We hired a solo violinist to play for my wedding ceremony. She was incredibly talented and helped make my wedding ceremony perfect. Her beautiful rendition of A Thousand Years brought tears to my husbands eyes as I prepared to walk down the isle. Even better then I could have imagined! -

From the start, Barbara was helpful, friendly, and passionate about what she does. She asked us lots of questions about what we wanted, offered tons of suggestions, and in the end helped us to choose the perfect duo and songs for our ceremony music. The musicians are very reasonably priced and the music was beautiful and well worth it! -

I worked with Barbara from Continue Music after we had met at a Vendor Event at the Waterview. She was an absolute pleasure to speak with and I am so incredibly happy to have met her!! The live string trio I hired elevated my wedding tenfold and was an absolute talk of the wedding!!!! I have some pretty random song requests and they worked with me so well and accommodated me! They were so incredible and talented! I would 10/10 suggest working with them, it’s pretty well priced and I would suggest them to anyone!!! -

We hired a violin-guitar duet from Continuo for our wedding prelude and ceremony, and are so happy we did! The impact of having live musicians instead of a recording was incredible. Our wedding was in a fairly remote location in NYS, but Barbara (the owner) was extremely accommodating and charged a very reasonable travel fee to send the musicians I requested from CT. I unfortunately was "hidden away" for much of the musicians' playing time, but our guests said everything was wonderful. We highly recommend Continuo! -

Barbara was super knowledgable in determining what songs would be best during the ceremony. She also kept me on task too, which was helpful in wedding planning. The musicians were terrific during both ceremony and cocktail hour. -

I was looking for a string quartet for my wedding and decided on continuo. I am a trained classical musician and really wanted the class of live music just for the ceremony of my wedding. So the first thing I tell them are the exact three pieces I want, two were standard quartet literature, but one, that my husband chose, was from a movie he really liked. I even found a link for them the order the string quartet arrangement for this piece. They say “yeah, definitely” I sign the contract, deal is done. Right? No because two weeks before my wedding date they email me saying they can’t get the music and I’m just going to have to settle for something else. My husband was the one to pay for the music and he didn’t even get the piece he chose! It only got worse. They show up to our venue the day of and I had them agree in emails that they would play outside so everyone there could hear the music (outside ceremony). The day of they REFUSE the play outside and play inside, facing the ceremony, with closed windows and doors. I couldn’t even hear them myself. I understand string instruments are temperature sensitive, but I wouldn’t have hired them is I knew they were going to be divi about their instruments. Then, after they play my ceremony and no one can hear them, the have the nerve to start picking at my dessert bar before any guests have even had dinner! No one asked me, just started loading their plates. My wedding was honestly amazing, but I could have saved a lot of time and money by not hiring them. THIS is the reason why classical musicians don’t get jobs.
