virginia.. at my sisters wedding, I KNEW she was going to eventually marry me when the time came. I instantly felt comfortable around her.. that native New York creeping out which made me feel like I was home. My now husband and I met with Virginia 9 months in advance.. a sort of "meet and greet" and we both left knowing she was the right person to marry us.

And right she is.. I have gotten more compliments that our ceremony was the most emotional and intimate that most have ever experienced which is EXACTLY what I wanted. I would honestly like to keep in touch with Virginia.. to ask her if she'd do a blessing for our children when we have them. She is definitely following her life's purpose. You will NOT regret your decision to have Virginia marry you.

Hiring Virginia as our officiant was probably the best decision we made while planning our wedding. She does much more then provide over the ceremony - she creates the ceremony as well. When we first started to plan our wedding we were at a loss over what the most important part - the ceremony and vows - would actually entail. This was especially difficult because we did not want to have a church wedding and were not sure what other ceremonies were out there. Virginia helped us to write our own vows and also crafted a very individual and unique ceremony for us. Everyone who came to our wedding said it was one of the most moving and beautiful ceremonies they had attended. She is also simply great to work with, in all of the craziness around the rehearsal and ceremony Virginia was a calming presence who helped everything to go smoothly. I would recommend her to anyone, and have enthusiastically told engaged friends about her.

I cannot rave enough about Virginia. She is the most wonderful person to work with. I am so glad that we found her! Virginia did an absolutely beautiful job of capturing our story for our family and friends! We took the time to really get to know us and figure out our quirks to make our story personal and lovely! She reached out at all the appropriate times and sent a draft to us about a month early for us to read through and approve. Virginia did a wonderful job as our wedding officiant! She was always incredibly responsive and helpful in answering any questions or concerns we had. She allowed us to have full editing rights to what she would say at our ceremony, which was a great privilege and allowed us to be specific about what we wanted or didn't want to be included. I was grateful to be able to see this before our big day as her words were so touching I couldn't hold back the tears when I first read it. She provided us with options and ideas of what to include but ultimately it was up to us which was wonderful. She even helped me make sure that my programs were complete and correct for what our ceremony would look like.
Despite just some minor stumbles during the delivery, it was very meaningful and memorable for us and our guests (many admitted to having to wipe away tears!). Additionally, Virginia provided a special copy of our ceremony which we will treasure for many years to come! This was a very nice touch to the end of our ceremony.

Virginia was terrific to work with! She helped us create a custom ceremony that had just the right amount of religious and spiritual tone, while showcasing "us". Virginia provides many options and choices to make it exactly what you want, and is open to suggestions of your own. She was very flexible and made the entire process fun. Virginia did a wonderful job making our ceremony personal and fun! She was very organized in terms of letting us know what she needed from us, and sending us drafts of our ceremony. The biggest point of stress in finding vendors was actually finding an officiant. We were blending two religions, and couldn't find someone that was willing to be flexible with that, so we were very glad that we finally found Virginia. We met with her and knew that she was exactly what we were looking for. She put together a ceremony based on our wants and needs, and let us customize it until we were happy with it. We had a number of people tell us after the wedding how nice our ceremony was, and we certainly agree.

I simply could not have wished for a better wedding ceremony than what Virginia put together for us. The complements that we received from our guests were astounding! I never expected that so many people would truly express how much they loved our ceremony. One friend even said she was "obsessed" with our ceremony because it was so unique, heartfelt and just perfect for Chris and I as a couple. The great thing about working with Virginia in the months leading up to the ceremony is her experience and her flexibility. We had NO idea what we were doing and I can't imagine having planned a wedding ceremony without her. We preferred a nondenominational ceremony, and Virginia let us build in as much or as little religion as we wanted to. She really helps to guide you through the process of formatting your ceremony so that it is personalized and heartfelt. My parents informed me that there was not a dry eye in the house. I would recommend working with Virginia to anyone in the Charlottesville area (or beyond - not sure how much she is willing to travel). We'd like to thank her endlessly for the beautiful wedding ceremony that we (and our guests) will never forget.

Virginia wrote us a phenomenal ceremony. It was the best part of our wedding experience, and we threw a killer party afterwards. We'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a very personalized, tailored ceremony with a nice touch of creative flair.

Our only complaint that was she mispronounced our names. Just make sure you drive pronunciation home.

This is the second wedding I have attended where Virginia was the officiant. I am extremely impressed with how well she works with the bride & groom. She obviously takes the time to get to know them and to make this most personal of events extremely memorable

Virginia was pleasant to work with from our initial phone conversation several months before our wedding. She is prompt and timely with getting drafts of the ceremony back to you, as well as with the timing of the rehearsal and the wedding day ceremony. She is articulate with her words and truly captured our relationship when she included quotes from us about one another in the ceremony. Her questionnaire is simple and easy to answer and allows her to get to know you better and shape your ceremony.

Do not recommend

Definitely not worth the price we paid. The entire ceremony was not what we asked for and the vows were not what we chose at all. This isn't that surprising though since she couldn't remember one conversation to the next that we had. Atleast 10 of our guests spoke about how rude she was to everyone while we were finishing setting up, which is highly embarrassing. The amount we had to pay her for such a small ceremony, the least she could've done is given us the last few minutes to prepare. To top this off, she dressed like she was a character in a Stephen King novel. I wish I could get my money back.
