Wedding Vintage Car

I began the process of planning a destination wedding in Los Olivos from Boston for my daughter who resides in Chicago. After looking at many pictures of weddings held in the area my daughter's dream was to have a vintage car at her wedding. I was very fortunate to contact Mel Harrison from Classy Chassis Rentals. Although I only spoke to him during long distance telephone conversations he was extremely friendly, compassionate, and helpful in selecting the 1983 Rolls Royce convertible of her choice. I was most impressed that he called the day before the wedding to ask if she wanted to change to a hard top car since it was projected to rain on the day of the wedding. My daughter chose to stay with the convertible and even with the intermittent rain the driver that evening accommodated her wish to take pictures with the top down. I can highly recommend Mel and Classy Chassis for your special occasion.

An Absolute Dream

Wow! How incredible to roll out of our wedding ceremony in a white vintage Rolls Royce on our way to our reception. We had a "Just Married" sign on the back and we got many congrats honks and thumbs up from other cars and motorcycles along the way. Not only is the car beautiful and classy as the company name says, but Mel is also incredibly kind and such a gentlemen, that was the icing on the cake. Looking back, I'm so happy we did this and hired Classy Chassis for our wedding! Our photos aren't available yet from our photographer but if we have to review it again to include them we will :)

I can’t say enough good things about Classy Chassis rentals, or recommend them highly enough! We booked the green Rolls Royce convertible for our getaway car from our wedding, and it was the perfect cherry on top of our wedding reception. It definitely had the “cool” and “classic” factors, plus it gave the perfect signal to our guests that our wedding was over (versus just letting the party trickle out). I highly recommend having a getaway car, and specifically booking with Classy Chassis! We had Mel as our driver and he was so kind. It really was all just perfect. Thank you, Classy Chassis!

I can't say enough good things about this company. From the very beginning they were nothing short of amazing! They were so flexible, and professional throughout the entire process. They even arrived a little early on the day of pickup to make sure that traffic would not hold us back. Plus the car was GORGEOUS, i didn't want to leave it behind to go to the reception lol!

We weren't sure we wanted to do a fancy exit, but then we realized neither of us wanted to drive after the wedding. We found Classy Chassis, and working with Mel, we were able to find the perfect car at a great price. Being picked up and driven around in a 1962 white Rolls Royce was the perfect ending to our wedding! Our driver was awesome, but we can't remember his name. We had a great time and made for great photos!

I had never considered a “getaway” car as a possibility when we were getting married - but it was on my wife’s wishlist… and what a brilliant and memorable idea it was. The Rolls pulled up to our venue, a Tuscan Barn on a vineyard hillside and parked outside, with a red carpet and all, in it’s full glory, about 20 minutes before the last dance. All of our guests were near giddy with how classy and cool it was, and it just made the final part of our day perfect. Our driver took us from the venue down PCH, and then to a beach, where we put our feet in the water as man and wife, before being driven back to our hotel room. It’s as classy as you can hope, and as easy a transaction as you can handle. What a great experience.

Mel did a fantastic job for our wedding! My fiancé loved the car and so did I! He provided great service and he was very sociable and engaging with us! We both thoroughly enjoyed riding in the Bentley! Overall, I highly recommend using him for your wedding!

Thank you Mel!!!!! You made our wedding day so special! Not only was the Rolls Royce in pristine condition (GORGEOUS) but Mel was fantastic. He was a joy to share our special day with him. He was so friendly and hilarious and really made us feel comfortable, he even took photos and sent them to us right away! By the end of the day he seemed like an old friend to us. The entire experience with him and the Rolls made our wedding magical. We cannot wait to find another occasion where we will be able to spend time with him again :)

We hired Classy Chassis to pick us up at the end of our wedding reception and drive us home. Needless to say, our jaws dropped at the 1958 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud that showed up. Great for pictures at the end of the night! On our way home, pretty much everyone in downtown Hollywood stopped to stare (at the car, not the bride and groom!) and waved =) Driver was also friendly and enthusiastically went along with our comments on how cool the car was!

I rented the classy Rolls-Royce for my wedding and it was the best decision we made. We did not only came on style but having pictures taken with the car is truly an unforgettable experience and on top of it Mel is not only very accommodating but you can tell that he is genuinely happy for us. Wow what an incredible car! We rented the 1958 Silver Cloud for our Wedding and it was spectacular. Mel was very easy to work with and our driver Harry was top notch. The car looked great for photos at Greystone Mansion. I would highly recommend using Classy Chassis to everyone!

Mel and Classy Chassis was a terrific experience. Made the day that much more special to be able to take my wife around in a classy classic Rolls! Made for some great wedding pics and an overall wonderful day.

Mel and Class Chassis Rentals are amazing! I had to do some quick last minute planning for my son's wedding, which was a traditional Indian wedding. From the first telephone call with Mel, and subsequent email exchanges he made the best recommendation and provided the most fantastico service! And he was our driver, which made it even more special!! All the pictures taken with the vehicle came out terrifically! Everyone loved the vehicle, loved Mel, and the day turned out picture perfect!!! Even other guests at the venue commented on the vehicle and service! Unfortunately 5 stars is not an adequate rating --- should be 150++++++++++. THANK YOU MEL!

I only communicated via email since we live far from the location but Mel was always responding to emails. The day of, our driver was very nice and professional. The car itself was beautiful and it was that extra touch that made our special day perfect. I didn't want the typical limousine so we opted for the Rolls Royce. Other wedding parties that were taking pictures at our location even complimented the car. If you want something elegant and classic for the wedding a classic car is what you are looking for and classy chassis is where to go! Thank you Mel!

There aren't enough stars to rate the outstanding service we received for our Daughters wedding. We arrived at the church in time but upon arrival we learned that the priest for the grooms family was running late. You did everything to keep my daughter(bride ) comfortable and let her stay in the car until start of the ceremony. The wedding was behind schedule around 45 minutes. You came inside to let the photographer know that I've needed to get a photo of car and sign before dark. We knew you had to leave at 6:15 but made sure Danielle and Mikey got to reception in the car. Many thanks, Sandra

Mel was great!! He definitely came through with the 1957 Bentley S-1, which totally surprised my wife on the way to the church! They have a nice set of vehicles, and the ability to include a note and chocolate-covered strawberries and champaigne (extra fee) was a great addition!

I hired Classy Chassis to provide our "getaway car" as a surprise for my husband to pick us up from our wedding venue at the end of the night. Mel was a delight to work with and set everything up beautifully. Our driver was fantastic-- friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the car (my husband was super into it and had a lot of specific questions!). It was such a fun touch and totally worth it. Also, especially now that the wedding is over, I am very grateful to Classy Chassis for their professionalism and reliability. If I could give Classy Chassis more stars I would!!!

I recently got married on Sept 6 and we used Classy Chassis as our method of transportation (we reserved the 1960 white RR). From the initial meeting the manager has always been on top of it! He responded quickly to my request for a RR for our wedding, met with us within the same week and had our contract ready to go. What really sold us was that he let us see the selection of RR that he had available for the day of AND let us sit in them. After we set up all the details for our big day the manager always responded within a timely manner and answered any questions I had. On the day of our wedding the driver was early, took the quickest route to the church, photos, and reception, and most importantly WAS EXTREMELY NICE!!!! He even helped me with my wedding dress and assisted our photographer with holding my veil out in the wind (haha). To top it off, a few minutes into the reception I realized I was no longer wearing my garter and I had no idea where I lost it! My mother took the time to call Classy Chassis & see if it was left behind, which in fact it was (how that happened I don't know). They went ahead and mailed it back to me free of charge.

My husband and I had the best experience with classy chassis!!

Oh, and did I mention we had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries awaiting us after the ceremony ;)

I am more than just pleased with this service... My driver, mike was so attentive... He was funny and was great to be around with.. I was super nervous on my weddding day but he definitely helped me relax... .. He was the best chauffeur any bride could ask for... He even helped me get into the car with my big dress and told me "don't worry I have experience with dresses!" Totally made me laugh and at the same time relieved!!! .. I NEVER write reviews but I definitely had to write one for this company.. Once again Mel thank you for your AWESEOM CUSTOMER SERVICE and for providing me the BEST chauffeur EVER!!! Big mike!!!

P.s we will definitely be contacting you next year for our one year anniversary 4/26/2015 and would love to have the same driver and same car!! Thanx a bunch !!

I CAN NOT say enough about the STELLAR service we received from Classy Chassis! We planned our wedding from abroad and Mel made everything extremely easy for us. He was prompt to respond, always professional and extremely welcoming! The cars were beautiful to say the least! We went with the 1959 rolls as well as the party bus and it was superb! Mel was on time (in fact early) to pick us all up and got us to where we needed to go.

Thank you so much for making our day extremely special and AMAZING! Definitely go with this company if you are thinking of getting a classic car for any occasion.

I surprised my wife with a classic car for our wedding and was extremely pleased with Classy Chassis Rentals. The car was beautiful, on time, and Mel is a great guy. He was able to walk me through the process and helped pull of the surprise. He was also very patient with us as we took photos with the car when we arrived at our event. These cars are amazing! We rented the 1957 black and grey Bentley for our wedding and it was spectacular! Mel, the owner, let us view and sit in the car before we signed anything. H e was so nice and professional. The driver was early to pick me up and let us take picture around the car as much as we wanted. It definitely added a touch of style to our wedding!

We had a beautiful classic car pick us up from the church to go take pictures on the beach. The driver was courteous, punctual and professional. We enjoyed our ride! When reserving the car, the gentleman I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and provded suggestions on places for us to go and take pictures. He sent a couple different e-mails of what they had done in the past to help us make our decision. This company went way beyond what was needed and we are very grateful for the efforts! Our experience with Classy Chassis could not have been better! Mel was so gracious and helpful every step of the way. The drivers were absolluteley wonderful. I told my customers (I work at Starbucks) about them and they called them and used them for their daughter's wedding about a month and a half later. They said how grateful I mentioned them, because their vehicles gave the wedding just the right touch. That was the reason I used them. My daughter's wedding was going for the look around the 20's-40-s era and their cars fit that look. I would recommend them again and will use them again (I have two more daughters to marry off) when the time comes.
As for the future brides, book this one early. The sooner you have things booked it is one less thing to stress about. My daughter did most of her planning and kept it on her laptop but also a binder (she printed out everything) so she always had the information with her. She never stressed about the details because they wrote everything down. Keeping the stress off yourself will make everyting so much easier.
If you need a limo, use Classy Chassis. They are professional, accessible, and most important of all caring and personal.

Beautiful cars!!! I did this as a wedding gift for my husband-to-be.
He loved it!!!
It was raining so we couldn't get the pictures that we wanted, but it was a nice drive to the hotel and Mel (our driver and I believe owner) was really nice and professional. From the moment we spoke on the phone to the minute we got into the car Mel was a great help, very understanding of our situation and offered us great deals! The strawberries and wine are definitely worth it! The strawberries are dipped in both chocolate and white chocolate to look like tuxes and wedding dresses. Super cute!!!

Mel at Classy Chassis is a pleasure to work with! He was so nice and accommodating, we reserved a beautiful Rolls Royce for our grand exit and they even played some exit music for us from the car! The chauffeur was SO nice, professional, great uniform, and just a really nice guy. He was extremely nice and helpful. He seemed to be the lead and stayed in touch with the groom's limo to ensure he was where he needed to be. The day of my wedding, I had a change in locations that the limos had to go too. There was no problem, no extra cost, and my guests told me the chauffeurs was wonderful.

Mel was excellent. The car I rode in was the most beautiful car ever! I enjoyed the day and know I was envied when I drove off in my rolls! The experience was well worth the dollar and the driver was so nice and helpful. He even opened the door for my husband! WOW.

Classy Chassis by far was the most reasonable rental place for high end vehicles out there. I originally picked the 1957 Bentley Silver and black because the 1962 White Rolls Royce was booked for my wedding date so it was fine. They ended up calling me the night before my wedding and told me that the Bentley was having mechanical issues and that they had the Rolls Royce avail! Not only did they show up early to insure they were there on time, but Mel also had chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne for me on the house because they didn't have the Bentley! Highly recommended and very professional look no further!

Mel was amazing. I booked with Mel and he was awesome. He helped me through the whole process. The day of my wedding the driver showed up on time which was great. The only thing is I did not see him. He must have been off to the side when we came out for our pictures, so we took pictures by the car and it wasn't really that big of a deal. Then during our grand exit I met the driver before leaving the venue, he seemed very nice. My husband by this time was semi drunk. He drank a lot at the wedding so we weren't able to talk much with the driver because it was such a short drive over to the hotel and I wanted to make sure my husband didn't get sick in there fabulous car. All in all I was happy with the service. He seemed to be a really nice guy in the short time that we spoke and there services were very professional. We even got the married sign on the back of the car which turned out great for photos.

I chose Classy Chassis Rentals because of their reputation and because they had the car I wanted. I'll get my one 4-star comment out of the way first: They ain't cheap.

However, I'm still giving 4 stars on value because everything else was so perfect. My father surprised my bride and I at our wedding with a chauffeured 1957 Bentley from Classy Chassis. The car was just so cool, the driver was extremely polite & professional, and he even took us far out of the way so that we could enjoy the amazing car on a beautiful night, and get to spend some time alone after our wedding.

Bottom line: There is just something incredibly special about cruising along the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean in a chauffeured classic car. Makes ya feel like you're in a movie or something.

We rented a vintage car to take pictures around after our ceremony, and then we rode to the reception in it. They were great! Professional and flexible all the way to the event, and our driver was a pleasure! 4.0 on value just because we only had about a 2 minute drive so it was a little pricey just for that, but the pictures we took around it looked great (especially the Just Married sign they stuck on the back and gave to us after).

Mel Harrison himself drove us the day of our wedding. He was soooo good at keeping me calm on a day that becomes very stressful. He worked really well with our photographer. Even when we went over the time limit by a few minutes, he ensured us that it will be OK. All my guest loved the Rolls Royce. It really made our wedding classy. I would recommend Classy Chassis to anyone interested in a classic vehicle to hire.

The quality of service was beyond expectation. The driver was perfectly professional and understood exactly what we wanted. Classy Chassis not only blew us away when we exited the church and saw the beautiful, Rolls Royce convertible outside, but our guests as well. Our driver was very courteous, making sure the bride's dress made it into the car okay, made sure she actually WANTED to drive with the top down (she didn't mind her hair getting messy in such a cool car) and treated us like royalty as he took us from the church to a location for pictures and then on to the reception site. They're a little expensive but it's well worth the cost when you get a response like we did from our guests and even random people we passed on the street. Not to mention our pictures will be spectacular!

Classy Chassis came recommended by my fabulous planner so I didn't have any interaction with them until the day of the wedding. The driver was nice, he had a red carpet for us as part of the service with our vintage Rolls Royce. It was a bit pricey but this was something we wanted. Unfortunately, LA traffic hit us and we had to pay overages but we were well aware of that policy upfront so it wasn't a shock. they require a credit card on file. I was expecting the interior of the vehicle to be a bit more plush but it was in good condition regardless.

The driver was very prompt too.

This a long overdue review. My fiance, now husband, found Classy Chassis on the internet back in August 2017. At the time Mel was pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable over the phone so he booked them as the "get away" car for our September 30, 2017 wedding. The day of our wedding Mel called my husband and told him the car we had rented was having mechanical problems so he was sending a different car. We were OK with that of course because we didn't want to get stranded. What we got in its place was TOTAL disappointment and embarrassment to say the least! The car "looked" beautiful from the outside but inside it smelled old and musty and on top of that, the transmission AND brakes were failing badly. When we drove off in front of our guests, the car jerked and made clunking noises. We were in the car for about one minute (no joke, we had gone one block) when we got to our first major intersection. The brakes didn't work like they are supposed to and we slid into the intersection almost getting hit by a car who had the green light! At that point, we had enough and told the driver to turn around and take us back to our venue. There was no way we were going to trust the driver or the car to take us on the 30 minute drive to our hotel. All our guests were shocked to see us back in less than five minutes after our "grand exit." It was embarrassing explaining that the very expensive car we rented was a TOTAL PIECE OF JUNK and we almost got in a car accident just minutes after leaving our wedding reception. We paid Classy Chassis $720 for less than a 5 minute ride! Mel told my husband he was sending a replacement car because the car we rented was having mechanical problems, so he sent us a musty smelling replacement car with a bad transmission and bad brakes! My husband sent Mel a text telling him about all the problems and asked for a partial refund but Mel NEVER responded and NEVER gave us a refund. This was BY FAR THE WORST vendor we have ever worked with.
