Amazing experience!

We had a fantastic experience using Creative Cakes by Monica. Our wedding had a rustic theme and Monica made sure the cake fit the theme while being simple and beautiful. We didn't really have a vision going in, and Monica gave us ideas and guidance. The final product turned out even better than we could have imagined! The cake was well-priced and we got many compliments about it, regarding both appearance and taste. 10/10 recommend for any special event!

We wanted a very non-traditional groomscake, and Monica made it happen! It was delicious and looked amazing. She delivered both cakes to our venue, and was very prompt. Definitely look into her cakes!

My cakes turned out exactly how I asked for and I couldn’t be more pleased! Her champagne cake balls are to die for. I loved my wedding cake so much, I went back and got my birthday cake from her a month after my wedding. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cake!

Monica created my wedding cake and it was simply beautiful. I told her what I envisioned with my wedding theme colors and when I walked into my wedding reception the cake was sitting there just as I had imagined. One of the easiest vendors to work with during the whole wedding planning! I would highly recommend using Creative Cakes by Monica for any of your Cake needs!

Wonderful service, and great prices. My daughter showed her a picture of what she wanted and it came out beautiful, and the taste was amazing!! And the service was great as well! Definitely recommend this bakery!

Monica created my wedding cake and groom's cake and both were absolutely PERFECT! My bridal cake was so incredibly beautiful! And my husband's groom's cake was EXACTLY what he wanted. Not to mention they both tasted amazing and were VERY reasonably priced. I'll definitely be using Creative Cakes for any of my future cake needs!

Monica absolutely the best!! She took the time during our first meeting to really get a feel for what we wanted and qyen our cakes arrived we were blown away. Not only were they absolutely gorgeous, they tasted amazing. My husbands groom cake was a whiskey barrel with a rifle and our guests were taking pics of it because they were so impressed.ost people don't eat the cakes at weddings because it only looks pretty and doesn't taste good, but our cakes were devoured. This is the best. You will not be disappointed!!!

We HIGHLY recommend Creative Cakes by Monica, they are FANTASTIC!! Their cake is the best cake I have EVER had!!
We used their services for our wedding and were very pleased with them. Monica personally met with us, having the owner meet with us made it all the more special. I was very impressed with her knowledge of baking and instantly felt at ease with her. We ordered a Brides Cake for 110 and a Grooms cake for 30 a year in advanced, both cakes came out perfectly as planned. They arrived to the venue at 3pm as scheduled with no issues. Monica also made our cake topper it was an "E" it turned out beautifully, very sweet personal touch and take away from the wedding. I can't emphasize on how delicious the cake and icing was.. worth every penny.
We will definitely be using them again!!

Cake was delicious. Got many compliments not only on the cake decoration, but the flavor as well. The wedding cake was beautiful! My groom's cake incorporated a 64scale Allis Chalmers tractor and was a MAJOR hit with the guests. Thank you so much for making this special cake for him and keeping it a secret from him until the big day!

I was recommended to try out Creative Cakes by my vendor while at a bridal show. I immediately could tell the difference between her cakes and all the other cakes at the show. Monica's cakes are the perfect amount of moist, the perfect amount of sweet, and they look fantastic! At our cake tasting, my husband and I tried many different flavors, but three were our favorite. Monica allowed us to make each tier a different flavor! Our guests all told us it was the best wedding cake they had ever had, and it looked incredibly beautiful, too! It was just what I asked for: elegant and amazing.

I found Creative Cakes by Monica at a Fort Worth bridal show. Every vendor's cakes had been sitting out for a while and most were either a wee bit stale (fair enough, no judgment here, it had been about 7 hours) or trying to overcompensate by making their cake way too moist, resulting in something more akin to cakey not-cold ice cream. When I tried Monica's cakes though, I knew that I had to take my hubby for a full cake-tasting. A month later, when we tried it out at her Azle store (with her even making time for us on Easter weekend at the last minute), we were sold. We set our deposit right then and right there and when we were discussing cake decorations and I said I wanted 3D butterflies on the cake, she called her other store and found gorgeous butterflies in our colour. My mother then indicated that she would like to taste test with us a week later when she came down. Even though Monica already had something scheduled and we had already booked with her, she scooched around her schedule enough so that my mother, my aunt, and I could come in and taste test (and my mother could contribute her opinion on the decorations) for a second time. Best cake I have ever tasted, hands down (and I am a very picky cake eater). Whenever I was out in the area (or I made it a priority to be out in the area for cupcakes), I would always swing by just to pick up a six-pack of her cupcakes! When it came to our wedding cake, it was beautiful and perfect. Her designs were astounding and brought our dreams for what our cakes would look like to life. She was just absolutely phenomenal and our one complaint was that we didn't get to eat more at our reception!

OMG!!! That is all I have to say. We met with Monica and her cakes are beautiful. Not only does she have an assortment of cakes flavors, but she took our thoughts and designed our cake right in front of us. I love her new location for meetings and what we were able to taste was wonderful.
Her pricing and array of cake designs is the best combination I've seen so far. I look forward to working with Monica in the near future.
She is very professional and very compassionate about what she does. Years of catering with her family and years of her own cake service.

I went to several places to find a cake and I was shocked at how ridiculously priced wedding cakes are and with my other priorities, cake was not on the top of my cost priority list. Although there are a lot of high-end boutique cake places in the DFW area that have gorgeous cakes, none of them taste great and you pay a ridiculous price. Creative Cakes by Monica is an exception to that rule! The cake designs are more basic, but are still gorgeous. The most important part is that the cake actually tastes good, which I have found is very rare for a wedding cake! I can't tell you how many compliments I received on the cake, and how it didn't taste like a wedding cake. They packed up a few pieces for my husband and I to share and the next morning, the cake was still awesome! She is very flexible and lets you decide the flavors. You can have different flavors on each tier, can have your florist put flowers on top, and even send them the ribbon you want if you want to decorate with ribbon. I ordered it fairly late in the game before our big day, and they fit us in without any problem or extra fees. The pricing was very competitive even though it was a custom design. I am so happy I chose them! Thank you Monica!

We found out 2 weeks before our wedding that the person we hired to make our cake was no longer in the bakery business. He referred us to Monica and she was AMAZING! Not only was she able to accommodate us with such short notice they cakes were DELICIOUS! Even the anniiversary topper was delicious one year later! (We used a food saver)

We ordered our wedding cake from here and it was delicious and beautiful! All of our guests commented on how good it taste and it was exactly what I wanted. The best cake I've ever tasted. Monica also knows how to smooth out buttercream icing to look like fondant & taste 100% better than fondant. The cake was beautiful & looked exactly like we requested.

MY CAKES WERE AWESOME! We had a very traditional wedding cake, and it was beautiful and delicious! The more challenging cake was the grooms cake. We married in Vegas and had a reception back home, so we wanted a roulette wheel and board for the grooms cake. Monica did a FANTASTIC job! The grooms cake not only looked really great, but was just as delicious as the wedding cake. I highly recommend Creative Cakes by Monica to anyone needing ANY kind of cake, wedding, groom, or otherwise. She was very reasonably priced and so easy to work with, and the final products were perfect!

I first heard of Monica's when my sister was getting married a lady in my mom's office refered her. My sister got married in Azle, TX (where Monica is located) last year. After tasting her cakes it was a hands down winner. So of course, when my husband and I were planning our wedding I told him Monica's was making our cake. He isn't much for cake, but once he went to the tasting and had her cake and cake balls he agreed it was the best he had ever tasted. I got a some what simple design on my cake I had them do almost a lace over lay on the cake with running rhinestones. My husband had a cake made out of cake balls in the shape and design of a Republican Elephant. Monica's was so resonable on their price and one vendor I didn't have to worry about. I am still recieving compliments on her cake, and my husband and I plan to go get some more cake balls soon.

I cannot say enough good things about Monica and her staff. Her cakes are beautiful, delicious and well priced. She is extremely accomidating and wonderfully talented. If you can dream it...monica can do it. She has limitless flavors, designs, etc.

By far the best vendor I had. I had an offbeat cake and a wedding flavor that wasn't on their menu and they kicked butt. My cake was a chocolate cake with hazelnut filling and people are still raving about how amazing it was!

I also changed the design of the groom's cake the week of the wedding, and they had no issues! Hands down, our favorite vendor. I'll be coming here for all of our future cakes.

All I can say is YUMMMMM!!!! She is located in Azle and makes the best cake I have ever had. She is so very reasonable and dependable. She created excatly what I wanted. I have recieved so many compliments on how they usually do not like cake but told me mine was fabulous. I am telling you I will travel to Azle just to eat her cake and cupcakes . Use her and you will not be disappointed. She came recommended by my moms' coworker who travels one hour just to have her make all her cakes.

The bride and groom's cake was beautifully designed and delicious.
Monica is a joy to work with and is SO TALENTED in her creations. Our guests loved our wedding cakes. We can't wait for a year anniversary so we can once again enjoy Creative Cakes by Monica!
Monica made us feel at home and like part of the family. She took her time in listening to our wishes and ideas and her southern sweet spirit was a delight to work with.

Going to Creative Cakes by Monica was the most fun part of the wedding planning process. They are very friendly and have many designs to choose from. The most difficult part of the process is choosing which flavors to have because they are all so amazing. I had the champagne, strawberry velvet, and white chocolate raspberry. The thing I loved most about the cakes was that I don't like fondant and the cakes are made to look like fondant, but they are butter cream. There prices are very reasonable as well.

Absolutely perfect! Every bride holds her breath for the cake and flowers, and my daughter was no different. Monica spent a lot of time listening to what the bride and groom both wanted, but how do you take those dreams and turn them into reality? I don't know, but Monica did it. The wedding cake, grooms cake, and ALL of the flowers were EXACTLY what the kids wanted and really made the entire event breathtaking. And the cakes tasted great too! Can't ask for more, and at an extremely affordable price. I will use her again for non-wedding events!

Creative Cakes was the perfect company to partner with to make our wedding day extra special. This bakery was referred to us by our venue (A&M Gardens) who spoke highly of Monica, the owner of Creative Cakes. Lucky for us, the bakery was just a few miles from our venue. We went into her business without an appointment, and she was very generous in accommodating our needs promptly. We had a wonderful tasting in a private room - each cake was SO good that we had trouble choosing a favorite! We ended up enjoying Italian Creme the most, which is a great flavor for any event and pleases any picky eater. However, we decided to also incorporate White Chocolate Raspberry, Chocolate, and Vanilla in other tiers of our cake. Monica drew out a design of our cake at that appointment, and within 30 minutes everything was decided. She is very professional and down-to-earth, and she has years of experience. Our wedding day came, and the cake looked better than we imagined. Our guests raved about the cake - especially the taste! Our good friends are getting married in a few months and will be using Creative Cakes. I will definitely go to her business for a box of cupcakes in the future. Her pricing is pretty reasonable for the quality of cake. We payed $600 for a 4-tier cake which fed 150 people and left us with the top tier for our upcoming one year anniversary. Thank you Monica!

Delicious, beautiful, professional, reasonably priced. What more could you want in a cake vendor?

The best part is, Monica's cakes look like fondant, but are actually made with her own special blend of buttercream! We opted for white chocolate strawberry and Italian Cream cake, and were not disappointed.

If you're in the DFW metroplex, you can't beat this vendor for price, quality, look, and reliability, so there's not really much of a point in continuing to look at other vendors. Save your time and give Monica a call.

Lauren and Monica were amazing people to work with. The original business making my cake canceled on me about a week and a half before my wedding. Lauren and Monica took my cake over like a champ and did not complain once how little time they had! The wedding cake and groom's cake were perfect!

Delicious and beautiful!

Monica and Mary were the best! From the FREE cake tasting, the outstanding pricing and the most delicious cakes! They worked with our constant venue changes due to venue filing bankruptcy etc. They adjusted the quantity when we needed and they even traveled all the way from their shop to Denton to set-up the groom's cake and wedding cake while we were at the chapel. The cakes were AMAZING!!! I normally hate cake, of any kind, so does the bride. And it was FABULOUS!!! That was the moistest most delicious cake I have ever had. We received numerous compliments on the cakes and it was all demolished. I cannot thank you guys enough for such delicious cakes and for working with us and getting this all set up. I wish you could do all our future cake orders, but us living over 5 hours away might be a problem.

Beautiful cake, and so delicious! I was able to taste everything and they even made some gluten free cupcakes for a few of my guests. I loved the cute cowboy boots incorporated in the cake!

Creative Cakes was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator… We scheduled a tasting with Monica and booked her! The cupcakes were delicious, and she worked with us to give our wedding guests six different flavor options as well as create my husband's dream triple chocolate Texas cake. They provide delivery and setup services as well as cake stand rentals… They happened to forget our stands, so they purchased some nearby as a quick fix, which wasn't exactly what we had in mind, but it worked out just fine. It definitely didn't affect our guests raving over the groom's cake and cupcakes!

Great cake! We got so many compliments at our reception. The price seems high but it was better than a lot of places. Our cake was beautiful. Ordering was easy. We went to Azle, sampled cupcakes and looked at pictures. She even gave us some to take home. She has so many pictures of cakes, we just picked a style we liked and made it our own. 2 days before the wedding I added a sheet cake to the order- no problem. Can't wait to order another cake from here!!

I was a little hesitant booking my wedding cake with Monica after they were somewhat unprepared a couple times when I came to do tastings, but on the wedding day Monica did not not disappoint. She made beautiful bride and groom cakes and they were delicious (they have a ton of flavors to choose from too). They looked exactly like what I wanted and we got so many compliments. I will definitely be a return customer when I need a cake or cupcakes for an event.

The cakes were incredible!! We had the champagne cake and a chocolate cake. They designed the cake exactly as I wanted and were very flexible to add a few jewels to it to give it a sparkle. They also ordered a jeweled W for me very promptly. The staff was very helpful to come up with a design for the grooms cake; they were very willing to ask a few questions to determine what they could do for various options.

Wedding Cake

I wanted a “naked” wedding cake and it came out perfect. I did a 3 tier cake with different flavors on each. The champagne flavor was my favorite! Very affordable and I’ve also used Monica for a 30th birthday cake too. Will definitely be using for all future events.

Delicious! I found Monica by chance at the last Bridal Show I attended before my wedding and just HAPPENED to try the most amazing cake ball ever! She was just around the corner from my venue and it was a perfect pairing. I set an appointment to meet with her and then the crazy ice storm hit and sure enough she was still open for business and we still had a tasting! She was more than happy to offer suggestions for creative flavors since I am not a traditional white wedding cake kind of bride and when my husband decided we should have an actual cake to cut ourselves they offered to make a larger than life cake ball and first anniversary layer for us at minimal cost.

Monica came and set up everything I didnt have to do a thing and it was so yummy, very moist but not too doughy, just perfect and everyone commented on how good and creative they were. I was very pleased and would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for something ... well ..... CREATIVE!

This place is sooo delicious! for both wedding cake/cupcakes & the grooms cake was around 500$ which is sooo cheap! but their work is amazing! One day before the wedding I get a phone call saying the lady who we had spoken with and booked with no longer worked there, and what kind of design and ideas did I have for my cake. so with me and the stress I had, and with it being one day before the wedding, just made me FURIOUS at the fact that they couldn't have called days before instead of the day before. but other than that, they did exactly what I said idea wise, which was awesome and I received a lot of compliments on the taste and creativity of the cakes

I ordered my wedding cake here and I regret it. My cake was dropped off at my venue the day of by Monica and I guess in transit part of the fondant had melted off. Instead of letting me (or anyone) know she tried to fix it and left without saying a word. Needless to say when I saw the cake I was very upset. Not only had her temporary fix not held I couldn't get ahold of anyone to fix it. So the following open week day I returned to the cake shop to ask the owner who dropped off my cake. She said it was her and I asked her did she realize the fondant had melted off the cake and her response was, yea it was really hot that day. I tried to fix it but I had another cake to deliver. After I told her that was very unprofessional to just leave it like that and not tell me she agreed she was wrong and offered me 20% off my next cake.
Not only will I never order another cake from her I want to warn anyone who uses her to beware!!!!!

MISTAKES! MISTAKES! MISTAKES! I did my research on wedding wire. However, I did not check other sites which issued notably lower customer sevice ratings on this company. Mistakes with my wedding cake order:
-They did not deliver the top chocolate tier for my cupcake stand. We were going to save this for our anniversary. Instead, we had to save the top tier from the actual wedding cake and serve smaller pieces of cake to our guests.
- They did not place the flowers on my wedding cake, that were sitting right by the cake.
- They did not delivery the chocolate covered strawberries
- they missed a entire row of cupcakes on my cupcake stand, so the second row was completely empty
- They shorted me cupcakes

I called the company and was provided with the excuse that they had several weddings that weekend ( my wedding was one Sunday). I was issued a lousy $30 dollar refund after I threatened to call the BBB. However, I feel like I was owed much more due to all of those mistakes. The only reason I did not issue a 0 on my review was because the cake was undeniable delicious. It's such a shame the customer service was so terrible.

I was VERY disappointed with our wedding cakes we got from Creative Cakes by Monica. We had planned to do a really great, very personal Grooms cake, which we were told would not be an issue, Monica would be able to make it look exactly like the picture we brought in. We were shown pictures of previous cakes and thought we'd have no issues with her and it would be perfect.
Come the day of the wedding the grooms cake was horrible and she left out 2 important elements bc she didn't think it would work, which is fine, had she called us to let us know or given us some heads up that she had changed the design. The main part of the cake was horrible, it looked nothing like what we had brought in, and I was so disappointed in it.
My wedding cake was ok, it was what we ordered but the coloring was a bit off.

The flavors of her cakes are amazing, we loved the taste. I was just super disappointed in the way the looks of our cakes came out, I was so anxious to see them and when I did it was just sad. I even had to go to the bathroom for a few to keep my composer I was so unhappy with the grooms cake. When I went out to talk to her, she was gone, she had just left, didn't say anything to anyone. We called and she never answered or returned our phone calls.

If I had to do over again I would def chose a different baker.

Would not recommend

While the cake she did turned out very pretty, it was not what we wanted. We gave her specific details about flavor and looks, and she did the wrong flavor. She also did not use the color we told her to use for the icing. Therefore the cake did not match the colors of our wedding. This was one thing we were really looking forward to, and she did not do a very good job. We were really disappointed when we saw it. I would not recommend using her.
