Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa is a picturesque, beautiful, peaceful and welcoming venue. Crystal Gonzalez was the best person to be in contact with, and she made sure we had all that we wanted for our wedding! All of the hotel staff, from front desk to food to as simple as the person who provided us towels were exceptional. It provided us a unique, serene experience that we will never forget. For details, our wedding included approx. 75 people and we utilized the wedding gazebo and the Copa Salon and it was a gorgeous, very comfortable, customizable setting. -

Copamarina was a dream. Every single guest raved about how beautiful and inviting it was. My husband and I are from the island but live in Maryland. We absolutely loved the place. Crystal was very responsive and professional, guiding us and answering all of our questions. On the day before our church renewal, we had a private bonfire which was so beautiful and the resort provided extra chairs, tables with flowers on top and great service. I was so pleasantly surprised. On the day of, everything was so well organized and service was top notch. Truly, I was left wanting to come come back to relax and simply enjoy this wonderful resort. Thank you Copa for making my day and my guests stay one to remember! ❤️ -

Where to begin!? We had the most wonderful wedding thanks to Copamarina. They were able to accommodate all of our requests, even as changes happened at the last minute a few times. Lourdes was responsive and made sure everything we asked for turned out exactly as we wanted. We had a welcome dinner and farewell breakfast as well, and the food and locations were nothing short of perfection. The venue is clean, updated, and beautiful. The day of our wedding, due to rain, Lourdes was able to assist with delaying the start of the ceremony. She also assisted with speaking to vendors to
Advise of the delay. Thankfully, the rain cleared and we had a beautiful wedding. We love Copamarina and so did our guests. They raved about the resort even after they left. Thank you, Copamarina, for helping us achieve the wedding of our dreams! -

We got engaged at Copamarina in August and decided to host our September wedding & our honeymoon there too. Miguel & Elsie were amazing through the process and gave us options that fit our budget and our requirements. They were flexible and easy to talk to, always available to check in with our requests. Our wedding day was amazing! Elsie was there to take care of every detail and she was very nice to us and our guests. The staff was above professional and nice, they remembered our names and always treated us with respect and courtesy. Chef Fernando did amazing dishes for us and Luis was above and beyond, always greeted us with a smile and made sure we were having a nice stay at the hotel. The room, the food, the service, everything was amazing and we are glad that we chose Copamarina. We recommend it 100%!! -

In spite of the times that our wedding too place, our stay was nothing less than awesome! My husband and I wished the options of eatery were open but due to COVID-19 and our time of stay there was only one restaurant open.
The Penne Pasta was delicious at Las Palmas Cafe.
The cost to travel to the resort was $$$ but the cost for our destination wedding was affordable.
It is a secluded resort that has some great amenities unfortunately we weren’t able to partake in several of them like Gilligan’s Island & our couples massage because of coronavirus.
The staff was AWESOME 😎 and our accommodations were good.

My experience with Copamarina was beyond amazing. I worked with Miguel for the past 7/8 planning a small wedding and he was so great and quick at getting back to all my questions. The staff at this resort were so nice and helpful. When I arrived I didn’t have a cake or bouquet yet and they helped me find an amazing place that was close for a cake and helped find flowers. We got married on the floating gazebo and the view was everything! The reception area outside was beautifully set up and exceeded our expectations. Our dinner was delicious and the bonfire was the perfect way to end the night. We didn’t end up eating the cake because we were so full so they put it away for us and served it for our lunch the following day. Luis, the manager I believe was so kind and made sure everything went smoothly. My wedding was more than I could have dreamed for because the amazing staff at this resort. I can’t say enough good things about this place. We can’t wait to come back for our first year anniversary. Thank you Miguel, Luis, and the rest of the staff for making this weekend with our families the best weekend. We appreciate you so much. We have no regrets choosing Copamarina as our resort. -

Beautiful beach hotel at Guanica PR. Very secluded hotel, comfy room, delicious food, spectacular sunsets and the staff was very accommodating with us. The gazebo used for the beach front ceremony and the whole area for our small and intimate wedding was beautiful. Now Guanica is suffering from the earthquakes at PR but don’t hesitate to plan your wedding in a future at Puerto Rico!! -

Destination Wedding
This place is AMAZING and the staff there are GREAT. Joan was AMAZING to work with. She made the planning process so easy and she was great at getting back to us. Joan was out of this world, she was so nice and helpful in everything. The staff was great with our guest and they loved everything about the resort. Having my wedding there was a Dream Come True and I would do it all over again. I would highly recommend this place. -

Copamarina is a divine venue. It was all our dreams come true and more.
Miguel was phenomenal, I can't praise him enough. When we were first put in contact during end of August, he was prompt to set up a phone call to introduce himself and provide an overview of the process. He provided accurate and timely responses to all my questions via email and phone. I applaud Miguel for his patience and knowledge as he answered my endless questions. Miguel never once made me feel like I was "bothering" him. He made the months leading up to my wedding stress free and organized. There’s so much that goes into wedding planning/the day of planning and he did it with ease.
Thanks to all the kitchen and waitstaff! The food was fantastic and the drinks were always full.
We wanted a relaxed, fun wedding and you all delivered - our guests have been raving about what a great time they had. -

Had an amazing experience with the Copamarina and Leila, the events coordinator. The location is beautiful for weddings! Everything was set up as discussed early on the day. The gazebo has a beautiful ocean backdrop and dressed up nicely with curtains (provided by Copamarina) and flowers. The reception area in the Alexandra restaurant was perfect for our small wedding. Had plenty of room for a 5 member band and dancing. All of the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They truly went above and beyond! The food was amazing!! From the cocktail hour to the buffet, it was all top quality. Even our meals at the Las Palmas cafe during our stay were amazing. Can’t thank the Copamarina enough for helping make our wedding dream a reality! -

Excellent staff. Very professional and accommodating from day one. Wedding coordinator Leila Lugo was always available when I needed her. Every phone call was always answered and her assistance was amazing. Planning a destination wedding is not easy and she made it extremely comforting. I highly recommend copamarina, the staff and Leila Lugo as a must for a wedding destination. -

As you can know, planning a destination wedding is a nerve wrecking experience. We had a very specific vision of how we wanted the wedding to look like; we wanted it to be on a beach in Puerto Rico, secluded with a beautiful tropical setting but did not want the commercialized feel. After long searches we came across the Copamarina Beach Resort and it was love at first sight! Copamarina seemed to be everything we were looking for and more! We immediately reached out and were connected with sweet Leila-Wedding & Social Event Catering Manager. Leila provided us with all the information needed, was very accommodating and sensitive to any concerns. Leila, if you read this, please know that you are amazing. I appreciated your professionalism and guidance through the entire process.
Upon our arrival, I (bride) was greeted with a very nice surprised from Copamarina! I won’t mentioned the surprise so that future brides can be surprised too! Wedding day was perfect and magical!!
The almost year long planning was stressful but sooo worth it! Friends, families that traveled to Puerto Rico for our big day and all were very impressed with the resort.
We would absolutely recommend Copamarina Beach Resort for weddings, vacations or a quick get away. The Resort is just breathtaking beauty all around. We will be going back next year for our first year anniversary!! Thank You Leila for making this experience as great as you did.

Nos casamos este fin de semana 9 de Junio de 2018, planificamos nuestra boda en un tiempo récord, en un mes. Y realmente con la ayuda de Leila todo salió muy bien! La atención de todo el staff fue excelente. Muy recomendable realizar su boda aquí.

The weather did not stop us from having a lovely and romantic ceremony, followed by an amazing reception....The food was exquisite, everyone still talking about it and will for life...who know we might do an anniversary party every year...we look forward to our next event at Copamarina and their amazing staff and food. -
User2516167 Sent on 01/24/2016We would recommend this venue to anyone who wants to hold a wedding, so would all of our guests. We think we can say that it exceeded all of our expectations. For that reason, we would give this 6 stars. From the moment we pulled up to sign the final contract through the entire ceremony, we were impressed with this venue. The resort itself is incredible. It is located in a dry forest, so it's remote location was a big hit with the guests. There is a community of beach houses nearby if your guests prefer not to stay at the resort (we held our wedding over the New Years' holiday, so some of our guests could not get rooms -- not the venues fault, it was our planning -- but it all worked out well -- no complaints from us or our guests). There is a relatively cheap ferry from the resort to Guiligan's Island, which everyone enjoyed the day before and the day after the wedding. The food was amazing. We couldn't believe that they could fix so many dishes at such a high quality. We held our wedding at sunset outside under the arch (it's in some of the pictures). The weather works well because of the dry climate on this part of the island. It does rain (and did rain during our stay), but most of the time the weather was dry. The salon for the reception was perfect; it was set off from the rest of the resort. The only downside is that you cannot have music after 10:00pm. Liliana Petri, who handles all of the wedding issues, worked with us to make sure all of the arrangements worked (via telephone and email). However, we never met her (only another manager). I'm not too sure how that happened, but it didn't affect the experience. Also, I should add that we are not from Puerto Rico (we are from the Continental United States). Unfortunately, we could not include our pets in the ceremony, there is no pet rule :( So there was a lot good, some minor inconveniences. But this venue absolutely exceeded our expectations and that of our guests. 6 Stars on a 5 star scale! -

Unlike the other big resorts along the Island, this secluded resort about 40minutes from Ponce is intimate and perfect for weddings. It's absolutely beautiful and above all I am very happy about the service the wedding events department provided me.
I gave them quite a few challenges and my requests were all customized. They not only met each of my individual requests but exceeded in my expectations. They truly "found" a way to execute all my unique requests. Eva Tirado was an absolute doll and pleasure to work with. The General Manager was also very kind - indeed the entire staff was great! I choose the resort as my Ceremony AND reception venue place and they provided the entire "unique" package I required. My guests were all incredibly impressed as are my husband and I. The scenery is beautiful, the ambiance is great and the food was delicious.
We ran into bad weather conditions the day of the wedding and the Copa - professionally, swiftly and calmly arranged a beautiful plan B ceremony and cocktail area.
They have truly made my wedding memorable to us and all my guests. Eva and team... GRACIAS!!!!!

Responsive, responsible, respectful, professional, few bumps along the way due to Covid government and Hotel requirements, nothing that we could not workout, as any wedding might face, but at the end it was a dream come true. Would definitely do it again, thanks to the staff, specially Lourdes. Food, place, accommodations, everything was great. Everyone had an awesome time. I picked Copamarina because I was looking for a beautiful secluded tropical setting but did not want the commercialized feel. I had family coming in from all parts of the country along with family that lives in San Juan, PR as well. I wanted to bring everyone together for a family reunion weekend and knew if it the event was not out of San Juan they would have not come for the weekend and would have gone home after the wedding. in a sense we were "stuck" with each other for the weekend everyone had an amazing time. Service was on point. Rooms were clean and updated. Everyday we had an event planned.. Friday night was the rehearsal dinner which was held in the private Copa room next to the Alexandra restaurant. Saturday we went out to Gilligans island on the ferry and had a BBQ at night under the stars. Sunday was the wedding...It was magical..I am so glad i did it here. -

Giselle Sent on 12/04/2017Wow, this is an emotional review to write. I had my wedding at Copamarina on the 11th of November of this year. As everyone knows, Puerto Rico was devastated by a Cat. 4 hurricane at the end of September, destroying the island's electrical grid and supply system, and almost all communication channels on the island. I live in Texas, but I am from Puerto Rico and my family still lives there. So it is an understatement to say that the weeks following the hurricane have been the most emotionally intense of my life. I did not have news of my family for about a week, and did not hear anything from this hotel for about three weeks. There was no way of communicating and, to be honest, I thought we wouldn't be able to have our wedding at Copamarina. When we were finally able to communicate, thankfully, the hotel was still there, only suffering minor damages and no power. Before the hurricane, my communication with Leila, the hotel wedding coordinator, had been amazing. She was super responsive. However, because of the obvious limitations after the hurricane, it was very painful to communicate. Nonetheless, and despite all that, my wedding turned out beautiful. The team at Copamarina did an AMAZING job at cleaning up the hotel and they opened to the public about two weeks before my wedding. They were operating with generators, and everything looked as if nothing had happened. All my guests were very impressed with how the hotel looked. Most importantly, the wedding went without a hitch. The ceremony area was to die for, as were the cocktail and reception areas. Leila and her team made sure that my decorator had everything she needed and that everything was perfect, and even allowed us to use the Alexandra restaurant (which was closed) for dinner the night before. And the food was sooo good. This was an emotional roller coaster, but it was so worth it. I would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding and any other event.

Couples considering Copamarina for their wedding should proceed with caution. The hotel relies heavily on verbal communication and discourages written correspondence, which can create challenges when planning a wedding. Our experience demonstrates a consistent lack of accountability from both management and the owners for multiple mistakes made by their team.
Our wedding was affected by multiple operational failures: the premium bar ran out of alcohol by 10:00 pm, the menus (vegetarian and regular) were placed incorrectly, and upon departure, we were given another couple’s wedding cake. The hotel’s wedding manager, Crystal, then asked us to return to the property to deliver the cake to the correct couple.
Coordination by the hotel was poor. Wedding manager Crystal gave our decorator the wrong schedule for the Friday welcome party, and on Saturday morning, the day of our wedding, she called to ask whether the reception would be indoors or outdoors, despite this being planned months in advance.
Throughout the whole stay, the team appeared understaffed and disorganized. I had to step in to handle tasks that should have been managed by staff, including reminders about schedules and assisting the front desk with room blocks.
Most concerning: the owners did not take accountability. When I tried to address these concerns, the owner blocked all communication rather than resolve the issues (screenshots available).
A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Couples should expect an organized, reliable team. Based on our experience, Copamarina failed in multiple areas, leaving us with a day we had to manage ourselves rather than enjoy.
