The Coonamessett is a great option for dog-friendly hotel rooms or medium-to-large event spaces.
We rented the Double Queen Suite for a weekend for our bride and groom’s suite, as it was extremely well-lit and spacious enough for my eight groomsmen to get ready with me. It was a little surprising that a room with such a large common space would have two queen beds instead of a king bed, though. The staff, including housekeeping, did a great job making us feel like guests of honor all weekend long, with a bride and groom welcome setup and several refreshes of the room while we were away.
We were also able to book one of the dog-friendly rooms at the last minute, in which my mom stayed with our dog. There was lots of green space on and off the property for our dog to explore on walks.
The Coonamessett also hosted our morning-after-the-wedding buffet breakfast, which we coordinated through their special events team five months before the wedding. The food was pretty good, nothing special, but was a little on the pricier side (to be expected for a wedding-related event). Since they weren’t hosting a wedding on-site that weekend, we were able to use the entire ballroom space. A couple hotel guests wandered in and grabbed a plate before we informed them it was a private event. The Coonamessett even opened the bar for our guests (my niece and nephew said the espresso martinis were good!).

I cannot praise this venue enough. John helped us through the entire process. I was married in 2021 and I still have people come up to me to tell me that the food at our wedding was the best they ever had. Every once in a while we try to go back and eat at Eli's and reminisce.

From the very beginning, Dawn and Claire’s experience was evident through their clear communication, professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail. They met with us three times and were always available for phone calls to go over every aspect of the weekend—something I truly appreciated.

The bridesmaid got ready in the Lark Suite, which was beautiful and spacious for hair/makeup, followed by pictures with 5 bridesmaids.

We hosted our welcome drinks downstairs, and it was the perfect space—beautiful, inviting, and exactly what we envisioned. On the wedding day, Claire and Dawn seamlessly coordinated with our vendors and brought our vision to life, allowing us to enjoy the day with minimal stress.

Our reception couldn’t have been more perfect. We chose the gold reception (buffet-style), and guests are still raving about the food—from the raw bar to the carving station and all the other delicious options. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. The indoor space was elegant, and the outdoor patio added such a special touch.

If you're considering a Cape Cod wedding, I can't recommend the Coonamessett Inn highly enough—it was everything we hoped for and more.

Our October 2024 wedding at The Coonamessett was incredible!! The ballroom is so beautiful, airy and classic, which was one of the things that initially drew us to the venue. Dawn was wonderful to work with, and is excellent at her job. We had several in person meetings with her during the planning process and she answered all of our questions with ease. We got so many compliments from guests about how great the food was, how much they loved the space, and how beautiful the grounds were. We had the absolute best day!

The Coonamessett was the best! They plan all sorts of events, so they are super flexible with making YOUR best day happen. They have a number of food options, planned around a traditional plated meal, buffet, or food stations. We went with their "Golden Reception," which is their classic food station setup, and it was a hit with our guests! The food is fantastic, and there are plenty of options to choose from. Dawn and Claire (the planning team) are well-versed in every aspect of wedding planning and are incredibly helpful. They know a lot of vendors in the area for outside services, and they are able to help with any question you might have. They've literally seen it all. Also, they don't just think about the event, but the comfort of the bride and groom. They made sure my husband and I ate throughout the night, and literally packed up to-go bags of food for us and brought it to our room after! The reception space is large and versatile, and there are gorgeous tall windows offering lovely natural light and a beautiful view of the outside gardens and pond. Weather permitting, you also have use of the attached deck, which our guests loved as a gathering spot during cocktail hour and throughout the evening. I cannot recommend The Coonamessett enough - if you're looking to have your wedding in Falmouth, look no further!

My husband and I had 2 daughters get married this summer/fall 2024, 2 months apart. So I have a good point of comparison with the 2. The staff at the Coonamessett was above and beyond much easier to work with than the wedding venue in NH for our first daughter. Dawn was calm, well organized, on top of things and very helpful when there was a question about what options to do. She never rushed us and best of all, instead of making us move things out at the crack of dawn the next morning after celebrating into the evening, she gave us extra time to clean out the room after all of our out of town company had left. She was never too busy to respond to an email (again WAY different than the NH wedding) and she was always cheerful and optimistic. She never said no to anything we asked for! We did the stations for the dinner and everything went right on time and very smooth and the food was great. We got more compliments on the fantastic job on the wedding but I have to say that Dawn made it possible. We had 190 people and a live band and there was plenty of room to dance! Highly recommend!

The Coonamessett is incredible. We worked primarily with Dawn coordinating/planning our day. She made it SO easy for us to plan from out-of-state, and just put us at such ease throughout the whole process. Dawn was always making helpful suggestions and coordinating our last minute requests. She also facilitates the rehearsal and is there by your side the ENTIRE day/night for anything you need (seriously anything - I'm talking bringing you french fries right before you walk down the aisle level of service :) ).

On top of the exceptional service, the Inn is STUNNING. The Cape Cod room feels brand new, and has the most beautiful chairs/tables/etc that looked so classy. The ceremony spot was incredible, and the hydrangeas and other florals all around the property were amazing in photos. We luckily had nice weather and were able to have our cocktail hour out on the beautiful deck. At one point our band stopped to give a round of applause for the room, that's how beautiful it is.
Cherry on top - the food is amazing. We had a raw bar which our guests raved about, and the apps and our dinner buffet were so delicious as well. We stayed in the Lark Suite (highly recommend) which allowed us to have our own private room to do vows, relax between the ceremony/cocktail hour, change, etc and it was perfect, and as with everything else on the property absolutely stunning. Can't recommend this place enough!!

I loved the coonamesset from when I first saw it on my wedding tours! Dawn did a excellent job and she was so pleasant and nice to work with! We had our rehearsal dinner there the night before as well and it was great!

Dawn and her staff were amazing. The food was incredible and they did a beautiful job setting up all of the decor. The venue was flexible with our requests and was able to help us create a timeline of our reception as well as a floor plan that worked for our event. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and we received so many compliments on the gorgeous scenery!

My husband and I got married at the Coonamessett this June. The entire Coonamessett team went above and beyond to make our wedding dreams come true! Dawn was exceptional and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. We decided to hold our wedding ceremony on the beach, and Dawn and team helped with logistics of the ceremony although this was far outside of their responsibilities. Our guests were raving about the location and the food and hospitality. Highly recommend the Coonamessett for your wedding! We wish we could do it all over again.

My husband, our families, and I had an extremely positive experience working with John Norton, Executive Chef, and General Manager, and Dawn Copeland, Sales and Events Manager, at The Coonamessett for our April 2022 wedding. Once engaged, we reached out to Dawn via email to tour the venue and hear more about the logistics of having guests stay on the property for our wedding weekend. Summering in Falmouth, we already knew the food was exceptional from dining regularly at Eli’s Tavern.

During our tour in May 2021, Dawn’s easygoing personality and helpfulness quickly shined as she answered our many questions about date availability, the Cape Cod Room space and logistics, the Banquet Menu options, room block specifics and minimums, and their preferred vendor's list. She was informative during the in-person tour and over email for follow-up questions. We valued and appreciated her insight and guidance regarding what she observed worked well for her couples. We toured many other Cape Cod wedding venues and knew The Coonamessett was the perfect location and space for our special day. After coordinating dates with one of the local churches, we quickly booked The Coonamessett as our wedding venue. We loved the stunning views from the deck, the spaciousness for dancing, and how the bar was in the same room. The windows and decor created a romantic vibe that felt just right for us and we were excited to dive into the planning process. Dawn set us up on the online PlanningPod system, which is where our contract, floor plan, and invoice lived, as well as where we paid our deposits. We went with the Gold Reception Package over the Plated Dinner Package and our guests enjoyed the abundance and variety of food options. We were consistently told how good the food was. Chef Norton is extremely talented and went above and beyond to make our vision a reality.

My husband and I stayed in the Lark Suite for the weekend of our wedding and our bridal party and our parents stayed in the King Suites in the Village. The morning of the wedding, the girls got ready in the Double Queen Suite. This space was perfect for hair and makeup. We took pictures in the Lark Suite, which was stunning with the bay window and natural light coming in. My photographer was impressed with the space and very happy with how the pictures were coming out. Having loved ones and guests stay on site made it very convenient and stress-free for pictures and not worrying about transportation after the church.

From start to finish, John, Dawn, and the entire Coonamessett staff were exceptional. They made our experience extremely positive and looking back we would do it all again on their stunning property. If you are considering The Coonamessett as your wedding venue there is no need to look any further!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party in The Cape Cod Room at The Coonamessett. It was absolutely perfect! Dawn and her team set up half of the room for a sit down dinner for 44 people. The other side of the room had a collection of high cocktail tables that were utilized during the Welcome Party for ~135 people. The private bar worked out perfectly for our event. Could not recommend Coonamessett enough for a rehearsal dinner / welcome party combo!

We originally booked here in 2018 for 2020. We finally got to have our day in 2022 and it was PERFECT. The entire FOUR years. the staff at the Coonamesett treated us so well and helped us plan the perfect day. The food was incredible, the venue and grounds stunning, the staff amazing. If I could do it all again, I would. A true gem. Dawn & John (managers) went above and beyond for us. I am truly thankful.

We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to have our wedding at the Coonamessett. Dawn, John and Aryanne were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were so attentive, flexible, and fun throughout all of the wedding planning process. We (as a couple) had many different special requests and additions that the Cooney staff was able to honor to help make the day even more special. We got SO many compliments on the food, from the raw bar to the passed apps to the dinner itself - it was absolutely wonderful. We got married in late May, the ceremony site was beautiful this time of year, and their new chairs are gorgeous. The ceremony at the gazebo can be a little loud with the cards driving by, but otherwise we truly had no complaints and everything ran extremely smoothly. Would do it all over again in a second!

We had such an amazing wedding reception at The Coonamessett. The Lark Suite was perfect to get ready in for my four person bridal party. The space is absolutely beautiful and the food was phenomenal. Best food we have ever had at a wedding and all our guests were raving about it. Dawn and her staff made sure we had a fantastic time and I couldn’t recommend this venue more!

This venue has everything. We had our rehearsal dinner here, our wedding party, direct family, and ourselves stayed here, and we had our big day here! If you have a large amount of people staying over there is another hotel across the street for additional guests. The food is beyond amazing. All of our guests (us included) were amazed at the food options and taste. John and Dawn were amazing. They wete extremely flexible with us. My husband and I stayed in the Lark Suite which wss great beacise my girls and I could get ready here. There is a big beautiful bay window thay over looks the pond that was wonderful for pictures. There is also a bridal suite that you can get ready in. My husband and his guys actually hung out in there. I highly recommend this venue. We had a wonderful experience!

We had the most wonderful wedding weekend at the Coonamessett! Our winter wonderland vision came to life with the help of all the staff. It was cozy, fun, and exactly what we envisioned (not to mention the food was amazing). I would highly recommend the Coonamessett.

We had a great experience with The Coonamessett. Their staff went above and beyond for our big day. Our family and friends still talk about what a wonderful time they had and how great the food was at our wedding. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or event.

We are not sure if the character limit on this review will allow us to fully capture the amount of gratitude we have to Dawn, John & all of their staff at the Coonamessett for making our wedding weekend the dream we always hoped it would be. The entire process of planning our November 2021 wedding (originally scheduled for November 2020) could not have been made easier by this team. We booked in 2019 (with the old management, which, I’m not reviewing) and from the moment I called John to confirm our original contract I knew we were in good hands. When they tell you “just call me” they mean it, they’ll get back to you… even with the most ridiculous panicked questions while the world is in a state of unknown. If we knew back in 2019 what the last two years would be - we would do it all over again with Dawn and John. Having family & friends plan (and have awful experiences) with other venues in the area during the pandemic, we have felt nothing short of blessed to have chosen to have our wedding here.

We hosted our ceremony, reception and day after brunch with the Coonamessett & had a lot of guests stay on site. Nothing about the entire weekend was short of incredible - the food, the staff, the rooms… Dawn brought our dreams and vision to reality - truly above and beyond.

Dawn & John will always have a special place in our hearts for sticking through this process with us. The Coonamessett has always been special to us, but is even more so now. We will be planning trips back for years to come to visit our Coonamessett Family and to remember the best day of our lives.

If you are second guessing choosing this venue, don’t. Go visit them & I promise you’ll feel the love and magic they have to offer, too.

I am so happy we went with the Coonamesset for our small wedding this past Sept of 2021. Trying to book a wedding from out of town is really hard, but Dawn was so patient with all my questions and menu redo's! She was such an asset to me in the process! Not sure how i would have pulled it off without her expert advice. The Garden Room was perfect for our event. She even recommended the acoustic guitar player who was awesome. The food was perfect, the waitstaff was kind and helpful. The scenery was great for wedding pics. And the price was very reasonable. All in all, everyone had a lovely time and I would not have changed a thing. Don't hesitate to call and talk to Dawn. We plan to try to go back there every year for our anniversary if we can...have dinner and stay at the hotel. Such a special memory for us.

We LOVED our wedding at the Coonamessett! We had to reschedule once due to COVID, and it could not have been easier. We mostly worked with Dawn and she was so friendly, honest and accommodating. She was very responsive to my many questions by email and phone. The rest of the staff was also so kind and professional as well. We had a wedding of almost 200 people, and everyone was served in a timely manner. The food was EXCELLENT - from the appetizers to the main course (prime rib and chicken saltimbocca). The reception room itself is gorgeous and the view of the pond was so serene. The outdoor deck attached to the reception room was awesome as well. We received so many compliments from guests, and everyone had a great time. We would 100% recommend the Coonamessett!

As most couples with a 2020 wedding, we were extremely nervous about having to reschedule our wedding for 2021, especially because we live out of state, but the Coonamessett staff made is so easy. From choosing a new date to navigating state mandates and capacity limits, they were very knowledgeable and adaptable. We felt comfortable going ahead with a wedding reception (despite knowing how many guests we could have!) because of how they quickly they applied new protocols without sacrificing safety or the joyous atmosphere of a wedding. Even before COVID-19 changed our plans, Dawn and John were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning process, down to the day of when I (the bride) was using Dawn's office as a changing room! Dawn and John, and the entire staff who helped with set up, food service, and bartending, were on top of everything and highly professional, and it showed - our guests couldn't stop complimenting the food setup, service, atmosphere, and the beauty of the venue. One of our external vendors said that this was the nicest and most professional staff he has ever worked with in his long career - we agree! If you are looking for a venue with staff that will make you feel less anxious during a hectic, but exciting time, and will be flexible and listen to your ideas, this is the place for you! We highly recommend the Coonamessett and we would choose to have our reception there again if we had to do it all over.

Dawn and John have been amazing to work with from day 1 of planning. We fell in love with the beautiful indoor space of the Coonamessett to host our large wedding for 2020, however, we decided to postpone due to COVID. Dawn and John made planning a breeze for our microwedding in 2021. We switched up the menu to accommodate a smaller guest list for this year, and the food was amazing. The prime rib and seafood sampler got rave reviews. We have a large amount of vegan and vegetarian friends, and the dish that John put together was incredible and so filling (miso glazed mushroom scallops, grilled eggplant and sweet corn risotto). The space, organization, servers, and food were incredible. Everyone at the Coonamessett made our microwedding feel like a full on reception even though it was so small! Dawn and John were so wonderful to work with and made planning a breeze. We had a beautiful evening out on the deck for our microwedding, and we can't wait to have our large reception with them next year. My husband and I can't recommend the Coonamessett highly enough!

We absolutely loved our wedding at the Coonamessett. It was a great price compared to other venues in the area. The hard wood floor was also one of a kind - everywhere else we looked had old, dirty looking carpet. Truly the room doesn't even need decorations in order to look wedding ready with the big windows and chandeliers. We had our ceremony on site in front of the gazebo as well and it was beautiful. The food was delicious and everything went well. We would definitely choose the Coonamessett over and over again.

I cannot say enough good things about The Coonamessett. My mother-in-law worked with Dawn to create such a special experience for me and my wife. Dawn made our wedding absolutely unforgettable, going above and beyond with her kindness and professionalism. The Coonamessett was a dream venue - our family was able to stay at the Inn which created an unforgettable weekend for everyone. There were many family memories made at the breakfast table with their complimentary breakfast. The rooms were gorgeous and our photos came out so much better than we could have expected due to the beautiful decor and location. The food was fantastic and our bartender was so great. From start to finish, Dawn and The Coonamessett made our wedding day a dream come true. I highly recommend this venue.

This venue was amazing.

Ceremony site: the gazebo area is amazing. the pictures from the wedding are STUNNING between the well groomed grounds and the pretty lake/scenery in the background.

Reception room: we booked the garden room and had access to the patio area. it was perfect for us and we had so much fun. The room looks so nice when it is all done up for the wedding and is perfect for a smaller party. The larger ball room also looked amazing.

Food: AMAZING. get the chicken piccata as an entree- everyone RAVED about it and I will dream about it. it was seriously that good. But everything was amazing--the hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, and the post-brunch on Sunday. Delicious!! The bar was also great.

Staff: The staff members were incredible! Dawn was so easy to work with and the waitstaff were SO fun and attentive. They even danced with us during some of the songs, which everyone loved. The energy they brought definitely added a lot of joy and fun to the evening. All the while, we never were without an appetizer or drink in our hand. The same staff members also did our post brunch the next morning. the service was just incredible.

Hotel: excellent! such pretty grounds and the Lark Suite was PERFECT for us. it is a great space with an amazing bathroom (huge soaking tub) and a beautiful living area overlooking the pond. It was so fun having all of our family members staying in the cottages. We also loved being able to spot everyone walking the grounds and running out to meet them/chat. It was a great setup. The Lark Suite was also perfect for having the makeup and hair stylists work on the bridal parties.

Price: Incredible value. far cheaper than the places we were looking at in Boston, with 1000x the charm and service.

Overall: the day went seamlessly and I really didn't have to do anything the day of. I just relaxed and hung out with the bridal party. SO low stress and everything went seamlessly/as planned, which I feel like is unheard of, haha.

You will not be disappointed if you book the Coonamessett! Plus, your guests will love the area!

We cannot say enough about our wedding and the team at The Coonamessett. It is a wonderful venue and team to work with! We were scheduled for a late Spring wedding and then Covid happened. Dawn and the entire team were kind, gracious and extremely flexible in wanting to make our wedding special. We rescheduled the date to the Fall and everything that we had agreed on for our previous date was transferred to our "next" wedding date, except for the size of our reception. We had small gather of 24 people including us and it was absolutely perfect. They communicated frequently with us and they were very responsive! The venue itself is gorgeous and being able to have our reception on the deck was perfect! It was a perfect day. The food is fantastic and everyone was raving over the appetizers, the seafood and prime rib. John, Dawn and Trevor helped to make our mini-wedding unforgettable and such a special day.

The hotel was impeccably clean and well taken care of. Everyone was wearing masks and following the protocol and made sure that we felt comfortable too. The hotel rooms were spotless and beautiful inside, we stayed in the Lark Suite for 2 nights and our family that stayed in the hotel were equally impressed. We will definitely be back to enjoy their delicious food and hotel, we can't wait!

Our third BEAUTIFUL wedding at The Coonamessett on 10/30/2020! Our three children had their wedding receptions at The Conamessett. As mother of the groom, I am so grateful to John, Trevor and Dawn and all the staff for their exceptional service. Even with COVID-19 restrictions, it was amazing! Very professional and well done, but I have seen this many, many times through the years from The Coonamessett. The food was excellent and the service was warm and wonderful. Looking forward to many more celebrations at The Coonamessett! Thank you for a beautiful day!

I could not be more thankful for Dawn and all of the staff at the Coonamessett Inn. We thought we would have to cancel our wedding due to the pandemic and they helped us downsize. We ended up having the most BEAUTIFUL, intimate wedding with our closest family and friends. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect for our special day. I would highly recommend having your wedding at the Coonamessett Inn.

The Coonamessett Inn is an amazing place to have a wedding! Jim and Joanne are soo incredibly helpful in the planning process! The room was just remodeled over the winter of 2018, and is absolutely stunning! You cannot go wrong with having your reception here!

My husband and I were recently married at the Coonamessett and it was the most perfect day/weekend! We cannot thank Joanne and Jim enough. We have been going here for years - its beautiful, the food is AMAZING (which ppl continue to talk about for a long time after the wedding - its an important factor!), the staff is great. We got married at the gazebo outside, stayed in the couples cottage - which was perfect for my bridal party to get ready in the day of. Everyone is still raving about how wonderful everything was and that is in big part due to the Coonamessett. Who needs day of coordinators when you have this team to organize the whole day - Joanne calmed me down and helped me so much. The reception room is large and beautiful. You will not be disappointed!!

Everything at The Coonamessett Inn was wonderful!! From the easy planning to the day of the ceremony. The staff there is the best!!!

The Coonamessett Inn was THE BEST thing that happened to us for our New Year’s Eve wedding this past year. Originally, we were looking forward to a long engagement and a NYE 2017 wedding when we fell in love with the Coonamessett Inn. No other venue we looked at even compared. The massive windows, the tall ceilings with gorgeous chandeliers and an incredible view of the pond really made the venue magical. Unfortunately, NYE 2017 was already booked, but we loved the staff and the Coonamessett Inn so much, that we moved our wedding up an entire year so that we could still have a NYE wedding, but at the venue we couldn’t live without! The food is incredible. We even went there just for dinner throughout the wedding planning process, the food is so good! The staff is amazing. They were so accommodating on all of our requests and really knew how to make a wedding flow. On the big day, they were there with ANYTHING we needed – any questions or concerns they were there. Jim and his staff really made us feel comfortable and reduced stress levels throughout the whole process. The Inn itself had a great layout for our guests as well (highly conducive to an after-party!) We had all of the guesthouses for our guests and then were also able to use the hotel across the street, which really helps to cut down costs (no transportation!). If we had to have our wedding all over again, we would choose Coonamessett Inn every time because of how great an experience we had!!!

Professional, friendly and flexible

We had such a great experience with everyone at Coonamessett Inn. Jim & Jenna were great & couldn't do enough to help make your day be as special as it should be. They are all very relaxed, give you helpful suggestions, and helpful with managing cost. They were great with helping to plan a menu when there are dietary issues. Always helpful, no matter what question you might have, so very accomodating and a pleasure to work with. The day before the wedding they had us bring anything for the reception to them. That morning they couldn't do enough to help in the process. When we arrived after the wedding, they were right there to help with everything. I never had to think of anything, it was already done. Between the florist and the Coonamessett team, it looked beautiful. If I had to do it over again, it would be here!!

This was the ABSOLUTE perfect place for our wedding. We wanted a wedding that was easy and fun for everyone and that is exactly what we got. We had 200 people and everyone stayed either at the Coonamessett or the Holiday Inn next door. We had our rehearsal at the Flying Bridge and everyone in town met at Jack's bar (next door to the Coonamessett) the night before the wedding for a lot of FUN! The ceremony was held outside by the gazebo, we took pictures by the beautiful pond and we had the Gold reception in the room next to the gazebo. It was easy and fun for everyone. The food is the best we have ever had at a wedding and Jenna, Jim and Joanne made it all go perfectly. We used the list of the vendors they provided and they were all the best especially " You outta be in pictures" for photography, DJ Danny Walsh as the DJ and Casual Gourmet for our cake. Coonamessett is the best and they gave us the wedding our our dreams. We will be back to visit every year!!

Coonamessett was the perfect place for our wedding. The venue is beautiful with lots of windows and plenty of outdoor space. The food was great and one of the most reasonably priced places we checked out for a sit-down dinner. What was even more incredible was the day-of service from the staff. We had not hired a separate coordinator, but Joanne and the rest of the staff made sure that everything ran smoothly and that we, as the bride and groom, could enjoy the day. Thank you!

The Food is Amazing...but more importantly so are Jim, Jenna and the other staff members. They make it easy and make it special. They handle all requests promptly and I never felt like "just another bride" . They made everything so much better. We had rehersal dinner, Wedding Reception and Brunch all here for an entire weekend and the staff and food and everything was EXCELLENT!!! (And I am a complainer it seems...and I have not one for this venue!!)

I absolutely loved the Coonamessett Inn! The staff there made wedding planning easy and on the day of, they were so attentive and professional, I was really blown away. We had an absolutely magical day and we've been told over and over by our guests that ours was one of the best weddings they have ever been to! I would highly recommend this location to any bride and groom!

I can not say enough positive things about the Coonamessett Inn. The staff makes you feel so comfortable from beginning to end of the entire wedding planning process. They go above and beyond the actual day of the wedding. My family and friends also commented on how perfect the venue and staff are, and how DELICIOUS the food is. Yum! I highly recommend them for your wedding day!

I am so happy with our decision to have our wedding at the Coonamessett. Leading up to the wedding we had one "hiccup"- The vendor they work with for linens didn't have navy blue overlays- It was the end of the world, I know.... Luckily I was working with Brad and Jim and within 20 minutes we solved the crises :) Also as every other bride dreams of having sunny skies on their wedding day, I woke up to thunder and lightening. All morning the team and the Coonamessett worked with me and my stubbornness to wait until the very last minute to make the decision if the ceremony could still be held outside, and thankfully it was. No matter what there will be a few hiccups before and during the wedding, I am just glad we were at the Coonamessett and were lucky enough to have such a wonderful team working with us and helping us through the small hiccups!

The Coonamessett Inn was the perfect venue for our July wedding. Brad and Jim make the planning process effortless. They were attentive and always had time to answer my questions on the phone. Wedding weekend was a breeze. Joanna and the rest of the staff ensured that all of my DIY details were set up just how I wanted. My husband and I were constantly attended to making sure we had food and beverages. I am so thankful that we chose the Coonamessett Inn, because of their help, I would not change a single thing about my wedding day.

I LOVED the Coonamessett inn. They are fantastic! Everyone that works there is so nice and relaxed. They are so helpful with the whole planning process. Brad and Jim and great to work with and definitely know what they are doing. I felt so comfortable with all of them that I didn't have any worries on my wedding day. They dedicated one waitress to my husband and I for our reception just to make sure that we ate drank and took care of any needs that we had. The food was wonderful, our guests raved about it! They set up all of out favors, escort cards, centerpieces, etc. exactly as I had envisioned it. Everyone had a great time at our wedding and the best part was that everyone stayed the night there and we got to enjoy brunch there the next morning (which is unbelievable). Thank you to all of the staff you guys were great and made our wedding perfect!

We are beyond pleased with the way our wedding day turned out!! Everyone at the Coonamessett was so easy to work with, and timely in all things regarding the wedding. A big thank you to to Brad, who somehow managed our unruly bridal party and family by getting us through the rehersal dinner. He was efficent and helpful the day of the wedding, and always around if we needed him. We had Joanna (waitress) who was specifically assigned to me and my husband on the day of. She was so helpful- from bringing us drinks, to bustling my dress, to giving me a quick pep talk before walking down the aisle.

All of our family is from out of state, so this venue was perfect for us. They have 29 rooms there, and all of our family basically booked those rooms. It was less stressful and much more fun to have everything- ceremony, reception, and accomadations all in one place. I cannot begin to tell you how many of our guests complimented the venue- how beautiful it was, how good the food was, and how helpful the staff was. I would highly, highly recommend!!!!

f you are looking for a unique venue for your Cape Cod wedding, the Coonamessett is the place! Part of our heart lives in Cape Cod, so we knew when we decided to get married that we HAD to have it somewhere down the Cape. After looking at a dozen or so of the main Cape Cod wedding venues, we were starting to change our mind because of how impersonal all of them seemed for their very large price tags. The second we laid eyes on the gorgeous ballroom and beautiful natural landscape of the Coonamessett inn, which is nestled right on Jones Pond, we were in LOVE. While the decor is still very distinctly New England/Cape Cod, it is done with lots of character and elegance. One of the 2 other most important features of a venue to us, after it being located on Cape Cod was that it feature an indoor and outdoor space for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. We quickly learned that most venues with this feature were at least TWICE the price of venues that only featured one or the other. The Coonamessett has a ballroom that fits 200 guests comfortably, a large dance floor, a huge wraparound porch for guests to lounge, as well as several outdoor gardens and patio areas, so that nobody in our large crowd felt crowded, without the added price tag. The second most important feature to us was that the food be excellent and there be a big variety of it for all of our guest's tastes and we did NOT want a sit down menu. We chose the gold reception menu at the Coonamessett and we are still hearing feedback from our guests that the food was the best they have EVER had at a wedding. Throughtout our whole perfect wedding, guests were able to mingle, sip drinks, nibble on passed horsd'orves and stop at the pasta station, the carving station, the stir fry station, the raw bar, and the garde magner station (a gorgeous artful display of cold bites) and later in the evening, the dessert table. Our other huge dilemma when searching for a wedding venue down the Cape was not only the huge price tag of the venues themselves, but also their inflexibility of how our special day would go and their insistence that we ONLY use their preferred vendors for the other details of the day (DJ, florist, photographer, etc). As a couple that was both on a tight budget, and that wanted to put an artistic personal stamp on every detail of the day, we knew these other places were not for us. At the Coonamessett, we did not have a problem with this at all. They let us take over the entire space the day of the wedding and the two wedding coordinators not only helped with, but embraced all of my DIY table runners, centerpieces, bouquets, favors and cupcakes. I was also able to bring in a non-traditional DJ, who spins at some of our favorite dance nights here in Boston and one of the huge highlights of the night- the Photobooth! The coordinators quietly on hand the entire day to make sure all of the elements that were so important to us ran smoothly and we also had a private waiter whose sole job the entire day was to make sure the bride and groom had a drink in our hand, food in our bellies and that we were able to break away from our guests enough to get all of the fun artistic photos done. Overall, our wedding was more than a dream come true and it couldn't have happened if it weren't for the Coonamessett Inn.

I can not say enough positive things about this venue. First and foremost, the function room is gorgeous - huge windows that overlook the lake on the property, with a hardwood stand-alone bar, and tables and chairs that are perfect and classy in their simplicity. Many of our guests stayed on the Coonamessett property, in the the cottages that ring the grounds - it was so much fun to feel we had a "family compound", and it was the perfect picturesque Cape Cod atmosphere.

But more so than the asthetics of the place, it was the service that really set them apart. From our first meeting with Jim to the wedding day itself, we received first class treatment. We negotiated with them on the menu and price of their Gold Reception, settling on a cheaper price-per-head in exchange for losing some of the pricier menu items, but didn't lose an ounce of atmosphere or respect in the process (one of the risks you run when negotiating downward is a loss of service, but that was not at all the case with them!!). On the day itself, there was a staff person (Betsy) whose sole responsibility was keeping the two of us happy. The first class treatment started with drinks and hors d'oeuvres brought to us as we were taking pictures, and continued with plates made to our taste at the reception. The personal attention lasted the entire night, up to and including performing magic with safety pins when my bustle broke (needless to say, my seamstress will not be reviewed glowingly on here!). Clearly not in Betsy's job description, but when she saw that I was upset, she was back in barely two minutes to pin me up. Anytime we looked even the slightest bit perturbed, she reacted instantly. A second example: when my husband's chowder sat untouched (a product of nerves and overstimulation), Betsy first asked if everything was okay, then offered to refresh or remove the "offending" chowder (which, of course, everyone else had given rave reviews!). We felt incredibly well-supported throughout the entire evening.

The food was delicious; we have received SO many compliments! The Gold Reception was very varied and provided tons of options, even the pickiest eater would be satisfied. As with everything else, no service touch was left undone - they even put out little "to go" boxes for our leftover cake!

As a note to the cost-conscious: if you schedule your wedding before "the season" (i.e., before May), the room rental is FREE (a HUGE cost saving!). As I mentioned, they also worked with us on menu pricing (which, at $55 a head for the Gold Reception, was already VERY reasonable compared to the ridiculousness that's out there for wedding food). All in all, we feel we got an absolute steal, without any compromise on quality or value (seriously, we spent the week after the wedding asking how we managed to "get away with it").

We went with the Coonamessett initially because of their attractive packages, the "all in one" service they provided - planning a wedding from a distance, we didn't want to have to mess with chair rentals and all those kinds of nitty-grittys, we wanted to walk into the full package - and the "wow" factor of the function room. On the day itself, they completely overwhelmed our expectations, and I could not recommend them highly enough.

We had a wonderful wedding and reception at the Coonamessett! We had heard such wonderful reviews from people who had either had weddings there or attendedweddings, so we knew we'd experience a great day. All of the coordinators- Jim, Brad, and Ruthann- were professional, affable, and very helpful. We had no worries that day because they had a lot of experience under their belt. The gazeebo was perfect for our short wedding, though there is some road noise. Make sure your officiant is miked; ours wasn't and some people in the back couldn't hear her. (She also didn't project enough.) The reception was set up exactly as we had talked about and the stations were wonderful and our guests ate their fill! Betty, one of the waitstaff, attended to our every need and made sure we ate and had food waiting on the table for us. She even helped my mom to bustle the dress! Everyone raved about the setting and every aspect of the reception. We stayed at the inn and the rooms had a lot of Cape Cod charm and character and many guests stayed right there with us to continue the celebration. The only thing I might change is to add another hour to our reception since the 5 hours of our ceremony and reception flew by! I hope to go back to enjoy someone else's wedding there!

Everything at the Coonamessett was perfect for our reception. Brad was our planner and he was great! The room was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and the food was fantastic. We looked at many venues all over the Cape, this was very reasonably priced.

The Coonamessett was the perfect spot for a Cape Cod wedding. The views are unbelievable, the food great, the service spectacular, and the function directors handled everything with ease and professionalism. I did not have to worry about a thing! (Which is how it should be!) Everyone who stayed there fell in love! I highly recommend it!

If you are thinking of a Cape Cod wedding think no further than the quaint and charming Coonamessett Inn. Brad and Jim were our wedding planners and when I say they are the best - they are the best. When our JP didn't show, they swiftly sprang into action and we were married a short while later. They made everything flow smoothly and the food - AMAZING!!! You will not have anything to worry about havng your wedding here. The gazebo was the perfect spot over looking the pond for the ceremony and the banquet room with 360 degrees of panoramic views brings the outside in! I cannot say enough about our wonderful experience!

We wanted a Cape Cod style wedding and the Coonamessett Inn was perfect! The food was wonderful and the service was great all of the people there were so good to us and all of our guests!

Words cannot describe how wonderful this venue was. They had the place decorated for Christmas, fire place was lit; it was magical. Our wedding coordinator, Owen, was fantastic. I highly recommend this place for a wedding. It looks like it is out of your price range, but it really isn't. Check them out! I couldn't rave about them more.

The Coonamessett Inn is a great place to have your wedding. They made mine a very special evening for us. They were very attentive to detail and were very easy to work with through the whole process. The food was excellent as well.

My husband and I had the most beautiful wedding at the Coonamessett Inn! I still look at pictures on a monthly basis and think about how lucky we were to get married there! Joanne is the best coordinator- she is so relaxed and accommodates you in any way. We left thinking, “wow is planning a wedding really this easy?!” I think the pricing was extremely fair compared to other venues on Cape Cod and the food was excellent. We still have family and friends talking about the endless amount of food (we chose the buffet). We were even able to include our Golden Retriever in this special day where many other venues would never allow that. I’m telling you we can’t say enough good things- book this venue if you want amazing service, a beautiful view and great food.

We couldn’t have been happier with our reception at Coonamessett! The entire property - the grounds, accommodations and dining rooms - were fantastic and superbly managed. My family truly enjoyed their stay, the food was unbelievable, and the staff and service even better.

Jim, Brad and Dave were great! I certainly appreciated their tolerance of all my phone calls and specific questions on banquet food and service (at the time, I was working in the same industry). Our reception went so smoothly and our guests are still raving about the food and service that day.

My only hang-up is that we struggled to get a menu tasting, and eventually never got one. With nearly 200 guests in attendance, I was really surprised and still disappointed that this isn’t a standard offering. We ended up dining there a handful of times over the course of a year to try out the food (and we don’t live on the Cape!). It would have been nice to at least receive a tasting.

Regardless, it’s a perfect spot for anyone looking for a tried and true Cape Cod wedding reception.

The Coonamessett really is a one-of-a-kind venue. The main ballroom is absolutely fantastic, the hotel rooms are cozy, and the location is excellent! We originally saw the inn while I was on a work trip and we knew right away that it was the spot where we wanted to celebrate our wedding.

My daughter’s wedding at the Coonamessett Inn was beautiful. It took place in October of 2020. Even during COVID we were able to celebrate wonderfully. The staff was absolutely great! Friendly, accommodating, and seemed to be as excited about the wedding as we were. The accommodations as well as the venue itself have an understated elegance. And the food was nothing short of AMAZING!! We had both the rehearsal dinner and wedding there and the food for both events was beyond expectation.

Absolutely wonderful. I couldn't speak more highly of this place. Our wedding went off without a hitch, everything was beautiful and delicious. Joanne was best! Friends and family are still raving about the wedding!

don't stress too much about all the little details.. the day of your wedding, none of that will matter. that special day goes by faster then you think. i highly suggest you get a video of you wedding. afterward everything is such a blur.. drinking or not.. there is just so much going on, time for the toast, time to eat, time to cut the cake, time for your dance, time to toss the bouquet.. it was so nice to see the video bc there was a lot that i missed at the wedding that they caught on tape. pick your wedding party carefully!!! wedding horror stories always begin with the wedding party messing things up.. try not to lose sleep over it, everything will be great!!! i promise!..
