After COVID-19 forced us to schedule and reschedule our wedding, we worked with Shannon to plan our intimate wedding in just about a month. It was a whirlwind, but she made it easy. She was so wonderful to work with because she was extremely flexible, detail-oriented and responsive. I knew we were in great hands with her.
Our wedding was supposed to be outdoor, but the temperature plummeted and the rain was non-stop. No worries though - the Country Club transformed a private dining room into a beautiful ceremony spot. When we did get a break in the rain, we were able to capture some lovely photos with the fall foliage in the background.
The food was also delicious. Everyone raved about the main courses - duck, salmon and lamb - and all appetizers were fabulous. Our intimate wedding, with just 8 guests, felt like a cozy, wonderful small dinner party and the Country Club executed it perfectly.
Shannon also went above-and-beyond by capturing one of the most special moments of the day. She snuck a photo of my dad's expression as he saw me for the first time, just before he walked me down the aisle, and it's an irreplaceable memory. We are both so grateful for her thoughtfulness. -

Our wedding at the Country Club of York was everything we hoped it would be and more! The terrace ceremony was beautiful and provided the most breathtaking backdrop for our fall wedding. The ballroom was elegant, warm, and filled with so much romance. Shannon and Morgan were amazing to work with and made sure every detail came together perfectly. The food and service were excellent, and the entire day flowed seamlessly. CCY is a stunning venue, and we are so grateful to have celebrated our day there surrounded by so much beauty! -

Our wedding was picture perfect at the Country Club of York! From the early stages of planning through rehearsal night and the wedding, we felt taken care of. The process was always smooth and easy with Shannon assisting us. The food was AMAZING, the staff was friendly, and the grounds were beautiful! -

Great spot!
Thank you to Shannon and the CCY team for making our wedding a success! Shannon got the details together for the reception and kept things moving on the day of, so there was no need to hire a day of coordinator! The club looked beautiful inside and out. We would highly recommend! -

Picture perfect venue!
We had our reception on the outside terrace at the Country Club of York and it was absolutely gorgeous! The CCY and Shannon Seitz were excellent to work with, especially dealing with COVID wedding changes. Almost two years in the making and planning from afar, but it was well worth the wait. Highly recommend this venue! -

Wedding Reception at Country Club of York
The Country Club of York is an exceptional wedding venue! The grounds are pristine and the ballroom has a classic elegance. Shannon, the event coordinator, was especially helpful in planning a wonderful reception even during the uncertainty of Covid. We received so many comments about our venue and how beautiful everything was. Everyone also raved about the food, especially during cocktail hour. We would not have wanted to have our reception anywhere else! -

Delightful Event
My wife and I had to re-plan our wedding 3 separate times due to COVD-19. Shannon was a delight to work with, the food was excellent, the grounds beautiful. They even had to make adjustments due to changes from COVID-19 handed down from the Governor. My wife and I had the rehearsal brunch with them, along with our wedding which ended up being outdoors. Our day was perfect and Shannon was there to cover every detail. Thank you! -

The County Club of York was better than we could have anticipated. From the start, Shannon was absolutely amazing. She was there to answer all of our questions and to assist in making sure our special day was a success. Throughout the process she remained in constant communication and handled planning our big day in methodical steps that allowed us to continue to get things planned efficiently but without feeling overwhelmed. Shannon and the Country Club worked with us for all our special requests and quirky ideas, never shying away from trying something new or outside the box. One of the hardest things for us was choosing the menu, and not because of limited options but because everything was so incredible. Everything we tried during our tasting left us second-guessing what we wanted to offer our guests. It was a good problem to have. The day of, the staff was amazing and super attentive to us. Even something as small as making sure our glasses were always full and getting us drinks from the bar. Shannon was indispensable on the big day. We had a serious issue with our flowers, and she along with some of our closest friends came through to find a solution and fix the issue. She kept everything coordinated and on time and made sure that everything ran smoothly, we never had to give it a second thought. The space was perfect, from the back patio for our ceremony to the side terrace for cocktail hour, the beautiful scenery for pictures or the wonderful ballroom space for the ceremony, everything just fit so well and looked amazing. We could not have asked for a better venue. And, as mentioned before, the meals were amazing, we heard nothing but fantastic reviews of what everyone had to eat. I have no hesitation or doubt in saying that our day would have been nowhere near the success that it was without having our wedding at The County Club of York and without Shannon to be their and to coordinate everything. We cannot thank them enough for all their hard work and efforts. -

The venue is absolutely beautiful - both inside and out! It's classic and timeless. Our attendees are still talking about the delicious meal and are curious how 200 filets could all be prepared to perfection. You will love working with the venue and seeing your dream day become reality! -

Wedding Reception
We had our wedding reception March 22 with approximately 200 people. We had quite a few no call no shows which was disappointing because we originally were quoted for 240 but it is what it is. The food was phenomenal, presentation was beautiful and the staff was on point. Shannon was great to work with, as usual, and made sure things went smoothly the day of the event. The lighting was perfect, the overall room looked beautiful. Things we never thought of, Shannon did and her attention to detail was very much appreciated. Her commutation was prompt and all of our meetings were very helpful in orchestrating the final event. We walked in with expectations that evening but the CCY exceeded them. We did not do a drink package per person but instead were charged per drink - highly recommend doing it this way. The only thing I would change would be the final guest count for food - not many people ate or if they did, it was very minimal.... they were having too much fun dancing & mingling. If you do have a DJ or band, make sure they let the guests know if you have different stations as well. We had several stations and a few people assumed the same food was being served at each station so they did not get around to all of them. -

Ann Sent on 05/28/2018We chose CCY because of the beauty of the space, and give it 5 stars all around because of the quality of the staff and the food. We chose the Bliss Package with filet mignon and grilled salmon. I got so many positive comments from people seated all around the room about how good all the food was (meal and appetizers). I primarily dealt with Shannon, and she's the greatest! She is friendly, organized, helpful, and responded quickly to all of my questions. The service was exceptional. The room was set up exactly as we wanted. As the MOB, I was more than a bit anxious about the whole process, and when we got to the reception, I felt completely at ease about everything. The waitstaff were awesome! Would give more stars if possible.

Pam Sent on 08/14/2013Beautiful Venue, Delicious Food, the wedding cake was simply gorgeous and so tasty, amazing staff. We had the privilege to work with the most amazing people. They made our special day even more wonderful. The backdrop of the golf courses for our photographs was simply gorgeous. Everyone was so accommodating and professional a pleasure to work with. Even though we don't golf we considered getting a full membership so that we can continue to eat the AMAZING food and enjoy the atmosphere. -

The ceremony was just beautiful, Jennifer was a pleasure to work with, and the grounds are always well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful and the food! Oh the food is just amazing. My fiance and I met with the chef a few months before the wedding to choose our menu and fell head over heels with the "Thanksgiving dinner" option. The day of the wedding, the food was just as good as the first time. People are still raving over dinner and the cake. The wait staff works like a well oiled machine, you don't even know they are there. I would so very highly recommend the Country Club of York...it was everything I always dreamed as a little girl that my wedding would be! -

Our ceremony was outside but an hour before the ceremony started, it looked as if it was going to rain. Jennifer Bachmann (coordinator) and her crew had already started a back up plan for our ceremony just in case!! The weather fortunately held off and we were able to have our ceremony outside!
She made everything look beautiful! I dropped off boxes of decor for the ceremony and reception and she made it look amazing! Just what I wanted!!
I also e-mailed her several times with wedding questions and she ALWAYS got back to me!! I would definitely recommend The Country Club of York!!

Service during dinner was horrible. Water was not refilled, even after several requests. Food was only warm. Wait staff was rude to my guests and my DJ. In addition, I was left in the dark about the change in ceremony location, and then left waiting without any direction.
