Wedding day
My wife and I had our wedding on Aug 9, 2025 and we cannot thank Joe M enough. Joe truly cares about the clients experience and goes out of his way to provide unmatched customer service. We had some mishaps just a week before the wedding but Joe came up clutch big time and made our wedding day one that we will cherish forever. DJ Diph (Joe) is amazing! He was absolutely phenomenal and played a huge part in making our wedding unforgettable. He had the dance floor going all night, and we received many compliments about him and his skills. His professionalism and enthusiasm were unmatched, and it was clear he genuinely cared about making our night special. We’re so grateful and can’t recommend him enough. If you’re looking for a DJ who knows how to start the party and keep it going all night long, Joe is your guy!!
Shelby manned our photobooth and he was great also! Our guests had so much fun and it was worth every penny. Do not skimp out on your photobooth, 11/10, highly recommend these guys!Complete Weddings + Events Seattle's reply:

Joe (aka DJ Diph) was incredible! We had a small wedding (~40 people), and I was worried people wouldn't want to dance with so few people. With Joe DJing, that was NEVER going to be a problem. He made the perfect mix of music for our vibe and had everyone dancing all night! It's a talent to be able to read the room and know exactly what people need to hear, and he did it effortlessly throughout the night.
Truly, we had guests, vendors, bartenders, etc all telling us how good he was. We booked him for our wedding based on his glowing reviews, and I'm so glad we get to be another one. If you want your event to be fun, book him. You won't regret it.Complete Weddings + Events Seattle's reply:

Senior prom, kids had so much fun!
I was researching DJs for a Senior Prom I was putting together since our school didn't plan anything the passed 2 years with COVID on. I found DJ Diph and spoke to him on the phone, read his online reviews and booked him. The kids loved him! I was told he is the best DJ they've ever had, we asked him to stay an extra hour and we're super happy and will use him again! , many thanks!!Complete Weddings + Events Seattle's reply:

DJ Diph was terrific! My wife & I were both nervous about finding a DJ for our wedding as we had zero experience and didn't know what to look for or expect, but he made the whole process easy from start to finish. We hired Complete Weddings & Events for our wedding in August because of the good reviews and its reasonable price. The service package includes everything we needed for our small wedding in the hotel. After signing the contract and sending payment, we were assigned with DJ Seth. We did not see any reviews mentioning DJ Seth but we took a leap of faith. We had a chat with him to communicate what we expected from him & what he required from us to make sure the sounds, music & MC on the wedding day done properly. We sent Seth a detailed timeline of the Wedding Day & the playlists that he asked of us. There were 4 main parts of the DJ service - 1) sound equipment 2) music for ceremony & cocktail hour 3) MC & 4) DJ-ing for dance floor.
1)Sound equipment - We were told that our DJ would arrive the venue to set up equipment at around 2PM but Seth did not arrive until 4PM. The guests began to arrive at 4:30PM & the ceremony started at 5PM. Beside our little anxiety, we had no problem with him being late as long as all the sounds were set up in time & no disruption caused. Music for the ceremony was done well but the wireless mic was a disaster. The mic was a malfunction. The sound of the mic cut off multiple times and it only worked when it was held completely vertical. The mic failed on parts of the officiant's speech and my ENTIRE vow. This failure is no excuse whether it was caused by not having enough time to test the equipment or not having a spare functional mic.
2)Music for the ceremony & the cocktail hour - With the pre-wedding communication, DJ Seth was clear about playlists he asked of us & we did our parts to send him the individual songs for the ceremony precession. This part was done seamlessly with 2 songs. During cocktail hour, slightly upbeat music was played as discussed.
3) MC - we had our wedding planner & my MOH closely managing the schedule & the flow. DJ Seth was able to follow their guidance and made announcements accordingly. However, we noticed that the mic continued to malfunction. The role of the MC became diminished as most people couldn't hear the announcements. The wedding became quite reliant on my wedding planner & my MOH running around. Minus the mic issue, Seth was also not a particularly upbeat person. The announcements made were plain and minimal. We could not feel the energy or passion that we expect a DJ to have at a wedding.
4)DJ-ing for the dance floor - unfortunately this is the most disappointing part of all. Before the wedding, Seth asked us to queue up about ~10 songs in order for him to get our music vibe right for the dance floor (3-hour open dance timeframe). Spending hours thinking of our guests, what music they would enjoy and what songs could heat up the dance floor. We pulled an all nighter, did our homework above and beyond and compiled a playlist of 60 songs. It was particularly important for us to get the dancing vibe right in a small wedding (~50people) because we didn't have enough groups of people to rotate the dance floor. With the right vibe, we could keep as many people and everyone as long time as possible on the dance floor. (We even bought those comfy spongy bathroom slippers to keep ladies on the dance floor- IT WORKED) We sent Seth our playlist and politely let him know our vibes. To our surprise, less than 5 out 60 songs from our playlist were played in the first hour and the dance floor went colder as time passed. My husband and I were confused and waited. It was unfortunate that our DJ could not read the room and people were leaving the dance floor. After an hour, I went up and ask Seth to play songs from my playlist and the room was turnt up instantly. We didn't expect our DJ to play every single song from our playlist but we do think 60 songs were plenty for vibe reference. In addition, music was stopped abruptly in the middle of the dance by mistake. DJ-ing for the dance floor is the biggest part of the service where it tests the true skills of a DJ. We regret to say, DJ Seth did not meet our expectations and the DJ/MC service was the only setback of our wedding.Complete Weddings + Events Seattle's reply:

First, we sincerely apologize for the microphone issues during your ceremony and reception. We understand how much this impacted the meaningful moments of your day, especially during your vows. Equipment failures are unacceptable, and we are actively reviewing our protocols to ensure all equipment is thoroughly tested and backed up with spares to prevent such situations.
Regarding DJ Seth’s arrival time, while we’re relieved the setup was complete before the ceremony began, we understand the stress this likely caused and are addressing punctuality expectations with our team to avoid similar situations in the future.
We also acknowledge your concerns about the MC energy and passion. A DJ’s role extends beyond playing music to setting the right tone and creating a lively atmosphere. We regret that this was not delivered in the way you expected and deserved.
Finally, we are very sorry the dance floor experience didn’t align with your vision. It’s clear you put so much thought and effort into curating a playlist to set the right vibe for your guests. While we encourage our DJs to read the room and adapt, it’s disappointing that more of your selected songs weren’t included earlier in the evening. We’ve shared this feedback with Seth and our team to ensure a stronger focus on incorporating client preferences and keeping the energy alive throughout the event.
Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we’d appreciate the opportunity to make things right. If you’re open to discussing this further, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
