I can't say enough good things about the Convention Center. Our manager, Jessica, went above and beyond to make my dreams a reality. We had so many decor options to choose from that were included in the cost of the room. I am still receiving compliments on how good the food was. We had a lot of unique requests and they never hesitated to make it happen. I loved the big space and how it truly is a white canvas. I would recommend to ANY bride in Sioux Falls. The dance floor was so nice and big, which I absolutely loved. I wish I could relive this day over and over. We served creamy gouda chicken, tuscan tortellini, and red wine steak medallions. We also had the kids buffet, which they let us bring out later during the dance (all our drunken friends really appreciated it). Only complaint was a grumpy bartender, in which everyone just went to the other bartender who was much nicer.

The convention center was already booked when we checked them out. We ended up finding another location but still needed to find catering. We decided to use their services as they provided place settings, servers, bartenders and bar, EVERYTHING. It was such a relief to not have to individually find every small piece of the puzzle. Their staff was attentive and asked throughout the night if everything was going well. I would highly recommend them, AND if you get the buffet the Tuscan Chicken Tortellini is AMAZING!

I wanted to give a shout out to the Sioux Falls Convention Center staff, and especially our event manager Katie Murphy, who really helped to make our wedding reception a wonderful evening, and a beautiful time to remember forever...The venue itself was perfect for our initial estimated count of 280+, their chefs went out of their way to try to customize a partly Indian /fusion menu for our Indian themed wedding (a daunting task in South Dakota) and when they were not able to perfectly create all the items I had requested (and I honestly would not expect someone who is not familiar with the cuisine to be able to, it would be like me cooking French cuisine without ever having eaten or seen it cooked before) they were so flexible as to allow us to hire the local Indian restaurant to cater the items we needed, and the Convention Center chefs prepared the American food and a few Indian items which they cooked very well. (to my surprise and delight)
Their bar was a really fun addition to the reception. They also were able to accommodate kids' tables/menus and were flexible with these as we were not even sure till the very last minute as to numbers.
Overall, they were really professional, very responsive to my emails and requests, and their prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend for any larger wedding/reception.

The Convention Center was a perfect venue for my wedding. I love that you can choose the room and they can accommodate as many people as you need. I loved the decorations that they have to choose from but I also used some of my own. The people were so easy to work with and they did a great job of setting up and taking down. The food was amazing but my guests still talk about the ice sculpture!

Jessica was a great coordinator! She would help us in every way and answer any questions we had. Jessica would go out of her way to make anything work for us. Great place to have our reception, very beautiful! We are still getting compliments from our wedding and it was 2 months ago! Thank you again for all your work and efforts to help us make our day perfect!

We had a wonderful experience working with the Convention Center! Alison was great and super helpful and responded to my questions right away. They set up and took everything down for us which saved a lot of time and stress! It was definitely a great value, they have everything there to use so we didn't have to worry about renting a bunch of items. All of our guests had a great time! I would recommend the Convention Center to everyone!

We were recently married and had our reception at the Sioux Falls Convention Center about a week ago for roughly 250+ people.

Our coordinator, Jessica, was absolutely AMAZING! She worked with us from day 1 about a year ago in planning for our big day. She was so easy to get a hold of and very responsive in a timely matter when we had requests or questions. She was so willing to meet anytime we needed to chat, and was so flexible with her schedule to meet more than just a few times, and change plans around to make things perfect.

Jessica not only remembered every little detail that I had mentioned in planning the layout of the room and food/drink/ decorations, but she executed it so perfectly that everything ran so smoothly that day.

We received numerous compliments on how amazing the chicken tortellini and glazed pork were. The late night pretzel buffet was to DIE for, and popular with all the guests. Everyone is still raving about the food a week later!

We were fortunate to be able to get into the reception site the day before to set up decorations and flowers and our very own candy bar. Jessica was there to meet us at the door and stuck around in case we had questions or needed anything that day. Jessica was also right there to meet us on Saturday afternoon to make sure everything was in placed like we had planned, and she stayed well into the night to make sure things were running smoothly.

I would strongly recommend the convention center to anyone--it was so convenient; they set all the tables/linens/layout of the room and also take care of the clean up work. Everyone was simply amazing, and our day could not have been more perfect :)

The ballroom was set up beautifully and exactly how we were hoping it would look. It was everything we wanted for our special day!

Worth every penny! The event planners are very professional and make sure every detail is attended to. The staff exceeded all of our expectations! They were there to help with anything that we needed with above and beyond service. The food was also delicious and they worked with us to fit our budget. We were 100% satisfied with our experience!

We loved working with the Convention Center and their staff- the event turned out beautifully and they were patient and helpful throughout the entire process. We had lots of compliments on the space, the good food, the quality of the sound. The best part was that they made things easy for me as the bride- you have enough to keep track of that day, so I was relieved that once we got the party to the convention center, I could trust that it would be smooth sailing from there and indeed it was. Would highly recommend them for any bride!

I had an amazing experience working with Jessica and Sarah from the convention center event planning staff. They were prompt to return my emails and phone calls. I did not have any stressful moments while working with them to plan my reception. I have heard nothing but great comments about the room and the food. I would recommend the convention center to anyone trying to figure out where to plan their wedding reception.

The convention center was amazing to work with! They worked with our budget and everything leading up to and the day of couldn't of gone better! Our event manager Allison was also amazing!! She helped us so much and was very accommodating to our wants and needs!! We are so thankful we were able to work with such amazing people on our wedding day!

My wedding was beyond perfect! Everything about the reception was better than I would of ever thought! The months leading up to our wedding, I had a picture of what I wanted my reception to look like and everyone at the convention Center made it better than I could ever imagine. I can honestly say we LOVED everything about that night! The people serving our food were very efficient and friendly and our friends and family were all saying how good the food was. Everyone is STILL talking about the limo driving into the reception!

Working with Jen and Sarah was beyond great. I don't think I can say it enough on how much we LOVED everything about that night and Thank you once again everyone at the Convention Center for making our wedding absolutely perfect for both of us! We will be recommending the Convention Center to others!!!

We had our reception at The Sioux Falls Convention Center. Everything was so perfect. I planned a last minute wedding, and was so worried that it would not work out good. The staff at the convention center went above and beyond my expectations. I would say the price is better than most would think. They give you great options-from less expensive up. You can pretty much have it all. The food was amazing-my guests really appreciated that the adults had a separate buffet from the children. The day was perfect and I would not have changed a thing.

My wedding was BEYOND amazing and I could not encourage anyone more to have their wedding here! Great food, service, friendly employees and a beautiful facility! Thank you for making my special day just that more special!!!!!!

Could not be more pleased with the service and quality of the convention center! They provided us with our own event coordinator, Allison, who made sure everything went very smoothly. She was very accessible and made sure we thought of all the necessary details prior to the big day. After my meeting with her prior to the wedding, I felt very comfortable with everything--other wedding day decisions made me more stressed! When it came to the week of the event, everything I thought of or stressed over, I could contact Allison about and she simply took care of it/figured out solutions to the problems for me. This venue is well worth the money due to the convenience and great service! We had plenty of space in our room, it was set up wonderfully, and we got to drive our limo into the room which our guests thought was very cool!

We had our reception at the Convention Center in Ballroom B and it was AMAZING!! I was planning the wedding from out of state and was a little nervous about how I was going to plan such a large event from so far away. From the beginning Jill, the Sales Manager, communicated with me through email, answering my emails promptly with detailed explanations. A few months after booking our original room we decided that it may not be spacious enough and inquired to Jill about reserving Ballroom B instead. The Convention Center was very flexible and assisted us in changing the room and never made us feel like any of our requests were a hassle. When you reserve your reception at the Convention Center an Event Manager is assigned to assist you in planning all the details of your reception at the CC. I went through two Event Managers (both took positions outside of the CC during my year of planning) and was worried when I was assigned a new Event Manager two months before the wedding, but Jessica ended up being AWESOME! All the Event Managers were great to work with, answering my emails promptly and being very detailed in their explanations. I asked many, many questions and none of them made me feel like I was being bothersome or asking dumb questions. Jessica far exceeded my expectations as she assisted me in planning everything through email. She answered my emails usually the same day and went out of her way to help build an up lighting package and various other customized packages to fit exactly what we wanted and even coordinated a crazy entrance for the bridal party! It was so convenient that Jessica and the CC were flexible in allowing me to do everything through email because I didn’t have to worry about returning phone calls or making time to try and call Jessica during the day. I didn’t even meet Jessica in person until the day before the wedding when we dropped off our centerpieces! We were invited to a complimentary taste testing event to sample the food we could choose for our reception, but since we couldn't make it on that date the CC allowed my parents to go for us. Even though they weren’t the actual bride and groom, the CC staff did not treat them any differently which allowed them to have a great time and give us some good feedback on the food. The food at our reception was buffet style and was amazing! We had many, many compliments about how good it was. Chicken was one of our entrees and I was worried that it would be dry because of the large amount being prepared, but it was tender and juicy! The top sirloin was my favorite and was better than I had imagined! All the food was so good, I wish I had been able to eat more. The set up was beautiful also. I told Jessica that I wanted a romantic, intimate feel for the room and she definitely made it happen with great lighting, candles and classy looking linens and chair covers. I can’t stress enough the in-awe and amazing feeling I had upon entering the room to see our reception set up even more beautiful and elegant than I had imagined, the CC did such an amazing job! Ballroom B was a great space as it had high ceilings that made it feel spacious and even had its own set of public restrooms so guests did not have to leave the room. The CC has great relations with the vendors we chose which made it easy because Jessica was able to coordinate with them on what time/where they would be setting up their items. The CC showed the utmost professionalism throughout the planning process and the night of the event. I am so grateful we chose them because everything turned out perfect! If you are looking for a reception venue the CC is a great choice, they are a little more on the expensive side for an average budget, but they are worth every penny!

Our wedding at the Sioux falls convention center was everything we were wanting! The staff is very helpful in every step of the process and very patient with questions and ideas. They take care of what seemed like everything! Set up and take down, and although you have to go with their catering, the food was delicious! A perfect evening all around.

Alright everyone, hold onto to your hats cause the Sioux Falls CC is gonna Blow. You. Away. Where do I even start? First off, bring your fat pants because the food is out of this world! If I got paid everytime someone complimented the food that night, Bill Gates would be my pool boy. But that's the best part! You don't need to be rich to book a wedding here! Prices were lower for the rental deposit, bar minimums, and the price per plate than most of the places we looked at. Could you even want more? Yes! Because you deserve it! And the Sioux Falls CC delivers. Other places always say oh, well, you better book fast otherwise someone might take the room blah blah blah. Not at the Convention Center! They can host not one. Not two. Not three. But Four weddings receptions at once!! What!!!! That's right, 4! (number may or may not be four) That means you can sleep on your decision and not worry about someone swooping in and stealing your dream girl's dream venue. Speaking of dreams, you can't dream of a better looking set up them these gals got. The only thing more beautiful than those reception halls will be your bride. And what's a wedding without some fun? So guests want to be drunk as a skunk? That's cool! No one has to drink and drive anywhere cause boom! Two quality hotels within walking distance. Did I mention the free puppy? Okay, you caught me. There is no puppy! But you will be so happy you picked the Sioux Falls CC you won't even notice.

The staff at the convention center is wonderful and very easy to work with. Jen and Sarah answered all of my emails very promptly. The cost may seem steep but it was definitely worth it. They did all of the set up and tear down, I didn't have to do anything the day of the wedding which was wonderful. I also am still receiving compliments on the food and dessert.

My husband and I are so grateful we chose the SFCC for our wedding venue! It was perfect and they were great to work with :)

Our wedding reception was wonderful thanks to the Convention Center. They were so accommodating and truly wanted to make our day special. We also had many compliments on the food. Everything was great. We would recommend the Convention Center to anyone looking for a stress-free event- they really do take care of everything for you!

The Convention Center staff helped us have a memorable and enjoyable Wedding, Reception and Dance. Everyone was very professional. Jessica was our coordinator and fulfilled everything that Sara sold us in our contract and then some. They were very flexible with our requests and were on stand-by the day of the event to assist with forgotten details, etc. The only regret we have is that the day went by too fast! We would highly recommend this venue to other brides and grooms.

Allison was amazing and so willing to help and change things last minute and she was always available even when I popped in without an appointment! The room set up was nice with so many different options. Be sure to attend the free food tasting for we were disappointed with the flavor of the items we chose. Overall it was a great venue!

The SFCC did an absolutely amazing job helping organize and plan our wedding reception venue...it turned out to be incredible! Better than we could have ever hoped for! Definitely exceeded our expectations, and certainly make it a night we will never forget! The SFCC staff was very prompt with email responses, phone calls, and personal meetings that accommodated our schedule. They did a fantastic job coordinating with our other venues such as DJ, flowers etc as well as many helpful suggestions to make our night so special! I would recommend the SFCC to anyone and everyone. A special thanks to Jen and Sarah for their help!

The convention center was the perfect location for our wedding reception! There was plenty of room for all of our guests, our food was fabulous and it was great having a hotel so close by for our guests to stay. Sara was a huge help with planning and made sure everything ran smoothly. I would recommend the SCC to everyone!

Overall, my groom and I loved our experience at the SFCC. Out of all the vendors we toured in Sioux Falls, they were the ones with the most "together" packages. We never felt nickel-and-dimed. The team at SFCC knows weddings and is ready to pull them off like a well-oiled machine.

Our coordinator, Jen, was great on The Big Day. Very helpful and flexible when we wanted to change the layout of the entrance to the reception. She also allowed use of her office for printing some last minute ceremony changes. Great service.

The food was awesome, and notably so. Unsolicited, at more than one event following our wedding, our guests were discussing how great our wedding meal was. Pretty impressive. There was also a tasting put on by SFCC earlier in the year to let us taste a wide variety of meals offered – not just the ones we thought we'd want.

Flexibility was great. They didn't bat an eye when we requested vegan meals for our persnickety guests, an unusual ceremony set up, or reception layout changes the night before. Quite the contrary – they encouraged us to make changes and get what we wanted. Also, the service staff blended into the event and made everything run seamlessly.

Only a few small things to knock: the wallpaper was torn and looked pretty rough on one side of our ceremony space. That is not something we saw when we first toured. Also, responsiveness from the chef in regard to special dietary meals took a long time, but when he delivered the meals on our wedding day, they were over-the-top awesome. Lastly, there was miscommunication on what to do with our wedding cake at the end of the night, and it ended up getting thrown away. Sad.

All said, we would without question recommend the SFCC for your wedding. They are professionals and will take care of you on your most important day.

The convention center did an excellent job with our reception for the wedding. My coordinator, Jessica, was very helpful and always went above and beyond.

The convention center was great but the Sheraton hotel was not very accommodating. Would not recommend booking with the Sheraton! Go across to the Ramada!

They were great to work with and everything on our wedding was perfect thanks to all the staff there! Stephanie Ovall was wonderful to work with!

The bartender was very rude! event manager at first was hard to get ahold of but after we got in contact she was very accommodating and friendly! She was open to change and had no problems with the massive amounts of changes I had! The food was well worth the money and they were so professional with the presentation and clean up! I would say the only problem I had was with the bartender she was extremely rude and trying to shut it down way before our quoted time.

The convention center was a good place for my reception however they had an event going on at the premier center the same night and it was hectic for my guests to get in the building, use the restrooms, and park. The food was overpriced, it was good but not foe what you have to pay for it. If I had to choose again I would not have picked the convenation center.
