Wedding rings we've always wanted!

We were recommended by a friend to use Colonial Jewelers for our engagement ring/wedding rings for our 2021 wedding. We could not be happier with our purchase and the service we received. We aren't frequent jewelry buyers so we were so lucky to work with Paige, who was very kind and answered all of our questions. She was also great when working within our budget, which we really appreciated. Whenever we are in Frederick we stop by and say hi as I get my rings cleaned. Couldn't recommend them enough :)

Colonial Jewelers is a wonderful, local place to shop for jewelry. Not only did my fiance get my engagement ring from Colonial Jewelers, but he also got both of our wedding bands and a diamond necklace for my wedding gift as well. Customized and Classic Rings!

We had a fantastic experience at Colonial Jewelers! We worked mainly with Laura who is the epitomy of Customer Service as well as a true beacon of patience. She was so gracious and understanding, working within our budget to find the perfect wedding rings. I didn't get my engagement ring from this store, but she found a ring that matched it perfectly.

My husband wanted a custom ring, using a design he created, and Laura made it happen! She worked with one of their jewelers, brainstorming with my husband about all the details, and kept us updated on all the progress.

Our rings came in with plenty of time to spare which secretly killed us because we just wanted to wear them, but needed to wait.

Highly recommend and will be using them for all jewelry needs.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Janenne and Colonial Jewelers. Janenne helped my husband pick out the perfect engagement ring, and then she helped us with our wedding bands! She's the best, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. My ring needed a repair after we got married and moved away, and again Janenne helped us take care if it.

Time and time again my fiance and I have been able to walk into Colonial with an idea or a picture and have walked out with the exact piece of jewelry (or even better) we had in mind. They are able to custom make pretty much anything, and if they are unable to service you, they will go above and beyond by helping to find someone that can. Sarena is an absolute doll - we have loved every interaction we have had with her, both in person, on the phone, and through e-mail. When we are in the area, we make a point to go to Colonial just to say hi!

When you go there, ask for Sarena. She is an all-star and will give you excellent service. She was always available to talk and very responsive to emails. She worked with my budget and got me an engagement ring that surpassed my expectations.

Sarena was incredibly helpful from the moment we walked in and met her! She patiently helped us narrow down what we were looking for in an engagement ring and taught us a lot about diamonds in the process! She also helped us find the wedding bands we wanted, has been extremely responsive to email, and even sent us a handwritten note in the mail! We couldn't have asked for an easier or smoother experience as we start our lives together!

My husband and I got both wedding bands plus engagement ring from Sarena at Colonial Jewelers. She was amazing to work with, picking up our likes and dislikes and steering us to the perfect rings for both husband and wife. The store has a great selection with the ability to quickly get more stones for viewing. The staff, especially Sarena, is helpful, courteous and welcoming. We will definitely be using them in the future.

Colonial Jewelers *Sarena* in particular, was WONDERFUL to work with. I absolutely LOVE my ring, and we went back and got our wedding bands from them as well. It is a great jewelry store and we are lucky it is so close to where we live. We will continue to use Colonial Jewelers for any and all jewelry needs.

I worked with Hilary and she was great. Her warm smile greeted me when I first visited the store and she was very happy to show me anything I wanted to look at. I later reached out to get some details about the rings I was looking at and everyone was very fast to reply. I did ask about an upcoming sale and they said the ring would be offered during the sale, but they would be happy to offer me the price now, so they were very flexible. I also decided to engrave the ring after I bought it and they offered that complimentary, so that was a nice bonus.

I worked with the fabulous Janenne at Colonial! She helped design the ring of my dreams -- teaching me about diamonds and settings -- and even bringing in several loose diamonds for me to select the final, perfect stone for my custom ring. It was an amazing experience. Janenne is creative and fun to work with, and everyone at Colonial is warm and welcoming. I still stop in the store every time I'm in Frederick just to say hello! Each time I'm there they offer to check my ring and give it a nice cleaning at no charge! My ring is an absolute stunner and I couldn't be happier!

My fiance purchased my engagement ring at Colonial and it's perfect! He later explained that going into it, he had no idea what to look for. Luckily, he ended up working with Sarena. He couldn't say enough about how helpful and kind she was throughout the entire process. Since the purchase, I have taken my ring back several times to get it cleaned and the staff is always very welcoming and ready to help. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!

I am very pleased with my overall Colonial Jewelers experience. I started and ended my engagement ring shopping with them!

My fiancé and I first started our initial engagement ring shopping with Colonial Jewelers. Hilary was the employee who started showing us initial styles for both stones and bands and did a sizing for my fiancé. Once I had a strong idea of a style in mind, I went back to Colonial Jewelers and Hilary where she taught me everything and more I needed to know about stones, bands, purchasing, etc.

I started to shop around at other jewelry stores to find the best price on what ring I wanted, but I ultimately came back to Colonial because of how extremely helpful they had been. Hilary and I sat down 4 or 5 times looking at individual stones to pair with the band I selected. Once I had the perfect combination (I custom ordered the ring ... another perk of selecting Colonial Jewelers!), I negotiated a price with the store manager and we settled on a more than fair price for the ring. It was very nice not having to haggle with the store like you would with other jewelers. They understood what I wanted and made an offer in my suggested price range.

Both my fiancé and I will be back to Colonial to purchase our wedding bands! It was more than great experience, it was the perfect example of how to get and keep customers coming back to a store. We will definitely be back and will 100% ask for Hilary to assist us!

To be honest, the thought of purchasing an engagement ring and wedding bands was very intimidating. I didn't want a generic ring from a chain jeweler. I also had a limited budget as a recent college graduate. I decided to try Colonial Jewelers simply because my fiancé and I love walking through downtown Frederick where it's located.

I visited by myself and immediately felt welcome into a personable yet professional environment. I clearly wasn't experienced in the task of ring shopping, but Kimberly taught me all about diamonds and helped me feel more comfortable and confident. I literally made a Pinterest account to sneak onto my fiancé's page and find pictures of rings she liked. I liked the band of one ring, but I wanted a different shape and size diamond to match my fiancé's interest and my budget. They were able to customize a ring and have it to me within weeks when I planned on proposing. They also provided me with a payment plan within my budget.

The engagement ring turned out wonderfully, even better than I had imagined. They were very timely as well. Later on in our engagement, my fiancé and I found a small diamond missing from the band. I contacted Kimberly immediately and they replaced it at no cost. What a relief! I visited later with my fiancé to purchase wedding bands and they welcomed her like they did me.

Needless to say, Colonial Jewelers was a great option. I wouldn't go back and change my mind if I could. Highly, highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience at Colonial Jewelers. Not only are their products of absolutely top-notch quality and value, but the customer service is amazing. Every time we go there we are greeted with warmth, unmatched customer service and expertise. We worked with Sarena and she was always available to answer questions in person, by phone or even by email. She was very patient as we went through the process of picking out and buying the engagement ring. Even still when we stop by she knows us by name and is always friendly and knowledgeable. We shopped around a lot throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia and found Colonial to be the best of the best! :)

The entire staff at Colonial Jewelers are amazing! Janenne in particular took the time to get to know both me and my fiance. She made the whole engagement ring shopping a true experience that I won't forget. She made my fiance so comfortable he keeps going back for more and I certainly am not complaining about that!!!! Sarena worked with me from start to finish. She helped me narrow down the perfect ring. I feel she went above and beyond to ensure my every wish for the engagement ring was addressed. Even after the ring was purchased and my fiance said "YES", Sarena kept in touch to check on things and remind us when we were scheduled for our next cleaning and inspection.

I would like to express my gratitude and extreme satisfaction to Jessica at Colonial Jewelers. I wanted a custom pair of earrings for my wife on her 30th birthday. Jessica took my rough idea of what I wanted and transformed it into a stunning pair of double halo earrings with white and yellow diamonds. She walked me through their CAD process step by step to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. She explained to me the differences in the quality and color of yellow diamonds which I was unaware of until this point, and suggested different color golds to enhance the different diamond colors. Throughout the design process Jessica was in constant contact making sure any questions I had or adjustments that I wanted to make were taken care of immediately. At the end of the design process I was presented a detailed drawing of the earrings that was exactly what I envisioned. After a few weeks Jessica contacted me to let me know the earrings were in, and that they were "stunning". I immediately went to meet her and what she presented me with was breathtaking. I could not possibly be any more pleased with my entire experience. I look forward to working with Jessica again soon as my 10th anniversary is approaching.

I knew exactly what I wanted but didnt have the time to go in the store. Jess sent me pictures after carefully listening to what I wanted. She sent me pictures and I after a couple of back and forth I saw exactly what I wanted, Jess ordered it and delivered it to me. I LOVE the ring and am totally thrilled. Sabrina was great with us! We had a very tight budget but she was able to help us work out payments and find a beautiful setting. I already had a center stone I wanted to use and she was very helpful with all that. She also was very personable and made sure that after I actually received the ring I knew how to properly maintain and clean the ring to help it stay beautiful forever!

I have been extremely impressed with Colonial since the beginning! The ring that my husband gave me for our engagement was stunning. They cleaned and resized it for me and returned it sparkling very quickly. When my husband and I went to select our wedding bands we had to come back to Colonial. Nancy there was very helpful, easy to work with, and kept checking in with us while we waited for our order. Since the wedding, they still invite us to their in store events. It is a great place!

We got our engagement rings and wedding bands from Colonial Jewelers. We entered into this process with some nervousness since jewelry purchasing was so far out of our comfort zone. The jeweler was so focused on us while we were there and taught us about the many important options to consider while making this purchase. She took the time and interest to match our preferences and our personality with our jewelry. We left feeling like experts and were confident with our decisions. She did such a wonderful job and we couldn't be happier with our selections. We will certainly go back to Colonial Jewelers in the future!

I have to admit, I am partial to Colonial. My husband and I went to high school with Sarah so we only give our business to them. We always get great service and the jewelry we purchase is always top notch.

As a family owned company for over 60 years, we received superb service for choosing and purchasing our rings! My fiance and I went once to look at engagement rings together and I gave him an idea as to what I liked. But, he then purchased my engagement ring without my presence. Patty was so helpful to him and truly worked to get him a ring that was within our budget. We then went in together to review and purchase our wedding bands. Again, Patty was so patient with us and made us feel special in our purchases. Also, the wedding band that was a match to my engagement ring was designed to be round (to encompass the engagement ring when worn together). This was not the style that I wanted, so Patty worked with the manufacturer to create a wedding band that was straight. I love it and it's gorgeous!! We highly recommend Colonial Jewelers for any of your jewelry purchases and especially for your engagement ring and wedding band purchases!! (only downside is they are a little more expensive than other jewelers, but for the quality and care of service it was worth it for us to use them!)

We purchased our custom designed wedding rings at Colonial Jewelers (and my fiance purchased my engagement ring there, too). We worked with Emily and she was fantastic. Colonial is definitely one of the best jewelers in the area. Their customer service is great and the quality of the jewelry is top notch. Save yourself time and just go to Colonial Jewelers. Their excellent reputation is much deserved!

Colonial Jewelers is the best! Per my husband's request, they helped me pick out some beautiful engagement rings that fit my fingers for him to select from. I was so impressed with their service that we bought both of our wedding bands from them. The entire staff was incredibly attentive to our needs and budget. I cannot recommend Colonial Jewelers enough. My husband and I always had such a good time when we were in this store. We purchased my engagement ring, our wedding bands, earrings for the wedding day and a pocket watch for my husband. The entire staff is great to work with � especially Amber! Colonial Jewelers in Frederick, MD was stop number five or six in my journey to find an engagement ring for my Bride-to-be.

I had a well-established idea of the ring I wanted to get my Bride-to-be, but most of the jewelers I spoke with had something completely different in mind when I would try to describe "A filigree ring... An antique or vintage look to it... White Gold... Large enough stone to stand the test of time... etc.". I was tired - and almost ready to give up. (To give a context, in my search I spoke with jewelers from Oregon to Tennessee to Maryland.)

When I called Colonial, I spoke with Hilary Curran. In a few minutes, I described the ring I was looking for. After carefully listening to my description, and asking some simple and specific questions, Hilary affirmed that she had a good idea of what I was looking for. We scheduled an in-person appointment.

Hilary was on-time, friendly, and greeted me with a smile. Within a few minutes, she pulled out a ring which she thought matched my description - I was shocked! For the first time, someone who actually understood EXACTLY the style ring I was looking for! Hilary asked for my thoughts on the ring, and how it matched up compared with my description. After reflection, I mentioned a few additional features I was looking for in "the ring." Hilary listened carefully, and assisted in ordering a few other rings for me to look at. When we met the second time, she had three other elegant options of the same style and era for me to choose from... Of these, I carefully chose One - a beautiful estate ring circa 1920s, with filigree, white gold, and an old mine-cut stone. Exactly what I was looking for!

You will be privileged if you can work with Hilary Curran. I highly recommend her. When helping in the search for your treasure, she is and will be accurate, creative, and a great listener. In the end, she will go above and beyond to help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Colonial Jewelers made it easy for my fiance to find an engagement ring within his price range, and gave him ideas about how it would look with a wedding band. For me, they got it sized in one day (usually takes two weeks) and followed up a week later to make sure everything was fine. We will be getting our wedding bands here too.

Colonial Jewelers (specifically our sales consultant---Janenne McKale)-----were amzaing to work with. Janenne worked closely with me for almost six months to design a custom insert and wedding band. Her patience, creativity, and professionalism exceeded our expectations. She truly was able to listen and understand my needs based on a complicated design and spent months perfecting my beautiful ring. The final product was exactly what I was searching for. Janenne McKale is top notch and I highly recommend couples working with her.

My husband and I purchased my engagement ring, and our wedding bands and a few other pieces of jewelry this past year from Colonial Jewelers in Downtown Frederick and we could not have asked for better service and assistance. They were so helpful in guiding us in the right direction during the ring decision process. It can be very overwhelming and a tough decision to make but in the end I believe we made the right one. Our sales associate, Elizabeth was perfect and we loved working with her. She always was willing to work with us, and was patient and understanding to our financial needs as well. We shopped around at some chain jewelers and personal recommendations before making a final decision of where to buy my engagement ring from and I told my husband that they may be a little pricier but I just had a great feeling about Colonial Jewelers and the service that we received that we should go with them and I'm so glad that we did because the end it was definitely worth it! Thank you!

After MUCH searching, we finally found the perfect band for my husband at Colonial Jewelers. All the staff was extremely helpful and courteous and obviously knowledgeable. They wouldn't let us leave discouraged; they searched and searched and custom ordered the perfect wedding band for my husband. I didn't purchase either of my rings there, but Colonial Jewelers would always clean my ring for me while I was ordering and picking up my husband's band. The only disappointment was that one staff member accidentally told my husband what I had had engraved on the inside, but that is such a minor incident in the grand scheme of things that I don't even care.

Colonial Jewelers, specifically Hilary, was a very helpful jewelry store for my fiance and me. We had no real idea about how to go about buying an engagement ring, but Hilary was very helpful and patient with us.

Sarena was fabulous and she helped my fiancé pick out the PERFECT ring. Exactly what I wanted! He told me the reason he picked colonial jewelers in the end was not only because the ring was amazing but because of the genuine thought and care Sarena put into her time and relationship with him! I always feel special and have a personal connection with Sarena when I come into the shop! She helped us find the perfect wedding bands as well. She helped us come to a decision without being pushy! Obviously we could have gone with cheaper rings elsewhere, but the experience and quality of what we got was very much worth every penny!

Jessica was extremely helpful during the process. She immediately responded to any questions i had. The value was outstanding! The ring appraised for $3K more than what i paid for. After looking everywhere for the perfect wedding band to go with my solitaire engagement ring, we finally found it at Colonial Jewelers. Our salesperson helped me find a gorgeous band and she let me take my time to decide. They told us they would call us to let us know when my ring was ready, but we never got a call. Several days after the date they promised it, my fiance stopped in the store and it was ready. Great service though!

My fiance purchased my engagement ring from Colonial Jewelers, and I absolutely love it! We went into the store together to look at rings, and immediately felt comfortable with the team. They helped walk us through what we should consider in purchasing an engagement ring, and they had a great selection. They made the process easy. We went back to purchase our wedding rings as well because we loved working with them so much. When I liked a wedding ring but wanted the band to be a different width, they worked with us to order the ring in a different sized band so it could be exactly what I was looking for. The prices are a bit higher than other places, but the quality of the jewelry makes it worth it.

My husband and I purchased our wedding bands from Colonial Jewelers. They had such a lovely selection that fit various budgets. We found the perfect classic gold band for him and a delicate rose gold pave diamond band for me! Plus it is great to support a local shop!

I love that we have a local jeweler, and that it's a family business. Their prices seem pretty high ($110 to resize a ring to a smaller size!), but their customer dedication is unbeatable. I love that Gwen sent us handwritten notes after our visits there, and she remembered details of our conversation from the previous visit every time.

Janenne at Colonial Jewelers was great to work with! She was very patient with us as we took a long time for each of us to decide what wedding ring we wanted. She helped me pick a one of kind piece by changing out the stones to match my taste and style. I appreciated her professionalism, and her experience in finding something that spoke to me.
While I like Colonial Jewelers, I think they are a little high on price. Fortunately, working with Janenne made the entire experience, and bill, worth it!

I have had several experiences with Colonial. First had a signet ring enlarged, it was competently done and they charged about $100 plus the value of the additional gold. So not unreasonable that time.

Then went in with my finacee and mother's wedding ring to have to have it resized from 7 to 4.5 which is admitted a large jump, it is also has a three bands which a little more complicated. They looked at it with a loope and said there were a lot of cracks in it. They wanted $2300 to resize it! They I asked about a new setting for the diamonds and they want $2400! Then asked them to bid on my deceased father's diamond ring and they wouldn't even look at it for melt value.

Well I just got the ring resized in Ecuador for $45! They did a lovely job and its held up fine. They also said there were no cracks in it. Bottom line: Colonial saw a middle aged man with a wedding ring and tried to punk him and made up a cock and bull story to justify it. Totally unethical. Now I wonder if I would have even gotten the right stones back. Avoid like the plague.
