A beautiful and completely painless experience
From the very first tour all the way through the wedding itself and the post-wedding details, CJs was a joy to work with. The staff is experienced, professional and deeply invested in making you feel like your wedding is unique and important. Our planner Kaya Faison was so warm and attentive that she felt like part of the family. The wedding day was perfectly executed and appeared effortless, despite the very hard work CJs put in behind the scenes. Highly recommended. -

I walked into CJ’s with my dad to tour the venue, and it instantly felt like home. The level of hospitality from start to finish was truly next-level. Leah, our planner, was attentive, communicative, understanding, and compassionate throughout the entire experience. The most standout quality of CJ’s Off the Square was the service— the wedding day was an absolute dream. The staff was over-the-top accommodating, efficient, and professional. They executed every part of the rehearsal and day-of with precision. Every member of their team was kind. They treated me, our families, our guests, and the bridal party as if we were royalty. They kept the flow of the evening going without feeling rushed or stressed, and my friends and family have not stopped raving about the incredible time that they had. The historic house is absolutely beautiful— the groom’s suite (wine cellar) and bridal suite are classic and timeless. And the vendors that they have strategically chosen to partner with (Sara Curtiss; Petite Petal// DJ Moose// bakedinnashville// beyond details// the bartenders) are wildly talented. Our DJ even checked on us and offered to bring us a drink during dinner service— which seems like such a small gesture, but truly embodies the mission statement of CJ's. Absolutely unbelievable experience with CJs off the Square! We were lucky enough to have Leah as our coordinator and she knocked everything out of the park!! From all of the recommendations, questions we asked and tiny details she made sure were perfect - we couldn't have asked for a better experience with Leah! She was always SO king and accommodating to our schedules and made sure we stayed on track with all of the details leading up to our special day. The whole entire CJs team (even though we didn't get to meet all of them) was just spectacular it was the best weekend of our lives and we couldn't have done it without Leah and the support of the amazing team! Highly recommend having your wedding or special event at CJs and know that you are in VERY good hands with Leah. :) -

Our wedding at CJ’s Off the Square was absolutely amazing!
Our planner, Leah, guided us through every single step of the planning process and was truly incredible on both our rehearsal day and wedding day. She kept everything organized, calm, and running smoothly—even with the cold and rainy weather! The day was still beautiful and absolutely perfect.
She helped bring our exact vision to life and had fantastic recommendations for outside vendors.
Our wedding was intimate, fun, personal, and somehow even better than what we pictured.

CJ's Off the Square was the ideal venue for my daughter's wedding this past September. My daughter was born and raised in Illinois, her now husband is from Florida, and they were temporarily living in Arkansas while she was finishing Grad School when they became engaged. She knew she wanted a small, intimate wedding in the South but not necessarily in a barn. She started looking for venues online and found CJ's Off the Square on the Knot. She fell in love with the pictures and from being out of state, wanted an all-inclusive venue. Since she was out of State, she had a zoom meeting with Sidney. The one thing that stood out for me as the mother of the bride was that before she could sign a contract, she had to visit the venue in person, so there weren't any surprises on her wedding day. On a cold and rainy day in November we flew to Franklin to look at the venue. The only surprise was that it was more beautiful in person. It was exactly what she had wanted. During the entire process, Sidney was wonderful. She was thorough in all the details of what was included and what was not as well as offering ideas and suggestions. She was always prompt in responding to the many questions we had, and my daughter never felt "out of the loop". I loved the tasting event. The food was delicious, and she ended up choosing an entree she wasn't thinking of at first. I was impressed that you chose 2 entree selections rather than the standard each guests picks one entree. I received nothing but compliments about the food. Several guests told me that at most weddings, they end up having to get something to eat afterwards because there was not enough food. The portions were more than enough. Her wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. There were no glitches. The bridal party did get ready there with hair and makeup done onsite. This was a great option and made the day less hectic. It rained most of the day. But to my amazement, my daughter did not say a single word about the rain. It cleared about an hour before the ceremony. I asked my daughter the next day how she stayed so calm while it was raining. She said without hesitation, she was not worried at all. She knew that there was a backup plan if needed and she wasn’t concerned. Wow! That says a lot about the confidence that she had in this venue. I am still receiving compliments about the wedding. I cannot recommend Cj’s highly enough. It was perfect. -

If you want an outdoor wedding but are worried about rain, book CJ's. There were two thunderstorms the day of our daughter's wedding, but Leah bent over backwards to still have the ceremony outside in the garden in between. (The rain plan is also beautiful, facing the garden.) Contrary to what I expected, the planning process was stress-free because of CJ's almost-all-inclusive, clear process. At all scheduled decision-making meetings, our wedding coordinator Leah was consistently professional, responsive, and kind. When making a decision with her on setup, menu choices, menu cards, cake, DJ, bartending, all your decisions are already included, so there is no added cost. (You can choose upgrades, but there is no pressure to do so.) The menu tasting night was fabulous--like we were guests at our own event--and gave us confidence that the meal was going to be a highlight (it was!). Venues always ask about dietary restrictions, but CJ's follow-through was above and beyond. One of our guests with severe food allergies confessed to me afterwards that she assumed she wouldn't be able to eat--but she was met at her reception table by a staff member with a clipboard who re-asked all the food allergy questions, bringing her a special plate, and for that reason she felt confident and was able to enjoy dinner. The plating, linen and glassware options are plentiful. Our photographers said CJ's was their favorite venue for photos--so many unique settings within the garden and house. The champagne wall at the reception was a lovely addition. The chandeliers under the pavilion make for romantic, elevated reception photos. The DJ (included) was outstanding and the Zoom meetings with him were informative and helpful; he did exactly what the bride and groom asked for, and the reception energy was impressive. Our florist was Petite Petal from CJ's short list of florists they love, and Sara delivered a Monet-themed extravaganza that went above and beyond. The air conditioning in the bridal suite and groom's wine cellar works very well--I was worried beforehand! The staff brought out cold towels when it got hot, and our guests loved that thoughtful touch. Zero regrets; CJ's has SO many advantages. Many of our guests gushed during and after about the beauty of the venue and professionalism of the staff. Thank you CJ's, for making our Franklin hometown wedding everything we wanted it to be. -

When I first thought about planning a wedding, I was so nervous. Thinking about the vendors, the cake, and flowers, napkins, silverware....it can be so overwhelming. However, CJ's Off the Square wipes your worries away! Being able to go in and work with a team who knows what they are doing, are professional, and care about your personal vision was the GREATEST BLESSING. Even when I had everything planned out, but in true wedding fashion things changed at the last minute, the venue and my planner were able to roll with it without me even getting notified sometimes. They truly make wedding stress...STRESS FREE. Almost 3 months after my wedding, and I am STILL GETTING COMPLIMENTS. I had an amazing planner, who from beginning to end, never got annoyed with my questions, and would even give suggestions when I wasn't quite sure how it would look the day of my wedding. The staff respond quickly, and help you make off major checkpoints as you go through the process. I also loved how the cost was upfront. My husband and I started planning fairly early out, which gave us the ability to make payments every month, to ensure everything was paid for before the actual day. I loved this, especially because paying for a wedding all upfront can be daunting, no matter how much you prepare for it. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue for anyone looking to get married. Heck, we will probably do our vow renewal here years later! -

She really went above and beyond in every way... from organizing a timeline, planning vendors, and helping us make our vision a reality, to "first class service" on the day of our wedding. All of the ladies at CJ's made planning our wedding so much easier than it would've been without their help. We owe them a huge thanks!! We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at CJ's Off The Square in Tennessee, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From the moment we stepped into this enchanting venue, we knew we had found the perfect place for our special day.
First and foremost, we want to express our immense gratitude to our wedding planner, Sidney. From the initial planning stages to the grand finale, Sidney was an absolute gem. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine passion for creating unforgettable moments made all the difference. She took the time to understand our vision and limited budget then worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was executed flawlessly.
Sidney's warm and friendly demeanor made the planning process enjoyable and stress-free. Her expertise and guidance were invaluable, and she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire journey. When my mom couldn't come to our tasting due to covid, Sidney said no problem and wrapped up mom's stuff to go! Sidney's dedication to making our wedding day truly magical was evident in every aspect of the planning process.
The venue itself is a picturesque oasis. CJ's Off The Square exudes charm and sophistication with its lush gardens, elegant architecture, and intimate atmosphere. The versatility of the space allowed us to customize our celebration to reflect our personalities, creating a truly unique and personal experience for us and our guests.
On the day of the wedding, everything did not run seamlessly. I (bride) struggle with chronic health issues with flare up symptoms made worse by heat (we had a June wedding) and stress. During pre ceremony photos I got over heated and had a flare up, I felt horrible and didn't know if I could even walk myself down the isle. Sidney and her team took it all in stride! Without really being asked they brought me ice packs, set me up in front of a fan, and provided me with all the ginger ale I could drink, all without the guest or my future hubby ever being the wiser! They then went above and beyond and placed chilled towels at the alter and an extra chair incase I needed it during the ceremony. Somehow they also got a fan to my MOH so she would fan me during the ceremony as needed. Truly can not thank the CJ's team enough for their kindness and care.
The CJ's Off The Square team, led by Sidney, worked like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that every detail was executed with precision. From the ceremony in the garden to the reception in the beautiful pavilion, our wedding day was a seamless blend of romance, joy, and celebration.
We received countless compliments from our guests on the stunning venue, food, and the overall experience. CJ's Off The Square provided the perfect backdrop for our love story, and we are grateful to Sidney and the entire team for making our wedding dreams come true.

As soon as my partner and I were engaged, I knew I wanted to get married close to home in Williamson County. We toured other places, and had Zoom meetings with a few more, but nothing compared to the feeling we had when we walked through CJ's with our amazing coordinator Sidney. We knew that zero details would be missed. Planning a wedding while being long distance from each other AND the wedding venue could have been a disaster, but Sidney kept everything running on time, smoothly, with not a single hiccup in the whole planning process. She gave me bite size things to work on between our Zoom meetings, and always had the big picture in mind. And the wedding itself was absolutely breathtaking. Two months later I still have friends and family calling and texting about how absolutely spot on the entire event was because they could see me and my partner in all the details! Sidney surprised us several times during the planning process, bringing her amazing creativity to the table to take our initial ideas and blow them up into a full on event of the year. Truly, truly, truly from the bottom of our heart, thank you Sidney & CJ's! -

Wedding of our Dreams
We decided to change our elopement to a full scale wedding with less than 2 months until our set date. CJ’s off the Square and our planner Sidney made everything so seamless and pain free. I was worried about how everything would come together with such short notice but it was like Sidney read my mind and made our day picture perfect. We have gotten so many compliments on our wedding and even more compliments about the venue itself. CJ’s Off the Square is a hidden gem in downtown Franklin and a place your guests will love! My husband and I both agree if we had to do it all again, there is absolutely nothing we would change. Sidney made sure our day was perfect and handled everything from setting up my DIY flowers, to implementing the rain plan an hour before the ceremony, to packing us a to go box for the hotel afterwards! So many people even complimented the rain and said it added such a vibe to our day! We 10/10 would recommend ❤️ -

Sidney and all of the CJs team were not only professional but extremely friendly and responsive. The venue's landscaping is stunning and the overall layout is perfect for an intimate, romantic garden wedding. Booking with CJs made the whole planning process so easy with the inclusion of most vendors in the package while also allowing you to add your own flare and style. Sidney (our CJs planner) always made us feel like a top priority, made each planning visit fun and minimally stressful, and was there day of to keep everything running smoothly and to take care of any last minute needs. CJs was the perfect place for our wedding in April! The Main Street festival was the same day as our wedding and we were nervous about parking/traffic, but Brette and her team came up with a solution and it worked perfectly! We received so many compliments from family and friends about the venue, food and music. Everything was planned out so well by Brette, that on the day of the wedding, I had never felt so calm and stress free (looking back it’s weird how calm I was 😂). We feel very lucky that we were able to get married in such a beautiful, special venue! -

We are so glad that we chose to have our reception at CJ's!! We had our ceremony at St. Philip Catholic Church and it was so nice that guests could walk over to CJ's afterwards because it is so close. We only had 6 months to plan our wedding due to schedule changes (my husband is in the army) so it was a huge relief that so many details were taken care of for us. I loved working with both Allison and Brette. Everything turned out so beautiful and was exactly how I wanted it. We got married four months ago and people are still talking about how it was the best wedding they have ever been to. -

I would give 10 stars if I could!!! It is overwhelming to reflect on what a perfect process and wedding day we had with CJ's Off the Square. We had the honor of working with both Allison and Brette who care so much professionally, but most importantly, personally. CJ's is without a doubt a very well oiled machine- their planning process is streamlined and organized. We always felt like we knew exactly what step we were on and what to-dos were coming up. This made the entire planning process stress free and easy! Brette and Allison are true experts in everything weddings! They were true consultants with us and made several amazing recommendations that elevated our whole wedding. They are timely and knowledgable in answering *all* of my emails with random questions that would pop in my head. The day of our wedding was genuinely perfect. They thought of every single detail and the vision we dreamed of only came to life because of them. Every vendor we used spoke so highly of CJ's and it became clear how respected and admired they are in the wedding world. We are forever grateful for the experience we had with CJ's and it is a day we will cherish for the rest of our lives. -

The perfect day
CJ’s is hands down the most magical venue. It’s beautiful beyond words and everyone there works so hard to make your visions come to life. Allison was our original planner and she was so helpful during our first meetings, when she went out on maternity leave I was worried about switching planners midway through the process but Brette was phenomenal!!!! When I came to her wanting to just flip everything on it’s head and change it up she was able to take my vision and run with it (even though I didn’t think I communicated it very well). The whole day was better than I ever could have imagined and Brette and her team did such an amazing job and the day went so smoothly. I wish I could live our wedding day over and over again. They work with great vendors and we’ve gotten so many compliments on every aspect of the day!!!

Most enchanted venue to hold your wedding.
CJ's Off the Square was the most enchanting venue for our daughters wedding. We were so happy with the every little detail and thrill that CJ's is a one stop planning venue. They had everything we needed to make this the most magical day for all who were there. Our friends were so blown away by the venue, the food, the service. This may be rare to hear in this industry, but I have absolutely NO complaints about my experience at CJ’s!! From day one, they made us feel so important and were so attentive to what we were looking for. We could not have possibly asked for a better wedding venue than CJ’s! We got married in October 2021, after moving our wedding from October 2020 due to COVID. The venue is absolutely beautiful (a historic house with a beautiful garden, complete with koi pond) and in a great location (historic Downtown Franklin), but the best part is CJ herself. She is the most organized person we’ve ever met and is extremely poised and diplomatic, which is so important when planning any wedding but was especially important when planning with COVID around. She came up with creative ideas to make our guests feel comfortable, and when our guest count wound up being lower than expected, she came up with a way to reuse some of our extra florals, using our chuppah to create a beautiful secluded sweetheart table for us in the garden. Since CJ’s is all-inclusive and CJ chooses the best vendors to work with, we had a great caterer, florist, and DJ as well. CJ’s also works with you to pick out tablecloths, plates, chairs, etc. and coordinates everything. It could not have been easier — and given that we were planning from out of town during COVID, we really needed that! Use CJ’s! You won’t be disappointed! -

Our wedding at CJ’s was EPIC!
Deciding to have our wedding at CJ’s was the best decision we could have ever made! They make the entire experience, from start to finish, seamless and enjoyable! We loved having such a low stress planning process because it really allowed us to focus on enjoying our engagement!! Our wedding could not have been more beautiful too! The venue itself is such a dream and has such an intimate and magical feel! Our wedding planner/coordinator Sidney Darby was with us from start to finish and she really thought of every detail! We were so grateful to have Sidney and the rest of the CJ’s team to make our wedding so EPIC! I would relive that day over and over if I could. I highly recommend CJ’s Off The Square. I promise you will not regret it! -

This venue is so beautiful! There are no other place like it in Tennessee. We looked at other places but we knew that Cj's was going to be the place that would match our vision. Couldn't have found a better venue to help create the best day ever!! Not only is this venue beautiful from head to toe, the inclusion of almost every vendor made planning a breeze. Sidney was our planner and she was a rockstar! She helped guide us in the planning process and made sure no stone went unturned when it came to small details that could often be overseen. She was professional, enthusiastic, and truly seemed to care about giving us the perfect wedding. This was the second venue we looked at and then the last. Sidney was wonderful from start to finish. I was just married on Sept 3, 2022. I showed up to the bridal suite, got ready, hung out with my girls, and was escorted downstairs to get married. Every detail was taken care of without me thinking about anything that day. Brette Craig was a very valuable part of our lovely 50th wedding anniversary experience. First of all, she has Christian values that make her relatable to others with kindness and concern as well as desirous to complete a job in a very expert and most "appropriate to the occasion" manner possible. She was very engaged, helpful, punctual, and most professional in all aspects of our preparation. If I had a concern, she never tried to put me off until later with an answer; she was there and present in every moment we dealt with her.
Would I recommend her as a planner? Absolutely my husband and I would do so with no reservations! You simply cannot go wrong with such an experienced and dedicated lady! -

I couldn’t recommend CJ’s more. From the moment I booked, I didn’t have to worry about anything. My planners, Brette and Allison, were always quick to answer my questions & always worked with me to make sure I had my dream day. Brette made sure the day of our wedding went as smoothly as possible, and I’m so grateful to have had a planner like her! She brought up so many things I would have never thought to address in the planning process. I’m so glad I booked with CJ’s - the planning and service was like no other venue. We knew back in 2020 that CJs Off the Square was truly a hidden gem. Fast forward two years later to a summer day in July 2022, we were right. This establishment had been welcoming from the very beginning and willing to accommodate where possible. The day of our wedding was magical in every sense. We have never seen such coordination between so many parties run so smoothly. It rained after our ceremony and guest were promptly taken care of. In fact, guests are currently still raving about how amazing the customer service was from beginning to end. At the head of this was Sidney Darby, our wedding coordinator. Working with Sidney was a true joy. She always greeted us with a smile and was patient throughout while covering every detail. On the day of the ceremony, I as the bride had experienced delay after delay that were not associated with the venue. It was stressful to say the least. Sidney quickly adjusted the timeline without breaking a sweat and more importantly reassured me that all is still well. We will sing high praises for Sidney and CJ’s Off the Square for a LIFETIME. Our May wedding at CJs was like a fairytale. The venue is so beautiful and makes the event feel intimate and magical. The staff at CJs makes the experience stress free because they do all of the work! We planned our wedding at CJ's from states way in Maryland. This could have easily been an extremely stressful experience but it was not. That is 100% due to the amazing team at CJ's off the Square. Sidney at CJ's Off the Square was great to work with and she organized everything for us. What did we do? We had fun choosing our place settings; linens; lighting and colors. When I started looking for a venue for our wedding, I knew I wanted something outdoor that could be more on the casual side. When I saw CJs, the first and only place I viewed, I knew it was perfect. When my fiance and I first stepped into the pavilion and garden setting of CJ’s Off the Square, we immediately knew that this was exactly where we wanted to get married! The venue is beautiful and intimate, and the staff is amazing! We got engaged during COVID and pre-vaccines, and really didn’t know what to expect with our wedding planned for the Fall of 2021. But the staff followed all guidance to keep everyone safe, and the outdoor setting provided an extra sense of comfort and safety to our guests. CJ has the wedding planning process figured out to a T, and our wedding planner, Alli was so wonderful to work with. She got to know us and our style immediately, and after each meeting, we left saying how fun and exciting the process was. They make planning such a big event fun and stress-free, and even on the day of, Alli made sure all our needs were met so that we could just enjoy each and every moment of our wedding day. Our friends and family shared in our sentiment saying how perfect everything was, and it was summed up best by a friend calling it a “fairytale wedding”! We planned our wedding over the course of a year with Allison, our wedding coordinator. Her professionalism, knowledge, organizational skills, and creative eye exceeded our expectations!
We had a small, romantic wedding with just 51 guests. Although our guest count may have been small the details of planning was not! But with Alli, each planning session was so much fun & productive that we left feeling confident about the decisions made regardless of if it was floral decisions, the menu, music, set up or the cake!
CJ’s has created a first class wedding planning and event process to include their contracted vendors for catering, florals, music, cake and more! I can’t imagine the work it must take to create a seamless & stress-free experience as they provided and I hope every bride has the experience that I did, all because of Allison & CJ’s team!

Simply put, our whole experience and wedding day at CJ’s off the Square was nothing short of a dream. Every last detail was coordinated by our wonderful wedding planner, Sidney, over the course of a year. Sidney and the entire team at CJ’s had the planning process down to a science keeping it stress free and on a timeline. We were so excited each and every time we got to meet with Sidney whether it was to pick out table setting details or review food and drink options right up until our final walkthrough and rehearsal. We both can attest we actually had FUN while wedding planning.
Now comes our actual wedding day this past September… WOW. Our hearts are so happy reminiscing on every minute of our day at CJ’s. Not only was the ambiance beautiful and no small detail overlooked, Sidney and the staff at CJ’s made sure everything went off without a hitch, so much so that several guests made comments they had never attended a wedding that flowed so effortlessly. Our guests who came from near and far too Franklin, TN are still raving about the time they had at CJ’s. The beautiful grounds, the food, the drinks, the warm and inviting staff, and of course, the PARTY and dancing following dinner. It sounds cliche, but really… everything was perfect and came together better than our wildest imaginations. If you are considering CJ’s, go visit and do it!! We cannot recommend this venue or Sidney enough and feel so grateful to have the memories we do from this special place. -

As MOTB at a recent wedding at CJ’s Off the Square, I want to sing the praises of not only CJ Dickson but of her entire team, especially Allison Adams, our planner. While our daughter Katey and her fiancé live in Nashville, my husband and I live three states away and I admit to wondering at first what impact that distance might have during the planning process. It became clear almost immediately it was a non-issue as CJ’s has the timeline for the various selection deadlines down to a science and we simply had to be prepared, give them our decisions and enjoy the outcomes as they came to fruition!
I want to personally reassure any MOTB in my situation or any bride-to-be contemplating a Nashville-area destination wedding that not being local should never be a concern. CJ’s professionalism and warmth made it easy for any of us to call/email/text if we had a question or concern with the full knowledge that we’d get a prompt answer or solution along with a reassuring word.
When I walked into the pavilion right before our guests arrived and saw it and the garden areas set up so beautifully with CJ and Alli overseeing every detail, I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that from that moment on all would fabulous. And it was! As Katey has said (more than once) “That was the best day of my life!”

Going into the wedding planning process I was stuck. I wasn't 'that girl' that had everything already envisioned in her head of what her perfect day , so it was hard for me to get excited about ALL the details. That changed when we toured CJs! -Aside from the convenience of being close to home, we fell inlove with the beauty of garden and the intimacy the entire venue created. . Working with Allison as our wedding coordinator was a breeze in answering all our questions along with her honest opinions when we were stuck on choices and needed guidance... and we needed a lot of it!
Although I follow all of CJs social media and have seen other weddings, I was completely blown out of the water with how gorgeous everything was for our special day in September-- pictures do not do it justice.
We both come from big families and all of them said this was by far their favorite venue they've ever been to--- the layout, details, and staff made for such an enjoyable and memorable evening and we are so thrilled with how much our expectations were exceeded.
I highly recommend CJs to anyone, best decision we made all year! -

CJ’s Off the Square is such a beautiful venue and we couldn’t ask for a better location in the heart of downtown Franklin. My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at CJ’s in June (2021) and it was beautiful and something we will remember forever! My mom and I went to check out a few wedding venues in the area, but were blown away by CJ’s and knew this had to be our venue. We worked personally with Sidney, with one of the planners, and she was ready and willing to fulfill any request or idea we had thought of. We loved working with her and felt very well taken care of from our initial meeting to the wedding day; everything came together so beautifully! We highly recommend using CJ’s, not only is the whole place (house and garden) beyond beautiful, its an intimate setting that my friends/guests raved about even after the wedding day! We also loved the packages they offered, there was so much we did not have to worry about!.We wanted to show up on our wedding day and feel relaxed and we did just that, we knew their team would take care of everything.
