He walked us through exactly what we needed to bring with us on the big day, and has continued to make sure we have everything we need after the wedding. We just had Chase officiate our NYE wedding and he was the best! He definitely is seasoned in being an officiant so if you want things to go seamlessly and not have to worry about anything he has got you covered! He’s so kind and wonderful we are so thankful we chose him. I would highly recommend Chase to anyone looking for a wedding officiant. He was great with giving pointers before and during the cerimony to ensure everything went perfectly. He is very laid back, easy to get along with, and professional. You will see not only in my review, but other reviews that he has a calming effect which is very nice and refreshing as stuff can get a bit crazy right before the cerimony. John Stuber made such a difference in every step of our wedding. Up front, he was incredibly helpful and informative in walking us through the paperwork/legal aspects where we would've otherwise been pretty frazzled. When it came time to plan the ceremony, he had tons of great suggestions and starting points to build from. On the rehearsal and actual day-of, John did perfectly and was even thoughtful enough to step out in time for photos. Our officiant was James. We loved working with him! He was so welcoming for our first meeting and listened to our unique ideas. He had wonderful suggestions and advice. James was quick to respond to questions along the way. We had some unique aspects to our ceremony like, plant unity ceremony and jumping the broom. We hired Chase and Columbus Wedding Officiants at the recommendation of our venue. We couldn’t be happier with him, his efficiency and knowledge, and the way the ceremony went. The Right Choice
When finding the right officiant for our wedding, it became clear from the first meeting that Chase was the perfect fit. He is very caring, confident, reliable, professional, and thorough with his one goal in mind being that the ceremony is centered around the couple. He is very calm and easy-going as well, which drew my husband and I in. We liked how we were given a packet of examples of different types of wedding ceremonies and vows. Even after your wedding day, he is very helpful in processing all the necessary paperwork and providing the bride with information on where to begin on changing her last name if she plans to do so.

We loved our experience with Chase Waits
We are a introverted couple who has been together a long time before getting married (over a decade) and we had a fairly small wedding (35-40 guests). Chase did an amazing job making us feel comfortable--he is professional, timely, and does a great job "holding your hand" through the process, no pun intended. His vows are lovely, not too long or too short, and easily adapt to secular couples. He is kind and easy to talk to. He also easily worked in the adaptations I asked him to make to our vows. Chase is an excellent choice for an officiant!

John Stuber did a wonderful job with our wedding ceremony! He met with us online to get to know us, and helped us write the perfect ceremony outline, prayer, and vows. He gave us important reminders about our wedding license months and then again weeks in advance. He helped me organize my rehearsal. He spoke beautifully during our ceremony, and he was quick enough to get it done before it rained! He also sent us an e-mail after the wedding to remind us about next steps about changing last names. Chase was so wonderful to work with! My husband and I are not super religious, and we were concerned about how genuine the ceremony could feel without those common religious aspects. Chase was super reassuring and made the ceremony feel intimate and full of love. Chase officiated our wedding in October and we couldn’t be happier that we went with him! He was incredibly professional and communicative throughout the whole planning process. He made planning our ceremony super easy by sending us some templates to use as a starting point and was flexible with any changes we wanted to make.
He made sure our rehearsal and ceremony ran smoothly and was so helpful in making sure everyone knew their cues and where to stand so we’d have the best photos. Chase was the preferred officiant to use at our wedding venue, so we booked him and I am so happy we did! He absolutely exceeded our expectations. John was an amazing officiant for our recent wedding! He was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and concerns that we had. He made sure that we felt comfortable with the script he was going to read for our ceremony and let me adjust things as needed. He was able to work with my husband and me while we were stationed overseas in Germany due to my husband serving in the US Military. I am so happy I found Chase to officiate our wedding. My husband and I got married in April at The Estate New Albany. 5 weeks before our wedding Andrew tore his achilles so we were a bit apprehensive for the day since he was going to be in a boot and on crutches. We got him a scooter to use so it would be more comfortable and easy for him to roll around, but I was still nervous for how it would go! At our rehearsal, Chase took all those worries away! He was so patient, kind and extremely knowledgeable! He ran everything so smoothly and suggested we tell the staff at the estate to set the chairs wider so we had more room to go down the aisle! Everyone loved him and on the wedding day we got so many compliments about our ceremony! We kept it pretty short & sweet and Chase did an amazing job delivering it with ease. Chase is professional, experienced, and organized. He attended our rehearsal, which made us feel very confident going into our wedding day. Chase provided us with a sample packet filled with numerous ceremony examples, which helped us piece together our dream ceremony! John Stuber was phenomenal. I was impressed with the script that John had provided us, and allotted for us to edits as desired. John was always very quick to respond back to inquiries and made the entire process easy. He is also very personable, which really helps on the big day. We are so happy we had John be a part of our wedding day! He was great to work with, and he made the marriage license and rehearsal process so easy! Him and Chase sent over a few samples, and we were able to use those to customize our ceremony. It was pouring rain the day of our wedding, and we made a last minute decision to move our ceremony indoors (a room we hadn't practiced our rehearsals in). But John was flexible with us, and our ceremony went super well with his help!

We postponed our wedding twice due to the pandemic, and Columbus Wedding Officiants were responsive and flexible with us. We specifically worked with John, and he was amazing! He let us modify some of the ceremony wording, did a great job with the rehearsal and was phenomenal during the ceremony. Best money we spent on our wedding!
As my husband and I were planning our wedding, we went back and forth on having a friend or family member get ordained, or hiring someone. We ultimately decided to hire Chase with Columbus Wedding Officiants, and I'm so glad we did. He was so great to work with through the planning process, providing us with ideas for our ceremony but still letting us create something meaningful to us. Chase officiated our elopement and the entire experience was fantastic. He was responsive when we first reached out, and he had a ton of examples of different ceremonies/readings/vows that we could look through. This really helped us get a sense of what we wanted. Once we knew the kind of ceremony we were looking for, Chase put together a transcript of the whole ceremony for us to review, and it was honestly perfect. Finally, on the day of Chase was early to our ceremony, and so prepared and professional. Our ceremony and vows were lovely, and there's truly nothing I would change about the experience.

The Perfect Non-Denominational Officiant!
Chase was the best possible officiant we could have asked for for our wedding. We had to push our large wedding due to Covid, and Chase was there for us at the last minute for our intimate ceremony. Chase is awesome. He is super easy to work with, personable, friendly, organized and professional. The entire process was a breeze because of him. It was the best decision choosing Chase to be our officiant! He was the top recommendation to us from multiple sources. We live out of state and had the wedding in Ohio; he provided us detailed information helping us every step of the way leading up to our big day. We set up our first meeting via FaceTime. He sent us a sample ceremony packet and walked us through the process of getting our marriage license and changing name. We customized our ceremony and vows to exactly what we wanted. Our guests came up to us all evening telling us how beautiful the ceremony was. Chase made the rehearsal stress-free, he kept everyone on track and calm the day of couldn’t have went better; the ceremony ran so smoothly. During the vows I started to tear up and he helped me continue on during the most special moment. We got married at The Oak Grove at Jorgensen Farms and he is very familiar with the venue – for a greenhouse ceremony. You definitely want an officiant who makes you feel at ease – that is Chase. We found Chase only a few weeks before our wedding and he was very accommodating with us and what we wanted in a short amount of time. Giving us samples up front to pick and choose parts we wanted was great to start with; and then once we had a good draft, we altered it a bit more and Chase's words were exactly what we wanted to incorporate and he was very flexible with our wants. Everyone at the wedding mentioned how well he did and we were very happy with his overall presence there! He also had great insight in what we should do during the rehearsal so would highly recommend having him attend your rehearsal as well to learn what's best - as he really knows! Would recommend him to anyone looking for a great officiant who can cater to your wants and needs of a ceremony!

My husband and I could not have been happier with our decision to go with Columbus Wedding Officiants to officiant our wedding ceremony. Chase was absolutely perfect- kind, attentive, and informative. One of the number 1 comments about our wedding was how good the officiant was. Chase was very professional. He made our whole ceremony a pleasure. kept everyones attention and was a joy to hear his delivery of the vows. He was very informative. gave us information on how to get our license, registered copies of license and the name change process. We highly recommend him.

Steven was our wedding officiant at our Oak Grove wedding venue. He made us feel very comfortable from the moment we met him and was always responsive to our messages and calls. Steven was very helpful with providing us with ceremony samples and also incorporated all of our ideas. He was very helpful at the rehearsal and made us feel much more confident for the wedding the following day; he showed up on time and looked very professional for the ceremony. We loved having Steven as our officiant, and we HIGHLY recommend him to others!

My husband and I loved working with Columbus Wedding Officiants. Chase was fabulous and went out of his way to help make the perfect script for our wedding ceremony. He even sent emails on help getting the Wedding License and changing my name! Aaron was the officiant for our wedding and he was absolutely fabulous! Very professional and easy to work with. My husband's grandmother even complimented on how nice he did at our ceremony. Would definitely recommend.

Chase was very accommodating with our ceremony, and when I first contacted him he sent me a file with sample readings, that took some stress off!! We are both so glad we chose Columbus Wedding Officiants. He was very professional and always sent a prompt reply to all emails. You can't go wrong with him! My husband and I worked with Steven to design our wedding ceremony and the first thing that struck me was how flexible they are with what you can and cannot do for your wedding. Basically you design the whole thing from scratch. My husband and I looked at their online ceremony samples and sliced and diced to make something that felt uniquely ours. We are so happy with how it went. Steven was helpful and informative and we would recommend Columbus wedding officiants to anyone looking for freedom when designing their wedding ceremony.

Chase was very calm and professional. I definitely appreciated that and that's what lead me to book with him. He was a definite help running the rehearsal. He sent reminder emails with instructions for obtaining a marriage license and changing my name. The process of writing our ceremony was super relaxed. He provided sample ceremonies my fiance and I could look through and piece together what we'd like. we chose an non-religious ceremony but we were able to create something meaningful and filled with love. we had free reign to create our ceremony but when we asked for help chase was quick to step in and help add a portion about our history. He also took the time to review our ceremony and make sure it was perfect for the day of.

Chase was by far what we were looking for when we were looking for someone to marry us. Only meeting Chase a few times before the wedding, he was professional and kept on track of where we should be. Telling us when to get our license and helping us with our vows, we knew that Chase was the right person for the job. My husband and I love to joke and play tricks (Our Wedding was on April Fools Day) and Chase was a great sport. He had everyone laughing at our vows (that is what we wanted). I can not say enough about him. Thank you Chase for making our day AWESOME!

Chase NAILED IT! We loved working with him! He was so calm and comforting through the whole process! We were so surprised what all he took care of! Things that we didn't even know needed to happen Chase took care of. He tailored our ceremony to us and gave us an in between of traditional but non-religious. Booking Chase was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day!

There are simply no words to express how amazing Chase was for our wedding! He made us feel as ease, dealt with a few hiccups, was on time, , easy to communicate with, and was just a pure joy to work with. We wrote the wedding ceremony ourselves and Chase was so willing to offer advice and go with our vision. I cannot tell you how many guests came up to us and asked how long we knew him — they were astounded to find out we only met once before the wedding! Hiring Chase was definitely one of the best decisions we made for our special day.

We are so glad we met with Chase and chose him to perform our wedding ceremony! He sent us a sample packet of wording and we were able to customize our ceremony. He was so great to work with and we could not have been happier with our ceremony! We received many compliments from our guests on how great of a job he did and how beautiful the ceremony was. Also, we could tell that he truly enjoys what he does. I found out after the ceremony that he was really helpful in making sure everything was on track,everyone was where they needed to be, and that everything was going to run smoothly. You will not be disappointed with Chase performing your ceremony!

Chase Waits with Columbus Wedding Officiants was incredible to work with! My fiance (now husband) and I live in Columbus but have yet to connect with a church. We were looking for an officiant who we "clicked" with and would be flexible with doing our ceremony however we wanted. Chase met us one Sunday at a Starbucks in Westerville, and we knew immediately he would be a great fit! Right away he said he does this because he loves witnessing the love and commitment between two people and he wants to make our ceremony exactly how we wanted on our special day - and he truly did just that! He gives great ideas on ways you can set up your readings/vows/exchange of rings, but is really flexible in changing any part to make it your own. I would recommend Chase again and again to other newlyweds!

Working with Chase was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding in mid-April! He was flexible when we worked on writing our own ceremony, offering valuable feedback and adding things to make the flow stronger. We had several people comment after the ceremony on how personal it was. We cannot say enough good things about working with Chase!

We had such a great experience with Chase. He was so easy to work with, and he provided some great suggestions to help us shape our ceremony to what we wanted it to be. From his willingness to work with our "Top Ten" reasons we want to be married list to his awesome suggestions, we just had a wonderful experience. Chase was amazing. He was so professional and helpful, he worked with us on creating the perfect ceremony and he delivered it with great style. Everyone said that they thought our ceremony was beautiful, and it fit us perfectly. We could not have asked for a better officiant for our wedding, and it was so comforting to have someone so experienced to coach us through all the steps of the application and follow-up with the courts. I would recommend Columbus Wedding Officiants to anyone in the area. We worked with Chase and he was awesome to work with. Chase was very polite and easy to work with throughout the entire process. He made us feel comfortable and gave us a lot of choices to personalize our ceremony exactly how we wanted it. Chase was great on our wedding day. He traveled more than an hour away to perform our ceremony and showed up in plenty of time. He did a wonderful job and presented our vows exactly how we had imagined. Again, we can't say how much we enjoyed working with Chase. He is your guy if you want a creative, reliable and professional wedding officiant :)

I wish there was another star I could add to each of the categories. Chase was fantastic. Jim and I were thrilled with his officiating at our wedding. His words were beautiful and perfect and a great mix of both me (Christian) and Jim (agnostic). He was supportive from the day we first met, through the months between and through the rehearsal dinner and ceremony the next day. His very relaxed demeanor made us both at ease and we still get compliments to this day from family and friends telling us how much they loved the ceremony. I highly recommend Chase. He was a true blessing on our special day.

We found Chase on The Knot’s website when searching for an officiant for our wedding in Columbus, Ohio. We did not know anyone who could perform our ceremony and we were not members of a church when we lived in Ohio. So first we set up a phone call to speak with Chase together to see if we like to have him officiate. We loved him from the start. He was so easy to talk to and it felt like we had known him for longer than one phone conversation. Since we planned our wedding while living in Wisconsin, we met Chase in person when traveling to Columbus to finalize some details months before the wedding. Our meeting was great, Chase promised to follow up with tips on our writing on our vows, which he did right away. About two weeks before our wedding it was time to create our ceremony so we spoke to Chase on the phone, he had already read our vows, and told us he would send a draft to us within a couple of days. We loved the ceremony he wrote and so did everyone who attended our wedding. It was a more modern ceremony but meaningful and beautiful. My brother thought we had known Chase during the time we lived in Columbus, Ohio and I think that is a testament to how well he performed our ceremony. Chase even wore a purple tie for the ceremony which was one of our wedding colors. Absolutely loved our experience with him! Also when we returned from our honeymoon we discovered the court didn't process our marriage certificate. Chase called the court to see what happened, (they lost it) and wrote a letter to them saying he did marry us and followed up with us throughout the whole process until it was processed so I could order the marriage abstract for my name change.

Chase was a pleasure to work with! He is very professional and very helpful with the entire process. He was a huge help during our rehearsal since most of our wedding party did not know the typical procession actions. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful and well done the ceremony was.

Chase was great! He helped me write our ceremony wording, and stayed on script! I've been to so many weddings where the officiant seems to ramble on about all kinds of things, and the guests start to zone out. He kept it short and simple like I wanted and gave some great feedback on how to tie everything together. He has a very calm demeanor, which helped my husband and I stay calm. Our ceremony was perfect and Chase definitely helped make that happen! Highly recommend him!
