My wife Kari and I got married this past weekend and had Jo and the team at Country Gardeners Florist went above and beyond, helping to create the perfect environment for our New England wedding. We provided Jo with some of our own thoughts and visions for the big day, and she just ran with it. The table settings, from the actual flowers, and the more subtle touches, like rosemary on the place settings, was exactly what we were looking for. Our guest seating chart was done on a rustic mirror and was stunning and placed perfectly at cocktail hour. Jo was able to provide us with boutonnières that looked incredible on the tuxes and even pinned them on us. The team even provided us the most amazing vibe on picnic tables for our casual rehearsal dinner. But the thing that stood out most was her impeccable attention to detail, her thoughtfulness and kindness. Jo and her amazing staff at Country Gardeners Florist obviously love what they do and their love for the job comes through as their vision comes to life. Jo even provided the bride with hand picked Lily of the Valley flowers from her own garden, which looked absolutely stunning in the bride’s hair. We are so grateful to Jo and her staff as they were a pleasure to work with and were instrumental in creating our perfect wedding day. -

Country Gardeners made the wedding day extra special!
After a few postponements due to COVID, my daughter's wedding was finally happening. I can't say enough about how great Jo and her team did with making the ceremony and reception look like a fairy tale. We can't say enough at how much we all loved the flowers/arrangements, but also the wedding arch and arrangement that hung below the chandelier. Absolutely spectacular. It was all above and beyond. Thank you all again. -

Joanne and Shannon were so helpful from beginning to end. We had a few phone conversations with Shannon who we shared our Pinterest board with on what our ideas were. We then had a meeting in the shop (which feels like a house out of a fairy tale garden) where we covered everything. We decided on renting gorgeous copper lanterns, a white bird cage and 2 wine barrels. Joanne and Shannon were so sweet and professional. We added on a few things the day before and they were able to make our vision to come to life! They even provided us with a small bouquet for our photographer to use to take detail photos. We couldn’t be happier! -

Jo and her crew (including her family) produce the most lovely flowers and run a wonderful business. Jo works so well with Interlaken Inn and their team. Jo strives to create each wedding’s flowers to be unique and different from the last. She truly understood my vision and created a flowery paradise. My flower inspiration was jewel tones and with an organic garden-like feel. I loved her flowers so much I texted her in the middle of my wedding and brought my bouquet with me to our honeymoon in Maine. At the end of our trip I ceremoniously launched the bouquet off the cliff rocks into the ocean. It was epic. Highly recommend Country Gardeners Florist. THANK YOU SO MUCH! -

Working with Jo has been an incredible experience! She’s been supportive through our wedding planning process despite the postponement due to the pandemic. Her communication throughout the process has been great! I trusted her and her vision right away and she didn’t disappoint. Her arrangements and bouquets were gorgeous! Went above and beyond, crushed it!
Jo and her team knocked it out of the park for our wedding at the nearby Interlaken Inn, my wife and I would give 10 stars if we could. A few highlights:
- Jo made everything seamless. There was nothing that we needed to worry about and Jo and her team just made everything happen. Stuff just magically appeared where they needed to be and looked amazing.
- Very respectful about budget and transparent about pricing throughout. Also made a huge effort to reuse stuff that was used for the rehearsal dinner for the reception and she brought the arch from the ceremony up to the reception which served as a beautiful backdrop behind the sweetheart table.
- Takes pride in their work - if there is something that the Country Gardeners team sees that’s not up to their standards, they will call it out and make sure it gets fixed even if it’s not strictly florals. A few folks from her team happened to be around when it was about 30 minutes before my wife was about to walk down the aisle and they were looking at the dress to make sure it looked good.
We would 100% recommend Jo and her team. For couples getting married at Interlaken in particular, booking Country Gardeners should be a no brainer - they know the venue inside and out and there is a reason they are there all of the time. -

Goddess of Flowers, the Only Florist You Should Consider!
I cannot say enough good things about Jo at Country Gardeners Florist. She's a gem, a professional, a visionary, and a veteran of her craft. My husband and I had so much fun visiting her shop — it is one of our favorite memories from the planning process. She offered us drinks from a mini fridge and had a table-scape laid out based on the Pinterest board she'd asked me to make her. She showed us all the supplies she had for us to choose from, from table numbers to candle holders and lanterns to welcome signs, to baskets of moss, all available to borrow from her shop so we didn't have to go buy all the decor ourselves. After that meeting, I also went ahead and completely changed my mind on the vibe I was hoping for, sent her a bunch of different photos, and she got it and then absolutely nailed it on our weekend. The arrangements were colorful, celebratory, joyful, everything I'd asked for with creative touches I never could've imagined — like blood orange slices on the water glasses. Also, late in the planning process, I said I'd like to do escort cards inside teeny tiny individual flower arrangements. She said she had 110 small vases we could use for that and then she just did it, like magic, bringing to life the exact idea I'd hoped for. We opted for a spiderweb of twinkle lights in the tent at our venue, and because the couple getting married there the weekend prior also wanted them, we split the price, which I thought was so cool of her. The morning of the wedding was rainy, and Jo and her team moved the chuppah multiple times back and forth from the outdoor location to the rain location before we made the call to have the ceremony inside. It was clear they are willing to go the extra mile for their clients. We were lucky to have a pretty big flower budget, but it was clear that Jo and her team work magic within any parameters, and that they put a ton of passion into their work. I'd recommend her without caveat to everyone I know. -

We are so happy we chose Country Gardner for our wedding! Jo was amazing all throughout the planning process and her knowledge of our venue (Interlaken Inn) was so helpful! We had 3 meetings with her and her assistant leading up to the wedding and they were so accommodating and creative in order to bring our wedding vision to life. We didn't want traditional centerpieces and big bridal bouquets and were looking for something more rustic and romantic and they sure pulled it off! From the rehearsal dinner flowers, hanging greenery in the reception tent, the birch chuppah, isle decor and my bridal bouquet (that they re-worked 2 times the day before until i was happy with it :-) ) Everything was flawless!!! The pricing was VERY reasonable for all of the work they put in and ever detail they perfected on the day of I cannot thank Jo enough! They executed our vision perfectly and I wish I could re-live it everyday! THANK YOU!! -

Jo and her team did all of the florals, centerpieces, lounge areas, and greenery for my wedding in Salisbury Connecticut. Her team went above and beyond the call of duty, and made all of my wildest dreams come true! I was absolutely blown away by their expertise, knowledge, attention to detail, and caring personalities. From bringing florals and decor to my welcome event, having an entire reception hall full of flowers/ greenery/ decor, to my farewell brunch, all three days I knew Country Gardners Florist would be there with the most positive attitude and biggest smiles! They helped me so much with bringing my vision to life. I simply could not have had the wedding of my dreams without them! -

A Magical Experience
Joanne and her team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our wedding magical. We decided to get married during the COVID-19 pandemic and hold a small family gathering. That did not stop Jo and her team from bringing 150% to the task. Their chuppah construction and decoration were museum worthy and all guests in attendance (and via live-stream) commented on how beautiful the arrangements were.
On the day of the wedding it was pouring rain but that did not stop Jo and her team from setting up the chuppah. As the clouds cleared just in time for the ceremony, Jo used her leaf blower to ensure the seating and the ceremony area were dry.
Special shoutout to Landen, Jo’s Floral Assistant, for his professionalism and careful execution throughout the wedding weekend.
Our wedding would not have been the same without Jo and her team. We could not possibly recommend them higher. We wish them only the best in the years to come. -

Better than I could’ve imagined!
Jo was so helpful, knowledgeable, and had amazing energy! We went with a less traditional boho vibe and they absolutely nailed it. Communication the week of our wedding gave me peace of mind and made it easy to approve all of the work they did! Jo made being an 8-month pregnant bride so much less stressful knowing our florals were in great hands :) -

Jo and her team are absolutely amazing ! There is no florist around like Country Gardeners Florist. From our first meeting, Jo made my husband and I so comfortable, she wanted to know all the details about our wedding. She listened to everything we wanted and created a vision for our wedding weekend. We stopped in the shop and couple of times, Jo would take the time to go over and modify any details. They decorated for our rehearsal dinner, put the decals on a vintage mirror we rented as a seating chart, decorated the arbor for the ceremony, they even moved the arbor after the ceremony up to the reception. They completely transformed the atrium for the reception for a beautiful boho vibe with twinkle lights, greenery, and white and taupe flowers. The team decorated our cake to go with the rest of the decor, put herbs on the menus at each seat, and did so much more! Jo had us stop in the day before the wedding to see all of the decor, the centerpieces, and the bouquets, and had us make any changes if needed. I was beyond impressed by the decor for our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. Jo and her team go above and beyond to make the whole venue cohesive with decor. They are extremely detail oriented and beyond talented. My husband now knows what “boho” is and loves pompas and cafe ole dahlias because of Jo. Our wedding was beyond beautiful and I will never forget it. -

Jo and her team were beyond just florists. They made suggestions on the reception set up that we would have not thought of. They helped in every aspect of the reception including timeline, cake, table set up, venue set up, and the flowers - i can't say enough about them. The most unique flowers I have ever seen. She got to know me and our family. She knew every aspect of the colors of the bridal party, the grandmother, the mother of the bride and groom, father of bride and groom. It was more than just a florist. We established a relationship. Every touch was Jo and her team. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the partnership, the expertise, the professionalism, but mostly the bond and friendship we developed along the way. -

Jo and the Country Gardeners Florist team are absolutely AMAZING!!! We couldn’t be happier that we chose them as a vendor for our wedding at Lion Rock Farm in CT. Not only are she and her team extremely knowledgeable and creative, but they are also friendly, personable and down-to-earth, which made working with them genuinely fun. From the moment I met Jo, I knew I was in good hands and trusted her lead and distinctive eye. She has a “can-do” attitude, and went above and beyond to bring my floral inspiration to life while staying within budget. One of the best details were the trees that her team installed in our tent (pics attached) which made the reception feel so warm and enchanting! Everyone loved them. They also have an amazing assortment of props/table decor at their shop in Millerton, NY, and Jo helped me choose the best options based on my color palette and theme. After working with them, it’s very clear why Jo and the Country Gardeners Florist team are so well-respected in the Dutchess County and NWCT area. We’re so incredibly thankful for their service and everything they did to make our wedding absolutely beautiful! I can’t recommend them enough!! -

Absolutely amazing!!
Jo and the lovely team at CGF made our wedding vision come to life in a way we didn't even know was possible! Our wedding was pushed back a year from a Fall wedding to a Summer wedding, and with that shift came a lot of changes to the colors, dresses, flowers and overall vibe for the day. Jo met with us multiple times throughout the two years and leading up to the wedding was available via phone and text constantly to reassure us! I had trouble wrapping my head around all the elements and how it would all pull together into this new summer vision, but Jo was so patient and always so easy to talk to and she helped guide me into realizing what I actually wanted in the different elements. She really heard me and understood what was in my head, but hard for me to describe or replicate via Pinterest. I feel so grateful for her guidance and ideas and was BLOWN AWAY at the results. Everything was absolutely stunning and even better than what I had envisioned in my head. She also worked so well with our planner, Stephanie Holst-Grubbe- they were a dream team together! -

Summer Sent on 06/12/2018What can I say, just amazing friendly people, with amazing visions, such great attention to detail, and absolutely aiming to please. Every time my wife and I had an idea, they took our vision and ran with it and turned it into something we couldn't have even dreamed of. When i suggested we wanted "Less cheesy romantic, and more Draculas castle" they didn't look at me like i had three heads, they got it, and loved it! This team went SO SO SO SO above and beyond for us, even hiring the owners son to build us our ceremony trellis and transport it back to our Connecticut home after the wedding for us to keep. I remember when some things went south for us during the planning at our venue, the team here at country gardeners literally held our hands and made us feel excited all over again. I simply cannot say enough good things about this gang. If we had the means to have tipped them a million bucks when all was said and done, boy would they have deserved it! In no way am i writing this review as some sort of favor or anything, I simply believe they are owed the most praise and thanks in the world! If you are getting married in the area and do not choose them you are absolutely doing yourself a disservice. THANK YOU! -

Gorgeous, affordable flowers!
Country Gardeners did the flowers for our wedding and we could not have been happier. They executed our vision perfectly. Jo texted us photos and videos of the flowers in the days leading up to the event, which was so exciting and fun. She included flowers for the aisle, the basket for our flower girl, and lent us the vases for the centerpieces at no extra cost. We also had an unusual design for our chuppah, where our wedding party placed flowers in it as part of the ceremony, and she executed it flawlessly. Just extremely creative, generous, and lovely -- and AFFORDABLE compared to other florists. We recommend them SO highly-- thank you Country Gardeners! -
