The best way to elevate your Wedding!

We had the pleasure of having the Cloud Gate String Quartet provide Ceremony and Cocktail hour music for our May 2025 wedding and it elevated the entire event to another level! They were able to play string versions of popular modern songs, I got to watch my now-wife walk down the aisle to "POV", it was truly a magical moment. Live music makes a BIG difference and this string quartet executed at the highest level. Thank you so much for making our day so special!

Very impressed!

We hired Cloud Gate String Quartet to play music for our ceremony and cocktail hour on our wedding day, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made. Their playing technique was exceptional, bringing a rich, elegant atmosphere to our ceremony and cocktail hour. Our guests loved how they brought a Bridgerton vibe to the event!

Gavon, the manager, was very responsive to our requests and questions leading up to the wedding. He and the musicians even managed to arrange a carpool to help us reduce parking costs. Their timeliness and reliability were also a huge relief on such an important day, allowing us to relax and enjoy each moment.

Lastly, the wide selection of songs in their repertoire is simply unmatched, and that was one of the main reasons we booked them. We specifically wanted a string quartet that can play not only the classical pieces, but also songs from animation and games that we love (Joe Hisaishi, Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy). Cloud Gate’s repertoire was the only one that had everything we wanted, and they also played them with virtuosity. Needless to say how happy we were hearing them playing these special songs on our wedding day.

Amazing string quartet

We hired Cloud Gate to play for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They were professional and talented, and our guests raved about them. Their repertoire is very expansive - you can request songs from all different genres, including pop, rock, musical numbers, and of course classical music. They always responded quickly to communication and their online forms made the process straightforward. Would highly recommend!

Cloud Gate is a must!!

We were so happy to find Cloud Gate to perform at our wedding. One of the things that we were really impressed with was their huge song selection! They have such a wide variety of genres of music that it was really hard to narrow down which ones we wanted them to play. Ross was great to work with and was very responsive to our emails. Having a string quartet created such a romantic vibe and our guests really enjoyed it. We were very happy with them and would definitely recommend them to anyone. You won’t be sorry!

Raving complements on our wedding day!

My wife Jenny and I together with our guests loved the performance of the Cloud Gate String Quartet in our wedding at Odyssey Lake Michigan last July 14th. We were both lucky to be with them during the cocktail hour and reception which made our big day very elegant and romantic. Though we have booked them just two weeks before the event, Ross and the quartet were able to accommodate our requests to play in addition to the classical and modern pieces but also the a well-known Filipino piece entitled "Ikaw at Ako" (You and I) with raving complements from our guests.

WOW...what an amazing group! We had Cloud Gate play pre-post wedding ceremony and we could not be happier! They were such a talented and professional group and they made my day one to remember! So many people at my wedding had so many great things to say about their music! The planning process was very easy with Ross and their music selection was huge!! Would rebook in a heartbeat!

Excellent string quartet!!

What else can I say except this is a top notch string quartet. They were responsive right from the get go and were able to accommodate all of our requests. We had some late changes to the musical set (by late we are talking about the day before) and they absolutely nailed it. To top it off, they didn't flinch at playing a three hour set for us which I don't believe is common. All of our guests commented on how great they sounded...which let me know I made the correct choice with this group. I highly recommend them for any event where you want to take it up notch in classiness.

Wonderful string trio

We hired Cloud Gate to play as people arrived and through the ceremony. We chose to do the trio as it fit into our budget better, however the sound was still full and lovely! We picked out songs for them to play as guests arrived, as well as the processional songs! They were really great to work with and the music was beautiful!

Excellent String Quartet

Cloudgate String Quartet did a tremendous job taking our ceremony music to the next level. They arrived early and were very accommodating with the outdoor setup we had for them. They played all of the songs we requested and really help set the tone for a wonderful day. If you are in need of a string quartet that will add some class and flair above and beyond the usual pre-recorded music you often hear at a wedding ceremony, hire this group with confidence. They played beautifully and we will be recommending them to all of our friends and family going forward.

They were on time, and absolutely incredible musicians. Ross Tesorio was our contact and handled arrangements perfectly. Our large wedding gathering sought me out to compliment them time and time again. Definitely gave the reception the class we were looking for. 100 stars.

Outdoor Wedding

We are so pleased with the quality and selection of music the quartet player for our daughter’s wedding at Butterfield Country Club. The quartet played outdoors for the ceremony and then for the cocktail reception. We have received so many compliments from our guests. We had a mix of classical and contemporary music selections and the performance was flawless. What a nice group of musicians and thank you Ross at Cloud Gate for making our wedding reception a huge success!

Beautiful music

Incredible music, highly professional.

I would highly recommend Cloud Gate! They were incredibly easy to work with. In terms of the quality of the music, Cloud Gate are excellent musicians, a head above what I've heard at any other wedding (and I've been to a lot!) They really created the perfect, romantic atmosphere during the ceremony and cocktail hour. All my friends commented on the beautiful music -- truly unforgettable.

Talented and Dependable

Cloud Gate was fantastic to work with. When I initially couldn't afford them they responded with an alternative approach to meet my budget, which very rarely happens in the wedding vendor space. They played beautifully (and I come from a family of musicians so the standards were very high). I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them.

Set the tone for our Big Day.

Cloud Gate is a great choice to set the tone for your day whether you want to be more traditional or go non-traditional as we did. Our day was a music extravaganza (music was a main theme) with 3 musical acts. Although they do play classical music, by request, Cloud Gate started us off with a variety of pop songs on strings for our ceremony. Our crowd loved the mix of traditional strings with current hits. We had a tricky order for the ceremony in that the group had to break for me to sing with a track that my DJ played, and follow my song with an entrance song that they played. The quartet did not miss a beat and we would recommend them. Watch your timing, if you go over for whatever reason, there is a charge.

The quartet provided such a beautiful musical score for our wedding. We loved them. Our guests loved them. Received so many compliments from friends and family alike. Easy and responsive booking. Arrived on time and ready to perform. Very flexible with our requests for songs and even blended with the organ and choir in spots. If you would like to take your ceremony beyond the usual, I would give them my strongest recommendation.

The quartet was perfect. Leading up to the wedding, all questions or comments that I had were handled extremely fast. For the day of, the quartet was early and set up in plenty of time. And, the music was absolutely beautiful! Thanks for helping make our day so awesome.

We absolutely loved Cloud Gate Quartet! We had a trio play at our wedding on June 30th 2018. They are such amazing musicians. I can't speak highly of them enough! Ross was so helpful and responsive with emails. He the process so easy. The day of the wedding I was blown away of how eloquently the musicians played for our ceremony. They are very talented. I would definitely choose them every time!

The Cloud Gate String Quartet helped create the perfect atmosphere for the ceremony and brunch reception. The set was a HUGE hit! Everyone loved the fact that we did an entirely pop-driven playlist and asked for Cloud Gate's info. You could tell the musicians were really into it and were enjoying themselves. The set-up was very easy and they were a joy to host!

We had Cloud Gate play at our annual corporate luncheon. Their coordinator, Ross was able to accommodate us in such short notice. They were wonderful and we received many compliments from our clients. We will be using them again for our event next year!

I worked with David to get this going. He's a true pro and easy to work with. With his extensive background he gave us a tons of ideas and gave us an honest opinion of ours. Nobody likes to worry when they're putting together a wedding, and they made it easy. No surprises, did exactly what we agreed on and our guests raved about it.

We booked Cloud Gate Quartet to play classical selections for our Wedding prelude and postlude, as well as pop songs for a portion of our Cocktail Hour. They were probably our easiest vendor to book. They were very responsive to my inquiry and questions along the way, we could pay by Chase QuickPay, and they were also gooood. Not cheesy wedding performers - but legitimate musicians. My parents are both classically trained musicians and before we walked down the aisle, my Dad (unprompted) says "these guys are good!" I would highly recommend them.

Cloudgate String Quartet was definitely one of our best choices for our wedding day. Not only were they incredibly quick to respond to our e-mails and questions while we were in the planning stage, they were very accommodating with all of our requests. Immediately after expressing our interest in booking them, we were sent over a contract, list of songs, and suggestions for different points of the ceremony. Ross was incredibly helpful throughout the process and we truly felt like we were in great hands! Although one of my song requests wasn't on their list (Tale As Old As Time), I reached out and Ross reassured me that they had it and could play it. We were blown away by their talent and felt very confident with our song selection, as well as quartet choice! They showed up early and ready to touch bases to ensure everything went smoothly for our ceremony. After the ceremony, they continued to play for an hour during our cocktail hour. They were a huge hit with our guests! My husband and I highly recommend using Cloudgate String Quartet!

We used Cloud Gate for our wedding ceremony and the cocktail hour. I dealt with Ross throughout the process and he was always very quick to get back and provided everything we needed. We had some specific song requests that they accommodated and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend them if you are looking for some strings to add a special something to your wedding!

They were great! We didn't use for a wedding, but for a birthday brunch for my boss. I wasn't attending, but Ross was great to coordinate with cross-country.

Would highly recommend this group. Ross was responsive and easy to work with. Not only is the group extremely talented - they were reliable, on time, and sounded fantastic. They just get it. They had the best string adaptations for classical and contemporary songs (we went with mostly contemporary songs). Their renditions of the songs were exactly what we were looking for - upbeat and fitting instrumental versions that worked well with string instruments without sounding too over-the-top or silly. We also had a couple requests for how we wanted the songs played and Ross was able to relay these to the group and make sure our suggestions were heard. Overall wonderful experience working with Cloud Gate!

My husband and I hired Cloud Gate to play at our wedding earlier this month. What drew us to this particular quartet was the fact that they also played pop music (old and new), and not just classical pieces (our processional was to "What a Wonderful World" and "La Vie En Rose" while our recessional was to "Best Day of My Life") Ross was our main point of contact for quoting, questions, and payment. He was very responsive and followed up even after the wedding. The quartet arrived on time and were very professional (and all dressed in classic black). We hired them to play for about 4 hours - 1st cocktail hour before the ceremony, 2nd cocktail hour after the ceremony, and during dinner. It was a long time but they took breaks as needed and the DJ and venue owner (also a violinist) got them covered.

We (my husband and I), are so positively overwhelmed with how it turned out. The musicians were all wonderful! Our guests also loved them. I would hire this group again in a heartbeat, and refer them a thousand times over. THANK YOU CLOUD GATE!! You made our special day even more memorable!

This group is awesome. Ross Tesoriero, the contact person and manager is excellent to work with. He responds in a timely fashion and is excellent to work with. The musicians were very professional and the music outstanding. Their play list is quite lengthy and they also performed music that was not on the list which we had requested. I would highly recommend this group!

I served as the Day of Coordinator for this event. The groom had requested a special surprise to occur during the Ceremony. The trick was he wanted it to be a surprise not only for the Bride-to-be but also the entire audience. Our goal was to recreate the Wedding scene from Love Actually by planting the Quartet in the audience. Right before the Bride-to-be was to walk down the group began to play "All you need is love" by the Beatles. What made this really cool was that the group agreed to memorize the song which allowed the surprise to go off without a "hitch", pun intended. After the Ceremony they continued to play during the cocktail hour, yet another surprise. This group should be at the top of your list or at least in the running. Bravo!

Working with this group was amazing in the sense that we really created something undeniably memorable for people. #LIMITLESSCHICAGO and I will definitely contact CloudGate next time I need a professional string quartet for any occasion. Not a wedding. But a brief celebratory concert at my mother's 97th birthday celebration. Ross was easy to work with and timely in all exchanges. Tarolyn and Sonia (violinist and cellist) played well, were engaging, and elicited compliments to me from many of the 55 attendees. Thank you to CLoudGate for being a part of our event.

Cloud Gate did an excellent job at my wedding. Music was played to perfection, and their "on the fly, no rehearsal needed" timing was impeccable. Couldn't have asked for a better group of musicians.
