Quality dresses, professional service.

Went to Cocoa Couture about two months before my wedding because of an issue with a different dress, and my budget was small. They helped me find a great dress and get it fitted twice before the wedding.

Heidi worked with me to find some off-the-rack dresses that had the A-line silhouette I wanted, but she also selected some other silhouettes. We went to a private dressing room, and she helped guide me to a dress that felt perfect (it actually was a different silhouette than A-line) while making the experience really fun. After that, each time I had a fitting, Heidi was there to see how it looked.

Theresa, their in-house seamstress, did the alterations quickly despite it being a busy time of year. There was a strip of beaded fabric on the bottom of the dress; she took care that when the dress was bustled, the beading went perfectly around the bottom. The alterations were somewhat costly but worth it given the quality and work required.

Overall, had a great experience at Cocoa Couture and would highly recommend going there.

I can not say enough about the Positive experience I had at Coco Couture. Jill was so helpful and really guided me to find the most perfect mother of the groom gown. Her help was instrumental in finding the perfect style. She allowed me to relax and really enjoy the experience.
Heidi is an extremely talented seamstress. Her Professional experience is impeccable. She listened to me and was able to make all the adjustments I requested. She was flexible with my fittings and done in plenty of time for the big day. The dress was perfect!

Great Experience!

I had a great experience at Cocoa Couture and with my bridal consultant, Janine! She was so sweet and helps you feel relaxed and at ease straight away. She is super funny too and will take pictures for you! :)

She is actually who picked out the dress I ended up choosing to wear on my wedding day! She listened to all of my ideas of what I thought I wanted and picked a dress that truly met all of those points. I absolutely love my dress and am so glad I made an appointment at Cocoa Couture! Amazing customer service

I was so nervous (and excited) to go wedding dress shopping. I had a general idea of what I wanted and Paige knew exactly what options to bring me. She made sure to share a style that was different from what I thought I wanted so that I could compare. We found the most perfect Sophia Tolli. I’m so pleased. EVERYONE was amazing, kind and generous with their time and expertise. So excited to be married in a dress from Cocoa Couture.

Fantastic bridal salon

Cocoa Couture was wonderful to work with! From the selection of gowns by the designer I wanted, to the bridal assistant, to the alterations and the fantastic Janine who made things happen, I couldn’t be happier! We also purchased all of our bridesmaids dresses and rented the groom/groomsmen tuxes from Cocoa Couture. Our entire bridal party looked amazing!

Loved working with the team at Cocoa Couture. I felt welcomed every time I stopped by. The owners are always there as well to make sure your experience is a good one. They were so helpful and really took the time to understand my vision for my wedding dress. In the end, I had my dream gown. I added Swarovski Crystal straps and they took the time to give me their opinions on all of my accessories. When you walk in to Cocoa Couture it is an upscale atmosphere. Also, I loved that they had diffusers around the space to make it smell of Cocoa. The staff was knowledgeable and caring. I wish I could go through the whole process again, so I could buy another beautiful dress!

It was a pleasure to work with Jen and the rest of the team during the course of nine months leading up to my wedding. Having been through a 50-pound weight-loss transformation during the previous year, the perfect gown was high on my list of priorities. The selection of gowns and how complimentary the staff was made the whole experience extra special, and I ended up with a gown that I thought I'd have only in my dreams. I had THE BEST experience at Cocoa Couture. First of all the selection at Cocoa Couture is huge and they carried all the designers that were on my list. Josh at Cocoa Couture went out of his way to make special accomadations so that my whole wedding party could be present to help me make my selection. We had so much fun and in the end I got the most beautiful dress for my wedding, shoes, head piece, and jewelry. Just perfect. I felt like a true princess. My girls were also thrilled with they're experience, price, and selection. The tux selection is also outstanding. All together a wonderful experience, professional, and I would recommend Cocoa Couture to all my friends or anyone in need of a wedding dress, brides maid, tux, or prom. You will not be disappointed. A very talented wedding gown designer Daniel Thompson designed a gown that made me feel like Queen for a Day. Move over Cinderella! All my amazing wedding jewlery was by Meg. The professional team at Cocoa Couture exceeded my expectations and brought these amazing vendors to my attention. You simply can't match the beauty and unique quality of the gowns. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it. Tuxedo's for the men also looked great. Thank you to all for making my dream a reality.

Cocoa Couture was the 3rd bridal salon I visited when searching for the perfect dress. I found my gown, then left and thought about it for a few weeks, but eventually returned to purchase it. I was provided with great service during my appointment. There wasn't pressure, but kind and honest guidance about styles, pricing, and how it would fit into my wedding vision.

When I returned for my first fitting--I felt like a movie star with all the attention I received from staff! They helped me accessorize my gown beautifully. One of the consultants brought me a veil to try on... It cost over $200. I laughed and told them I needed one closer to $50--and wouldn't you know, she helped me order something just as beautiful, but in my price range. I was grateful that an "up-sell" wasn't made to feel like a priority by the sales staff.

My only note, is when discussing alterations, ask to speak directly to the seamstress. My "guestimate" was much lower than what the cost eventually ended up being. There isn't really fault to be placed, but it's just something to be aware of. That being said, the recommended seamstress, Teresa, was amazing. She is truly talented in what can be seen as "a lost art". No complaints on the actual work that was done with regards to alterations.

Five star there were not enough fitting room for all customers but everything else was great. Friendly service and fantastic great selection. Now I understand why there isn’t enough fitters because Cocoa is very popular! Strongly recommend.

My experience at Cocoa Couture was wonderful! Im a larger woman, and I was honestly dreading dress shopping and worried that I was going to struggle to find shops that had dresses I could try on. But Cocoa Couture was a dream to work with! Not only were they super professional and kind, they had a large selection of larger size dresses to try on! The woman who helped me was so patient, as I was not sure exactly what I wanted, and was able to get a sense of what I was after after a few dresses and brought out this gorgeous Sophia Tolli dress that ended up being the one! It was nothing I though I would like, but she listened to what I was saying and knew I would look great, and once I put it on it was magical! We also got my mothers dress there as well, and had an equally good experience getting her dress. The staff was so friendly and helpful and listened to our needs and steered us in the right direction! Theresa handled the alterations for both dresses, and she did such a great job! We ended up going above budget on both of our dresses, but it was totally worth it.

Wonderful Bridal Boutique

So happy to have found my wedding dress at Cocoa Couture! The owner and staff were professional and friendly. They truly listened to my vision and likes/dislikes and helped me find the most perfect dress! My appointment to try on dresses was actually fun and a special experience for my mother and I to share. They were wonderful in helping my mom find her mother of the bride dress! They really helped her feel beautiful and for that I am so grateful. Also, I cannot say enough good things about their seamstress! She was very flexible with my schedule as I had to drive from out of town and she made my dress fit like a glove.

Cocoa Couture is a one-stop shop for couples looking for great customer service and selection. I had picked out one of my gowns there, and we also used their rental service for the groom and groomsmen's tuxes. I ordered my gown and all accessories there, and the staff was sure to call me the minute any piece arrived. Everything was absolutely stunning. The seamstress that is contracted with the shop is so careful and really takes the time to make sure your dress fits perfectly. I would definitely recommend this shop to everyone shopping for bridal, bridesmaids, mothers, and tuxes!

I cannot say enough about Cocoa Couture. Their staff is friendly and professional and knows how to listen to what a bride wants when initially shopping for a dress. They are relatively flexible in scheduling and try their best to accomodate, though their hours aren't ideal. We bought my gown (bride), my mother's gown, and all five bridesmaid dresses from CC, inspired by my cousin, who did the same for her wedding. My aunt even found a lovely cocktail dress there for the occassion! Everyone is so friendly there (even Josh, who sometimes gets a bad rap). They took the time to get to know me and my girls and were incredibly supportive!!! In particular, Alexis was a fantastic consultant and Loula worked miracles in alterations (she basically built a beautiful new bodice for my gown from scratch).

Word of advice-- if you are wedding gown hunting during prom season, aim for a weekday daytime appointment to avoid a gaggle of crazy high schoolers. Also, weekdays are better regardless. It's a smaller salon, so Saturdays get a bit cozy between wedding gown appointments, fittings/alterations, and regular dress traffic.

My dress was designed for me personally by Daniel Thompson -- Cocoa's in-house wedding gown designer. Daniel is great and has an awesome eye for what looks amazing on you. It's not inexpensive -- I'd be prepared to drop at least 1.5K here. But the dress was customized and so worth it. One gripe is that they don't give you a choice about alterations and automatically direct you to their in-house seamstress. She's very good but quite pricey -- I paid an additional $400 in alterations costs even though my dress was custom made! Beautiful product, though!

Cocoa Couture is a beautiful boutique! There are many options and the staff is incredible, they really know what they're doing! I went there to try on dresses and was very pleased with the selection. The consultant really listened to what I said and wanted and not my guests, which I really appreciated. Although the dresses were a bit more expensive that I had anticipated them to be, I would highly recommend the boutique! They have many options and something for everyone. The staff was kind and knowledgeable and had some great things in mind after listening to what I said I wanted. I loved it there and would definitely go back!

Cocoa Couture was very welcoming to my entourage and me. They asked what I was looking for and what my budget was. They pulled dresses that I loved and stayed well within my price point. They had no problem putting me back into dresses for a second or third time. The bridal consultant that I worked with was so sweet and pulled the dress I picked. They did not pressure me into buying my dress that day. I went back later that week and purchased it.
I felt the prices for the dresses were reasonable, but the accessories are pricey. I purchased my shoes and some accessories also and had no idea the price until ringing out. If I would have known, I would have shopped around elsewhere for some items. My Mom and Mother in Law did not purchase their gowns there because they were extremely overpriced. I did not look at bridesmaids dresses there either since they started out around $250.
I did not like that they have a store dog. The dog was very nice, but almost putting my dress into the dog's water bowl was extremely nerve wracking.
Overall, the service was great and the ladies that work there are wonderful. They have a wide variety of beautiful dresses and accessories! I highly recommend them to find your dream wedding dress.

Just found the perfect wedding dress at Cocoa Couture! Sarah was a great help in selecting dresses for me to try on that fit within my budget! The staff was very helpful and friendly! Also, they are expanding their bridal collection!

Cocoa Couture was fabulous! I originally bought a dress off the rack and immediately regretting the decision. They were so understanding and accommodating and literally bent over backwards to help me find my dream dress. I've only had one fitting with Loula but so far she is fantastic. They worked within my (very small) budget and helped me find a couture dress for a very not couture budget. I would highly recommend shopping here!

Great selection of dresses and each person that helped me find my dress, alter my dress and find matching jewelry did a FANTASTIC job! Price was reasonable and the alterations were perfect! My only concern is that a few of the employees who work the front desk did not seem overly thrilled to be working in costumer service. I don't expect everyone to be as excited as the bride, but I do expect eye contact and common courtesy which was missing from at least one employee on multiple occasions. Regardless, every other person was great and I had an overall wonderful experience.

Wedding day cluster

I knew I wanted a long sleeve dress for my November wedding. This was the third shop I had visited. I found a dress that I loved, but there was another shop who had another dress which I couldn't get out of my head. Be aware, if you find a dress here and it's the last one, they won't hold the dress for you, even if you put a deposit on it. I ended up buying my dress here in fear of loosing it to another bride, as it was discontinued.

The alterations, on the other hand, were disastrous. When I tried the dress on, I had asked the in-house seamstress if she can add buttons down the back, which went okay. In my following appointments, I had stated multiple times that the belt I picked, I wanted it cut and sewn into the seams on the sides of my dress. The dress was an open-back and I didn't want the belt tied around the back. Again, seamstress said no issues. I reiterated this numerous times. Due to being ill, I was unable to make my final fitting and my fiancé picked my dress up. Fast forward to my wedding day when I opened the bag to my dress and found the belt barely hanging onto the dress and the belt was not sewn into the seams. I immediately called the seamstress and she tried to tell me I didn't tell her that's what I wanted and then she wanted me to bring her my dress to Hershey on the morning of my wedding in Dallastown. She then tried to blame the mishap on me being sick. There were little strings hanging from the bottom of the dress and the way she bustled didn't even hold throughout my reception. Thank God I had the woman's phone number who made my veil saved. She came and saved the day, fixing the other seamstress' poorly done work. After that, I noticed the boning in the back of my dress didn't stop my dress from bunching at the zipper, like the original seamstress said it would. I had mentioned letting the dress out a tiny bit to which she said it wasn't needed because it would stretch.. it didn't. To top it all off, she charged me $475 for adding boning, buttons, and tacking on a belt.

If you purchase a dress from here, be prepared to pay for your gown in full, up front. Also, I do not recommend getting your alterations done here.

Cocoa Couture was very easy to work with. I enjoyed shopping for a bridal gown and returned many times before making a decision. I wish the staff was more consistent because I did not feel like I had a relationship with them throughout my experience. Every time I went I met a new employee with a new opinion. Overall, everyone was helpful and the selection was great!

I got a beautiful wedding dress in the sale room at Cocoa Couture. I first met the staff at a bridal show and they knew their inventory and brides very well because they discussed a certain dress they had and how it would be perfect on me and guess what...it was! I would recommend checking out this shop!

Ok bridal shop- do not use seamstress

I had a fine buying experience here although my consultant (who was awesome) is no longer there. I loved my dress until I decided to listen to my consultant/owner and use their seamstress. RUN FAR AWAY from their seamstress Teressa. She absolutely ruined my $2000+ dress. She cut the length too short, did the wrong type of bustle that ruined my train with a million stitch marks and ties, and not one but both of my dress straps broke the night of my wedding (and my bust was too loose so I couldn’t hold it up without straps) !!! I called and told the seamstress and all she offered was half of my alteration charge back which was already way over priced compared to other places. The shop owner didn’t care at all even though it was her recommendation.

So just beware… if you buy there please spare yourself and take your dress somewhere else to be altered.

I had very mixed experiences purchasing my bridal gown here... At my first appointment, the salesgirls treated me like a queen and were very respectful of my budget. I found the perfect dress in their upstairs sale room, and it was a great price because it was a sample size from a discontinued line. However, it had two small rips in the side seams. The salesgirl assured me that since the rips were pre-existing, they would fix them at no charge to me, so I purchased the dress. When I called a few months later, the man I spoke to on the phone literally laughed at me and insisted it was not their policy to do that, and I would have to set up an appointment with their seamstress. After several other phone calls & speaking to a manager, it all got worked out but that was an upsetting and unprofessional experience. When I came to pick the dress up, a different salesgirl I worked with was superb and gave me lots of great suggestions for accessories, even though I wasn't planning to purchase them there. Overall, fair experience.

On my first visit I had a very positive experience but after repeated trips it became clear there are only a few star sales associates who are able to help you match you to your perfect dress.

When helping pick out dresses one sales employee made faces and snapped at me for giving my opinion on size and shoe choice. I was very put off, especially since the associate never showed other options or spoke up.

I may recommend this vendor simply because of their product line but warn about the lack of sales knowledge from all associates.

I had a mixed experience here - the sales team was super nice during our fitting appointment. They did go over my budget, but gave really great feedback and listened to my likes and dislikes. The in house seamstress was wonderful - she came out early in the morning to do my fittings with me an even helped my sisters' with their dresses. I had a hard time with the desk staff however. When calling for information, I was left on hold and given excuses. When returning calls from them about accessories, I was told they were "too busy, or short staffed to answer questions on the phone - I could come in for questions." (I was asking how wide a ribbon was they ordered in for me). Later when I was in the store and mentioned this to the staff, the staff laughed and said it was typical of the male worker there. (Who also just played on his phone while I waited to make a payment at the desk, didn't acknowledge me during the entire transaction).

Went to quite a few bridal boutiques before I found the perfect dress at Cocoa Couture. Jen was very kind and a joy to work with. However, I was encouraged to order my dress made to length to reduce alterations costs, but it was measured incorrectly for the style of dress. Because of the mistakes, I ended up paying even more.

First off, I gave 5 stars for value because my gown was a sample gown and even with all of the hand beading and intricate detailing I got a great deal on it. When it comes to the people that work there, all of the girls are fabulous! They are super friendly and will run around the store to get what you need. The guy however, has never been friendly, even though we purchased my gown, my tiara, my MOB, and 2 bridesmaids dresses there. I thought especially after dropping all of that money in one store we could have been treated a little nicer by him. If he is indeed related to the owner, he should be the nicest there since it's brides like us that keep them in business. As far as alterations, our seamstress made my gown fit like a glove (but comfortably), but she said she would fix up the beading and the beading was never touched.

1) My dress was beautiful, Janine was my sales person and she was amazing. From the first time I was in the shop up until the day of my wedding she was always professional on the phone, more than accommodating and so sweet. She really made me feel taken care of. At the end of the day my dress and the experience of getting my dress from Cocoa Couture was nothing but flawless. My dress and accessories like veil and headpiece were gorgeous.
2) MOB dress, Bridesmaids dresses and Dyable shoes - All of these dresses turned out beautiful and the shoes were dyed the exact color I wanted. My only negative experience with this aspect of dealing with Cocoa Couture is DO NOT GO IN ON A SATURDAY MORNING! My mom and I made the unfortunate mistake of going in to try on her dress on a Saturday morning, I think during prom season (still when you are spending upwards of $5,000 I really don't care if it's prom season) and the owner was quite short and rude, basically making us feel like she had no time for us and she certainly didn't have a second to answer a question or help. Needless to say I was not happy with the experience, we ended up leaving and returning during the week when the owner wasn't there and Janine was there to help ever though that wasn't her job as she dealt only with bride's dresses.
3) Tuxs - I highly recommend getting your Wedding dress from Cocoa Couture, but my honest advice would be to get your tuxs from somewhere else...anywhere else. This component of dealing with them was a nightmare. 2 out of the 11 men who ordered tuxs who got measured in Cocoa Couture by their tux person - had to order changes, that they then were told to pay extra for because it needed to be overnighted. Originally we were told the tuxs would come in the Friday before the week of the wedding - they only came in on Wednesday. NIGHTMARE, use another tux rental

Made Me Feel Uncomfortable

Each visit to Cocoa Couture eventually got better, but that's because the bar was so low to begin with. Their hours, first of all, are rather inflexible particularly if you're driving into the area from work. I got engaged mid-January and one of the first weeks in February I scheduled an appointment to look for a dress for my July 4th wedding. I emailed the boutique with styles I liked, knowing Maggie Sotterro was a favorite designer of mine, and asked if they had any in stock or ones that would be available in time for the wedding. Whoever responded was good, said it wouldn't be an issue that they had dresses that could come in on time and they'd pass that along to the person who would be helping me that day. I arrive for my appointment and waited what felt like 10 minutes before anyone decided to acknowledge us. Several employees looked at us and then continued on walking by so my friends and I awkwardly stood around waiting. Eventually we got in, but the woman helping us sucked any and all magic out of the experience. She rushed us, didn't even pull a ball gown which I specifically told her I wanted to try that silhouette just to see if it would work, AND halfway through the appointment when she asked when my wedding was (seriously.. how was this info not given to her or on the appt sheet she was looking at??) she started having a meltdown in front of us freaking out saying none of the dresses could come in on time! She started giving US anxiety with how much she was freaking out. I tried on three dresses total, the last dress I did end up buying. I had no "this is it moment" and the helper essentially just stood there staring at my blankly as I kept telling her that I'd get this dress.. like.. you think she'd be happy she made a sale at the least? When the dress finally came in (over two weeks late from when they told me it would arrive.. also I had to call in and check because no one kept me updated!) I'm convinced it was a size too small. Their amazing seamstress, Teresa, was able to let it out as much as possible because I literally couldn't walk in it. All the ladies kept saying was, "Well that's the style now. At least you look great in it with it being so form-fitting." WTH. Seriously, I don't care what excuse you come up with, the fact is the dress isn't the right size. I've been the same weight for years, I weighed myself over the course of the wedding planning and didn't fluctuate more than 2 pounds, so it wasn't any significant body changes as to why I didn't fit two months later from when they measured me. My final fitting there was a woman bawling in a dressing room over what sounded like her dress being several sizes too large. The sales woman basically said, "Oh well." The whole experience from start to finish was not good. The dresses are phenomenal but that's a plus to the designers and has nothing to do with Cocoa Couture. Absolutely skip this place unless you want a bad experience.

I felt that the seamstress that I used was great! She was really friendly and helpful. However she's not employed by Cocoa Couture. I felt as though I was a bother to them. Nothing was special about me looking for gowns in their shop. They didn't even have me look for gowns with an associate, they had a seamstress look with me. Even though I had an appointment! They tried to push their in house designer on me, and although I would have loved to have him make me a gown...It was way out of my price range and I felt that my budget would have been laughed at. I knew they sold dresses in my budget because of friends who have gotten gowns from their. So I was really shocked that they were reluctant to show me other gowns. I would have appreciated that they ask me in a nice manner what my budget was in private. NOT in front of the designer! He waws almost triple what I could afford. I finally found a sample dress that fit perfect and looked beautiful...I of course bought it because it was perfect. They have beautiful gowns...that I was impressed with...once they started showing me other gowns. I was annoyed that they didn't have more plus size sample sizes. They had a few bigger sizes and then a bunch of size 16's. I really was upset with the customer service from here on out with them. I ordered my other accessories here and they were so irresponsible with calling me back and helping me further with these issues. The young man that works there at the front desk was awful at first...you can tell he's a family member of the companies owner. After a while the staff became more friendly with me, after they saw me all the time for fittings. I had ordered my headpiece and viel from there and when I called to see if it was there they told me no...then I called two days later and they said it had been there for a week! I wouldn't have been too upset but I was getting very close to our wedding day at this point!

I loved my gown..it was of great qaulity...they need to practise better customer service though. They have a couple really nice people there...but the bad ones really sour everything!

Stay away!!! The only time I had a good experience with this store was during my appointment with Danielle. She was amazing! I would highly recommend her. The owner Jill is very professional and easy to work with when there was a mistake made by the company with my dress. My mom had a terrible experience working with the gentleman at the store. He's completely unprofessional and doesn't understand the word customer service. It wasn't that he would accommodate what needed to be done, it was his communication that is less than acceptable. I would shop there for a dress, but would not purchase from the store.

Let me first start by saying that purchasing the dress was an amazing experience. I went with two of my bridesmaids. The owner helped us. That experience was phenomenal. She showed me dresses that were within my budget and brought me dresses that I might not have tried on otherwise. When I chose "the one" she brought us champagne. All of their dresses are BEAUTIFUL.

My bridesmaids and I went back for them to get fitted for their dresses. The man who input the orders into the computer was not friendly at all. He insisted on ordering one of my bridesmaids a size 18, when she fit into a similar dress by the same designer in a size 14. He wouldn't budge on the sizing. We ended up ordering the same dresses elsewhere (my bridesmaid did order the 14 and ended up having to have it taken in).

I can't say enough good things about their seamstress Lula. She basically had to remake my dress and was AMAZING. The dress was beautiful and you couldn't even tell anything was done to it.

I was told I could leave my dress at the store until Friday before my wedding. The plan was to pick the dress up from there and take it directly to the hotel and leave it there overnight. I arrived to pick the dress up on Friday and they had changed their hours for the summer. I will irritated, but I didn't call to confirm their hours. My wedding coordinator went to pick it up on Saturday for me. They "didn't know" my wedding was that day. I don't know how this was, because the date never changed and they had the date of the wedding when I ordered the dress. The dress was never pressed or steamed and it had been in the bag the whole time. Nothing was done about this mix-up and the hotel ended up steaming it for 5.5 hours. This is no exaggeration. To me, a very easy solution would've been to steam it there ASAP and then deliver it to the hotel since the hotel is also in Hershey. Their customer service is less than desirable. Nothing was done to make the situation better. My dress was literally done being steamed in enough time for me to put it on, take a few pre-wedding pictures, and walk down the aisle.

In my opinion, if you pay a premium for a service or product, than it should be worth it. While their dresses are beautiful, their customer service is NOT up to par.

The women that work to assist are wonderful and helpful. The management and owner...not so much. I bought a sample dress that normally retails for $2800, for $2000. The dress had some wear, and ripped beading, and I saw that when I bought it. However, when I took it to a seamstress where I live, they pointed out the dress had a very large stain taken out in the front near an upper leg that had damaged the silk texture and color. I called the store back and told them about what I learned, and that I was surprised they were selling highly damaged dresses. The GM, Josh, was EXTREMELY rude, and essentially told me they "had a business a run" and the had already given me a huge discount. I got off the phone crying, and felt cheated by the company. Ladies, just go in eyes wide open.

I bought a dress from this shop but their sizing was completely off. I am not sure what they used to pick the sizing, but this was ridiculous. I told the guy that I was a size 4, that I understand that with the dress sizes, being European, you have to go up a couple sizes but the end result was completely wrong. The guy said I should get a size 12 even after I insisted that was wrong....I could understand a size 8 maybe. The dress fell completely off, the sizing wasn't even close. There are no refunds or size exchanges so think long and hard if you want to be stuck with a dress that you will never wear.

When searching for a place to find THE DRESS for one of the most special days of my life, I came across Cocoa Couture in Hershey. A friend of mine had just gotten her dress there made by Daniel Thompson last year and I was excited to try on his creations at one of his trunk shows. Their service was not very good, they didn't treat me special in any way. I found one of Daniel's lace dresses to be PERFECT for the occasion and was told they would call me once the dress came in. They never called. I had to call them, remind them when I needed my dress and book my appointment to come in for a first fitting. That should have been my first warning sign. Then when I did come in for the fitting, they made the dress 4 inches, yes FOUR inches too small. Whoever took my measurements back in February was not thinking right or mixed me up with someone else because I could barely get it zipped up. After I asked to not pay for alterations since it was their fault and they conceded, suddenly and magically they had another dress made from scratch for me in MY measurements 2 weeks later. I think they simply had the wrong dress shipped up from Florida or something. In any case, they still made me pay for alterations even after that HORRIBLE experience and didn't treat me special in any way whatsoever. They also gave me the floor sample belt to use that I had wanted back in February because no one had ordered it for me — and barely knocked off 10% even though it was a FLOOR SAMPLE. I am not knocking the dress in any way — it was still a beautiful dress and I was very happy with the final product. But as a bride, going to any other shop, they seemed to treat you with somewhat more courtesy and customer service. Cocoa Couture didn't make me feel special at all as a bride and I highly DO NOT recommend them for your bridal boutique. Maybe for prom or mother of the bride dresses, but not your wedding dress.

Cocoa Couture has some wonderful and very beautiful dresses. It's unfortunate that there service was so terrible and the experience I had was awful! The bridesmaid dresses were ordered in the wrong color and came in late - a WEEK before my wedding!!! They had their seamstress attempt to make the dresses in the correct color, however the fit was terrible and my girls had issues with their dresses all night! They never even gave us a refund. PLEASE take this review into consideration before choosing a dress from cocoa.

When I had first scheduled my appointment I had sent them a list of style numbers of dresses to pull so that I could make my appointment timely however when I got there they had no idea what I wanted and had nothing pulled for me and they didn't even have any of the dresses that I had asked for originally when they told me they did on the phone. When we first walked in we were not greeted and the guy sitting behind the front desk was un responsive and rude. All of the staff were dressed very unprofessionally as well and quite frankly looked sloppy. When my consultant was in the back helping me try on dresses we had told her several things that we were and we're not looking for in a dress. When we had asked her for a specific style she tried to tell us that they didn't make that type of wedding dress and five minutes later we found one exactly like we were asking for on the rack by ourselves. She also had no knowledge of what we were looking for or what she was doing. When I was in the back trying on dresses my cusaltant Brittney also tried to inform me that I was taking too long to make a selection And trying on too many different types and that there were other appointments waiting. Even if I would have found the dress of my dreams I would've found it somewhere else to purchase. If you were looking for high price dresses with crappy service you should go here For sure.

After purchasing my wedding gown 3 years prior at Cocoa Couture- one that was specially designed and made by Daniel Thompson, I expected the same polite, kind, and considerate business practice this experience. I went to Cocoa Couture to find a bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding where we were all to find a long gown in the color blush. I ordered a beautiful dress JLM couture. There was a 6 month order period, so I paid extra for 2 month shipping to ensure I would have the dress in time. I had to keep following up with CC about where my dress was, and it did not arrive until 4 months AFTER I had ordered it. Then, the front part of the dress was almost a foot longer than the back and despite being 5'8'' tall and with heels, I kept tripping over it. I called to speak with the opener, as this was not how the sample dress was and would not make sense as to why a dress would be designed this way. She called JLM and was told that is the way the dress is to be and there was nothing else they could do, that I would need to have it "cut off" if I didn't like it. To help you understand, it is not an aspect that can just be hemmed as it was an additional wave accent on front of dress. So BEWARE: do NOT purchase bridesmaid dresses from here. They will come defective and no one will help you make it right. I would NOT recommend this place. I have now had to go purchase a different dress from Macy's. Extremely disappointed and out $300 on a dress not manufactured correctly and not backed up by Cocoa Couture.

The lady who helped us was so rude! We did the Brides across America and the lady kept getting snippy with us and saying that we couldn't be picky because the dressed were "free" Not a good experience! Never again!

What I thought was a great place turned into one of the worse places to deal with. Owner Jill is very unprofessional along with her Accountant. I would highly recommend not going there. I wish I would of went on what people told me about the place, the only nice thing about the place was Brittany.

The dresses that this shop sells may be beautiful, but the experience they provide for the entire wedding party will only bring frustration and tears. A friend decided to purchase her gown and all of the bridesmaids' dresses here (3 of whom could not come in for a fitting) - out of six bridesmaids, the dress shop only ordered two dresses in the correct sizes (even though they had take the measurements themselves). Once the mistake was brought to their attention, they refused to exchange the dresses, saying it was not their fault and blaming the mistake on a former employee - yet, the girls were sized in the store and were assured their dresses would fit perfectly. All of the dresses were ordered for girls who typically wear sizes 4, 6 and 8 - the shop chose to order 4 sizes larger for these four people. I was never allowed to exchange my dress, although I spent an obscene amount for the flimsy thing. I was actually laughed at by one of the associates with whom I dealt. She said that if I had the dress altered by their seamstress it would look wonderful; I realized that they ordered our dresses larger so as to make more money from their in-house seamstress. When I stated I no longer wanted the dress because I found it elsewhere ($80 cheaper), the associate refused to let me return it. No alterations had been made and it would have cost nothing to ship it back to the manufacturer (I asked). She said it was the "principle" of the matter, not the cost. I believe that because I was from out of town, they were not concerned with any future business from me; therefore, I was treated terribly. I wonder if the owner has any idea what type of people he hires to work in his store? Be very careful when buying a gown from here. The associates are all smiles until they get your credit card number and then they refuse to allow returns/exchanges/alterations for any reason (unless, of course, you shell out more money). This store is too much stress for mediocre products.

DO NOT GO TO COCOA COUTURE!!!!! They never measured me, then later made up numbers to fit their needs, a good bit off from my actual measurements. (how can you gain 8 inches in your bust in 5 months and still be same bra cup, band, and shirt size while not being pregnant or getting a boob job?) The dress they ordered me was at least 1 size too small. They could not get me my correct size dress. And the alterations that they said they would pay for in order for the dress to be made my size, so I could even get in the dress, THEY THEN REFUSED TO PAY!!! The Consultants were lovely ladies, Their manager on the other hand was a RUDE, INSULTING person that should never have been in that job to begin with.

I am contacting you to let you know that I called in on Saturday make sure I did not need an appointment to bring in my bridesmaids to check out your selections. I was told there was no customers on the bridesmaid side. I thought great, we'll be able to look at the selection and have a consultant focused just on us. However, I was completely wrong. When we arrived someone said hello & asked how they could help us. I explained we called a half hour ago & stated I was bringing in my bridesmaids to look at your selection. A girl showed us where the dresses were and then disappeared. We looked at the selection, found a few dresses my bridesmaids and I liked so I had them try them on. The only employee that walked into the bridesmaid room was an employee who was talking one her cell phone. However, no one had come back in to check on us. When I looked at the prices of the dresses no matter how much I liked a dress there was no way I would let my girls pay that much for a dress when no one had the decency to check on us. The quality of the dresses was the same at some other stores but your price was almost double for a few dresses. When we went to leave, no one said a word to us.

I'm not an angry person & it takes a lot for me to show it, but I was and still am mad about my experience. I'm not the type of person that writes bad reviews, but I had to let others know how we were treated. I will not recommend your shop to anyone I know. There are plenty of other bridal fashion stores in the area with better service for the prices.

Please heed my warning about the plethora of issues we had with this shop.
We had so many problems that I cannot express them all, in detail, in this space. The first visit was good and Jen was helpful, so we ordered my dress there, as they were one of the only shops that carried the premier designer I liked. Then, it all went downhill. They never got the bridesmaids dress samples in that were promised, after I called them multiple times to follow up. They never once called back. They didn't call when my veil came in and 7 months later, I had to call them. My dress came in 2 months late (10 months after ordering) but not until I continuously called to follow up with them. I received a voicemail that they added a 10% charge to my dress due to not being paid and that I couldn't have my first fitting, after my fitting had taken place and we had tried to pay them. Then, and worst of all, the day before my wedding we went to pick up my dress and they tried to give it to me balled in a bag with my veil. They said they didn't know I was coming, and when I pointed to my name in their appointment book, the owner said, oh well I'm sure it's written there but we haven't looked at this at all today. We had to go back 3 times that day just to get everything because they kept insisting it was all in one bag, when my undergarment was not. No apologies and they kept saying, over this entire year, it wasn't their fault each time us asked for an issue to be resolved. I would urge you not to go there, even for a good designer, as you will worry the entire year and nothing will be done properly or on time. One or two minor issues is understandable, but this was the worst vendor I worked with over the 15 months of planning for my wedding! Save yourself money, time, and grief by choosing a shop worthy of your business who understands good customer service and will celebrate your big day, instead of causing issues every step of the way.

Coco Couture hands down was the best bridal shop experience ever. Jackie and the entire staff did whatever they could to make me feel so special. I truly felt like a bride :)
I HIGHLY recommend visiting this shop to any bride, they have a great selection and worked with my price point. I felt no pressure when trying on the gowns, nor did I feel rushed. Jackie was more than wonderful to work with; she was professional and super sweet!
My experience was something I will never forget!!
