Total Pros at a Beautiful Spot!

We had our reception at Clay Hill after our ceremony at another location. We had 25 people and used their Veranda room, deck, and lawn. The space was absolutely perfect - so cute and plenty of room for our guests.

Rachel and her team were SO accommodating and were able to set up anything I asked for (lawn games, guest book, signs, etc.) so it all looked perfect when we came in! She was also super communicative and made planning easy and low-stress.

The food was also fantastic! Highly recommend!!

Wonderful and true professionals

Clay Hill Farm were my off-site consultants for my October 5th wedding in York at the Dockside working as both my officiant and offering event advice. I hadn’t realized how much stress I’d been holding until I met with them and left our meeting with all of the tension zapped out of me. They answered questions I hadn’t even thought of and problem solved issues that had been nagging me for months in less than an hour. Jen was wonderful as my officiant, keeping my husband and I relaxed while we were out of our comfort zones and sharing in our joy for the day. I couldn’t recommend them more – they have a complete understanding of the business side as well as the emotional toll the planning takes on the bride/groom and surrounding family. Our day was made all the more special/stress free due to their involvement.

Our wedding was uniquely "us" and Clay Hill guided us every step of the way!

We are so grateful that we chose Clay Hill for our wedding! Rachel, Jen, and the entire staff are kind, professional, and quick on their feet. Clay Hill is beautiful and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. My husband and I are in our twenties and we were largely funding our wedding ourselves, so staying within budget was a concern of ours. That being said, we did not have to sacrifice anything about what we envisioned with Rachel at the helm! She is so knowledgable and quick on her feet. It is hard to put into words just how happy we are to have been married at Clay Hill Farm.

Best Wedding Rehearsal!

We had our Rehearsal Luncheon at Clay Hill Farm and everything was fantastic! Because we had a rehearsal lunch rather than a dinner, the restaurant opened early just for us, and even allowed us to customize our menu (all of our guests are still raving about the food!). The atmosphere was so relaxed and warm, the staff was SO attentive, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Clay Hill Farm is amazing for any event!!

Dream Team!

Rachel and the entire team helped to make our wedding planning experience easy and fun! We had a blast at our October 12th ceremony and reception and everything went smoothly. Working with a group of experienced vendors that take pride in their work made the package an easy decision.

You won’t find better

Incredible place! Food was excellent, venue was beautiful, everything about this place was perfect. We planned from out of the area, and I could not have been easier. We chose their package that uses their suggested cake and dj vendors which made things SO much easier and efficient, they were also both awesome. You will not find a better value anywhere close to this or as nice in the area, we did a lot of searching. Thank you for an incredible day we will never forget! Will be back to visit for dinner!

Best wedding venue

We had our wedding June 8th at Clay Hill Farm and it was the best day of our lives!! Rachel helped us with all the planning leading to the wedding, she answered all our questions made sure everything was all set. Best part is the packages include almost everything you would need even a guitarist for the ceremony and cocktail hour!!! All the vendors they provided were amazing, they arranged everything with them. They truly made the whole wedding planning process so smooth and stress free. The entire staff, from waiters to bartenders were amazing.
The day was better then we could imagine, we got so many complements about the food and the venue. Clay hill was accommodating to our every need even at last min. We can’t wait to go back to enjoy the restaurant!!

Winter Wedding

We had a small, 40 person ceremony and reception in the Fireside room in January- it was amazing! Rachel and Jen were so easy to work with and made the planning process a breeze. They coordinated a pianist for our reception and even set everything up for us day-of, which was a nice surprise. It was the perfect winter wedding location and we can't say enough great things about the venue, staff and the food. All our guests had a fantastic time and we received so many compliments about the venue and how pretty and cozy it was for our celebration. Thank you to everyone at Clay Hill for making our wedding day absolutely wonderful!

A beautiful sunday wedding

Our September 30, 2018 wedding at Clay Hill Farm was truly special. We had a Sunday afternoon wedding. The weather was perfect and we took advantage of the beautiful wooded grounds around the restaurant. We wanted an intimate day with friends and family that felt very personal, wasn't stressful for us in the planning process, and also had a great dance party. Clay Hill was able to fit our every need. We weren't based in Maine, so had to do 90% of the planning remotely. Rachel and Jen made what could have been a very stressful process straightforward. The vendors that they work with were uniformly excellent - especially our DJ, Scott Langlois.

The day of, Rachel and Jen were on hand and ensured that everything went smoothly. They managed guest requests, helped direct the wait staff, and helped us send everyone off in style. The food we selected was delicious, and they thoughtfully saved some hors d'oeurves for us after we took photos following the ceremony. Jen made sure that my husband and I were taken care of, and fed. The day flew by and my husband and I were able to spend time with our guests and on the dance floor because Rachel and Jen had the logistics covered.

I highly recommend working with them!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Clay Hill Farm this past November and it was just perfect. The Farm was such a cozy and intimate setting for our small soon-to-be joining families. We had dinner for about 25 people in front of the fire and we enjoyed every minute of it. Clay Hill Farm offered more of a dining experience to our guests, many of which are from the area but had never been. The food and service were incredible. We pre-selected passed appetizers and a menu for out guests to chose from. The wine selections were great and they even handled a DELICIOUS cake to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday that happened to be that day. Jennifer was great to work with and it was clear she genuinely cared about making our event special. We will absolutely go back to Clay Hill Farm for any special occasions, or just a nice night out.

The instance we walked out of our first meeting with Jenn, I knew this was the venue for me and my husband! During that first meeting, Jenn was so welcoming, inviting, understanding, and thorough. She answered all of my questions and did not try to push or sell me on anything, which I appreciated so much. Jenn and Rachel were so helpful and on top of everything during the whole planning process and there was never a doubt in my mind that my wedding would go off without a hitch! Everything about Clay Hill Farm was spectacular. The ceremony location is beautiful and the grounds themselves are just perfect for pictures! The food was spectacular and the inside of the restaurant fit my theme so well. It’s warm and inviting - perfect for my late fall wedding! All of my friends loved the food and drinks - saying how impressed they were at the bartenders concocting delicious beverages on very vague instructions ( i.e. no vodka or tequila, fruity but not citrus). If I could do it all again, I wouldn’t change anything. Jenn and Rachel were great. Never had a worry throughout the whole process including the day of! My husband and I are now planning our next visit for dinner to try some other dishes off the menu!

Our reception at Clay Hill Farm was absolutely perfect. The venue is beautiful, the food is delicious, the recommended vendors are amazing and the wedding coordinators at Clay Hill are experts. From the moment we had our first visit, I knew the wedding coordinators would make the wedding planning process enjoyable rather than stressful. The wedding coordinators are friendly and knowledgeable. They walked us through each step of the process with ease. They answered our many questions without ever making us feel like we were bothersome. They were truly a pleasure to work with and I couldn't imagine wedding planning without them.
One of the many wonderful things Clay Hill offers to couples is a wedding "Open House", where they set the dining room as they do for weddings and bring in local vendors so couples have the opportunity to meet all the vendors in one place. We opted for a package, which included a DJ, guitarist and florist. All the vendors were phenomenal. We met with them individually and they exceeded our expectations.
Rachel, our Clay Hill coordinator, was not only helpful with our reception planning but also offered to assist with our off-site ceremony. This was incredibly helpful.
Our entire experience with Clay Hill Farm was perfect and I would highly recommend Clay Hill Farm as a wedding venue.

Booking our wedding at Clay Hill was the best decision we made when it came down to choosing a venue. I knew we were looking for something special for a venue that would fit in our price range and Clay Hill was recommended by my now mother in law, I took a look at the website and was hesitant at first but figured it would probably be worth looking and they seemed to get great reviews. I knew right away I wanted to get married at Clay Hill Farm when we sat with Rachel. The property is gorgeous, a natural beauty that is tucked away a little on Clay Hill Farm Road and only minutes to the beach and marginal way. Our wedding was beautiful, intimate and Clay Hill gave us that cozy feeling. We checked out a gorgeous venue a couple days prior to going to Clay Hill and it just didn't compare! The service that Clay Hill offers is not something you will find at most venues, at least we didn't when we checked out several others. You can choose a package if you like, we got "The Fern" package which included the dj,cake,solo classical guitarist, food, etc. You can customize the package which was really awesome, it was totally the way to go. I never once felt overwhelmed when I sat down and spoke with Rachel and Jen, in fact they always put me back at ease especially towards the end when things were coming together. They really know their stuff and are true professionals. Also things to mention which I really appreciated was having service of the Valet parking for our guests, the service and professionalism of the staff, the food was so delicious and the presentation was beautiful, even adding a flower to each plate! I felt I was almost hand held through the entire process. They answered all my questions, especially when we were coordinating times with our photographer and the locations. Clay Hill is a special gem, what you get for what you are paying is incredible. Thank you Clay Hill for helping and hosting our gorgeous wedding, can't recommend you enough!

Andy and I cannot say enough about how amazing Jen, Rachel and the staff at Clay Hill are. From the food, to the ceremony, to the unbelievable service, we couldn't have asked for a better wedding. When I arrived several minutes late, I apologized and Jen was the calming voice that I needed and assured me that everything was amazing. We will recommend Clay Hill to any and all couples who ask! Book your wedding with Clay Hill, and you will not be disappointed! Jen and Rachel are absolutely wonderful, and my wedding was a huge success because of them! They are responsive, extremely accomodating, and make you feel like part of their family by the time your wedding process is complete. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them!!!

We had our rehearsal dinner and drink/dessert reception at Clay Hill Farm. The food was delicious! Their back deck was perfect for our event. Everyone enjoyed the setting and the drinks and desserts. I had never eaten at Clay Hill Farm before then but I would definitely go back. I highly suggest having your rehearsal dinner that and utilizing the back deck.

My husband and I chose Clay Hill Farm for the site of our rehearsal dinner and were not disappointed! The food was delicious, the grounds are adorable and the service was wonderful. They allowed us to set up a cigar bar for the men on the back deck (something I'm sure not every venue would allow) and our groomsmen loved it! My mother in law was the one who primarily worked with the staff but she has nothing but good things to say about them. In all, we are extremely pleased with our experience at Clay Hill Farm.

We could not have picked a more perfect venue. Rachel and Jen were professional, friendly, and super helpful. The wedding package we got included everything and made planning so easy as well as very affordable. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food (which included a vegan option!). The beautiful surroundings and awesome Clay Hill staff helped make it a wonderful day!

We couldn't be more happier with our decision to go with Clay Hill Farm for both the ceremony and reception. From the first day we spoke with their wedding coordinating staff (Rachel and Jen), they were nothing but accommodating, patient, and understanding. We met with them several times throughout the 10 months prior to the wedding to go over so many details. They were always so responsive to our questions and concerns, and also sensitive to our budget. They also coordinated with our family which was so helpful. We HIGHLY recommend this venue. It is so naturally beautiful and elegant. The food is DELICIOUS, and the vendor they recommend could not be more Fabulous- their contracted vendor list/recommendations cut out so much leg work and truly are the best at what they do. And their pricing is so reasonable for both the quality and quantity of what you get.
The staff is so organized and really make everything seamless. The coordinators went above and beyond to accommodate our requests like linens, signature cocktail, and appetizer requests. We cannot say enough great things about them!! Our guests continue to comment on the venue, the wedding in general. CHF staff treated everyone like royalty, and we can't wait to go back for dinners and strolls around their grounds over the years.

Words alone cannot express what a wonderful wedding day we had at Clay Hill Farm on Sunday, October 11, 2015. It was beautiful fall weather and a phenomenal day with Clay Hill Farm as the perfect hosts. The advice given by Jenn and Rachel was such great help in planning this day. They are seasoned professionals whose guidance through many, many decisions was spot on. The recommendation and coordination of the exceptional guitarist (Pat Keane), DJ (Scott Langlois) and photographer (Deb Cram) made for very convenient planning and whose talents made for a very festive and memorable day. It was a perfect day and we would not have changed any of it! Our thanks to Jenn, Rachel and the staff at Clay Hill Farm; it was a day that we will never forget!

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at Clay Hill Farm. We used to save up and have a romantic dinner every summer at Clay Hill never thinking it would be in our wedding budget!!! My husband was actually the one to suggest using Clay Hill, and after some research, we booked a year plus in advance for our 8/28/15 wedding. We worked with Rachel and Jennifer over time, using a time line, to stay on track and budget. They were easy to talk too, and offered great suggestions. Our wedding reception was everything and more than I expected. Our families are still talking about how beautiful and classy Clay Hill is, including all staff. We did have the most beautiful day of the year, so we got to take full advantage of the beautiful outside grounds during our reception. I can not say enough great things about Clay Hill!

Everyone at Clay Hill was absolutely wonderful. Our wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to Rachel and Jen running a tight ship over there. Everyone at Clay Hill is professional and experienced, not to mention the venue itself is completely gorgeous. The food was delicious and there was a wide variety of options, plus the package deals they have make wedding planning so much easier. For how much was included in the package, I spent way less than I would have spent on just the food/venue at other locations. Clay Hill provided us with a DJ, guitarist, the food, the venue, set-up/clean-up, and tons more for such an affordable price. It was the perfect place for us to get married!

My husband & I had our May 2015 wedding here and we're thrilled with how it turned out. Clay Hill Farm and the people who work there are great! Rachel helped us coordinate our ceremony and reception. She was so helpful and made planning much easier and less stressful. She had great ideas that made a difference in our wedding, such as, an alternative room/table arrangement that made my small wedding feel intimate even in a fairly large room.
It poured on our wedding day which left us no choice but to move our outdoor ceremony inside. Thanks to Rachel and the staff the room was beautiful - we were married by a large window overlooking the gardens with candles and our friends & family surrounding us. I don't even regret that we had to move the ceremony indoors.
Another great reason to chose Clay Hill Farm is the food. The appetizers and meal were delicious. The packages they offer are a great value. I highly recommend Clay Hill Farm as a wedding venue.

Clay Hill Farm Weddings did an amazing job for my daughters wedding! The venue couldn't have been more perfect, the food was amazing and the customer service from beginning to end was 5 star. We looked at many venues, but Clay Hill Farm was not only the most beautiful, but also very competitively priced.

My husband and I were married at Clay Hill Farm this past summer, in July 2014. Having grown up just a mile down the street, I had always thought that it would be a perfect place to hold my wedding reception, and we were not disappointed! The staff was incredibly helpful through the entire planning process and made everything very simple and took all the stress out of our big day. The venue is naturally beautiful and requires very few additional decorations. It was pouring rain the day of our wedding, but it did not detract from the experience at all. The large windows let our guests view the beauty of the grounds without getting wet, and there was plenty of room in accommodate everyone comfortably. We went with a package deal, and the cake and DJ were both outstanding. My husband and I could not have been happier with Clay Hill Farm and would highly recommend it to everyone!

My husband and I were married at the Gazebo at Clay Hill on August 2, 2014. Rachel, Jen and the CHF team truly did a phenomenal job bringing our dream day to life.

The planning process was far easier than we expected it to be; they were so helpful and easy to work with! They provide a great selection of wedding packages to choose from and offer everything from the menu and beverage selections, to vendor recommendations (we also highly recommend florist Katherine’s Gardens) to chairs, linens, calligraphy, etc (the list goes on). We were very happy with the selections we made and found them to be so accommodating of all of our requests. In short- they know what they are doing and they do it extraordinarily well.

We are still hearing rave reviews from our guests who had nothing but positive things to say about the delicious food, the specialty drinks, the friendly, warm staff, the beautiful, lush grounds and the cozy, romantic atmosphere. It was absolutely everything we wanted and so much more.

The day far exceeded anything we had in mind. Clay Hill took care of everything from set-up to coordination on the day of. My husband and I worried about absolutely nothing except interacting with our guests and enjoying our day with absolute peace of mind as everything went off without a hitch. Rachel and Jen were both on site for the wedding itself to guide us and our guests to where we needed to be. At no point did we feel rushed and at all times we felt like VIP guests.

We were so incredibly happy with our experience and we are grateful to the entire staff. We highly recommend Clay Hill and encourage everyone to check out one of their wedding open houses.

Clay Hill Farm is an absolutely amazing, unique and affordable place to have a wedding. We had our wedding at Clay Hill on 11/1, and everything was perfect. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful, the location is beautiful and the food is to die for!! All of our guests were saying how wonderful everything was, and were all so curious how we found such a perfect, cozy and lovely venue. We would highly recommend Clay Hill Farm to not only any engaged couple, but also to anyone just looking for a delicious meal!!

The grounds are gorgeous, the food is absolutely delicious and the staff are professional, helpful and welcoming. It was a perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner and we would highly recommend it for any occasion.

We had our wedding at Clay Hill on Memorial Day weekend. We only started planning the wedding in January. It was fantastic to work with such wonderful professionals. We mostly worked with Rachel but also had some contact with Jennifer. Clay Hill is the best of both worlds - while they have the experience and organization of a place that does many weddings, there is nothing that feels canned or wedding factory about the experience. They will work with you to create the wedding YOU want. We had about 140 guests, over 22 of whom were children. Everyone had a fantastic time. We used their DJ - Scott Langlois, and he was great and responsive as well. I really don't think you can go wrong at Clay Hill!

My husband and I weren't interested in a typical dance party wedding reception. We wanted to play bocce ball, badminton, croquet, and horseshoes. We specifically looked for a beautiful setting that had the grounds to make this happen. The yard in front of Clay Hill is just gorgeous, and made for the perfect setting for our "garden party" wedding. The salmon and veggie tart were outstanding, and the service was phenomenal. Definitely a wonderful place to start a marriage.

Well I can't say enough what a beautiful place this is! It has little waterfalls and ponds and flower gardens! A big read barn and greenhouse ...it is an 11 acre wild bird preserve ! You get all the grounds to yourself for your wedding! The have a beautiful gazebo to have your ceremony , which Was wonderful because we could walk from the ceremony into the reception area! They set up all the little white chairs and everything for your ceremony when your guests go into the reception area there is one area they will enter first with all the hors d'oeuvres that were absolutely scrumptious! And of course the bar... Then there are two beautiful doors open up as you step down into the reception area it is beautiful as you look at all the giant windows you see beautiful flowers trees Birds it was beautiful! And the cost was unbelievably low! I highly recommend clay Hill Farm! They also will organize and be your helpers throughout your whole venue!

From the moment we went to see Clay Hill Farm as a potential wedding venue we knew we had found our place and not once did we second guess our choice. Everything was perfect because they know how to do weddings. If you want a place that makes weddings their business and will take care of everything for you then this is your place. The grounds are so beautiful that you can even get by without having to spend money on putting flowers outside, which was a plus for us. They are professionals and the value for the money is exceptional. All of our guests could not stop talking about the place and how perfect it was. We highly recommend them.

We had our Saturday daytime wedding ceremony and reception at Clay Hill Farm in mid-June, when the gardens were in glorious full bloom. Rachel was our coordinator, and she was wonderful, very responsive to our questions and needs. The facility and grounds are gorgeous, the food delicious, and the staff friendly and attentive. We had so many positive comments from guests on the venue and the food! We chose a basic value package, an all-inclusive meal (Maple Pecan Chicken, yum!) including stationary hors d'oeuvres and a champagne toast, and added passed hors d's and wine at the tables. The pricing was low enough to allow us to invite all our extended family members and friends; it was important to us to be able to share our day with everyone. Rachel took care of all the details, before, during and after the wedding, and we could relax and really enjoy the day. We would highly recommend Clay Hill Farm to anyone planning a wedding in the York, Maine area, both for the ceremony and for the reception!

This site didn't look like so much in the winter when I first saw it, but in the summer it was beautiful and perfect for a wedding reception! The food was great and the service absolutely impeccable. Keep in mind that if you have more than about 110 people, you will have to have some of your party in an adjoining room that is somewhat cut off from the rest of the party- but this really worked for me since we could put some of the calmer, quieter people in the crowd in there.

Our pictures look perfect so far, my only complaint was that the reception went by too quickly!!

Clay Hill Farm was amazing. They set me up with all the local vendors and I paid one price for the food, cake, flowers and venue. They were on top of everything and were able to react when things didn't go as planned (family's fault, not theirs). They really took all the stress out of wedding planning.

These guys are really great, it's a nice restaurant off the beaten path northwest of York. Very professional and can take care of just about everything if you want. Pretty affordable too.

We chose Clay Hill Farm for our August 2017 wedding. The location was beautiful from the outdoor gardens to the classy cocktail area and bar and intimate reception area. Jen and Rachel were very easy to work with and helped us a lot along the way. I loved that I was able to take one of their wedding packages and make it work for my preferences - Jen and Rachel were on board with everything and best of all, helped us stay within our budget! On the day of our wedding, everything went perfectly - or at least I didn't hear about any issues! Jen, Rachel and the entire Clay Hill Farm staff are a well-oiled machine when it comes to weddings, but they also came across as really caring about our wedding and making it perfect. Loved the location, service, the FOOD (there was more than enough for everyone and I received a ton of positive feedback after) and just how easy it was to work with Clay Hill Farm. Having a 1 year old, a full-time job and planning a wedding in 6 months was a bit daunting, but Clay Hill Farm really helped me put together our perfect wedding!

Clay Hill Farm was an amazing place for my wedding. The location was beautiful, tons of flowers and birds, and garden paths, and Jen and Rachel were amazing from our first sit-down together. I could immediately tell that they knew what they were doing, they knew so much, were so helpful, and knew exactly what they wanted on my end. They gave us a rough estimate that first time, with a nice payment plan, and a list of possible vendors. I planned this long distance, and they were very good about getting back to me on my little questions and freak outs. On the day of the wedding, it rained and we had to have it inside, but I think it actually was a better idea than having it outside. Jen and Rachel did the switch without batting an eye, and made sure everything went smoothly. I got lots of compliments on the food, as well! Also, my parents said that the final bill was way cheaper than they thought, so that was cool. Like any wedding, though, it's going to be pricey. Clay Hill was quite a bit cheaper than those resorts on the ocean (and much more my style!), and was everything I could have asked for. They have lots of wedding packages available, and will work with you closely when choosing the best one for you. No hidden costs like a cake cutting fee or anything, and Jen and Rachel come with any package you get, and they are worth their weight in gold. I would highly recommend anyone do their wedding at Clay Hill. You won't be disappointed.

We could not have picked a better location than Clay Hill Farm. They were spectacular from the start, and made our planning simple and our wedding day perfect. Our group size (70-75) made the space look full but not packed in. We were hesitant about a daytime reception but it worked out perfectly for us. The grounds are gorgeous, the food delicious, and the service impeccible. They do have minimum numbers and limited timeframes, but neither were too much of a challenge. Their recommendations for other vendors were excellent. They were also priced more reasonably than most other sites in the area. Clay Hill is not a coastal site, but they will make your wedding day run smoothly and without a single worry!

My husband and I recently celebrated our 50th anniversary with our family and friends at Clay Hill Farm. The party was wonderful, the gardens were beautiful, and every detail was attended to! We can't say enough about Rachel, Jennifer and their staff! We would definitely recommend Clay Hill Farm for any special event.

My husband and I looked at a dozen venues and at the end of the day(s), Clay Hill Farm was our obvious winner. Theirs was one of the few venues that didn't have a corporate, completely rehearsed feel. We felt like our wedding mattered and it wasn't going to be just like everyone else's. Jennifer and Rachel were very flexible in the planning stages and kept us calm on the big day. Even when things didn't go exactly as planned, no one knew because it was handled so quickly. And the food was DELICIOUS!

Clay Hill Farm was a great venue to have our wedding! We loved how easy it was to pick our vendors. The open houses were awesome, having all of the vendors in one place was so helpful! They definitely take the stress out of planning a wedding! It was also a great value for the cost!

Overall we had a beautiful day! It was so easy with the package we chose and limited the amount of decisions we had to make in our 6 months of planning. Sometime email communication was delayed and there was confusion about pick up drop off and storage, nothing major. We had a wonderful time.

Over all my wedding reception at Clay Hill Farm was memorable and fantastic. My guests couldn't stop raving about the amazing food and the beautiful grounds! All the people involved in setting up, serving and assisting guests were professional, friendly and happy. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

My only issues with Clay Hill were as follows:

1. Responsiveness, as the days counted down to my wedding I had quite a few last minute questions and it was very difficult to get a hold of anyone. (Warning they are not all that responsive on email) I realize that late summer in Southern Maine is an extremely popular time for weddings so I do not doubt that they were busy. But I felt that I was often times was frustrated by not being able to reach anyone.

2. Make sure that everyone (including the bride!) brings their IDs. They are very strict (as they should be about alcohol) when it comes to IDing people.

Please do not let this review deter you from choosing this beautiful venue just feel warned ahead of time.

We greatly enjoyed having our wedding here. We lived in Virginia and had to do all the planning from afar or through family members and everything turned out perfect. When we would tell them what our ideas were, they would leave the ultimate decision up to us but let us nkow what they saw as the pros and cons. There was a hurricane the day of our wedding so we had to move it inside from the outside planned ceremony. They took care of everything and we were able to focus on gettting ready and enjoying the morning. Because they are also a day to day restaraunts, there is some limitation on the time available for your wedding, but well worth it.

Clay Hill Farm's Rachel D. was fantastic to work with. The food was wonderful and our guests are still complimenting it! They were a little pricey but our day was incredible and they handled all the behind the scenes work to make our day relaxing and enjoyable!

Clay Hill Farm was a great choice. Jenn and Rachel, the wedding planners, really know their stuff. Weddings are like clockwork to them. My husband and I felt so comfortable with them arranging things for our wedding. We met with them twice in advance to talk details and ideas. We had complete say over what we wanted to at our wedding and the wedding planners did what they could to make sure it happened.

The waiting staff was outstanding. They were so prompt and patient. We enjoyed the passed hors d'oeuvres during our photography session.

It seemed like there was a bump in communication over the final bill since there were two wedding planners. It worked out in the end but it would have been nice to have everything go smoothly.

Overall I am so thrilled that we married at Clay Hill Farm. The grounds are beautiful and the people were so accommodating and wonderful to work with.

Overall Value was great. Email communication was delayed at times. Day of was perfect, stick with fish over chicken some was a little under cooked. Beautiful location and made the day great!

We chose Clay Hill Farm because of location. His side is from NH & Mass. and mine is from the Portland area. We knew Southern Maine was where we would end up but were concerned about costs. After researching many different options Clay Hill proved to be competitive and reasonable. When we visited we fell in love with the charm of the building and the grounds. We have 2 boys and I work retail so knowing I didn't have to do much to decorate was a great feeling. I added a few personal touches with the help of my mother but I cannot stress more how much I loved the décor and feeling Clay Hill naturally has. The food was amazing! We also took advantage of Clay Hill's vendor list, we found a great bakery and DJ. Many of our guests commented on how much they loved the venue and food. We did end up with rain and I have to say Jen was great through the whole thing, I never felt stressed or upset about having to the move the ceremony inside, she kept me in the loop of the decision my Husband and Father made and that kept me calm. It was a smooth transition and although outside would have been perfect, inside was good to, it was nice to have the back up plan. I would suggest this venue again and I know we'll be back to dine.
