Outstanding customer service and such great talent. There is a lot of love put into every cake request and Andrea makes you feel special regardless of budget constraints. That is unique and much appreciated. Definitely will use this bakery again!

Andrea at Classic Cakes provided us the most perfect cakes for our wedding. She is a true artist in terms of visual beauty and amazing baking skills! We had four small cakes and one two tiered cake that all looked gorgeous. She was so helpful and understanding as I had about one thousand different ideas for how I wanted each of the single cakes to look. Andrea delivered gorgeous cakes in six flavors. Our guests absolutely loved the cake. We had 105ish guests and had about 114 servings ordered. We only went home with a few servings! We had Sugar Cookie, Grand Marnier, Blueberry Limoncello, Red Velvet My Way, Mexican Hot Chocolate, and Carrot. We loved our cakes so much we wanted to showcase them with some beautiful hand written acrylic signs from our decor vendor to identify each cake.

Andrea was wonderful to work with and the cakes arrived looking gorgeous on stands that we had borrowed from her. I can't wait for our one year anniversary so that we can get another cake from her!

We went in for a tasting, for our wedding cake, and we were sold right away. Andrea's cakes are so delicious!! She helped us design the perfect cake and was so helpful along the way!
On the big day, she arrived early with the cake and we were amazed! It was absolutely stunning and everything we wanted! We had a hard time waiting until we got to cut the cake. That first bite was just as delicious as the tasting, our guests thought so too! We are still hearing compliments about our yummy cake!

Andrea is soo talented! My husband and I went on an amazing tasting, and fell in love with all of the different flavors we could incorporate into our wedding cake. She sketched a beautiful design of what our cake would look like, and there was not one piece left at our reception! Our guested raved about the flavors. We are thrilled that we chose Classic Cakes. I'm not a huge fan of frosting and really wanted a naked cake. A few other vendors I talked with discouraged the idea, but Andrea was all in. I loved the fact that we got to have multiple (delicious) flavors and the naked cake design turned out even better than I could have imagined. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and almost too pretty to eat. Loved the berries Andrea used to accent the design with as well!

Working with Andrea was a joy. She truly loves what she does and that passion results in delicious and beautiful cakes. Words cannot express how great my wedding cake was. Not only was it beautiful, but the flavors were amazing as well. People are still talking about my cake and my wedding was 3 months ago! Andrea was absolutely great from beginning to end and. Her talent and level of professionalism is top notch and it would prove hard to find anyone who compares.

Andrea did our wedding cake for our wedding on 11/2/13, and it was absolutely perfect! We received so many compliments not only on how beautiful it was but also how great it tasted. The applesauce, red velvet, and fleur de sel were our guests' favorites. Andrea was extremely professional, and it is obvious how passionate she is about her work when you meet with her for your consultation. She was a little more pricey than some of the other cake vendors that we looked into, but it was worth every penny. Her designs are gorgeous, and she offers a wide range of flavors which allows you to truly customize your cake any way you want. This is her full time business instead of a hobby on the side, which shows in the quality of her work. She was impressive in every way, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding cake vendor in the KC metro area.

Perfect!!! Applesauce, red velvet and lemon poppy seed were our three layers with a butter cream frosting. Andrea was a breeze to work with. Beautiful cake, no complaints. Healthy and made from scratch, couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you andrea for making our wedding cake dreams come true.

Classic Cakes did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding cake! Andrea took the lace pattern from my dress and made that the design on the cake...impressive! And it looked amazing! It was one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen and was everything I had ever dreamt of. And not only was the cake BEAUTIFUL but it was one of the most delicious cakes as well!! People have told me WEEKS after the wedding how they STILL want another piece....and so do I! Her flavors are unique, delicious and vibrant! I was so happy to be able to offer my guest something a little different than just traditional wedding flavors! I would HIGHLY recommend Classic Cakes to ANY bride/groom! They were amazing!!!

Andrea is a true artist! Her cakes are amazing in every way! She helped me surprise my groom with his favorite cake as one of our layers- German chocolate. When he sliced into it and found it was his favorite he said " you really do love me!". Sublime! By the way- everyone loved the German chocolate so much it was the first to go!

The only issue we had with Andrea and Classic Cakes is that everyone LOVED the specialty flavors that we picked out SO MUCH...the cake was gone before we got any! (Other than our first cutting of the cake, of course!)

She gave us lots of tasty choices that made our cake stand out for our guests, and she did a fantastic job in answering the questions we never knew we had about wedding cake planning. She's the best!

Andrea at Classic Cakes was AMAZING!!! She is a reliable person with a kind and caring personality. She has a variety of unique and delicious cake and icing flavors to choose from. Andrea made our wedding cake and my husband’s groom cake, which were exactly what I envisioned. Classic Cakes I found to be reasonably priced compared to other vendors, especially taking into consideration how much more delicious Andrea’s flavors were compared to the others. A year later the guests at our wedding are still talking about how wonderful our cake tasted! :) My husband and I loved our cake so much we decided to have an anniversary cake made for our 1 year anniversary!

My cake was amazing!!!!! It couldn't have been anymore perfect from the taste to the look! I even told her to do what she thought would look good and just told her my colors! She did amazing! I highly recommend Classic Cakes!!

Andrea was the most professional cake artist we met with. She knows the science of cake-making probably better than the back of her hand, and she has a back-up plan for every situation. Our cake was beautiful and delicious. Even my photographer (who has had her fair share of wedding cakes) said this was the best wedding cake she has ever eaten. We loved every last bite!

Beautiful AND Delicious! Our wedding was so incredible... Andrea of Classic Cakes made us a 5 tier cake with the design that was exactly what we wanted. I had the caterers save me and my husband two large slices of each flavor so we could be sure to taste each delicious cake. I’m so glad we did because we didn’t have any cake left over… AT ALL! Everyone LOVED it! I had so many guests say it was the most gorgeous AND most delicious cake they’d ever had. I have to agree with them! Everything was absolutely perfect! Just perfect! Andrea, Thank you so much for all your hard work! I couldn't have asked for a better cake vendor!

We are obsessed with cupcakes and have tasted "famous" cupcakes in tons of different cities, and I can assure you that you will NEVER taste a better cupcake than the ones by Andrea. Go do a tasting, and the decision will be made for you. Everyone at my wedding RAVED about our cupcakes. Definitely try the Snickerdoodle cupcake. It tastes just like a snickerdoodle cookie! We also had Strawberry Shortcake, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Carrot Cake, and Chocolate Malt flavors. I will say that her cakes are more expensive than most but that is because she not only uses the best ingredients (all gluten free, organic, etc) and she bakes from scratch. She pays for the best ingredients and it is totally worth it. She also does baking classes at A Thyme for Everything in Lee's Summit. I'm going in December to learn how to make her Snickerdoodle cake.

Andrea has the BEST cakes!! She has a great eye for and attention to detail! She is wonderful to work with and truly has a passion for what she does. Our cupcakes turned out amazing, we received tons of compliments and almost EVERYONE went back to try to get 2nds! At the end of the night I think our guests had licked the crumbs off the table!

Andrea designed the wedding cake and the groom's cake. Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! I told her what I wanted and she designed it perfectly! The Groom's cake was also amazing - she managed to perfectly replicate my husband's fraternity pin. Everyone was just amazed and we received so many compliments. She was a real sweetie and I really enjoyed working with her.

Andrea did a wonderful job on my wedding cake! She had multiple pictures and ideas for creating my cake, we worked together and she was very creative. The cake turned out perfect and lasted all day in the entry way of my reception venue despite 97 degree heat! I was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend her services.

Andrea does incredible work with butter cream and I love all the natural ingredients she uses for her unique flavors. The cake was a hit with all my guests at the wedding and I definitely would recommend couples to use classic cakes

She was very friendly and courtous. She was always there when I had any questions. Everyone at the wedding loved the cake they thought it was amazing. I think that it was what I had the most compaments on. I loved the cake so much that i had her make 2 before to the wedding to eat at home! I would recommend her to anyone. I was going to go with a cheap cake from wamrt/traget/ or hyvee. but you get what you pay for, cheap taste, deliver it yourself, and doesnt look professional.

We met with another wedding cake baker that was recommended by our planner. Although good, neither one of us could justify paying almost 1000.00 for a wedding cake for 130 people. It wasn't exraordinary- and lets face it- it's cake! We met with Andrea, who had us sample almost 20 different fabulous flavors. Our first baker offered 4, the basics. We loved that Andrea was a scratch baker and that she was open to making anything we could imagine. We figured she would be very expensive and were thrilled that a 4 tier cake to serve our 130 guests was more that 50% less than out first baker- we spent less than $500. The cake was DIVINE! We had chocolate malt w/ choclate hazelnut filling; orange cream poppyseed with chocolate ganache; strawberry shortcake; and almond w/ almond cream filling. Everyone raved about the cake. It was beautiful, elegant, and most importantly, tasty:)

These cakes are made FROM SCRATCH - not a box - with an incredible flavor selection. You also are given the option to have each tier of the cake made into a different flavor. We did not want a perfectly constructed, fondant iced, vanilla cake. We wanted something that tasted like homemade and still looked fun. Andrea did a fantastic job matching the picture we provided using only REAL buttercream frosting which is amazing. The cake was really above our expectations entirely and we recieved many, many compliments on it.

Classic Cakes was not only everything you could want in a wedding cake decorator, but she was personalized as well, which is something that very few vendors pay attention to. She really wanted to make our vision a reality and was willing to do whatever we asked to while also being real!

Andrea was a great person to work with! She was very organized and she made sure that I was comfortable with everything we were doing. She even called the day before my wedding to let me know that the cake was finished, that it was beautiful, and that she just wanted me to have that piece of mind. On top of her being so professional, the cake was absolutely delicious. I had four layers of cake, each one a different flavor. She had so many flavors (which I got to taste test) to pick from that I had a hard time narrowing it down to only 4! She didn't charge extra for the flavors either. Most importantly, the cake was delicious. I got compliments from so many people, and there were a lot of guests that wanted Andrea's contact information.

She was absolutely amazing. She took our wedding theme, colors, and the images we provided and created a stunning cake that matched beautifully. She was very flexible with us, took the time to get to know us and our wedding, and the cake was completely delicious!!

I would highly recommend Andrea to anyone in the Kansas City area wanting a yummy cake at an excellent price with the assurance that you are getting a friendly, helpful, and knowledgable cake baker who can make all your cake fantasies come true!! She somehow "looked inside my head" and saw the beach wedding cake of my dreams and the finished product was FANTASTIC! She definitely deserves her recent award and if I need to use her services for a future event I definitely would call her. She even went above and beyond in helping me secure a cake plateau when I was being picky at the last minute!!!

I can not say enough about Andrea and her cakes!!! It was the highlight of my day!! She has an amazing selection of flavors! She will do whatever design you can think of! She goes out of her way to make your cake wonderful! And for everything that she does her cost is more than reasonable! I have recommended her to all my friends and my sister in-law is using her in October for her wedding. Shop around all you like but you will not find a bigger bang for your buck! I love love love her! She is awesome!!

Andrea makes everything from scratch using high quality ingredients and you can tell - the cake was delicious. She offers so many great flavors and gluten free options as well. We chose White Chocolate Raspberry Chambord, Salted Caramel, Hummingbird, Sugar Cookie and gluten free Chocolate. She was able to re-create the lace pattern from my dress onto part of the cake and it turned out beautifully. Thanks Andrea!

Andrea did an absolutely amazing job. We showed her a picture that was similar to what we wanted and then told her all the modifications we had in mind. When we saw the cake the day of our wedding it was exactly what we had envisioned. We had five layers, all were different flavors, and all tasted wonderful.

After sampling some cakes from the more traditional bakers in town, we were overjoyed to discover Classic Cakes. Andrea has a delicate touch with organic flavors, and her cake creations are delicious, not heavy and over-iced. We had a hard time selecting cake flavors; they are all amazing. She also was able to take our hand-sketched design and turn it into a beautiful complement to our wedding theme. Our cake was lovely and delicious. Only complaint: she does not cut her own cakes, and our caterer had to fumble through dismantling the cake and cutting it. Ask her to instruct your caterer when she delivers the cake! Otherwise, a great wedding cake vendor!

Our cake was AMAZING! Andrea worked with our florist to match up the flowers from the ceremony and the centerpieces. But that's not what's so amazing--it's the flavor and texture of her cakes. It had an amazing dense texture with yummy smooth butter cream icing. Each layer was a different flavor and Andrea uses only the finest ingredients, which was a huge selling point. We ate some of the left over cake for nearly two weeks and it was still as dense and moist as it was the first day keeping it in the refrigerator. YUM! Highly recommend Classic cakes.

The cake tasted AMAZING!! The cake looked okay... It was pretty, but looked kinda fake; not like many of the examples I saw. Andrea is a sweetheart and her variety of flavors were awesome!

Classic Cakes provided us with an absolutely beautiful cake that was delicious!! Everyone raved about it. She listened to all my cake desires and ideas and made it happen. The cake was fairly priced and everything was completely on time. Classic cakes is highly recommended by me.

We ordered both our wedding cake and groom's cake from Andrea at Classic Cakes. Both were absolutely beautiful and delicious as well. I had a very unique design idea for my cake, and after scanning thousands of pictures could not find exactly what I wanted. Andrea was able to interpret the "picture in my head" and make it an amazing reality. It was actually breathtaking when I walked into the reception and saw the cake - everyone was already buzzing about it! Both were wonderful - each layer of each cake was a different flavor (lemon poppyseed w/strawberry, lime w/ lime curd filling, carrot cake; and chocolate-rasberry, chocolate caramel for the groom's cake) and Andrea was very open to allowing us to mix things up and create the flavors we wanted. Our guests were delighted with the variety and were glad we provided boxes to take a slice home! We couldn't possibly be happier with the service we received from Classic Cakes!

Stunning to look at and delicious to eat! Can’t get better than that! Andrea did a fabulous job at making the cake of my dreams! She matched the swirls on the cake to our wedding invitations; the detailing on the cake was exquisite!! The cake was moist and flavorful, and the buttercream . . mmmmm SO GOOD!! Andrea is very talented, professional and sweet and I would certainly go with her again! The only hiccup with the cake was that when she arrived with it she placed the cake topper to the side and not on top of the cake. I’m not really sure why she didn’t place the cake topper on top when she set up the cake, or why she didn’t leave instructions on how to properly place it on. After she left the wedding venue attempted to place the cake topper on, but did it incorrectly, and it tumbled down the back and shattered on the floor! It just so happened that we had brought a cute little novelty cake topper . . . the one with the bride straddling the groom. We were going to put on a cupcake in the background, but it ended up front and center on the main wedding cake . . . . Unexpectedly it has made a cute little story for our wedding.

Andrea did a great job. Our cake was fantastic and she was very proactive in anticipating problems which is a quality every bride really needs. I had to call all of my other vendors the day before to make sure everything was ready to go but she was the only one who called me! She is flexible and can meet early or late hours. One word of advice is to make sure you have an idea of what you want before you meet with her. She can work with any idea but she's a straight shooter and won't pretend to be able to read your mind. Overall we had a great experience with Classic Cakes and would recommend to anyone!

Andrea's prices were comparable to pretty much everyone else out there, but she offered a much better value for the money. Her cakes are entirely natural - with no extracts and you can definitely tell the difference. They are DELICIOUS! And she was able to accomodate my many requests. I felt like she understood my needs and desires and transformed them into a beautiful work of art.

The tasting phase for the cake was great! But the cake we received at the wedding was not edible. Cake was dry and lacking flavor. She was not asked to decorate the cake with the fresh flowers that were provided for the florist...instead took the liberty to decorate herself........this was not part of her job....she is not a florist and the design she created with the flowers was not satisfactory and was not the overall design the florist was going to create. Alot of money spent on a cake not served. Bride and groom very disappointed
