Best dj ever!
Cool Receptions' DJ- Special K DJ'd our wedding and we had the BEST time!! All of our friends and family kept saying "WE LOVE THIS DJ!" This company is very professional. We were able to discuss songs we wanted played, but for the most part they just had a really good idea of what to play to keep the guests on the dance floor. We also used their uplighting and it was worth every penny! It really transformed our reception room and our wedding videos look awesome! I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a fun DJ that knows how to play what the people want to hear! Special THANKS to Special K for making our wedding night SO MUCH FUN!!

We used Cool Receptions for our 2-day wedding that included a Ghanaian traditional ceremony and a white wedding and they did a fantastic job. David nailed the vibe we were going for on both days and did a great job of improvising as well. The crowd was LIT on the dance floor! Highly recommend!

Amazing dj diesel + special effects!
DJ Diesel was the most amazing DJ we could have ever imagined!!! We had a dry wedding reception yet, everyone was on the dance floor and DJ Diesel kept the party going the whole time!! He was the best DJ we could have hoped for. We highly recommend him. Also, Cool Receptions provided the most amazing special effects to enhance our day. All of our guests were amazed and still talking about how spectacular it was!

The reception of the year!!!!
Cool Receptions is the best! From the beginning David, the owner, was soooo professional and fun! We requested our college DJ, DJ Diesel and we were LIT! The cold sparks added such a beautiful touch to the first dance! We recommend!!

From the 1st conversation with David/DJ Paradime, I knew we were in good hands. Always responsive and very personable. We use their DJ services, photo booth, and smoke machine and everything was AMAZINGGGG!!! The photo booth was a major hit and the attendant was on point! We almost forgot we had the photobooth because DJ Lil Vegas kept us on the dance floor, like literally all night, until it was time to get out! His MC kept the party lit, the dance floor was NEVER empty. The smoke clouds added that personal romance for our first dance. The perfect ceremony, cocktail hour and reception!
Our daughter and new son-in-law’s wedding day was made extra special because of the DJ/music. The ceremony had 3 different songs, one of which was a recording of the bride singing! It was flawless! The DJ introduced the couple and the speakers at the beginning of the reception. Everyone enjoyed the first dances and the music/dancing in the Barn throughout the evening! The lines of communication were always open. They were quick to answer questions. The equipment was moved to 3 different locations with no hiccups. Highly recommend this company!

Everyone loved the DJ
It took me forever to find a DJ. I started looking on IG and cam across Cool Receptions. From there, I reached out to schedule our consultation and book them for the wedding. They had to travel to the OBX, so we greatly appreciated that. There was only one mix up, but it was only something my husband and I would know. Then for the reception DJ Paradime killed it. Everyone was on the dance floor for the night. Our friends loved him and had a blast.

We helped decorate my friends 40th birthday. We ordered a 4 and 0 to sit next to a balloon display. The numbers were delivered and set right up on time and quickly. It was such a great addition to the display. 100% recommend this company and product!

The absolute best experience
We had the absolute best wedding thanks to Cool Receptions!! They knew exactly when to play what music and knew what we liked and kept in the genre. Their commentary during the wedding kept everyone on the dance floor having the BEST time, even got my dad in the middle of the dance circle. We loved every second of working with Cool Receptions and you NEED to book them right now!! Best decision we made!! We also used them for our Photo Booth and everyone loved that as well!

Great to work with!
Cool Receptions DJ was great to work with. They were in touch with us throughout the process, making sure they had everything they need from us and were responsive to all our questions as well. They worked well with our day of planner to make sure everything ran smoothly throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception. They provide all their own equipment and microphones, and moved from area to the next with ease. We had three different set ups during our wedding and I wasn’t stressed at all that all of them were covered. Everyone had a great time on the dance floor and they really made sure to get to know us and the music we liked, making the whole night feel very personal.

DJ Trellz and Cool Receptions are the BEST
We hired Cool Receptions for our wedding and it was an absolutely great decision, and we would highly recommend them to anyone! They were able to accommodate us when we postponed once due to covid, and then deal with us when the nightmare scenario of me actually getting covid four days before the rescheduled date and having to postpone again. When we called in a panic at having to reschedule again, they were so reassuring and kind and instantly told us they would take care of us and inquired about my health and whether my fiancé was doing okay, which was so appreciated. Then, I forgot to actually confirm the rescheduled date with them since I thought I had mentioned it but had not, and only informed them of the actual new date a week out- OOPS. I was so worried that we were going to not have a DJ because of my mistake but they instantly told us that they would make it work, and DJ Trellz actually ended up flying to NC from Atlanta the morning of our wedding to be able to be there for us! They are truly super dedicated to their clients and I'm so, so grateful for them. On top of that, Trellz is an absolutely fantastic DJ and got the exact vibe that got our guests dancing, and many guests said that he was their favorite part of the night! Thank you Trellz!! Hire them!

Let's Dance!
We are so happy we hired Cool Receptions for our wedding celebration!! When we met, I told DJ Paradime for my wedding, I wanted to dance! He delivered! We hired Cool Receptions for our February wedding and they knocked it out of the park!! I found them through Instagram and just loved the energy that they brought to their events! They have multiple Djs and do an EXCELLENT job pairing you up with someone for your event! We worked with Dj Diesel and he was FANTASTIC!! He kept the energy up and was such a great MC. My husband and I are from different cultures and our DJ did such a great job of playing music for both our cultures! They were so quick to respond and easy to work with! The absolute BEST!!
Hiring Cool Receptions was the best decision I made for my wedding reception. I knew as soon as I started wedding planning, I wanted our reception to be unforgettable and keep everyone on the dance floor all night. During our first call, David understood my vision and was probably more excited for my reception than I was lol. Working with Cool Receptions was great because they provided packages that included everything I needed for my reception. Cool Reception provided my photo booth, cold sparklers, uplighting, sound system and DJ. The cold sparklers was a great addition to our grand entrance and to the reception. Our photobooth was a great addition as well, our guests loved the single photo print outs they received that came in color or black and white. I also loved receiving the digital photos from the photo booth, to see all of my guests having a great time.
Picking a DJ for my reception was easy because each DJ had their own profile and I could see and listen to their previous receptions. I selected DJ Lil Vegas and Lynx and they were the absolute best, they really set the tone and vibe for my reception. Vegas created a playlist for my cocktail hour and the whole reception that my guest loved and were literally asking for the playlist at the end of the reception. Lynx kept my guest's energy high and had them ready to dance.
I highly recommend Cool Receptions to anyone, they are the best investment for any reception or party.

We booked Cool Receptions for our October 2021 wedding. It was so easy to work with Dj Paradime throughout the entire process. He was easy to communicate with, available, and transparent. every single track was a banger! from the mellow music used during dinner to the hype music making everyone sweat DJ paradime and DJ Sunny were keeping the night flowing and going. Absolutely Incredible!
If there was one thing in my wedding that I am glad I really took my time deciding on it would easily be the DJ. I was referred to Cool Receptions from another DJ who was unavailable and my gosh I am SO happy we went with them. I have been to so many weddings where the DJ was the after thought and it truly showed. At these weddings the music was just "insert playlist here" and go. As far as "mixing songs" its hit this cheesy sound to turn one song into another. Cool receptions is the exact opposite. Cool receptions is managed my David (DJ Paradime). He is extremely professional and easy to work with in creating the best music and vibe for the wedding. David understood our vision with how we wanted the music to truly set the tone for each part of the wedding. He was always responsive and eager to speak with us to make the day as special and as personal as it could be.
There are several DJs who work for Cool Receptions and while they all looked fantastic and each had their own specialties, we ultimately chose DJ Josh Price for the wedding event. He had the task of mixing our favorite genres all together for our wedding reception: EDM, 90s hip hop, 90s dance pop, old school temptations, 00's pop, and current hip hop and he FREAKING NAILED IT. The entire night he was mixing beats that literally had my husband and I looking over to the DJ table in disbelief at how good he was incorporating all the songs we loved the most. Everyone was coming up to us saying "where the heck did you find this DJ hes awesome." DJ Josh truly played to his audience and got all of our wedding guests up on the dance floor. My husband and I have already said that as soon as we find out where hes playing in a public venue again we are going... he was that good.
Cool receptions is very reasonably priced for the packages that they provide and all that is included in those packages. If you want a DJ who just plays the same typical songs over and over, go with someone else. BUT if you want a DJ who will truly create an entire playlist based on the songs you love most and actively engage with all of your wedding guests to get them out on the dance floor- go with Cool Receptions. I am so thankful I did!
Thank you David and Josh for setting the right feel for my wedding and making sure all of us had a good time! I'm so sad its over and I am trying to come up with some other excuse to have a big party and book you guys again.

Cool receptions lives up to the claim of NC’s Best DJ’s! Very professional and easy to work with! Great sound quality on the provided mics, sparkle coordination with our photographer, and music selection had everyone out of their seats! Flexible and wonderful!
I was soo excited to have Cool Receptions DJ my wedding!!!... but then COVID struck, and we had to drastically decrease the guest count and move it outside. A DJ in that situation didn't make sense to me, but Cool Receptions said no problem, we can stream it!! I was so happy to have friends and family from around the country be able to watch my wedding and join us- they said they could hear and see clearly, and thoroughly enjoyed it. After the wedding, the guys e-mailed me the video of it, and the transcript from the chat! This year will definitely go down in history as having some of the most interesting weddings, and the most flexible vendors- thank you, Cool Receptions, for going with the flow and helping to make my wedding a success!!

Cool Receptions and DJ Trellz did an absolutely incredible job during our Wedding day. Our guests said it was some of the most fun they've ever had at a wedding reception. David and the team at Cool Receptions were great to work with while scheduling, and seamlessly set up all the equipment necessary for the ceremony, reception, and phot booth. DJ Trellz kept everyone on the dance floor all night and perfectly coordinated the day as our MC. Can't say enough great things about DJ Trellz and the team at Cool Receptions. Strongly recommend!

I recently worked along Cool Receptions at a Wedding and when the Dj got everyone up and moving, no one sat down again. He was interactive with the guests and really kept the party lively and fun. I had one guest tell me at the end of the night that he hadn't danced that much in years and that night he got to let it all out. Memories were definitely made. I look forward to working with Cool receptions more in the future.

The dance floor was wild all night, literally all night!!
We hired DJ Paradime for our wedding on September 27 and can not recommend him enough!! The entire reception was perfect and exactly how we described our vision to him. He truly listened to our likes and dislikes when it came to music choices -- from dinner music to the dance floor. The dance floor was wild all night, literally all night!! Our guests can not stop talking about how fun our wedding was and we owe it to DJ Paradime for doing such an amazing job keeping everyone (from our friends to our family) dancing, having a great time, and keeping the party going all night!!

I can not say enough wonderful things about DJ B-Man and Cool Receptions. DJ B-Man has us on the dance floor the entire night for my wedding. From the ceremony music, cocktail hour, and dinner music set the tone for a delightful evening. I had the fog machine during my first dance with my husband and it was so sweet. He read the crowd and kept us hopping all night. I would through an event just to have him DJ. DJ Paradime was an excellent communicator and I was very confident about the contract and execution. You would be crazy not to rock with them! Thank you so much for making our day a blast!

Amazing DJ Experience!
We were so happy with how our daughter's wedding celebration turned out, and DJ Paradime was a huge part of the success of the party! He paid attention to the music tastes of the newlyweds, and was great at reading the crowd (20-somethings to 60-somethings!) and playing songs that everyone wanted to hear. And the feedback from everyone was consistent..."best party, best time!" Totally professional, friendly, fun, and top notch DJ! We would recommend him for any party or event!

Best DJ Ever!
DJ Diesel of Cool Receptions is hands down the best DJ in North Carolina. I found Diesel while at a dance club in Chapel Hill and told my then fiancé we need him to DJ our wedding (06/20/20). We have all been to weddings where to the DJ has been subpar, right? Diesel curated his music for our wedding reception based upon our input. At our wedding, Diesel check and adjusted the music based the reaction of the guests. Diesel reads a crowd really well and is an awesome hype man! Our wedding guests could not stop complimenting Diesel on his DJing talents. One of my groomsmen is even considering canceling his already booked wedding DJ for Diesel.
David from Cool Receptions worked with my wife and I during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure our wedding reception was perfect. David is a top notch professional and is very flexible when it comes to problem solving. My wife and I highly recommend David and DJ Diesel of Cool Receptions with five stars for any other booking. Cool Receptions will be my first choice for any future DJing opportunities.

From the first day I contacted Cool Receptions, they were friendly, VERY helpful (first wedding so needed assistance!), professional and just down to earth. They have some great packages and deals as well! We got DJ Special K and he had lots of energy, smiled the whole time and kept everyone dancing! He also kept to our schedule that we sent him. If we ever have a large party again - we'll likely have them come back out!! This is one vendor I had absolutely ZERO issues with on communication, pricing or anything else.

DJ Diesel was very prompt and without us giving him any suggestions other than R&B he kept the party going with great music the whole night. Even when I asked him to pay a particular song request, he play the song with a personal shout out.
The photo booth was a huge hit. We were up in the air about doing it, but it turned out to be a huge hit with the guest. Each guest was able to get an on the spot photo as well as have the photo sent to their cell phones via text.
Will definitely be using him for all future parties.

If you’re considering a wedding DJ, look no further than Cool Receptions!!
They made our wedding SO much fun! We opted for a DJ at our rehearsal dinner as well as the big day, and included the photo booth for the reception. All three were decisions were perfect!
The rehearsal dinner was low stress because I didn’t need to worry about cueing speeches and dinner, and they had us dancing even before the wedding! The lighting they brought was also beautiful.
For the wedding day itself, Cool Receptions had us send in a list of songs beforehand. They followed all of our requests and exceeded all of my expectations! Each song was better than the next, and we danced for hours!
I would recommend the photobooth, too – your guests automatically get pictures to take home, and the bride/groom get a digital copy of ALL of them! It was so great to have additional photos to look through. My husband and I (of course) took some photos that I just love. I even printed them out and they are hanging on the wall next to the professional ones!
Lastly, they are so relaxed and easy to work with, which is always a huge plus for the stressed-out bride. Can’t recommend these guys enough!!

DJ - Photobooth Magic!
If you are looking for a professional, prompt and fun DJ package Cool Receptions is the vendor you need. Josh Price was our DJ and he literally did not miss a beat! Evey queue we gave and request we made he was on top of it. All of the music that was played catered to the young and old family and friends. I don't think we had a moment where no one was dancing or using the photobooth. If you are having doubts about if a photobooth is worth it or not, IT IS. So many fun memories to look back on and my family had a blast. We could not have asked for a better experience. THANK YOU!

Listen to me. BOOK Cool Receptions! DJ Paradime was so easy and flexible to work with. He responded to all of our questions and concerns about our wedding. DJ Trellz was the DJ for our day & it was LIT! He was the talk of our wedding! Each groomsmen & bridesmaid had a different song to come out to during the introductions - and they were spot on! The transitions were perfect, no stop and play. My husband and I chose to come out to 5 different songs, we also had our first dance during this. & it was PERFECT! We provided where to stop and play each song and DJ Trellz had it down to the T! He had our friends and family on the dance floor the entire night. I had never hired a DJ before. I didn’t know the questions to ask or the price to pay. And although I still don’t know how much to pay, our wedding was a blast! We were lucky enough to have B Man referred to us by our venue 8.2.0. He is their resident DJ and they insisted that he was the best in Charlotte. They were 100% right! B Man totally understood that we did not want a typical wedding DJ. He brought his unique personality and talent and had a great energy. He kept everyone on the dance floor and played all of the old school hip hop and R&B we requested. He was mixing and keeping the party going all night. His transitions were smooth and he knew when to go to the next song. My husband is a DJ so he was very selective about finding a DJ who would mix on the spot and really read the crowd. B Man definitely did that and exceeded all of our expectations. We didn't want to give him too much direction or too many restrictions but he made sure to follow our "do not play" list and give us the vibe we wanted. Our guests are still raving about our wedding music and many have said it was the best music they've heard at a wedding. We absolutely agree! Thank you B Man!!!

Amazing!!!
Cool receptions was amazing to work with. They were on time, efficient, and the DJ kept the reception going for hours! The sound was amazing, the DJ was amazing, everything was so unforgettable.

Dance Party Wedding!
DJ Diesel was amazing! We really wanted our wedding to feel like a dance party without upsetting the older crowd. We provided a list of songs that we liked so he would get a feel for the type of music we wanted. He had people on the dance floor ALL night even the "elders" LOL! We loved watching his instagram videos the next day to see how much fun everyone was having. All of our guests told us they had the best time at our wedding and it would not have been the same without DJ Diesel! Thank you!!

Cool Receptions provided the entertainment, up lighting and photo booth for our August 2018 wedding! It was everything we could have imagined and more! DJ B-Man had the dance floor packed all night!! Before the wedding, we gave a sample list of songs that we liked and B-Man ran with it from there! We had guests ranging in age from 5-85 years old and there was something for everyone!!! He knew exactly what to play and when to play it. My husband and I had so much fun at our wedding and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had!!! Book them— you will not be disappointed!!!

Mario ( Aka DJ Complex ) was amazing !! He was easy to work with and very professional. He played amazing music that everyone enjoyed. I gave him some suggestions of what type of music I like and he was able to build a play list that was memorable and taylored to my liking. He was able to take some requests ( we set up a secret hand signal that I could give him if I did not like the song, I used my signal once and he was able to fade out the current song and start a new one and nobody even noticed .) He was on time and dressed professionally. His set up was done neatly and his equipment was organized ( not a ton to stray cords). He helped make our day the wedding I always dreamed of .

We had the pleasure of working with DJ Mario (DJ Complex) for our wedding ceremony and reception. Mario was very responsive and he even provided recommendation for songs if we couldn't think of a song. He did an awesome job! Everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is in need of a DJ.

Cool Receptions was hands down one of the best choices we made! From the moment we contacted them to the last song of our wedding night, cool receptions was amazing to work with. They provided both DJ services and a photo booth! Their photo booth created GIF’s and was definitely a hot spot of the night. They also provided props that everyone loved! DJ Paradime made sure the party was non-stop all night! We were able to provide him with an idea of what we wanted and boy did he deliver. His ability to blend and mix songs was amazing! We still get told how great our DJ was! We would highly recommend choosing Cool Receptions and DJ Paradime for your next event! They will not disappoint!

The DJs at Cool Receptions are top notch! If you want your reception to be a guaranteed party, hire Cool Receptions. The planning process was simple and easy. Other than making our selections for the ceremony & first dances, we sent them a handful (5-6) of representative songs we like and they had our guests on the dance floor all night! We literally had people asking for the playlists!

Our reception was excellent! Everyone had a great time from beginning to end. Our DJ, Brandon, checked in with us just before our entrance to the reception to make sure all our requests were fulfilled. Not only was the music on point, but he was able to make some on the spot changes to the reception order of events without a hitch. Thank you for making our special day fun, exciting, and overall amazing!

DJ Trellz was an excellent asset to our wedding reception! We gave him our vision and he was able to bring it to light! From old school to new school he definitely had a variety of both and kept the dance floor packed until the very end! He was very receptive and easy to work with! My wife and I couldn’t have chosen a better DJ! Cool Receptions did an amazing job with keeping the night exciting and guest running to the dance floor. In addition to the music, they provided a photo booth with props. This turned out to be a very fun and great form of entertainment to have. If you want your guest to have a great time dancing the night away, having fun at the photo booth, or just jamming to whatever tunes you desire then do yourself a favor and get Cool Receptions to DJ your party. I’ve known DJ Diesel for a few years now. We went to college together & I knew whenever that time comes for me and my husband I would pick him. I am so happy we did pick him. He had people up and dancing including my father and father in law. Diesel not only doing my reception music but my ceremony as well & he basically was apart of making all my visions I had come true.

We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Cool Receptions! The owner David was down to earth and easy to work with. He immediately addressed any questions or concerns we had. We had B-Man as our DJ and he was AMAZING! Super nice and professional. All our guests were immediately on the dance floor and had an absolute blast. I would highly recommend them!

Cool Receptions is INCREDIBLE! They responded promptly when I contacted them at the last minute (few days before the wedding) about adding their service to our wedding. DJ Weatherman was the most interactive DJ I have ever seen and worked with. He made sure that me and the groom had everything we wanted in terms of the music flow. He was not afraid to come from behind the dj booth and I appreciated that.

Hi David, I absolutely loved the music you played at the wedding and all my friends loved it as well! We appreciated that you stuck to the timeline of the night and were very friendly. The only thing that I would like to comment on is that I feel that the film for the photobooth ran out very early on in the night. My friends commented that they were very impressed with the quality of the photobooth pictures, just wish we had more!
