Amazing Reception Venue - Great Staff!

We wanted the perfect mix of affordability, a beautiful venue, and amazing food for our wedding reception and Club Venetian had it all. We had heard great comments about their food and it did not disappoint. I heard LOTS of compliments from quests. The reception space is lovely and the team there was so wonderful to work with. From early on with planning to the many calls, meetings and emails in the weeks leading up to the event, they were friendly, helpful, accommodating, patient and definitely experts in planning and hosting events especially weddings! From the event planner to the team answering phones and those setting up the room, everyone was great to work with. Definitely recommend Club Venetian for your wedding! Thanks especially to Rita and Linda who were our main points of contact.

Best Banquet Venue for Wedding

We had our wedding at Club Venetian Saturday, December 7, 2019 and it was amazing. The staff was so helpful. We dropped all of our decor items off the day prior and they decorated exactly how I wanted it. It was amazing that they knew my exact vision and brought it to life. Linda and Angie were amazing through the planning process and day off organization.

Food was more than amazing, all the guests loved it!

Professionalism At Its Finest

We absolutely LOVED this facility!!! I did a little research before making my initial visit to the site. I live about 1.5 hours away so I had to make sure this was one that I wanted to stop by. I'm so glad that I did. Linda was an absolute ANGEL. I couldn't have asked for more but I received more with Bill and Kim. Everything was PERFECT. I was worried because I didn't get around to tasting the food in advance before making my selections but it didn't matter because I'm two weeks out from my wedding and still getting calls about the meal. Club Venetian put on a food display out of this world. The roast beef and gravy with garlic mashed potatoes are the best I've ever had. I mean melt in your mouth good. The service staff were extremely accommodating and the bathrooms were spotless which gives them double bonus points far as I'm concerned. If I ever have to host another dinner event I will plan to have it right here with these guys.

I cannot say enough positive things!!!!

Where do I begin. My first impression of Club Venetian was Linda. She was warm, accepting, funny and kind. Besides the other great reviews and the awesome venue itself, she was part of the reason we booked. Linda and Bill made the whole experience easy and fun. They are professional and just overall great people to work with. The food was AMAZING, I am still receiving compliments about the chicken piccata and beef tenderloin. Every staff member I came in contact with was wonderful and extremely friendly. The room and lighting were absolutely beautiful. The guests loved the late night station and the photo booth. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Club Venetian. Thank you so much to Linda and Bill for making this the best day of our lives!!

Bill and staff were super accommodating and great to work with for my wedding!! He made me feel at ease and in good hands for the entire year we planned it. Venue was beautiful, food was amazing and drinks and bartenders were perfect. My 400 guests had a great time!! Would definitely recommend this venue for any event!!!

The team at Club Venetian was incredible! They made sure every detail of our wedding day was flawless, and checked in with us regularly during our event to ensure we were happy and didn't need anything. We completely trusted Bill and Kim to handle our wedding, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our big day!

Carol the administrator was very helpful and even added a nice surprise for our wedding and I was very impressed and grateful. We received a ton of praise from our guest that the food was some of the best they have ever had at wedding. And the service staff did a great job too. I would highly recommend Club Venetian to anyone.

Bill and Linda were amazing to work with. They were extremely accommodating and flexible with any last minute requests we had. Club Venetian truly made our wedding reception a party. The food was delicious and everyone was served at the same time, so no tables were hungrily waiting their turn :)

Club Venetian is great! Bill & Linda were wonderful to work with during the planning phase. Everything was handled professionally . We didn't have to worry about a thing which made for a very enjoyable wedding. The service staff the night of the wedding were outstanding. And the food was delicious. Everything exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this venue.

They were friendly and easy to work with. Bill worked with my husband to bring in microbrews since my husband's a home brewer and loves beer tastings. He helped my husband plan a surprise for me. Things went smoothly. We were able to setup the day before, and the hall let us have some rented furniture picked up the following Monday instead of that night or the next day saving us money. The food was amazing. I just wish we could have gotten to sit down and really eat, but being interrupted by family and friends prevented that.

I'm proud to say that I've been coming to the Club Venetian for almost 40 years for family social events, bridal showers, golf outings, weddings, etc., so it was a "no brainer" decision for my husband and I to select the Club Venetian for our wedding. The service is exceptional, the food is delicious, the friendly staff is so helpful that they treat you like family, and the atmosphere is beautiful! I would highly recommend Club Venetian to anybody for any social event.

I had a birthday celebration for my husband at Club Venetian. I have been there on many other occasions and always had a great experience. I worked with Bill and Kim Marchiori who helped me with the menu, room arrangement and decorating, and offered other special items for the party. The presentation of the buffet was beautiful. I had so many compliments from family and friends who loved the food! The wait staff and bartender did a wonderful job. Their chocolate fountain is fabulous and we had a juke box that played during brunch.
The halls are beautifully decorated and it is a great place to have any type of party. I might be having a 40th wedding anniversary party in the near future and I am looking forward to going back to Club Venetian for that party.

My wife and I live in Maryland but wanted to celebrate our big day in Michigan with our family and friends. We got in touch with Linda and she was great; very very helpful in planning our big day! Our day went off without any problems and it was wonderful!!!! We would recommend this venue for any occasion. The staff was very helpful and polite. Elizabeth was our hands on person the day of the wedding and she was great. Thanks again to everyone

Our reception was amazing! Bill, the Manager was so friendly and great to work with! The hall looked like it was out of a magazine and the food was incredible. People kept raving about it!! I would choose them again!

We had our wedding reception at 707 East Banquet Center in downtown Detroit which is catered by Club Venetian and I was thoroughly pleased with every interaction with them! The food was by far the best wedding food I've EVER had!! Most of my guests said the same thing too. The venue itself is gorgeous and the price was extremely affordable! Every staff member we came in contact with was nice and attentive and it was such a good feeling knowing that one of the most important days of your life is being handled by such hard working, dedicated people. We would definitely use this venue/caterer in the future for whatever event we plan.

I have been to Club on several occasions. Weddings, scrapbooking events, and special dinners throughout the past few years. Shannon's cooking it TOP notch. I have had everything from crab legs, lobster tails, fish, steak, pasta, salad, soup, etc. I have never had anything bad. Its amazing that banquet food can be so great and fresh when serving such large groups. I will recommend this place to anyone that will listen. And I will never turn down a change to go so I can taste some of the marvelous food that Shannon prepares!

I was very pleased with how fast all our guests were served, the food came out very quickly. Dawn was attending the head table and she was absolutely amazing, she completed every request we had. She was very professional and I could tell that it was important to her that the bride and groom be happy. I was very pleased with the quality and taste of the food, the only complaint I had was that our beef tenderloin came out cold. The meat ravioli and the chicken piccata were my favorites!

My son's graduation party was very well attended and we had an excellent experience with the wait staff and entire planning committee. The food was excellent and it turns out people told us although they had other parties to attend that day when they heard the party was at Club Venetian they made sure they attended. Thanks for surpassing our expectations. We will be back for other family events!!!

The food arrived on time and the staff that delivered it and set up were professional. Everyone at the party raved about the food! It WAS delicious. And the amount was ample. We are from Las Vegas and had to finalize everything over telephone and emails. Linda the manager made everything so easy and convenient. We had no problems at this venue.
We ordered the platinum family style dinner package which included cold and hot appetizers, soup, salad, 2 entrees, 2 sides, desert and deluxe open bar. The package also included chair covers and late night pizza buffet. The food was so delicious and the soup is still being talked about, one month later!!

The service was excellent! The food was even better. I got so many compliments on the venue itself,and the food. Linda was the best! I have no complaints at all and would def recommend Club Venetian to everyone. Bill was very accommodating as well. We received everything we asked for.

Linda at Club Venetian is fantastic to work with. This place offers a great reception and the cost is very reasonable. My family and friends are still raving about our wedding. The service, bar, food, and chocolate fountain were a huge hit! Dawn took great care of us at the reception. I highly recommend this place to any bride looking for a great wedding reception location.

Club Venetian was fantastic to work with! Linda, Bill and team made us so comfortable hosting our 300 person reception. They truly are pros and were extremely helpful with recommendations when making decisions on details of our event. They were very accommodating to all of our vendors. I had an amazing wedding at 707 East Banquet Center in Greektown. It is coordinated and run by Club Venetian. Linda is a wonderful coordinator and really helped me have the day I wanted.

Food was great, late night snack was INCREDIBLE. The only complaint I have is that we purchased cake for every single guest and the first couple tables had HUGE pieces. This resulted in several tables not getting cake at all. Very disappointing, and I truly think it was because of the huge first pieces.

HOWEVER, book this venue if you can. Truly a hidden gem downtown with FABULOUS pricing.

Food was amazing and the price per person for buffet was perfect! Beautiful venue with neutral colors that will work well with any scheme. Mine was black and white with the accent of red and everything turned out great! Loved working with Bill, Linda and Kim.

Good value , one stop shop

Club Venetian was perfect. The space is beautiful, food was delicious, and staff was top notch, and everything was affordable. We had a business dinner here and we can be a bit of a high maintenance group. Every one at Club Venetian went above and beyond to meet our needs. We will be coming back.

Great venue and GREAT value!! We had a 220+ guests at a Fall wedding and Club Venetian was the perfect place for our venue! They helped set up, answered all our questions and really got the most bang for our buck!! Beautiful location and AMAZING food! One small negative, we asked them to put a mint (that had our wedding logo on it) on everyone's plate before arriving and they did not. In the grand scheme of things, it was a trivial matter. The rest of the wedding was flawless.

Linda was amazing!!! She was with me along the way through all of my planning. This team of professionals were willing to bend over backwards for our big day!!! I was a guest at a wedding to 707, a venue catered by Club Venetian in downtown Detroit on 08/09/14. The location was awesome, never knew of it before. The food was delicious! I've been to lots of weddings, but this food ranked at the top. The servers were nice, as were the bartenders. My only complaint is that I heard the older bartender tell the bride and her family that they had to get out in five minutes in a very rude manner. It was off-putting. Other than that, the place was great.

Our entire wedding planning and reception experience with Club Venetian was wonderful. Linda, who runs the front office, was very helpful in answering our questions and providing assistance when needed. Bill, the owner, was extremely friendly, and did everything in his power to make us feel at home in their facility. The catering services were fantastic; the food was delicious. All the day-of coordination went without any hitches, and we had a wonderful reception without any major problems or issues at all. Club Venetian is a bit on the pricey side, but you definitely get your money's worth.

Club Venetian was great to work with. We decorated ourselves and were able to get in 1/2 the hall on Friday night. I was planning on having friends finish the other 1/2 on Saturday morning. They ended up having a funeral luncheon Saturday morning. Bill had told me not to worry that he would make sure everythijng was in place by the time my guest arrived. He was good on his word! You could not tell which side was done by me or which side was done by Club V.
Our guest have been raving over the food and service that was provided that evening.
Thank you Bill, Linda and Staff for making our daughters wedding her dream come true.

First of all Linda was the best! She was always there when we had a question and ready to help us. We also met the owner Bill and found him very accommodating and fair. The other unforgettable person was our host Dawn, she was so sweet and wonderful! Thank you for making my wedding reception so memorable!

Great location for our wedding reception. They were very flexible and made sure all went very smoothly. Though we thought the only flaw may have been the kitchen was a bit overrun that night the food was great. Much better than typical wedding food.

Linda went over and beyond...it was tough for all parties because everyone was from out of state. I wish this venue MUCH SUCCESS!!! I could not have asked for a better place!! My scoring would have been a perfect 5 but I took some guests comments into consideration but from my perspective...A PERFECT 10 (not 5)!!!

I loved working with Linda. The servers were very nice and attentive. My wedding day was just how I planned it thanks to their cooperation and service. The price is excellent for everything that is included. The food was the best wedding food I have ever had, and I've been to quite a few weddings. Definitely would recommend and use them again.

The wedding was wonderful, the people were great to work with and would not hesitate to have another function there.

The bartenders were hilarious. I hope the food and venue for the next wedding lives up to Club Venetian.

We held our son's graduation party at Club Venetian. The food was excellent, we could not have asked for better service. We will return for future events.

Club Venetian was great to work with. We had many last minute adjustments and the staff at Club Venetian was able to adjust to them with no problem. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in the Detroit area.

We worked with Linda at Club V and she was great. We had some family members that were not able to come into town at the last mintue and they worked with us on the contract and price. The food was great, the staff was so nice and they made sure things were set up well in advance and even set out my centerpieces and favors. I didn't need to worry about a thing as it was all taken care of. They worked with all of our vendors on set up times etc so we didn't need to worry. I would recommend this place to anyone - the hall is great, the food and the staff.

Office manager Linda is very warm and professional. She is easy to work with and very acccomodating. We love her. The wedding banquet went smoothly, everything was good. My cake company forget to deliver the extra quarter sheet, we did not realize until cake cutting time. Liz, our event coordinator managed to cut the cake enough for everyone. She is very helpful. The facility is beautiful, roomy and comfortable, all staff were friendly and attentive. My guests were very happy.

Linda is the best!!!!!!!!!!? We had our Ceremony and Wedding and it was more than I could ask for. Everyone was so nice and kind. I was running late and they worked with me. I didnt like the food much, but the pizza station was very delicious. Overall, Im very happy with Club Venetian and I would definitely recommend it!!

Overall my event was great. I did have to jump through several hoops though at the beginning, and thought that could have been better. There were also lots of date changes of meetings with me, and I didn't like that. But the day of the event everything was perfect!

Lied about Gluten-Free and Bar Options

BEWARE - GLUTEN-FREE not honored at the facility - Their menu clearly stated that several items were gluten-free, but upon selecting the Roast Beef for this very reason we learned onsite that it was not, nor had it ever been a gluten-free dish. Luckily our guest with a severe allergy inquired before eating it. Unfortunately that meant all he could eat was salad...

Also the bar we selected was supposed to have 4 beers on tap, we started the night with 3, but within the first hour one broke and an hour after that another went dry and was not replaced, leaving us with only one beer remaining. They closed the bar an hour before our event was scheduled to end, effectively squashing the festivities. They were clearing tables and making guests feel rushed to leave 30 minutes before the event was scheduled to end.

In general, the hall is in nice condition, clean bathrooms, the food was good for those of us who could eat it. Management offered words of sympathy for their poor service, but were not willing to compensate us for their shortcomings.

Some friends were married this past weekend (8/16/14) in a ceremony held at Misty Farms in Ann Arbor, and had Club Venetian provide the food. Though there was a fair amount of travel involved, the chicken, potatoes, and beef were moist, flavorful, hot, and enjoyable. The pasta also was very delicious. However, the food is the only thing I can praise about Club Venetian. I'm giving them 5 stars based on their willingness to travel a large distance.

The staff that was on site was a total joke. Their appearance on a whole was disheveled and they didn’t seem to care at all about reputation. We could clearly see that several of the staff were under the influence (to the point that you could even smell it), they were smoking in the middle of the party, and using vulgar language in a family setting. The waitstaff also had a very lackadaisical approach to refilling the food, as several of us had to wait for extended times because they seemingly forgot what they were doing, or just didn’t care. While there were some staff actually working, it was annoying to me as a guest that I would have to wait for food while two of the staff were canoodling outside of the barn. It seemed very disrespectful and unprofessional, especially as it would appear that the gentleman might’ve been the manager (I make this assumption based on him watching the staff and yelling at them). While the food left a great taste in my mouth, the staff’s terrible customer service overpowered that sensation. I would recommend the food, and could even see myself hiring them for that in the future, but I would never hire their staff.
