  Josh and his mobile pizza oven operation were the perfect choice for our outdoor rehearsal dinner at a historic property in Hyattsville. Not only is he passionate about the quality of his food, but everything about the service was extremely professional, from his responsiveness to emails to coming out ahead of time to visit the venue. Josh and his team's attention to detail the night of the rehearsal dinner was extremely appreciated and he coordinated well with other vendors in what was a non-traditional venue space. We would definitely recommend Cipolla Rossa for anyone who appreciates good quality Neapolitan pizza (and wood fired appetizers) for your catering needs!

  Everything was perfect!

  Omg this pizza is so, so good. It is so good that I had to have them cater our wedding. Josh, his mom, and the whole team are amazing and it's clear they are all passionate about making some damn fine pizza. The booking process was super easy (actually probably one of the easiest parts of planning the wedding) and Josh helped me tailor the menu (Josh, I forgive you for talking me out of adding mushrooms to everything 🤣 . ) Our wedding day was cold and the space we had for food was outside and got a little cramped (the venue space- no fault of Cipolla), but Josh and his team were all smiles and our guests loved them and devoured the pizza and salad. Get the salad, it's also really good! It must also be said that having their mobile wood-burning pizza oven at your event just really takes everything up a notch. Everything was perfect, Josh, and we really appreciate you and your team!

  Great food, great attitudes

  Cipolla Rossa was so fun to work with! Josh was very laid-back and good at dispelling whatever wedding-planning stress we came to him with :) which was often a lot. Yet he was also completely professional, timely, and organized! Not to mention, the pizza was incredible.
  
  These guys brought a great attitude to every interaction, which really meant a lot to us. I've been to weddings where the vibe of the vendors really disrupts the mood the couple is trying to create, but Josh and his team fit right in with our loving and fun group.
  
  He was also very communicative and flexible about payment and finalization of menus. He was willing to schedule the walk-through months ahead or weeks ahead, whatever we wanted.
  
  We got a lot of pushback from other caterers about wanting pizza at our wedding, but if that is your dream, don't let it go! Cipolla Rossa made that dream come true for us :)
  
  OH! And they also make killer desserts! We had apple crisp and chocolate chip cookies, made right in the pizza oven (which, by the way, is a beautiful mosaic tiled oven that looked great in our pictures).

  We had Josh and the Cipolla Rossa Pizzeria team cater our farm wedding on September 15, 2018 and it was AMAZING! From the first moment we reached out to Josh about prices and options, to helping plan the menu, to their arrival and wood-fire cooking on premise...everything was BEYOND perfect! We received SO many compliments from family and friends about the quality of the pizza and the friendliness of the team that were there. It was definitely a wedding to remember. My only regret was that I was too busy talking to people that I didn't get to eat more pizza because it was DELICIOUS! Thanks again for making our day so memorable Josh and the Cipolla Rossa team - you guys truly rock!

  Josh (he runs Cipolla Rossa) was simply incredible. He catered our event for about 50 people and everyone loved the pizza and salad. He was very easy to work with and he was very responsive via email. Josh and his team were so kind to everyone (including a handful of kids) and were able to make a last minute accommodation for gluten-free guests. He also packed us up a few leftover pizzas to take home which were terrific the next day. Can't recommend Josh/Cipolla Rossa enough!

  First and foremost, the pizza that Josh and his team make is fantastic; the taste of the pizza dough is probably the best I have ever had. After sampling their pizza at the Bethesda farmers market (they are there on Sundays), we decided to use them to cater our wedding in Howard County. They provided plates, forks, and napkins if you want it. Salad is included with the price too. We went with an appetizer served 30 minutes before the pizza, meatballs, which were homemade and phenomenal. Every guest couldn't get enough of them, and everyone loved the pizza too. Additionally, we were a smaller wedding, and so they cooked up all of the leftover pizza for us to freeze and save for later, which was pleasantly unexpected! In general, Cipolla Rossa was on time, very reasonably priced, very responsive and easy to deal with, and most importantly, served us a thoroughly enjoyable dinner.

  We used Cipolla Rossa to cater our wedding and couldn’t have been more impressed. The pizza was fantastic (we had the Bianca, Margarita, and Sir Porkalot), and Josh and his staff were excellent. They kept the buffet stocked for our guests throughout the evening, and our guests loved the pizza. Josh was very easy to work with throughout the process and we cannot recommend Cipolla Rossa enough. Excellent pizza and great people!

  We hired Josh for our engagement party and were very happy with the food, professionalism and staff. Our guests absolutely loved the pizza and raved about it. We also had appetizers, which were all great, but the meatballs were definitely a stand out. We are looking forward to our next occasion to have Cipolla Rosa again!

  Josh and his crew were absolutely amazing!! They were professional, prompt, courteous, and most of all - DELICIOUS,! Without doubt the best wood-fired pizza around! They worked with us before and during our event - and were amazing with our guests. I highly recommend Cipolla Rosa - they were truly perfect for our rehearsal dinner!
