If you are searching for a photographer you MUST hire David and Blonnie. Not only are they creative geniuses by trade- they understand people. They understand how to motivate grumpy grooms when then don't want to take anymore pictures and how to calm frantic brides/bridesmaids.
I hired them for my destination wedding and it was the one decision I would do over and over. I felt like they just fit into our group of guests as if I had known them my whole life. (there are a lot of crushes on Blonnie from all my girl friends- we loved hanging out with her all morning)

I really can't say enough about David and Blonnie. They made me feel so comfortable (take it from someone who hates getting their picture taken). We received our AMAZING sneak peak video only about 2 days after our wedding and all of our pictures less than 2 months after our big day. Everything looks incredible. I have zero regrets about hiring them, they're the best!

We had a great experience with David and his partner Blonnie...we met by chance outside the Art Museum, the photographer that we had booked for our engagement pictures was running late and Blonnie and David's clients were also running late. When we found out our photographer had to cancel, Blonnie and David graciously offered to take a few pictures of us. The shoot was short but they did a great job making us feel comfortable and the pictures came out great, and we received them so quickly! We are so thankful they helped us out, and would definitely recommend them!

David and his assistant Blonnie were amazing! I was anxious about finding the right photographer and videographer, and they exceeded my expectations at every level. We had a blast at our engagement session, and so much fun getting to know them both. They did an incredible job of capturing us as a couple, and also got some adorable pictures of our pup :)

For the wedding, they were thorough, prepared and made the experience as stress free as possible. But most importantly, the pictures are stunning! I can't wait to see our video and know it will be equally amazing. I hope I am able to work with them again for other special occasions, it was such a wonderful experience and I would recommend them to anyone getting married or just looking for some amazing photographers!

BEST INVESTMENT FOR OUR WEDDING HANDS DOWN! David Mielcarek and Jonathan Barmby were professional and beyond talented. We had them film our wedding and we also did the slow motion video booth. Less than 2 weeks later we had our slow mo video completed ( HILARIOUS) and our Coming Soon video. I can't tell you how happy we are with their work! The editing is flawless and we are so excited to get our full length video. This is something we will have forever and the VALUE for this memory is irreplaceable. You miss so much during the day, and to replay it, is what every couple wants. We can't recommend any higher!!!

Thank you is certianly not enough in appreciation for all that David and his assistant Blonnie did for us before, during, and so soon after our wedding. From the minute we started our engagment pictures and David embraced our dog, and then had ice cream with us, I knew we were going to get along. He is a complete artist, I was completely comfortable letting David lead the way and tell us where and how for all of our pictures. His visions were of another level, and yet he made every movement fun and more exciting then the last. When I anxiously asked David for some teaser pictures just within a week of our wedding, he was more than willing to show us what he has been working on. He was respectful of the ceremony, and of our need to be on the dance floor at all times. I can not wait to work with David and his team again!

Words can’t express my gratitude and appreciation to David and his partner Blonnie Brooks for their passion, commitment and artistic talent for our New Year’s Eve wedding.

It’s hard to put into words, but David captured moments throughout the evening that I didn’t realize how remarkable they were until I saw them in the photos. For instance, I was watching my husband dance with his mom and his sister came over to whisper something to me. The photo that was captured shows the love between my new sister-in-law and me. While it was happening, I knew it was special, but wow, the photo says a million words. I’m so fortunate to see these moments captured and am lucky to know how priceless they are.

Like many, we were hesitant to do engagement photos since many that we see look forced and unnatural, but with David, those words are the farthest from the truth. David captured our personalities (and our dog) in a way that makes me tear up whenever I look at the pictures, as you can see the true emotion shine through. We used locations that have meaning and David brought these places to life for us. His use of our natural surroundings was brilliant and the pictures are truly “us”.

David is thoughtful, considerate, and committed to his work. My husband and I have even become better photographers by imitating some of the things we learned while he was photographing us!

To sum it up in one sentence, David is a passionate photographer that knows how to capture the moment.

I cannot say enough about what an unbelievable talent David is, he is a genuine artist. David's attention to detail and ability to pick up inspiration from everywhere are unparalleled. We knew this from my cousins wedding, which we remembered years later, but he's also so much fun to work with. Neither my husband nor I would have described 'posing' as a good time but David made our engagement session such a blast and it really came through in the pictures. On our wedding day so many guests and bridal partiers made a point to mention how great David (and Chrissy) and were. David not only adeptly and professionally handled sticky family situations, but he even made everyone at ease. Finding someone who loves and takes pride in what they do isn't at all common but also being a joy to work with is extremely rare. His work is nothing short of exceptional! Being a wedding makeup artist myself, I have seen ALOT of photographers over the years with the brides I have worked with. When I saw David's pictures from my friend's wedding in June of 2013, I was BLOWN away. Literally three days after I got engaged, he was the first vendor I contacted after we had our date secured. If you want a run of the mill, "Style Me Pretty" type of photographer David is not your guy. If you want photographs with rich and vibrant colors, unique artistic set ups, perfectly captured candids and photos with intense depth, David is the photographer for you. He shot our engagement photos, our rehearsal dinner and our wedding and I could not be happier with the photographs or working with him. We got the perfect blend of stunning artistic/cinematic shots and candids oozing with emotion. He will do whatever it takes to make you happy and comfortable! When it came time to my wedding, I had a few requests for specific photos, which he was able to do. I also let him take the creative reigns, and man did he deliver! At our reception, we had an INCREDIBLE sunset, so I told him and his assistant to sneak us out when the sky was perfect for a photo session, and that was honestly one of my favorite memories from the wedding! I also highly recommend booking an assistant through David because he certainly can't be two places at once! I have yet to see 100% of my wedding pictures yet (got married 9.13.14), but the 30+ previews on Facebook have been incredible and I am sure the rest will be awesome too! We HIGHLY recommend David Mielcarek! Thank you for giving us EPIC memories!!

I can not rave enough about how pleased we are with David and his team!! They were so professional and such a pleasure to work with. David made me feel comfortable in front of the camera and got the perfect shots without being too "pushy." We received our trailer so fast (about 1 week after the wedding) and I absolutely LOVE the finished product. The video is so romantic and artistic! He listened to exactly what we wanted our video to look like and created a product that was everything we wanted and more. It is truly a love story and I can't wait to see the full video. Also, the footage from the video drone was awesome! The thing went above the clouds and was able to get an ariel view of our entire event! I HIGHLY recommend David and his team, you won't be disappointed!

David did a fabulous job with both our engagement photos and wedding photos. He was easy to work with, got excited with us about the ideas we had, and gave us the most perfect memories of our wedding day. David is unbelievably creative, and really will/try do anything for the perfect shot. We were sold very quickly on his work, knowing that our photos would be modern really have that 'wow factor'. You barely knew David was around the day of the wedding, but he didn't miss a single photo opportunity! He did such a great job it looked like we had a second photographer. We met with countless photographers for our wedding and couldn't figure out how to make a decision until we met David. His great personality and unbelievable portfolio of work made what seemed like the hardest decision at one point into one of the easiest decisions of our wedding planning process.

Hiring David was by far the best decision we made in all of our wedding planning. Not only is he an expert photographer, he is also an expert at weddings. We fell in love with his photography at first glance, and of course he delivered simply amazing photos of our special day. Not only that, but being with the bride and bridesmaids on the wedding day, he made sure everyone stayed on time. He made sure no one was in his way of getting his job done. He is very friendly, easy to get along with, and is more than wiling to accommodate any of your requests. We asked for an MTV-style video confessional and he came up with it. His Photo Booth options are awesome. Our guests had such a blast between the two of them. We don't know how he was nowhere to be seen, but everywhere at the same time. We now call him the photo ninja!! We strongly recommend hiring David as your wedding photographer. We feel so lucky that we found him and hope to work with him again in the future.

Hiring CINEMATICbyDavidM was THE BEST decision I made. He’s a contemporary photographer with an ability to get creative, innovative and unique pictures but also able to catch those classic wedding moments you’ll want forever. David is the most passionate, fun, creative, and artistic photographer I could possibly imagine. He exceeded all of our expectations by capturing the most natural and real images from our day. There were so many small moments David caught that have so much meaning to us and we’re forever appreciative to him for capturing our love and personality. In addition to his beautiful work, David is also extremely flexible with what I envisioned and he so easily accommodates ANY situation or idea! It was great working with David during our wedding. He made us feel comfortable, which translated into great pictures of our wedding day. My husband and I knew David was the one for us when we met with him the first time. His style, approach, and product quality quickly won us over, and we were extremely impressed by his willingness to travel from Philadelphia to DC and Baltimore for our photo shoots. Our package was extremely generous in regards to time and products, and he stops at nothing to ensure the highest satisfaction with your photos. He was unobtrusive at the wedding, making everyone feel comfortable when taking photos, and the blend of formal pictures and informal candid shots really captured the essence of the day for us. He is also simply a great guy, and as my husband is one who is not comfortable getting his photo taken, he really took to David and we remain in touch to this day. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

At the time of our wedding, my husband and I lived about an hour and a half from one another, and both of us had to drive at least 40 minutes to get to the church. To complicate things even more, it was a non-holiday Monday morning during rush hour, and we had close to 800 people attend. Oh, and it rained all day long.

Even so, David and co-photographer for the day, Neil, both arrived to our houses bright and early in the morning and did such a phenomenal job the whole day, despite having to deal with the weather and traveling. Some of my favorite photographs were panoramic shots they took in the church. Though the weather impeded our opportunity to take posed pictures outside, David and Neil did a bit of improvising and everything came out great.

On a personal note, I was a very emotional bride and did a lot of crying while getting ready. David was so friendly and reassuring, and he even made me laugh! I will always remember David's kindness and professionalism, and I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a great photographer.

David photographed our wedding back in 2007 and was truly amazing. Having someone with you, that you don't know, so much on the biggest day of your life can be nerve racking. But not with David. He made everyone feel at ease, kept things light and really had a great time WITH us. We kept saying "We want to hang out with him and be friends with him after all of this is done!" Lucky for us we've gotten to do a lot of that as he went on to photograph my sister's wedding, my husband's sister's wedding and a handful of our close friends' weddings. And everyone is equally as in love with him and his work as we were back in 2007. His work truly captures the small and big moments and the moments when you don't think anyone else is looking. A glance at his portfolio will make you want to book him on the spot!

Now we've started a new chapter in our lives and have a 16 month old son, my sister has 17 month old twins and my sister-in-law has a 5 month old son. A few weeks ago my sister and her husband and twins met with David to do a shoot of the new family. And this spring/summer we'll be doing the same with our family, my sister-in-law's family and my in-laws. We couldn't be happier that he'll be a part of the next step in our lives and giving us photographs we'll always cherish.

David did an fantastic job. I found him through another photographer and really liked his work so I booked him. I love the pictures he took - he did both beautiful "staged" photos, and also captured everything as it happened. He put together a slide show that we played during the wedding that was the highlight of the reception. I had so many people come up to me afterwards to say they were amazed at how he put all these great pictures from the day together so quickly so everyone could see them.

In addition to being a great photographer, I found it helpful that David had a great personality to deal with the chaos that naturally comes with big event like a wedding day. Everyone loved him, so it was fun to have him around as we were getting ready. I think that helped him capture even more special moments because we all felt so comfortable with him there. He got great shots at the church service without being heavy handed, so we were able to focus on the ceremony and not be distracted.

I was thrilled with my experience that day and loved the pictures I got as a result, and I'm happy to recommend him as a wedding photographer.

David was recommended to me by a friend who had seen his work at another wedding; I've since recommended David to others. Without a doubt, David was the best vendor choice I made for my wedding. His relaxed attitude made my wedding party and guests feel right at ease. He was extremely flexible and provided great suggestions for locations, poses, and shots. David even took the time to coordinate 3 extended family shots, each of which had between 20 and 50 people. He was a lot of fun and professional at the same time. Most importantly, his work was absolutely amazing. I love my pictures; he captured the day in the photojournalistic way my husband and I were hoping for, while still managing to reflect everyone's personality. Because David was so relaxed, at ease, and fun, our usually unphotogenic group had a great time, and beautiful pictures of everyone is a testament to that. Definitely hire David as your wedding photographer--you won't regret it!

DAVID M. gets 5 STARS. If you want to get your money’s worth and so much more, I highly recommend him. My wife and I had our wedding in the NYC area, so we looked through many portfolios by photographers. Having a background in art myself, I wanted a photographer who could couple traditional wedding photos with gallery worthy images.

DAVID M. was the PERFECT COMBINATION OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AND GALLERY ARTIST.

My wife and I wanted our guest book pictures taken in the streets of Manhattan and in The Museum of Natural History. David was very accommodating and turned it into a lot of fun. We got a lot of compliments about our guest book on our wedding day.

As for the wedding day itself, David captured so many STUNNING PHOTOS of friends, family, and the indoor/outdoor locations. He took photos of unexpected moments, and very modern photos, but he also took traditional photos that our parents appreciated. He even achieved the impossible, an outdoor photo shoot with about 60 members from my huge side of the family. He was able to direct everyone respectfully and quickly. He is also a good judge of people and personalities. He blends into the background so your wedding day is uninterrupted. I saw him quietly shoot photos of guests who didn’t want any attention, but then I saw him having really fun photo shoots with the more outgoing guests at our wedding.

Additionally, David was a very comforting person to have around on a wedding day when you can be a little nervous of all that’s going on. He made us feel at ease and my wife and I were so happy he was there.

Other than the EXCELLENT SERVICE, GOOD CREW, and the ARTISTIC QUALITY of David's photography, the best part is that he is a real GENTLEMAN, and just an all-around good person. Most importantly, my wife and I now feel like he is a member of our family because he made our wedding day better than it already was and gave us the timeless photos that we will remember forever. 5 STARS!

David's work caught my eye while my friend was looking for a wedding photographer and the minute I got engaged I knew who to call. I was amazed by his style and talent. He is an incredible artist who knows exactly how to capture your special day in photographs. My favorite part of his work was the awesome slide show he did while guests enjoyed their cake. For anyone that couldn't make it to the ceremony they were able to watch it all through his amazing work.

It will be 5 years this September that my husband and I will be married, and we are still so thankful that David was there to capture each and every moment! It's almost 2 years since our wedding and as we look at the pictures every single day, we can only feel very lucky and grateful to have found David as our photographer. The pictures are beautiful, very artistic. David was easy to work with from the start, understood what we wanted and adapted to our circumstances. During our magical day he was discreet and yet seemed to have been everywhere. David is a true artist, and he has a unique ability to capture special moments right as they happen. When I look back at my wedding photos, I really feel like I am right back there, on that day, in the middle of everything. What more could I ask for? David came down to Guatemala and shot my wedding and just blew our minds. I am a wedding photographer and so really have a critical eye for the process and the product and we were SO happy with the results. He was so easy to work with. My family loved him. David Mielcarek is a truly incredible and inspirational photographer. Since our wedding, my wife and I have recommended him to many friends and family members planning weddings (or other important events) who were looking for a truly unique photographer. Unlike most photographers, David focus is on the non-traditional photographs of an event. He is very creative and finds ways to get involved and capture images of the most important and intimate moments without being intrusive. David uses unique angles and vantage points from which to capture scenes of the wedding and some of these images were so powerful that they have shaped our memories of that day.

His shots are more than just memories of the events he documents, they are art.

We are not the type to hang photos of ourselves around our home, but David's images from our wedding were so outstanding that we couldn't resist. Now, we have a few of our favorite images displayed in our dinning room.

Aside from his creative talents, David is a wonderful and easygoing person. He is a pleasure to work with, he is a good listener, and he has the ability to get along with everyone. This is extremely helpful during a wedding when there is often lots of pent up tension among family members and loved ones.

Lastly, I have read online on photography and wedding blogs that David is one of the photographers of choice for other professional photographers seeking to capture their own weddings and important events. If that doesn't say enough, I don't know what does...

David is the most incredible photographer I have ever seen. He captured our wedding day and all of the love and emotion that went with it in the most wonderful way. He made every moment fun and his artistic flare and creativeness are beyond comparison. We didn't have to worry about anything, all we had to do was celebrate our love with family and friends, David did the rest! And now, almost four years later we met up with David again and he did a photo shoot of us with our 16 month old twins. Again the pictures took my breath away. He captured the intense love that we have for our children, the fun we have with them and the deep love we have for each other. I would recommend David to anyone. He is THE BEST!

David is by far the best photographer around. It's hard to put into words how perfectly he captured the day. Not only was he able to capture some amazing pictures of my husband and I, he caught our family and guests smiling, crying and laughing. You can feel the emotion in the pictures. I will treasure them forever.

With social media as popular as it is I constantly hear what a wonderful photographer we had from those who know me and those that don't. Our pictures are truly magazine worthy. David deserves ten stars for his talent, professionalism, and eye for the very best shots.

David is not only a GREAT photographer, he is a visionary. He was the kindest, most calm presence in the midst of the wedding whirlwind and this was soooo important when dealing with such high emotions. He captured everything we wanted and then some! Can't I do more than 5 stars? David was the best. After interviewing David and looking at his wonderful portfolio, I felt the kids were making the right decision. Were they right, lets just say, my daughter and her husband had to buy a lot more frames. The images were fabulous, creative, beautiful and full of energy. He really captured the day. What is also important in selecting a photographer is making sure you like their personality as you will be spending a lot of time with them. David gets oodles of stars in this category too. Everyone loved him.

Our friends had used David for their wedding & after I saw their pictures, I knew he was the only photographer I wanted to use for my wedding. He was extremely easy to work with and I felt comfortable with him all day. It was raining really hard when I was getting ready & David showed me a picture he had just taken of my ring on a leaf with a raindrop. It was the most gorgeous picture & put me at ease right away. Out of all of the MILLIONS of decisions that I made for my wedding day, besides choosing the Groom of course, choosing David Mielcarek as my Wedding Photographer was the BEST decision I made hands down!!!

I myself am a Professional Photographer with a degree in Photography from FIT, so when choosing a wedding Photographer, I had the highest of standards and expectations! I am known as a perfectionist, high maintenance and overly demanding. Not only did David meet every single one of my very high expectations, but he greatly EXCEEDED them with flying colors!!! I am not easy to please, so that was quite an accomplishment!

From the moment we met I just had this good feeling about David! He's just a very likeable, kind-hearted person. On top of his personable demeanor, his picture's brought tears to my eyes!!! At that moment, I knew that my long search for the World's Best Wedding Photographer was finally over! He was it!!!

David has this easing charm about his personality that makes the most nervous and stressed bridezilla feel comfortable and relaxed around him on one of her most important days! He knew how to get the natural smiles and have fun while doing it! He made me feel so special, like I was the most beautiful bride he had ever seen! He was 100% professional, reliable and trustworthy at all times! He was also so patient with me, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish! David photographed our wedding and he did a wonderful job. He was very professional and responsive in all our phone calls and correspondences leading up to the big day and had great suggestions on how to best take our photos. On our wedding day we did our photo session in Central Park before the ceremony at the church and the photographs turned out beautifully. He had great ideas for capturing all different kinds of shots, with different posses, different locations, etc. At the actual wedding and reception he was everywhere and yet invisible. I got a lot of great feedback from guests that noticed how hard he worked and how he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to capture the most meaningful and beautiful shots. And he truly did. We are very happy with everything that he captured on our big day. After the reception we wanted to take some additional photographs in Rockefeller Center and even though the 10 hour day was up he was happy to oblige and we got some final, beautiful shots. The last picture of the night became our holiday card. I definitely recommend him.

David took the most beautiful pictures we could have ever imagined. His shots are fun and artsy and took our breath away. I have received so many amazing compliments on our wedding photos. He took so many photos that it was nearly impossible to narrow down the best images for our album. And he is really laid back and easy to work with! Love love love!

Hiring David was one of the easiest decisions we made during wedding planning. My husband and I performed an exhaustive search of photographers and simply fell in love with David's work. It is so eye-catching and colorful and he really has a knack for capturing moments in time. His photos are anything but cliched wedding photography.

In addition to being a talented artist, David is an outstanding person. He is fun, easy to get along with and has such an incredible energy. This makes shooting photos with him that much more enjoyable. He is great with direction too -- he transformed even my camera-shy husband and his brothers (our groomsmen) into male models! To this day - my husband's brothers keep talking about what fun it was running around the city taking photos with David.

My friends and family were all very complimentary of David and his professionalism during our wedding. He seemed to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time - capturing special moments throughout the evening. I didn't have to direct him or explain what shots I wanted - he just knew.

We were more than satisfied with the final product - our photos are simply breathtaking. Friends have sent us comments ranging from "Wow. I've never seen wedding photos like these!!" to "Simply stunning." The dilemma we have now is choosing which ones to display!!

David is simply THE BEST. I first saw his work at a friend's wedding, and never even looked at any other photographer because I was so impressed with his unique and dynamic style. He really captures the individual personality of each couple and each wedding and his photos showcase the absolute best of the day. And everyone looks fabulous! Plus he is so easy-going and fun to work with and really listens to the couple to bring their vision to life.
