We used Ashley for our wedding cake, and she did not disappoint! For the tasting, the presentation of the cakes she boxed up for us was impressive. Each cake was moist and delicious! We ended up going with white and chocolate cake for our wedding, and Ashley went above and beyond by not baking other cakes that week due to both me and my husband's allergies. We received multiple compliments on how good the cake was! She also bakes another cake for your 1 year anniversary which we are looking forward to! Ashley with Clever Cakes was wonderful to work with, and we would highly recommend her cakes for any occasion! -

Clever Cakes made the most gorgeous and delicious cake for our wedding. Ashley could not be easier to work with. We thought we needed 175 serving in a combination of a three tiered cake and then kitchen cakes for the remaining servings. We asked for three favors – vanilla, chocolate, and pumpkin. Trust us and get the pumpkin cake-it is out of this world delicious. When our guest count dropped to 115, Ashley was flexible and easily modified the number of servings and even changed the flavors for the different tiers so that we could get the best ratios for all three flavors. Originally, I thought I had wanted a classic white three-tiered cake decorated with flowers, but a month or so the wedding, I saw a cake that she had done with pinks and oranges with flecks of gold in a water color design. When I contacted Ashley about doing something similar with greens she embraced the idea and WOW the cake Ashley created was simply gorgeous. She added the flowers supplied by Craig Sole Designs which really just took the whole look over the top. The cake was just as delicious as it was gorgeous and we and our guests loved it. You should hire Clever Cakes! -

I am still dreaming about our wedding cake it tasted so good. Ashley knows her way around an oven - let me tell you. My mouth is watering just from the thought of her cake and icing. Her icing is an Italian buttercream style, so its got the perfect amount of sweetness. Our wedding guests could not get enough of her cake and cupcakes she made for us. Ashley is so talented with how her cakes tastes, but she is also so talented on how she decorates them. They are all drop-dead gorgeous. Seriously, they look even better in person (if that is even possible!). Everything about Clever Cakes is so sweet. Even Ashley herself! She is super understanding and kind. There was a huge mix up with her cake and cupcake stands at our wedding - and she was SO UNDERSTANDING. Seriously, Ashley is an absolute queen and we LOVED working with her. We cannot recommend her enough. Everything about Clever Cakes was perfect and I wish we could get married all over again. BOOK HER ASAP - YOU WON'T REGRET IT! -

Ashley was absolutely amazing! Due to COVID, I did not get to physically sit down with Ashley and discuss what I expected. So all of our meetings were over the phone and me texting her countless pictures of what I wanted. However, I did a porch pick up sampling. Her raspberry is absolutely fantastic, so of course we had to have that one for our guests. We wanted a small bride/groom Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. IT WAS TO DIE FOR. So creamy and dreamy. -

Gorgeous and delicious cake
We reached out to several KC bakeries with the same set of photos from Pinterest. All of the bakeries sent us to the same person: Ashley. When we looked at her social media, it was like seeing our Pinterest photos come to life! Her unique style of palette created flowers is so artistic and even more gorgeous in person. Additionally, she was an excellent communicator and dedicated to making the colors within the cake match the details of our wedding. The flavor sampler pack included in the cake package was really helpful in choosing flavors, though honestly all of them were fantastic. We chose the honey pistachio and double chocolate. I regretfully never got the opportunity to meet Ashley in person due to the tightly scheduled wedding timeline, but her cake was noted as the best wedding cake many of our guests had ever had! -

Amazing in every way
Ashley was incredible to work with, and made us the cake of our dreams! Both the look and the flavors were perfection. -
