  Absolutely the best

  We are so glad we chose Colin to be our wedding photographer! Colin is organized, personable, and will capture your day in the most perfect way!
  During pre-wedding meetings Colin eased all of my anxieties and helped create the perfect timeline with our vision in mind. Day of the wedding, he was so chill, easy to work with, and helped move things along so that we were all on schedule. I had a list of shots we absolutely needed to get and of course on the actual day there were a few photos I wanted to add in, no problem for Colin!
  The end result, a gallery we enjoyed so much that we can look back on and live our day over and over again. The photo quality has a natural, effortless look which is exactly what we were going for. Colin nailed it! We would book him again instantly!

  Simply the best!

  Colin blew us away! He captured our day beautifully and was a breeze to work with from engagement through planning and the wedding day. His easy-going personality was calming to be around, he kept us on schedule, and he was meticulous when setting up group pictures.
  
  Looking at our gallery was the first time we were able to see close ups for so many little things like the ceremony and reception details, and we were so impressed! My husband and I are NOT naturals in front of the camera (thank goodness for Colin and Sarah’s directions and demonstrations), but he made us look like PROS! I was blown away with the the movement pictures and I’m in love with how natural our portraits look. His classic black and white photos still make me teary and every time I look through the gallery I have a new favorite.
  
  We were a little adventurous and did a photo blitz with our 26 (!!) tables... Colin kept up with us and nailed every photo... including a high five at the end!

  Hobble Wedding 8/12/22

  My husband and I know Colin through mutual friends. Shortly after getting engaged, we ran into him at a birthday party. Being in the early stages of wedding planning, we had not yet booked a photographer and truly had no idea where to begin. Colin offered us an impromptu consultation on the spot. Not only was he so knowledgeable and passionate about his work, he encouraged us to hire who we felt most comfortable with and never once pushed for us to hire him. It was incredibly selfless of him to take time educating us and at that point we knew we didn't have to look any further for our wedding photographer. Throughout the planning process Colin was gracious with all of our questions and so accommodating with our hectic schedules. We had so much fun at our engagement shoot in downtown Buffalo on top of a parking garage. The shoot ended with a trip to one of our favorite bars, Free Street Tavern, where we all enjoyed a glass of wine and a pickle back shot. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Colin & Jenny were both so kind, calm, and positive on what was expected to be a stressful day. Luckily, there was no stress and everything ran smoothly. I worked with Colin on a shot list before the wedding day so our getting ready photos, first look, portraits, and family photos would be well organized. Colin was great at giving direction and truly made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. We also really appreciated how well Colin worked with our other vendors. It felt like one big happy family! One of our favorite parts of our wedding day was our late night McDonald's photo shoot in the lounge area. We had so much fun and Colin was the ultimate hype man. We will never forget that moment! I can honestly say that some of our favorite photos were the preview photos provided to us just a few days after the wedding. When we finally received our full gallery we were so excited to see all of the other amazing photos. As two people who are highly critical of themselves in photos, my husband and I were so pleased with our photos. It's hard to pick a favorite! Based on our experience with Colin, we highly recommend him to anyone in need of a wedding photographer. He really is one of the best!

  Colin is an absolute must if you are looking for an amazing wedding photographer!! Colin worked with us for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. Colin truly has an eye and a talent for getting the best shot. His creativity amazes us every time we review our photos. He makes the entire experience super fun because he makes you feel comfortable and just wants you to be yourself. And because of this, he produces the best work. He is especially good at communication. We had a very large family and bridal party so he knew how to keep everyone on task, especially when we were on a timeline.   Amazing wedding photographer!

  We cannot say enough about how amazing it was to work with Colin! Colin photographed both our engagement shoot and our wedding. Heading into the engagement shoot, we were both pretty nervous about being in front of the camera. Colin totally put us at ease and made it a really fun experience. He’s also someone we really enjoyed hanging out with! You spend so much time with your wedding photographer so having someone friendly, funny, and professional, like Colin, really adds to the vibe of the wedding day. We think that is what makes Colin such a great photographer and what leads to such authentic photos - he creates an environment where everyone is comfortable and he captures you as you really are. And our photos, engagement and wedding, are amazing!! Colin captured the day exactly as we remember it and we’re so happy to have these memories of such a great day. We 100% made the right choice with Colin and look forward to working with him again!

  The Best That You Will Want

  We worked with Colin for our engagement shoot and our wedding. Though I knew Colin from our paths crossing a few times during the beginning of high school, his stellar work on friends' weddings made it an easy choice to book him for our wedding, especially since we were planning ours from a different city. He is communicative and does an excellent job balancing what clients want with what he knows will work best. My husband had never met him prior to our engagement shoot and afterwards couldn't stop raving about how comfortable Colin made us feel when we felt awkward in front of the camera. The moments he captures too don't show that awkwardness since he works to make you focused on each other and having fun. He is reliable, organized, timely, and has a great eye. He fits right into your wedding day to capture the moments without grabbing your attention so you can continue to absorb the day around you. The photos on his blog speak for themselves. We will always highly recommend him!

  Best photographer ever!!!

We aren't super great in front of the camera, and Colin made us feel so comfortable and captured so many great shots of us on both occasions. Colin and his assistant Taylor were amazing on the day of our wedding. Colin guided us on timeline and shot list and captured every special moment. We have so many beautiful photos to remember our day, it's hard for us and our families to even pick which ones we love the most!   My favorite wedding vendor!!

  Colin is the type of a person that starts as a wedding vendor and ends up as a friend. He had been the photographer I knew I wanted for my wedding years before I even got engaged (I met him at a craft show and immediately fell in love with his work), and working with him was everything I had hoped for and more.
  
  He is prompt, professional, courteous, and understanding. On the day of our wedding, we had SO much fun with him and his second shooter, Heather. My husband and I are both awkward at best in front of a camera, but he made us feel so at ease that it actually allowed us to enjoy having our photos taken. We ended up with hundreds of beautiful, clear, high-quality photos that made it difficult for us to choose just a few to have printed and displayed in our home. I made most of our wedding decorations myself and he made sure to take extra care to photograph everything so I have beautiful memories for years to come.
  
  Beyond his insane talent and professionalism, Colin is a good human down to the core. He truly appreciates his clients and clearly loves what he does. Suffice to say, I would absolutely recommend him to anyone, regardless of the occasion!

  Colin was so amazing to work with. Our vision was executed perfectly. His work is timeless and will be with us forever. Such a great way to capture the day. Colin himself was so personable and helpful and knows how to make you feel like the most beautiful person ever which is how you should feel as a bride! And so helpful after the wedding and leading up to it too. I can’t recommend him enough.

  Colin Gordon is worth EVERY PENNY. He was extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and responded to all of my questions/emails promptly.   Picture perfect

  Colin’s pictures, work ethic, and eye for candid shots are nothing short of spectacular. He is down to earth, passionate about his work, and makes picture taking fun, especially for those who do not normally have their picture taken all the time. He goes above and beyond all expectations and comes up with creative shots that one may not have thought of. We are so fortunate to have had him shoot our engagement shoot as well as our wedding. He was practically invisible at the ceremony and reception; at one point I had wondered where he had disappeared to which is one of the coveted qualities a wedding photographer should have.

  Laid-Back, Professional, and Fun Photography!

I can't even begin to say how pleasant our experience with Colin was, both for our engagement pictures and for our wedding day.   Colin is amazing! The photos he takes are breathtaking and he is awesome to work with! He is extremely organized and efficient. He answered all of my e-mails the same day and always answered all of my questions! He was available to meet in person to review details before the day of our event which I greatly appreciated! We did engagement photos as well as our wedding photos with him and couldn't be happier with the quality of the photos and our experience working with him! I would highly recommend Colin to anyone looking for a high quality wedding photographer!

  Absolutely incredible

  My husband and I got married back in June, and I couldn’t imagine having anyone but Colin capture the day.
  
  Last September, we did our engagement photos with Colin and we knew immediately we made the absolute best choice in choosing him for our big day.
  
  I am SO awkward in front of a camera, but Colin made it easy and, honestly, we all forgot he was there a majority of the time. He made things fun, non-complicated and it felt like I was working with a friend, rather than a stranger with a camera in my face.
  He captured every little, genuine moment I could have hoped for, the photos are stunning and I find myself scrolling through them on a daily basis.

  It has taken me a while to write a review because it's hard for me to find the words to describe how truly wonderful Colin is. There was such an effortless flow to our photo session. In the best way possible, you forget he is there, and you are able to live in the moment.
  Our pictures turned out perfectly (and even sooner than we anticipated!). Colin's composition and eye for detail speaks for itself. I would definitely recommend him.
