A literal dream come true

The Knowlton Mansion is a breathtaking venue, and the staff of Conroy Catering are unmatched. Our event coordinator, Rebecca, was incredibly wonderful and efficient, and helped produce an absolute dream of a wedding. Our main attendant Dani was SUPERB. She always made sure we had food and drinks at hand, she made sure we wanted for nothing, and she was so upbeat the entire time. Every server and attendant was professional, kind, prompt, efficient - I cannot recommend them enough. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Fantastic coordination

The team at Conroy Catering is amazing. They are all-stars. From day one at booking up until and through the day of, they were exceptional. Super friendly, and super organized. My day of coordinator, Chris, kept everything running smoothly and efficiently. My bridal attendant, Dee, was fantastic. She made sure I had food and drink at all times and was so positive and bubbly. The women I spoke with during booking always responded back in a timely matter and kept me informed of everything going on. Truly a fantastic set of people.

Hidden gem

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding at Knowlton Mansion in July 2021. The staff at Conroy helped make our wedding truly something to remember. While our wedding was small and intimate, our guests are still talking about it weeks later.

I full heartedly recommend Conroy catering at Knowlton Mansion, and wish to share the following from our recent experience.

Atmosphere:
—Open home: We really wanted our guests to be able to wander and not feel locked into a ballroom. Our guests enjoyed the ability to explore the historic rooms. It helped the day feel personal. Like we were celebrating in a home. The historic rooms also offer a great place to get ready.
—While the mansion is historic, the attached ballroom is modern with all the conveniences of a modern world—-AC (the historic rooms have AC too, great for summer wedding), generous bathrooms for guests (no lines or porte-potties here folks), kitchen on-site, etc.
—The ballroom has a lot of sunlights and windows to create an amazing naturalistic and bright space—perfect alternative for an outdoor loving couple forced by weather to stay indoors. We lucked out and had ours outdoors, but it meant a lot to know we had a Plan B that would be memorable too.

Covid Safety:
—Our wedding was originally planned May 2020. During the past year, there has been a lot of stress, but none of it came from our wedding planning with Conroy. They worked so hard to accommodate us and keep our guests safe. When we rescheduled from 2020 to 2021, they worked with us. They also offered a variety of Covid safety measures: staff wearing masks, reducing shared plates at food stations, outdoor/indoor space, improving air circulation through open doors, outdoor tents, etc.
They took it seriously, and we trusted them. With a guest list that included several elderly and vulnerable guests, including the groom himself, this trust was not something lightly given. But at every step, they demonstrated that safety was a priority. In the end, our 40 person event had no covid cases, thankfully.

Accommodations
—Our guests and bridal party had several health issues that they accommodated with great aplomb. Handicapped ramp and bathrooms. Space was easily accessible for guests with mobility issues.
—Groom has bad back, they allowed us to keep specialty ice pack in kitchen fridge and groom was able to lie down on chase upstairs when needed.
—Dietary needs—This is the BIGGEST thing that brought use to Conroy and that we will sing praises about until the day we die. Groom has celiacs and other dietary needs that required a gluten-free, fish free meal plan. It wasn’t just the groom. When all was done, each table had a gluten-free eater. Special care was taken to make the food default gluten free. While there was some gluten food about, it was clearly marked and all entries, appetizers, and even the cake was gluten free. My god the CAKE! Best gluten free cake ever. Cake was made by a pastry chef who works at a gluten free bakery. Amazing! For any couple with diet issues, know that Conroy will work with you.

In short, when we started planning we felt overwhelmed and concerned about having a safe space that could accommodate the physical and dietary needs of our guests. Not only did they help address those needs, they made planning the wedding so smooth. And on our special day, Rebecca (our day of manager) made everything go smoothly. She dealt with issues we didn’t even know we had. In the end our day passed like a dream. It all happened so quickly, but it was such an amazing experience, and Conroy is there to help make it happen.

Excellent! Professional and detail oriented

Conroy catering facilitated our wedding and we could not have been more impressed. Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. They handled every detail for us and they were there every step of the way from the contact signing to the end of our wedding. We got married during the pandemic and regulations were changing daily. Actually up to the the day before our wedding! It was stressful and uncertain for months but the staff at conroy were there to update us and give us news even it it wasn’t what we wanted to hear. They modified and restructured things up to the last day to make sure that we could have our perfect wedding. We couldn’t have been more grateful. I can only imagine what an amazing job they do during normal times. I would recommend them to anyone looking to plan an event. Big or small.

My husband and I fell in love with Knowlton Mansion from our first visit and our wedding there was absolutely perfect. Everyone we dealt with was responsive and fantastic. We worked with Lori through the planning process and she made it such an easy and nice experience. Eileen, our day of coordinator, and Dee, our wedding day attendant were incredible as well. Eileen made sure everything was set up exactly how we had pictured it and Dee was incredibly attentive during the wedding, making sure we had anything we could want.

Our wedding was gorgeous and exactly what we pictured, all of the guests commented on how unique the venue was and how delicious all of the food was. That, combined with the great staff who worked with us to make our wedding perfect truly made this a perfect day. I'd recommend Knowlton Mansion to anyone looking for a magical, unique venue for their wedding.

My husband and I had looked at dozens of venues before stumbling upon Knowlton Mansion through a message board discussing local venues, and it was the best thing that could have happened to us. After our initial visit, we knew immediately that this was the perfect venue.
Everyone we encountered through Knowlton and Conroy Catering were extremely professional, helpful, and accommodating. Lori was our rep throughout the booking process up until the day of. She was readily available to answer any questions and was extremely knowledgeable of not only Knowlton weddings, but any wedding process.
We chose a December wedding, which meant that the mansion was decorated with wreaths, garlands, trees, and other holiday decor. It really added to the space and made it that much more special. The history of the venue and all of the details throughout the mansion really added an amazing character that you really can't get in a typical wedding hall-type venue.
From the catering aspect, we chose the stations option, which was, in my opinion, the best option. Our guests loved having so many options to choose from for their meals and made the night go so much faster in terms of the flow of events. Everyone absolutely loved the food options and were amazed at the attentiveness of the entire staff. We also chose a cupcake tier instead of the normal wedding cake, and it was a huge hit.
On the day of the wedding, we had two staff members assigned to us, a maitre de and a coordinator. Our maitre de was Dee, and she did such a great job making sure that we had everything we needed throughout the day. Our coordinator was Jeannie. She was so amazing and accommodating for anything we needed throughout the night. She made sure that everything was taken care of exactly how we planned it. She and Dee were amazing coordinating with our vendors and made our evening absolutely perfect!
My husband and I would 100% recommend recommend Knowlton Mansion and Conroy Catering for any event!

I got married at Knowlton Mansion on October 18th and could not say nicer things about Conroy Catering! The venue itself is stunning - we got so many compliments on the uniqueness of the mansion and ballroom. We chose to do wine tasting in the wine cellar, which was a great touch! Conroy was fantastic to work with. Every member of their staff was so friendly and helpful. They made sure my husband and I got to enjoy the wedding and fulfilled every request and more. We are still getting compliments on the food, especially the cocktail hour. Seriously, I could not have asked for a better caterer!

The entire team at Conroy Catering were so accomodating both before and during the wedding reception. They made the planning process a breeze and the wedding day perfect. We got married at the Knowlton Mansion on 6/21. It was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this venue for so many reasons.
- the decor is fabulous (rustic/vintage/horses/Victorian mansion)
- the ballroom is unique as well, very high (3 story?) wooden ceilings, original stone walls. gorgeous.
- the staff are so courteous and were prompt in their replies
- they were also incredibly flexible and accommodating
- the food is AMAZING!

We were beyond happy with our wedding at Knowlton Mansion. The staff is phenomenal. The sales consultant Lori is very sweet and happy to answer any questions. Our event managers were Eileen, Maureen, & Dee, and they all kept the show going and were so attentive to making sure our family members and we all got to try food. We were impressed that Knowlton takes the time to set up ceremony sites outside & inside if the weather is iffy that day. Also, the day before our wedding there was a thunderstorm that knocked down many trees. Knowlton had landscapers out at 6:30 am on our wedding day fixing everything! The staff was also kind enough to set up our pictures, guestbook, etc. and then to package everything up at the end of the night.

We had the bronze package, and our guests are still raving about the made-from-scratch food! They loved the butlered appetizers and their entrees. We had a tough crowd of Main Line foodies, & they were all beyond impressed. My husband and I tried all the appetizers, & we were so full in time for dinner!

We chose Knowlton as our venue because we figured if we had bad weather on our wedding day, it is still a beautiful venue on the inside. We lucked out with the perfect summer day, and it was absolutely gorgeous! Our guests loved hanging by the fire pit and on the porches outside and enjoyed exploring the mansion. Everything is so pretty that you do not need to do much with decor.

We found the staff at Conroy reasonable and down-to-earth. Their packages are so clear as to what’s included, and having the venue and caterer the same company definitely made things for us! All wedding venues/caterers are expensive, but compared to other venues charging the same price, we felt like we got an exceptional value with the good food, the beautiful venue, and the staff. The staff understands that you are paying them a lot of money and wants to make your day perfect for you. We are so happy!

My husband and I got Married at Knowlton Mansion on May 31 2013. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. Our Consultant was Maria Amezola. She was the sweetest, most calming person we had met throughout the entire process of looking for a venue. She was one if the main reasons we chose to have our wedding at Knowlton Mansion. She made us feel safe and welcome. Like we were family and like she had a genuine interest in every aspect of our wedding. She was very organized and guided through the process of planning a wedding. The service was impeccable and every one of our guests commented on how delicious the food was. We were so happy that we chose Knowlton for a wedding. I always hear horror stories of how something disastrous happened of someone's wedding day...well, that did not apply to us! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and all thanks to the masterminds at Conroy Catering and Knowlton Mansion!

I would highly recommend Conroy Catering for any wedding. My husband and I had our wedding at the Glen Foerd Mansion, and Conroy catered our event. In a word, the food was exceptional. We chose the “Bronze” package, which was their least expensive package, and we were very satisfied. The butlered hors d'oeuvres and the bruschetta bar were absolutely amazing! These were definitely our favorites.

For their meals, our guests had the choice of chicken, eggplant, or salmon (there were other options in the Bronze package, as well), and all of the meals were delicious. We chose a red velvet cake, and that was a great choice too.

My husband has some prior experience working with a catering company, and he was very happy with the smoothness of how things unfolded with all of our different vendors (DJ, photo booth attendant, photographers). They worked very well together. Conroy Catering ensured that all of the vendors worked very cohesively together which made it almost seem as if all the different vendors were a part of Conroy Catering.

The wait staff and bridal attendant were very personable and took very good care of us. We could not have been happier with choosing Conroy Catering!

My husband and I were married on July 4th at the Glen Foerd Mansion, and if I could do it all over again I would! Conroy catering was absolutely fabulous during our wedding planning journey. Maria was our catering consultant and she went above and beyond for us in every way. They helped plan our day down to each and every intricate detail. The food is unparalleled to any wedding I have ever attended. If the mansion does not speak for itself in its beauty, the food will lure you in at each and every bite! Absolutely amazing! Conroy provided not only the catering for my wedding, but owns the venue, the Knowlton Mansion, where my reception was held. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. They assist you in every detail leading up to the wedding and are on-point the day of the wedding. Ok, I probably drove Lori from Conroy Catering crazy with all of the emailed questions I sent for a year straight. She's amazing, and took my crazy like a champ. We got married at Knowlton Mansion, and it is and was absolutely gorgeous. You have free reign of the entire property when you get married there, so guests can spend any time before and during your ceremony and reception looking around. There is a really cool looking wine cellar that is amazing for pictures, and horse stables with three horses. The food was awesome, and the staff were all really helpful. The best part about Knowlton, though, is that it is so beautiful, you don't have to do much in the way of decorating. We kept our flowers really simple, and Knowlton puts out really pretty candles and lanterns all around the space. We are so happy we picked this space to get married in!

Our reception was at Knowlton Mansion in August 2013. We could not be happier with how everything turned out. Maria was amazing with all of the planning and details leading up to the wedding. She sent helpful reminders when we needed to provide info or final decisions. Very very responsive and helpful. Accommodated tweaks we wanted and really helped us customize the reception to what we wanted. For the week of and day of coordination, Eileen was amazing as well. We dropped off items to be set up and everything was arranged as we wanted it and had described. All the wait staff made sure that I and the Mr. ate and were able to enjoy the food and drinks we'd so carefully thought through. At the end of the night, the staff had everything broken down and boxed up for us before the bridal party could even turn around. Outstanding service, incredible food. We did the espresso bar which was a great treat to accompany dessert. Not to mention that Knowlton and the grounds themselves were gorgeous in the summertime.

Conroy Catering provided my wedding with some of the most delicious food I've every tasted! All of my guests commented on how amazing everything was from the appetizers, to the salad, to the main courses and cake. We also had such a great time at the private food tasting that we had for our wedding. Knowlton Mansion had a beautiful setup for our tasting and the chef even came out to ask us if we had any questions or if we wanted any of the food prepared differently.

Maria at Conroy Caterers was so helpful during the entire process and she answered all of our questions and made us feel taken care of. Thank you Conroy for our amazing wedding at Glen Foerd Mansion!

My husband and I got married at the Glen Foerd Mansion in July, and were extremely pleased to have chosen Conroy Catering as our caterers.

We chose a promotional package that included valet parking, food, alcohol, the cake and staff for a fixed price per guest. Our package had fewer choices than some of the others Conroy offered, but that worked for us as it made it easier to pick dishes and to track our costs as our guest count changed.

Maria, our main point of contact at Conroy, was wonderful to work with. She was always on top of things, was incredibly nice and wonderfully patient. Since my husband and I live in London, we ended up communicating with her mostly over email, and she was always very responsive.

We had both our ceremony and reception at Glen Foerd, and Maria also acted as the event planner for the entire day. She worked with us on things like where we wanted the ceremony held, how and when the toasts were conducted, and how we would be introduced. We also had a practice run-through with another Conroy staffer a few days before the wedding to go through how we would walk down the aisle and how the introductions would take place. Those kinds of things seem simple enough but doing it beforehand allowed us to work out a few kinks before the actual day.

The day of the wedding went without a hitch and the staff were fantastic. By the time we arrived, everything in the dining room had already been set up. We cousin and I made the floral centerpieces and the staff took charge of putting them on the tables. The event manager was great and kept things moving along on time. The young woman assigned to take care of me and my husband was so nice and always made sure we had something to drink and if we needed anything she got it for us. Our guests all raved about the food and cake.

We’re very happy with the service Conroy provided and would definitely recommend them to other couples!

I had my wedding at Knowlton Mansion and it was absolutely fabulous. People are still talking about how wonderful the food was and how attentive servers where at the wedding. My now-husband and I held our wedding reception at Glen Foerd in August 2013. We are extremely pleased with our decision! We walked into our wedding planning envisioning something simple, and Glen Foerd initially seemed opulent; we also worried our intimate party (we ended up with 76 guests) would look lost in the conservatory. We finally chose Glen Foerd because 1. venues in Center City were still a 45 minute drive from the U City church in rush hour traffic; 2. everything, including alcohol and the delicious cake, was included in Conroy's competitive price; 3. the area by the river provided the outdoor feel we wanted while the mansion allowed all of our guests to eat indoors in air conditioning, which was a difficult combination to find. Lori was wonderful throughout the planning process--organized and responsive--and helped us with various substitutions even the week of the wedding. Our guests loved the food, even one guest who is a retired food critic. Instead of feeling lost in the huge mansion and conservatory we had plenty of space to spread out, which comes in especially handy when there are small children in the party. Those working the reception were laid back, accommodating and efficient. Thank you all for the great night!

Conroy Catering is the exclusive caterer for Glen Foerd Mansion which is where we had our June wedding in PA. They are a little more expensive than other caterers but they overall package they provide is exceptional and well worth the money. You can customize it to everyone's liking. The food was amazing. Everyone raved about it from cocktail hour, to our sit-down dinner to the cake and flambe dessert station. Everything exceeded our expectations including the staff who were just incredible people. They catered to our every need and made sure we got to taste all of the food at our wedding. We did not miss a thing. They paid so much attention to detail and it showed in the end product. We could not have asked for more.

Our wedding was held at Glen Foerd Mansion and Conroy Catering managed the site and our catering. The usually stressful process was made easy and pleasurable by our contact, Maria Sampera, and our guests were in awe of the venue. It did rain on our day, but the mansion provided more than enough room for guests to wander and explore during cocktail hour, and relax on the big porch during dessert. The food was outstanding, service was impeccable...we wish we could do it again!

We had our wedding reception at Glen Foerd and were extremely satisfied with the level of service from Conroy Catering. We initially decided to go with them after a visit with Maria Sampera. She was so professional and easily assuaged any concerns we had and really just made us feel very comfortable with Conroy's ability to execute our reception. We continued working with her throughout the entire planning process and she was very responsive and detail oriented. As a bride who was DIYing a lot and without a wedding planner, Maria was such a huge help - I honestly do not think things would have gone nearly as well as they did without all of her help! Even when things were handed over to the event manager, all directions were followed to a "T." I relied on them to set up the majority of my reception decorations and everything looked flawless when we arrived from the church. I knew the second I walked in the door that we picked the right venue and caterer for our winter wedding.

Alice, the Bridal Attendant was also great on the day of the wedding. She kept us with a full drink and food the entire night and also came to the rescue when we couldn't get my gown bustled.

All of our guests were extremely complimentary of the food - especially the hors d'oeuvres - the little spinach phyllo dough bites are AMAZINGLY addictive!

This food was the best wedding food I have ever eaten, and all of my guests agreed. We had a buffet dinner with so many options that it was almost impossible to try everything. The appetizers and stations were also delicious! The staff was friendly and responsive, and took very good care of our guests. They even include the cake, and it was delectable!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Conroy Catering at Glen Foerd. We had attended a wedding at Glen Foerd in 2009 and instantly knew we wanted to get married here... its unlike no other venue in the area... beautiful grounds along the river, historic mansion, wine cellar, art gallery with Tiffany glass ceiling and famous artwork, outdoor glass conservatory, wonderful food and ambiance, and more. We worked with Lori through the entire planning process and she was phenomenal, incredibly sweet and so knowledgeable about everything related to the caterer and the site. Towards the end she was wonderful at coordinating appointments to allow us to prepare for the day. She was the liaison between the banquet manager, baker, and all necessary staff at Glen Foerd, and she always responded to my emails promptly and answered my questions with ease. Our wedding was the weekend after Hurricane Sandy and she was so reassuring through that last stressful week, and the mansion did not even lose power. The price is pretty much all inclusive (with the exception of the tax) and it is quite reasonable for the venue. Chris was our banquet manager and was exceptional during our meeting the day prior, very organized and very specific with instructions. Dee was our bridal attendant and she was so doting to us, made sure we always had an appetizer during cocktail hour or drink during the entire night, and ensured we sat down to eat our meal. Every detail of the entire day was perfect. Thank you!!

I was lucky enough to work with Dan, who I just LOVED! He was so flexible and aimed to please and relieve any stress I had as a bride. When it came to my questions, Dan was very patient and always responded in a timely manner. He and his team helped to set up the venue just as I had hoped and pictured it-just beautiful! Dan helped me with all my menu selections and we were not disappointed. Wedding food is not usually so great, but guests came up to tell me how great the food was!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Conroy Catering for our Labor Day weekend wedding at Laurita Winery in New Egypt, NJ. After two years of planning, everything went off perfectly – despite the iffy weather, which luckily held out for our outdoor ceremony – and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the outstanding Conroy staff and the stunning, rustic backdrop of Laurita.
We were lucky to work with Lori Frankel as our sales consultant and Dan Dutch as our banquet manager. Lori was extremely responsive and very helpful in the several months leading up to the wedding (we had a lot of questions!). After our in-person details meeting with Lori we knew she was the perfect person to help make our vision come true. She truly cared about the various details we incorporated into the wedding and found ways to complement them – for example suggesting a special pre-ceremony beverage that fit our theme perfectly, and making it happen! Dan and the staff were a great help the day of. It meant so much to me that he even took some awesome pictures during the event and uploaded them to our iPhone photo app!
The best part about Conroy, hands down, is the food! The menu is extensive and unique, which makes choosing quite challenging. Our guests RAVED about the Cabernet Braised Short Rib and Chicken Francaise with Lump Crab – I’m happy to say that my husband and I split both entrees and made it a point to clear our plates!

We had our wedding at Glen Foerd. From the moment we visited Glen Foerd last year, we knew this was the location for us. It is a beautiful mansion right on the Delaware. We initially planned to have an outdoor wedding, but the weather did not cooperate. Although my in-laws were somewhat disappointed, the staff was incredibly professional and the drawing room was completely transformed by the staff. In fact, we appreciated the variety of rooms and having access to the river for photos. It ended up being a perfect day for us.
Furthermore, the staff and catering are experts and really know what they are doing. Maria was an incredible help in planning the event for us and helping us navigate our choices, and Jeannie was also a great help in managing the staff during our wedding. Glen Foerd is affordable and flexible. They offer great options and amazing service. we highly recommend them for any event.

Lori Frankel is the bomb-diggity. We were so fortunate to have been paired with her as a sales consultant. She did everything we wanted and so much more. I was sad she wasn't my day of coordinator, but even still her hardwork previously made the night spectacular. Conroy really helped us figure out the financing - we could not afford a weekend wedding of the caliber we wanted so they helped us figure out the logistics of having a weekday wedding (monday) and the perfect custom tailored menu. It was so refreshing working with a company that understands a budget and is so aware of the expense of a wedding. They (especially Lori) worked with us diligently to get us everything we wanted without compromise.

The food is AMAZING!!!! Everyone told me it was so tasty and were surprised by how impressive the food tasted. The food was the most important thing to us, and when we ate our Short Rib dinner we were totally blown away. Also, the cake is phenomenal. Not your typical overly sweet and not enjoyable to eat wedding cake. It was SOOOOO good. Everyone loved it.

The venue (we got married at Glen Foerd) was absolutely stunning. Everyone was blown away and keeps telling us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We loved it - everything about it. There was no spacing issues at all, we had 105 guests and everyone was seated comfortably in the conservatory (which I totally recommend - it was a BEAUTIFUL sight to behold). The staff was awesome and they were so incredibly accomodating to us. They really made us feel special.

The only thing we wish is that it lasted it longer! The night went by way too quickly.

Thank you, Conroy!! You made our wedding day so special - no complaints here!

DELICIOUS FOOD! We kept hearing about Conroy Catering and how amazing their food is when we were looking at venues. We went to the tasting at Knowlton Mansion and were very impressed. The night of the wedding we got many, many compliments on the food. They have their own baker as well and the cake was delicious. They also made granted a few special requests for us which was nice. I used Conroy Catering for my October 2011 wedding at Glen Foerd Mansion. I cannot say enough nice things about them. During the planning process I always received prompt replies to my many questions via email. The day of the wedding my husband and I were very well taken care of by the staff. Immediately following the ceremony (on site) we were offered glasses of champagne. During cocktail hour and dinner the staff was constantly checking up on us to make sure we had enough everything we wanted - hor d'oeuvres, drinks, etc. The food was delicious. We received so many compliments from our guests on the great food, the beautiful venue, and the amazing river view during the ceremony.

The day of the wedding we had a guest bring an unexpected (and uninvited) guest. Conroy handled the situation perfectly. What could have been a very awkward situation went completely unnoticed - I didn't even know about the incident until the next day. The icing on the cake was when we accidentally left the top tier of our wedding cake (meant to be enjoyed on our first anniversary) at the venue. Our coordinator from Conroy personally delivered it to our hotel. They went above and beyond. Our wedding was as beautiful as I had always imagined. I could not have asked for a better experience.

My wedding was at the Glen Foerd Mansion, December 3rd, and it was amazing!! The venue was decorated for Christmas, and was beautiful! The grounds were amazing. The staff, and service were perfect! We've got nothing but rave reviews about the wedding and the venue, and many people have stated that it was the best wedding they have been too! The food was delicious, although I wish I would have been able to eat more of it. I cannot thank them enough for helping make my day the best day of my life!

Our younger daughter is a chef at a fine restaurant. The executive chef there suggested we check out Conroy Catering for our older daughter's wedding so we did. My husband and I ,being the hosts, only managed to sample some of the foods that were served and eveything we tried was so wonderful!!!
More importantly, our guests are still raving about the meal. Lots of our friends are "foodies" and I know that they enjoyed a delicious meal at our affair!!! In the future I hope to attend a party catered by Conroy; I know the food will be wonderful!

Conroy Catering did an INCREDIBLE job with our wedding cake! I found the perfect wedding cake in a bridal magazine and I was able to send a pitcure and the amazing bakers at Conroy took care of the rest! The cake was stunning! It was everything that I had dreamed of down to the last detail. I had also sent a swatch of the color from the bridesmaids dresses and everyting matched exactly! I also wanted to do a 'Philadelphia Sports' themed Groom's Cake and send them several ideas for inspiration. They really blew us away! My husband was soo surprised. AND the best part... everything was delicious!! :)

Conroy Catering was great, especially for the price. Almost every guest commented on how good the food was. I know from experience that wedding food can sometimes be sub par. Everyone at Conroy Catering is alsolutely wonderful.
The ladies at the office helped me with all details including the selection our menu which was altered seemingly dozens of times. Also, when I had a hair salon crisis just 4 days before the wedding, they helped me to find a new location which was nearby and fantastic for my 9 girls. I very much appreciated how much they accomodated me, especially since I was planning my entire wedding from Germany.
Our wedding coordinator reassured me of everything every step of the way. She was ultra-organized and even had a better memory and better eye than me for details. She managed to keep everything running smoothly even when I had surprise guests show up for the wedding and she accomodated our tri-lingual wedding situation seamlessly.
Our bridal attendant on the wedding day was an angel. She made sure that my husband and I got to eat our delicious food and managed surprise changes in our schedule, reassured me, and stayed by my side to make sure that everything was ok. In the hectic nature of the day, she was the calm face that kept stress at bay.
As for the food, many of my guests called it, "the best wedding food they've ever had". I need not say more.

Conroy Catering did a fabulous job with our entire wedding; we had our ceremony and reception at Knowlton Mansion. It was simply gorgeous. The food selection was extensive and elegant. The guests loved the food! The salmon entree seemed to be the favorite. CC also provided my cake which was absolutely fantastic-looking and tasted great!

The staff was wonderful. My pre-wedding coordinator, Amy, worked with me long-distance over email; she always got back to me promptly and offered different suggestions. My wedding day attendent, Alice, was simply wonderful. She took care of my husband and I and our parents all day. I forgot my rosaries which were made for me by an aunt at the Mansion; Alice picked them up off my table and called my parents the next day to say she had them and could drop them off at my parent's house. She went above and beyond for me and family and made the day as simple as possible for me.

All in all, CC, its venues, and staff were truly wonderful and offered a perfect wedding experience.

Conroy Catering was amazing to work with. They were super flexible, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They also had great taste! Jack Conroy and his team provided an outstanding, high quality array of cullinary treats for our guests. But then again, we're not surprised. Every detail covered, everything expertly prepared. We had a guest come up to us at the end of the evening: "When I saw the gorgeous meals being served to the Bridal Party, I assumed the guests could not possibly be provided the same thing. WOW, was I surprised! My meal was the same, succulent, bountiful cuisine that I saw!"

Contracting with Conroy Catering was uneventful, and straight forward. Menus are top notch, and flexible. Prepartion was so good that we actually went into the kitchen to thank the Staff for doing such a fine job.

White Glove service, properly maintained throughout the cocktail hour started the event off with a flair. Proper serving of the main (serve from the left, remove from the right), maintained the air of tasteful elegance. The level of decorum and professionalism is second to none! And, equally important, EVERY guest was served a hot meal, quickly and without intrusion. If people were on the dance floor, meals were served but remained covered!

VALUE is extremely high for this level of catering! Having a dedicated event manager on the day of the affair kept things moving, well coordinated, and elliminated any stress from the parents, bride and groom!

We used Conroy Catering for our wedding at Laurita Winery. The staff including Dan and Robin were highly attentive to our needs and very professional. They helped make our wedding truly unforgettable. We opted to do the buffet stations due to the relatively high cost per person for a sit down dinner. We were at first a bit apprehensive about having a buffet, but Conroy worked with us and everything not only looked flawless but it tasted great! We never felt rushed throughout the night. Everything was seamless and we felt at ease during the whole process. Dan went above and beyond to ensure our outdoor ceremony & reception were perfect. Conroy Catering was fantastic to work with. They were super nice and accommodating throughout the whole process. We went with a promotional package that gave us a reduced selection of meals & appetizers, but also saved us a lot of money. They still worked with us on the menu so we were able to get exactly what we wanted. On the wedding day, our bridal assistant was fantastic. she made sure we got what we wanted to eat and drink. the event coordinator/manager was also wonderful. We had an issue with our DJ and she helped us to work through it. I would definitely recommend Conroy. They have several beautiful and unique venues. We got married at Glen Foerd on the Delaware River and everone loved the venue as well as the food. I recieved several compliments that it was the nicest wedding that they had ever went to. Food was great too.

Bridget was fantastic to work with before the wedding and Jeannie was amazing the day of the wedding. They even worked very hard to accomadate to make up for the bus company (J&J luxury transportation) being 40 mins late to the ceremony and tried to shift things around the best they could to try and hide the lateness. The wedding was beautiful and I would reccomend ANYONE to have their wedding at the Glen Foerd!!! Thank You for being so great!

The Knowlton Mansion was the first place that I looked at for my Halloween wedding reception and as soon as I saw it I knew that was it. Every other place I saw after that just couldnt compare. The catering consultant that showed me and my husband the mansion when we first visited was the same person I worked with for the next year with my planning. She was great and always available through email to help me out with whatever I needed. When she wasnt there, someone else from the catering department would help and they were all great too. Everyone I dealt with at Conroy was always very nice and very helpful. Any little requests that I had, they made them happen.
The day of my wedding was like a dream come true. I get teary eyed just thinking about how perfect it all was, because I wish I could relive it all over again, it goes by so fast. The mansion is beautiful. The staff set all of my decor up exactly as I requested, it looked just like I had imagined it would. The food was excellent. The drinks were fabulous. We had a specialty drink, a pumpkin martini, and it was great. I had multiple people come up to me and tell me how great everything was and that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. My father also had people coming up to him telling him the same thing.
My cake was awesome. It was beautiful, just the way I had asked them to design it, and it tasted great. I got many compliments on the cake. The wine cellar was great too, if you have your wedding there, you MUST use the wine cellar!!
There were a couple things that didnt go right, but nothing too bad, and both things I didnt realize until after the wedding was over. For some reason one of the staff refused to give my mother-in-law a piece of wedding cake for my grandmother-in-law to eat (she was leaving early and wanted to eat a piece of the cake before she left, it was already cut but had not been served yet). My husband had to intervene and get it for his grandmother. That was kind of silly. And I didnt get a taste of my $8 per head dessert buffet...cheesecake, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, apple cobbler....there was supposed to be a bridal attendant assigned to make sure my husband and I got some of it, but we didnt get any of it. That was a little bit dissapointing. The bridal attendant kind of dissapeared after dinner, but I think maybe she just didn't want to interupt me and my husband dancing. The buffet went very fast, I know some of my family members said they didnt get any of it either. I feel as though they didnt provide enough considering that the buffet cost roughly $1400. But oh well. At least everyone loved the cake. The dessert buffet was probably the only thing that I was a tad bit dissapointed in...simply because I did not get any of it and because important family members also didnt get any. Im sure it was good, maybe that is why it went so fast. All of the other food was very good and there was plenty of it.
One more thing, the valet lost the car keys of one of my bridesmaids. So my bridesmaid and her boyfriend were standing around for like almost an hour while the valets ran around trying to find the keys. I was upset about this and my husband and I stuck around until it was resolved. They did find the keys, which is the important thing.
Conroy is very expensive, but I did get married on a Saturday in October, which is one of the pricier times to have a wedding. Im sure getting married in the offseason, or on a Friday, would be a lot less expensive.
All that being said, I have no regrets at all having my wedding there. The Knowlton Mansion itself makes it all worth it, it is so amazing and beautiful. My wedding reception was wonderful and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Our wedding was amazing and exactly what we envisioned.

The wedding was held at the Glen Foerd Mansion and grounds are beautiful with the Delaware River as its backdrop. It is a true gem in NE Philly.

The staff with Conroy Catering made our day. The food surpassed expectations and we received great personal attention. Maria in the sales department is a wonderful resource while planning the event. Our day was expertly coordinated by Jeanie and and I was helped by Alice, the bridal attendant. Alice was courteous, helpful and caring.

We were told by guests that the "food was one of the best meals they have ever had" and "the food was extremely well done - not your 'average' wedding food."

We would use Conroy Catering for any event!!

Glen Foerd was a beautiful site for our wedding. Our guests were able to explore the grounds and the museum. The conservatory is an unique reception area. The Conroy staff was very responsive and help throughout the process. We had worked with Lori. On the day of, the staff was very professional and they really helped to suit our very need. They helped to make the day very special!

I used Conroy Catering for my wedding at Laurita Winery in New Eqypt, NJ. My wedding was this past Saturday and everything went as smoothly as I had hoped. All of our guests raved about the food at our wedding. We went with the most expensive and most inclusive package available and it was worth every penny. Compared to other caterers, we got more in our package for less cost and had excellent service on the day of our wedding, amazing food that our guests have talked about for weeks afterwards AND the wedding cake thrown in. The bar selection was extensive and generously poured. Everything was set up beautifully for our wedding. Our rep was always available via email or phone and very quick to respond in most instances.

We were married at Knowlton Mansion in July! Knowlton was the perfect site for us. Conroy Catering was wonderful to work with. They were able to help us perfect our menu and make sure that our needs were taken care of. All of our guest raved about the food from the appetizers through the cake and ice cream. The food was cooked to perfection! And the wine cellar was such a nice addition to our reception. I know I'm a little biased, but it was some of the best food at a wedding that I have ever had. They were very easy to work with for our guests with special dietary needs and allergies. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Conroy Catering services Knowlton Mansion, Laurita Winery and Glenn Foerd Mansion in the Philadelphia area. Our wedding was at Knowlton Mansion. While a higher end venue, the best part about Conroy Catering is that their wedding packages are so inclusive - the venue, the food, cake, bar service, bridal attendant, and planner and coordinator. The service was outstanding, the food amazing - the portion sizes are huge. You really truely get the most bang for your buck and a wonderful venue/atmosphere included.

My husband and I got married at the Knowlton Mansion in PA on Nov. 1, 2014. Once me and my husband stepped foot out of the car and saw this beautiful vintage style home built in the 1800's we were sold. The property and house sells itself with original woodwork, antique/vintage style furtinure and decor. From the beginning stages of planning the wedding date to picking out linens to choosing cake all up to the day of the wedding, Conroy Catering and their staff were always extremely helpful. If I ever had a question, they would email, call, text me back right away. We had our rehearsal two days prior to the wedding and our cake was done for us to view but the color was a little brighter than I wanted, BUT without hesitation they told us it would be fixed. It was fixed by the next day and she texted me a picture. You always have to expect something to go wrong with a huge event like a wedding but Conroy Catering fixed this problem and made my day perfect. I was extremely thankful for this, they took all my stress away by being there for me whenever I needed them, which is a huge deal when planning your wedding. On a side note, the cake was VERY delicious!!! And I'm a baker, so I'm picky when it comes to cakes. The only thing I wish was included was a food tasting. You have to pay extra to have this tasting. I heard the food was amazing from people who have been to weddings there, WHICH IT WAS, but I still would have liked to have that experience. One of our stations for cocktail hour was the Sushi Station and if you like Sushi then I HIGHLY recommend this!!! The staff on the day of the wedding was perfect and helped our day run smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing, they were all up to date on what needed to be done and who needed to be where etc. Most importantly, the matradee made sure we had drinks and food at all times! She even brought food out to us and family while we took pictures outside during part of cocktail hour.

We had our wedding at Knowlton Mansion in May. The grounds were beautiful that time of year and perfect for an outdoor ceremony. It is next to a busy street and an ambulance drove by during the wedding. It wasn't a big deal to me, but if that is something that would bother you, you might want to take that into account. Lori was incredibly helpful and very accommodating. Overall, we were pleased with everything!

We had our reception at the Glen Foerd Mansion. The setting is absolutely beautiful. All the guests were blown away by the location on the river, the historical grounds, and the art gallery. We consistently still get compliments about Glen Foerd. We worked with Lori at Conroy Catering, who was very responsive and immediately addressed our questions within hours, if not minutes.

A few things I would point out: 1. Since this is a historical place, there are only four total bathrooms. I was very concerned about this since our reception was slightly over 100 people. However, it turned out to be a non-issue for all guests! There was hardly a wait throughout the night. 2. Burning candles are not allowed in the actual house, but they are allowed in the reception tent. (just an FYI) 3. We were told that certain items such as flame less candles, real candles, and table numbers would not be provided. So we specifically bought those items, but when we arrived for set up we were told they were already included in the package. Great they are provided in the price, but not so great we were originally told we had to buy them ourselves. 4. The flexibility in dropping off decor or having vendors come in early is not ideal.

Our day of coordinator Chris, was fabulous. She helped with set up and kept things moving seamlessly. The alcohol was easily accessible and service was prompt. Our first course was supposed to be a salad, but we were served soup. Other than that the food was delicious (not your normal bland wedding food). The cake was also very beautiful and yummy. Overall, Glen Foerd is a spectacular setting for a reception and I would definitely recommend checking it out for your wedding day :)

Conroy's food was absolutely delicious -- we did the bronze package and it was great. The alcohol is top shelf. The chicken skewers, quesadillas, dumplings, spring rolls were all big hits and the meals were hot and cooked very well. They also made our cake which guests raved about.

Conroy Catering does a fantastic job; we had our wedding at Glen Foerd mansion, a gorgeous mansion by the Delaware River. The venue is beautiful, they arrange almost everything for you, the food is delicious, and you can have a high-class wedding at a moderate cost (if you have a small wedding in the off-season, you'd be amazed how much money you can save!). There are so many aspects about the wedding they take care of for you, as you can choose your linens, cake, menu, ceremony setup, etc all through them, making the planning process incredibly flawless and easy. On the day of the wedding, there is an assistant who just caters to the bride, helping you with anything you may need. Conroy really takes the pressure off of planning a wedding, and they are excellent at what they do. My only complaint was about the wedding coordinators...they were a bit snobby, as if I wasn't "high class" enough for their venue. Otherwise, though, I HIGHLY recommend using Conroy Catering- your guests will be talking for ages about how wonderful your wedding was. You will not be disappointed!

We worked with Lori and she was extremely helpful, responsive and had wonderful recommendations (she recommended the boutique I bought my dress from)! Conroy was willing to negotiate and able to accommodate all of our requests. They do have to follow some restrictions set in place by the actual facility but they make every attempt to accommodate you. The food was really great and the service was fast. You will not meet the day of coordinator until the day of...which seems to be the way most caterers/venues operate. That was the only aspect I was disappointed in, since you have a rapport with the sales rep and then meet the coordinator the day of the rehearsal.
Overall, we were very happy with the entire day and everything was perfect. If something didn't go as planned, we didn't notice - which to us, means they did a great job.

We worked with Conroy for the duration of our yearlong engagement, most of our correspondence with Maria. She was responsive, professional, and helpful throughout. I never had a moment where I doubted my decision to get married at Glen Foerd. As for the actual wedding day, it was fabulous!! I am still in amazement by how flawless and beautiful the day was. The food exceeded our expectations!! Everything was ready to go and my bridal attendant, Anna, always kept a drink and food in our hands. My foodie cousin said the appetizers were the best he ever had at a wedding. Although I didn't taste many of them, my dinner was so tasty, even cold! (Which was my fault) The only drawback was our event manager for the day. She was a bit abrasive not only with me, but with our pastor and bridal party. :( I believe that a manager should be able to run an event smoothly without being a drill sergeant. But in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter. I would highly recommend Conroy and although I'm biased, Glen Foerd!

I got married at the Glen Foerd Mansion in August 2013. I worked primarily with Marie from Conroy Catering. She was extremely pleasant to work with. We received a very good discount since we opted to get married on a Sunday and the package we received included a lot. The venue itself was ideal for our size wedding (75 people) and it’s hard to beat getting married on the banks of the Delaware River. On my wedding day itself everything went smoothly. My only two complaints are that there was a really long delay in getting the main course served and when we asked the staff about it, they were pretty confused. I also think that the exterior of the mansion could be kept up a little better. The food was delicious, especially the cake and desert! All things aside, I was extremely happy about how the day turned out and would highly recommend the venue to any bride looking for a scenic venue with a lot of character and charm.

We had our wedding at Laurita Winery, the newest addition to Conroy's line up. Overall, the food, staff and quality were really great. My only issue with them was their lack of flexibility. They have set menus that they have used over and over at their mansion locations which I didn't think were a great fit for a winery wedding. We tried several times to come up with a more vineyard-inspired menu but they were not receptive to any changes beyond the norm without an unreasonable increase in cost. Bridget, our point person, was amazing. She was responsive and helpful and was the bright point in our interactions with Conroy.
Pros: decent quality (but still wedding food), great staff
Cons: lack of flexiibility

Our wedding at Glen Foerd Mansion was absolutely fabulous! Storybook and princess all the way. This place is gorgeous and very unique. We are still getting compliments from guests 3 months later. The food was incredible - easily the best food I've had at a wedding (and according to everyone else). Even the cake was good. Definitely go for the stations, guests loved it. The set up was great. The staff was wonderful. No complaints on quality or ambiance whatsoever.

Couple of cons when dealing with Conroy & the Mansion....the cost is a bit high when compared with other venues. But EVERYTHING is negotiable! If you have the money, go for it.

Speaking of money - I found several errors on my invoices (about a $1,000 difference). They also threw in some extra "surprise" charges at the bitter end that I was not too thrilled with. Make sure you get it in writing and get it up front. Be very clear about your money because you might be shocked at what is NOT included and how they get around the explanation (like table linens that reach the floor, meals for your vendors, tip for the bartenders (even though it says tip included). But this is the sales staff and has nothing to do with how great your wedding will be.

Also, you may not meet your coordinator until the day of your wedding (another shock.) I'd assumed that the people we were working with all along were the ones who would actually supervise our wedding, but this is not the case. However, our day-of coordinator turned out to be incredibly fabulous so it was a lot of worry for nothing. My family LOVED her. But again...find out who it's gonna be and make sure you are comfortable ahead of time.

Good luck! If you're wedding is at Glen Foerd I know you won't be sorry! Poor, perhaps, but not sorry :-)

I had heard really positive things about Conroy and how great they were with Laurita Winery weddings, so I was really excited! We had a very positive experience with our first consultant, who was prompt and friendly in responding to emails. Our first meeting with her was a really positive, comforting experience as well. When we met our day-of coordinator, we both felt AWESOME about choosing Conroy.

The day of the wedding is when things got a little wacky. My husband only told me afterwards that when he and his mother came in and saw the number of chairs, Conroy had placed ten less chairs than we told them for the number of guests. When he and his mother told them this, they actually argued about how many guests we had said we had. Guests ended up needing to stand. Not the end of the world, but definitely not ideal.

On my end, for much of the before-wedding craziness, our day-of consultant was nowhere to be found. It led to me and my bridesmaids very nervous and confused about where we were supposed to be, and when, and what time things were going to start. No one was there to answer questions, or guide us to where we were supposed to be, or move guests away during pictures. My mother asked where our coordinator was, and was told she was in a staff meeting. It was very confusing as to why our coordinator was in a staff meeting five minutes before the wedding was scheduled to start, and a little frustrating considering Conroy is NOT cheap. It made me feel like we were the "throwaway" wedding of the weekend, in terms of importance to Conroy.

The food was decent, but not as good as we had remembered or as it tasted at a tasting my mother-in-law had attended.

After all this negative stuff, I will say that Conroy (for most weddings) does seem to know what they're doing and are very responsive. When alerted to problems, they fixed them (for the most part). The bartenders and wait staff were fantastic, and ultimately, our wedding was still an amazing time.

I will begin by saying Conroy's food was incredible. I loved it, and we are still receiving compliments from guests about it. Our overall Conroy wedding experience however, left us stressed out and highly disappointed. We were constantly shuffled between staff. Our original consultant left the company, next we dealt with a second person, then after our details meeting, we got a third who eventually got so slow at responding to emails we had to call the company to get answers. Throughout the process we felt that we were given very little information and had to come up with questions about very important details, like when the final headcount was required.
At our details meeting, we spoke at length with the consultant about details large and small. She assured us that she would request to be our wedding-day consultant. It wasn't until the day before our rehearsal that an email came in telling us we had a new person. Yes, she read our file, but we discussed many things and went over many details during our meeting with the previous person.
For our rehearsal we were suddenly hit with a lot of uncertainty. When we dropped off our items (chalkboard program, framed thank you sign, table runners, etc) we were told they do not have the room to safely store these items, and they cannot guarantee they would not be damaged. This was an incredibly stressful piece of news that was the last thing we wanted to hear the day before our wedding (After spending months creating all our details). Certainly we can not be the only people who have brought details to a wedding at the venue? The Conroy employees were rushing around trying to find a place, Myself and several of the people in my wedding party with me all got the impression that Conroy has never run an event.
One small further detail, at our ceremony we noticed there did not seem to be enough chairs, Our coordinator assured me that there were plenty. However, some people were forced to stand for lack of chairs.

To say there were a few hiccups in the planning is an understatement. They work as a team rather than having one person assigned to you. I worked with one girl for most of the planning only to find out that she wasn't going to be there the day of the wedding. If I didn't have a wedding planner, I think this would have been very troublesome on the day of the wedding.

If you decide to book with Conroy, I HIGHLY suggest having a planner.

Additionally, be aware that the tasting you go to will probably not be the food you have at your wedding. If you are having a spring/summer wedding, wait to do your tasting until it is spring. They scheduled us for a December tasting only to find out the seasonal offerings weren't options for our summer wedding. We would have never scheduled our tasting for December if we had been informed. When we expressed our displeasure they offered to have a private tasting for $400. Obviously, that is outrageous and we fought to have another complimentary tasting in the spring.

They quality of the food is OK. I would give it a 3/5. It just seems terribly overpriced.

All in all, Laurita Winery was the perfect venue for my wedding; however, the caterer was the weakest link in my wedding planning.

My husband and I were married at Laurita Winery and let me start with saying that the food that Conroy provided was delicious and all of our guests enjoyed it. We requested a mainly vegetarian menu and were pleased with the options, eventhough we only were given $5.00 off the cost of a buffet that included multiple meat stations. Our coordinator Dan was quick to respond and generally a pleasure to deal with.
Then Hurricane Sandy hit 5 days before our wedding was scheduled and 3 days after we had given our final headcount. I am from the Jersey Shore so more than 75% or our guests were coming from the shore or Manhattan (two most effected areas from the storm) as well as flying in from other states. I called Dan first thing on Tuesday morning after the storm had receded to see if we still would even have a wedding and he was very nonchalant saying "I am sure its fine" I explained to him that things in our area were VERY different from how it was in Philly for him and Conroy and that we already had 10 guests who would not be able to make it because their flights had already been cancelled. This proceeded this way for the next 4 days. On Wednesday the venue got power back and we were informed we would have a wedding. By Friday we had 40 guests who were unable to make it because of this awful storm, flights cancelled, homes destroyed and gas shortages. Conroy Catering would not adjust our count by even one person, we were told that the orders had been placed and there was nothing they could do. My family wrapped up all the extra food and brought to one of the shelters so it at least didn't go to waste. Our family and friends still talk about how disgusted they were by the fact that we were provided with no leniency, this was not a case of people just decided not to show up, this was a storm like never before. So my recommendation is that the food is great, the service would have been great, just hope you don't have a natural disaster in the same week.

Conroy Catering is Greedy. We were within 2 months of the wedding and had paid all of the huge deposits. Calamity struck and the wedding was cancelled. Not their fault or ours.In addition to liquidated damages and a non-refundable deposit (we got that these were non-negotiable), they saw fit to keep all funds deposited despite their not providing use of the venue, not having to pay servers, not having to order or prepare any food, not having to set up or coordinate the event! Keep the liq. damages, sure! keep the non. ref. dep.,okay! keep your profit as well! BUT there was plenty left over to make a good faith gesture and return something, ANYTHING.. They received $16K for NO service. PS the flower, photographer, limos svc. all gave us something if not all of our deposits back. Conroy is greedy and you need to know they are immovable, inflexible and rigid to work with on top of being expensive! Run! do not walk to the next venue they are not worth a look!
