Colleen is amazing!!!!
Colleen is one amazing photographer! She did my engagement shots and for my wedding and I can’t explain enough how much I will treasure my photos! Not only is she so talented, she is so kind she made me and my husband feel so comfortable! Everyone in my wedding party loved her, She had all of us laughing! I would recommend Colleen to anyone who is asking about a photographer and I would definitely go to her again! My mom always likes to say that she was worth every penny! -

Whitney Sent on 10/15/2017This is not the first time I have had the pleasure of working with Colleen and team. She has captured all the big events in my life, from my senior pictures to my wedding. She is not only immensely talented but her creativity and vision is unmatched. Her and her assistant traveled with us to Mexico to photograph our wedding weekend. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. She is effortless to work with and makes you feel very comfortable in front of her camera. I would recommend her to everyone looking for an amazing photographer to capture their most precious moments.

With multiple photographers we were able to get every shot in a short amount of time, so my husband and I didn't feel like we were missing any of the party :) I love her creative style. She has a great eye for natural light and I love that our wedding photos look natural instead of forced poses. The most important part, was how complimentary and supportive Colleen and her team was the entire day. It is so important to feel comfortable around your photographers - and we were having a blast!

Cassie Sent on 10/03/2017Colleen is the most fantastic photographer I have come across yet!!! You tell her what you want and your wish is granted. She does an awesome job providing a day-of schedule for when, who, and what pictures will be taken which helps reduce a ton of pre-wedding stress! She captured all the important moments from different angles with different photographers in different spots. She then goes through every picture individually and edits them to make sure there are no flaws. She is fun and made me feel BEAUTIFUL! We love you Colleen and crew!

I am an event producer, and I use Colleen Cahill Studios, as my exclusive photographer. I produce about 5 big events a year, and I have found Colleen Cahill Studios to be the best "all around" photographer. Her detail to lighting is essential for the best photo results for my clients. Colleen is literally an "expert" in lighting solutions. The venues I utilize for my events have varied lighting challenges for a photographer, but Colleen and her team, have never let me or my client's down with the clarity, creative and clear photos that can be reproduced for several marketing mediums. My events that I produce are varied in demographic and theme, but nothing rattles Colleen's approach to producing a photo package that every one of my client's have raved about. Thank you, to Colleen and her team. I will continue to utilize her for every one of my events and I always recommend her to anyone one who is looking for the best photographer, in all areas. -

Hannah Sent on 09/13/2018My husband and I have always had amazing and memorable sessions with Colleen! We first started getting our pictures taken by Colleen in High School. She then continued on to capture the moment my husband asked to marry me at Timberline Lodge. She has also taken our engagement photos, wedding photos, and most recently got to take pictures of our first baby! It has been so special for us to have someone so special to us share all of our important memories with us, while have such an amazing skill to capture all of the emotions in a single picture! Colleen is so good at getting the perfect picture and she is amazing with her clients. She takes the time to get to know everyone, is patient and willing to get the perfect shot and always takes her clients comfort and preferences into consideration. She cares so much about the work she does and values the moments she gets to help capture with her clients. We will always go to her for our pictures in the future!

Melissa Sent on 04/16/2018The number of images I asked her to take with a mind boggling array of people was over the top, and Colleen not only got them ALL -- she got the shots I could have never know would happen that day. From the tiniest details ( once that I could not remember due to me being IN THE WEDDING, ahaha) to the biggest moments, it was all captured beautifully! She even stayed late and took our wedding dance photos herself! Best customer service ever! The amount of images I received from the wedding was amazing, every bit of it was there for me to look at, she caught all the moments I was not a part of but still happened with all the guests, simply perfect.

I was so, so, so excited to have Colleen be my photographer for my wedding, especially seeing her extensive portfolio and raving reviews. She did a phenomenal job with my boudoir photos, and I love them and so does my husband.
However, the wedding photos were sub-par in some respects. The first looks were great, stunning backgrounds, great use of color, though she did focus more on me than the groom, which is to be expected in most cases. Even if I am fake smiling in a lot of the photos, but that might say more about my stress than her talent.
Fast forward to the family photos I wanted done of the extended family...oh my goodness...they are terrible!!! Do not let her shoot at night EVER! She explained that she wanted to do my ENTIRE extended family before the ceremony, which was at 6pm in October, I couldn't comply due to my family ranging from many different areas and the invites already being sent out stating 6pm. It wouldn't have be reasonable to ask extended family to show up 2 hours prior to the ceremony, some of which were coming right after work or from Washington. Due to this, all the photos were taken outside at night and it shows. Oh does it show. She only used a flash, no reflective disc or anything of the sort, not even a suppressor on the flash. She had an assistant with her which would have made this possible. I had NO idea how bad the lightning was until after the wedding, we could have easily moved inside the venue if she would have told me.
Now, she has tried to fix them after my bridesmaid begged her to at least remove red-eye, (which apparently isn't included in post-production), and they look decent but not great. Her response to me not liking her work was shock and indifference. "If you only found one incredible image in each series I would have felt like I did my job well." is what she told us. Well I did not find one photo in the family series incredible. I understand that she is proud of her work and has done this for a long time, however I wish she would have taken the time to stop and look at her camera and realize the lightning was terrible. This was the first time in years I had my family together, those were the photos I was going to frame and hand out.
I don't want to defame her work or her professionalism, but I am not happy. I'm sorry I had a night wedding and that I had NO idea she didn't know how to shoot in the dark. I've worked with photographers before who knew how and I thought a professional like herself would know. My advice to the next bride? Be specific and question her technique, even during the wedding. Even ask to see the camera to double check you're getting what you want. You are the bride, so please make sure YOU are happy.
