Christina is Amazing
It is two months to the day that we had the most amazing wedding weekend in Charleston. My daughter, Allyson and future husband, Stu decided to use Christina Baxter as their wedding planner and what an awesome experience we had.
From the beginning, Christina and Mia were so receptive to ideas, listening to and understanding ally’s vision. She guided us to the most wonderful vendors, all while keeping Ally’s ideas at the forefront.
As the mother of the bride, Christina and Mia were so easy to work with. As parents, we had a few things that were very important to us for the weekend festivities, and these were all executed beautifully.
Christina and Mia kept us on track throughout the year and half of planning and paid such attention to detail. And it was perfect!
When I think back on the entire process, I just smile. I was so relaxed and truly got to enjoy every moment because Christina and Mia had it all under control. I wish I had another daughter so I could do it all over again!! -

Christina Baxter Weddings: An Amazing Experience!
My husband and I were married in Charleston a few weeks ago, and Christina and Mia were our planners. Being a destination wedding, we were nervous regarding planning from afar. However, these two held us up every step of the way and were so meticulous with every detail. Any problem that arose was quickly resolved, regardless of how big or small. More than that, our wedding was the most magical experience--from the flowers, to the tent, to the flow of the weekend. We have gotten so many compliments saying that our wedding was the most beautiful any of our guests have been to (we agree). I truly cannot thank them enough for making our dream a reality! If I could give them 10 stars, I would! -

Best Decision You'll Make!
I got married last month and am so thankful we were able to have Christina Baxter as our planner! Christina made planning a wedding simple, stress free, and fun! Christina was very responsive to my late night emails and I always felt like our wedding was their #1 priority and the only wedding they were planning. She only takes a limited number of weddings a year to be able to truly focus on the ones she is doing. You don’t realize how huge that is until you are one of your brides and need her on a Saturday. My mom and I have crazy schedules and Christina was always able to work around that to find times to meet. From our first phone call she stood out and was on top of everything throughout our engagement. Christina’s connections and years of experience in the wedding industry makes booking vendors easy. I cannot imagine our wedding day without Christina and her assistant Mia. Mia is a huge addition to Christina’s team and they compliment each other very well. They carried out our vision and kept us on schedule the entire year and a half of planning. Our entire wedding day was more than I could have imagined and it is in large part due to Christina and her team. No detail was left unnoticed! I truly was able to relax and enjoy my wedding day trusting that Christina and Mia had everything under control!-

The CBWE team is the best!
I interviewed a number of wedding planners, but after Christina and I met (and she proactively and quickly followed up with an estimate) my choice was simple. I was convinced that Christina’s personality would mesh well with both my daughter (bride) and me (MOB), and her budgeting prowess/financial sensitivity would click with my husband (FOB). Working with Mia, CBWE’s senior event coordinator, was an added delight … "icing on the (wedding) cake."
If asked to describe the CBWE team, I'd have to lead with incredibly talented, great communicators, highly efficient and organized, detail- and solutions-oriented, flexible, and continually focused on delivering excellence. Equally important, they’re a lot of fun! And, since my daughter is a PharmD, I'll throw in a drug reference: they’re wedding Xanax! Christina and Mia managed to keep the planning process, selections and ongoing execution as simple and stress-free as possible (for us at least) -- even when rain wedding day threatened to derail the bride and vibe. CBWE pivoted seamlessly when a tent was required and managed to "bougie it up" so that it looked intentional. They and their dedicated network of vendors are miracle workers.
The CBWE team was amazing day of the wedding -- everything from checking on and hydrating the wedding party, making sure people were where they were supposed to be, keeping the bride dry, double-checking vendors and details, down to moving stray items into and straightening up the newlyweds’ suite before they retired.
My daughter and I didn't really have a vision for the day, but the CBWE team managed to subtly (and when needed directly) guide us to an outstanding one. Everyone has told us (and continues to tell us) it was the most beautiful, over-the-top and fun wedding ever. My daughter and our new son had the wedding of their dreams, and I can't thank Christina and Mia enough! -

Christina & Mia created the most perfect wedding weekend of my dreams. It was everything and more!!! From the flowers to the linens to the chairs to the overall feel of the day and night, every single thing was absolutely above and beyond what I had imagined and even hoped for. Incredible
Christina and Mia are the dream team. They went above and beyond to ensure that me and my husband had the best weekend of our lives (they planned our rehearsal dinner/ welcome party and wedding day).
My mom and I worked closely with Christina and Mia during a 1.5 year planning process, and honestly every step was enjoyable and not stressful, thanks to them. From the first meeting, I could tell they were very detail oriented and excellent at their job. Once they saw my vision and style, they helped to recommend and secure the best vendors (ones that matched my taste) and I cannot believe how well everything came together. Still on cloud 9 two months later…
Not only are Christina and Mia wonderful people, but they are creative, professional, and extremely responsive. I would recommend Christina Baxter Weddings a hundred times over!-

The very best decision we made...
You have to make a LOT of decisions when planning your wedding. I promise the very BEST decision you will make is hiring Christina Baxter Weddings and Events as your planner.
Everyone says your wedding will be the best day of your life. I was skeptical (didn't want it to be all downhill from here!), but hire Christina Baxter and Mia Riddell, and that will be your reality. They made May 6, 2023 the very best day of my life. If you are looking for a wedding planner in Charleston (or anywhere for that matter), look no further than these two.
From my very first conversation with Christina, I felt comfortable. She makes every effort to get to know who you are as a couple first, and then the ideas flow from there.
We had our wedding at South Carolina Society Hall and the reception in my parents' backyard, which came with a number of logistical challenges (including finding a bathroom trailer with EXACTLY the right dimensions so that it would not take out a number of my mom's crepe myrtle trees). Christina and Mia were able to navigate every challenge SO easily - and they helped us to feel calm throughout the entire planning process.
They are great about working with YOUR vision and your budget ("if you really want the flooring, it'll cost ya, but we don't need this thing or that thing and can instead do something like THIS!").
One of the first things Christina and Mia will do for you once you hire them is assemble an all-star team of vendors - the florist who totally gets your vision, an incredible catering team (our guests are still talking about the meal), a hair and makeup duo that will create your ideal wedding look... Every vendor they recommended and locked down for us hit it out of the park. And it was so clear to us how much each of the vendors respected Christina for the work she does and the reputation she's built throughout the Southeast.
On the day of the wedding, Christina and Mia seamlessly orchestrated every last detail - from remembering to get a quite nervous groom a Manhattan immediately after he finished the first dance to figuring out how to get a very hungry bride McDonald's late night...
Christina and Mia took what were simply a few of our wants and ideas and turned them into this magical creation and weekend that we will remember for the rest of our lives. They are the very best planners we could've ever imagined working with, and not just because they are both incredibly skilled at what they do, but because they also became our good friends along the way. We already miss just talking with them every day.
Christina and Mia, thank you both for EVERYTHING. We will forever be indebted to you for everything you did to make our wedding so wonderful.
To anyone who is going back and forth between planners (or even wondering if you should hire one), hire these two. From one bride to another, it will be THE. BEST. decision you make... other than choosing your groom, of course :) -

Hands down the best!
My husband and I had the most unique, stunning, and deeply personal wedding that was even more magical than we ever could have imagined! It all came together seamlessly because of Christina Baxter and her equally amazing assistant, Mia.
I truly don’t know what we would have done without Christina throughout the entire planning process. While my family is local to Charleston, my now-husband and I live in Chicago, so first and foremost we needed a planner who could help us navigate the overwhelming vendor options from a distance. It was also extremely important to us that our planner would be able to tap into Charleston’s amazing creative community and culture. We knew we made the right choice with Christina when she almost immediately sent us a carefully curated list of vendors and helped us to secure our selections well in advance (something I would have never gotten around to if left to my own devices). She even reached out to one of Charleston’s most revered artists and obtained permission to use his work as visual inspiration for our decor!
Anyone who is reading this on the WeddingWire has likely come across the roster of Charleston’s Instagram-famous planners, all of whom produce objectively beautiful events. However, most of them will tell you point-blank that their weddings have a specific aesthetic that you are committing to and paying for handsomely. What really differentiates Christina from the rest is that YOU are the brand. She goes above and beyond to give you a wedding that is unmistakably your own. She cares more about beautifully bringing your vision to life than what tones will go best with her website’s color scheme. Her ability to work with any style, mentality, or personality demonstrates the true expanse of her talent.
Very few people in this world are blessed with both creative and organizational talent; Christina is certainly one of those rare exceptions. She and Mia were absolutely essential in making sure the best day of our lives just that, and we will be eternally grateful for their preparation, patience, inspiration, guidance, and support over the past year.
TL;DR: If you want your wedding to truly reflect who you are as a couple, you absolutely need Christina!-

Best decision we made!!
Hiring Christina for our wedding was the most important and best decision we made! When we started working with her in June of 2020 we had no idea exactly how critical having an incredible planner like Christina could be. Right from the beginning she dove in coordinating the design and figuring out how to bring every idea we had (big and small) to life. Her recommendations for vendors and the artists she works with to bring your vision to life are true pros. From Hair and Makeup, to Catering, to Lighting and the Bridal Assistant (we didn’t know needed, but absolutely did) Christina brought together and incredible team! Like many couples planning a wedding in 2020 we had to postpone our original date. She helped us weigh the options and she seamlessly shifted our entire event to our new date. Her eye for design is impeccable and she truly listens to what you want as a couple. It is this attention to detail that makes every wedding she does unique and personal. As we drew closer to the wedding day, Christina introduced us to her assistant, Mia! Let me just say what an unbelievable team Christina and Mia are! They went above and beyond to make sure every request we had was met. From last minute floral changes to day of seating arrangement adjustments to sourcing hand painted oyster shells a few months out from the big day… they had everything under control and we felt so taken care of with them. Every question was answered and every moment of the timeline was poured over. Our wedding day was truly seamless and our guests could not stop talking about how perfect every moment was! I could go on forever about how amazing Christina and her team are but I will end with one of my favorite stories of Christina’s incredible skills… Christina knew that I was very invested in all of the details so when the wind wouldn’t cooperate with lighting the candles in our tented reception Christina made me aware of the situation. The tent itself was so beautiful I didn’t even miss having the candles lit, but then, during dinner, I looked around and every candle was lit! Out of nowhere…it was like magic! Just like Christina and her team… pure magic! -

Charleston Wedding - The Dewberry
After re-scheduling FOUR times due to Covid, Christina made our wedding dreams come true! Everything went smoothly and was executed perfectly. She worked tirelessly rescheduling vendors and updating our rentals and design elements based on the changing seasons and availability. She was a lifesaver! She is incredibly experienced and had so many excellent vendor relationships and recommendations. When she felt a vendor was not a good fit or didn’t understand our vision, she was willing to have those difficult decisions with them in order to reduce any stress or awkward situations for us. Her vision, insight, and advice throughout the entire process was priceless! It truly was the perfect day for us and Christina Baxter made it happen!-

I have only the highest regard for Christina and her team. She is extremely organized which was so helpful as we navigated 3 date reschedulings due to Covid. She also has an incredible wealth of knowledge when it comes to vendors, and we felt confident that we were in good hands with not only Christina, but those she recommended. Best Wedding Planner
I truly cannot put into words what an amazing experience it was to have Christina as my wedding planner. She helped me turn my vision into a reality. No ask was too big and no idea was ever not thoroughly discussed. Her willingness to always hop on a call, answer an email or text even at the craziest of hours showed how much she cares about her brides. Having a wedding during the peak of the pandemic she planned and replanned my wedding multiple times over the course of 2 years. During this process she always made me feel at ease, it was never a question if she had my best interest in mind. Her ability to understand a brides vision and execute it with grace and such kindness is unmatched. Essential.
Christina was the best decision we made in planning our Charleston wedding from Dallas. She transformed my ideas and visions into the most perfect day and we would not have survived the process without her. She was incredibly flexible in meeting with me in the limited times I was able to get to Charleston in-person and was always available for 3-way phone conversations with me and my mom. She brought such a sense of calmness and professionalism to wedding planning, despite the persistent COVID uncertainties. We also ended up having rain almost the entire day of our wedding, but Christina had prepared us for this (both emotionally and logistically) and the day remained absolutely seamless! We are endlessly grateful to Christina and her incredible team. -

Selecting Christina Baxter Events as our wedding planner was THE best investment we made for our wedding! She was the ultimate professional from helping us select our venue to making sure everything ran seamlessly on our wedding day. Her attention to detail is second to none and she helped us design an event that felt so unique to us as a couple. When we decided to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic, she was the calming factor that helped us navigate all of the uncertainty and had everything turned around and so quickly organized for our new date. Her knowledge of the industry and vendors is so extensive -- it saved me an immense amount of time having to research as I fully trusted her recommendations. Christina was always so responsive and provided really helpful and creative suggestions. In addition to her fabulous and sophisticated design sense, the logistics and flow of the night were so fluid. Kathryn's wedding
Christina Baxter Wedding and Events was just phenomenal to work with. My daughter's wedding was perfect even with the rain. Their friends are saying it is the best wedding they ever went to. Christina is very knowledgeable and knows the business. From start to finish she was on top of everything. My daughter is a busy doctor in Dallas, Texas so planning a wedding long distance was tough and Christina made it a very smooth process. I work full time and I had a lot of confidence that Christina was making great choices for us with our input. I loved that she has just one assistant and I knew she was the planner directly involved in all of the details. The Best Wedding Planner!
There are not enough words for me to describe how thankful I am that Christina was my wedding planner! From the beginning of our planning process Christina went above and beyond to make my dream wedding come true. She listened to all of my ideas and inspirations and gave great suggestions to execute the perfect wedding! Her communication was phenomenal, when we had any questions she was always an email or phone call away. She was on top of everything, and it made the last weeks leading up to my wedding more fun than stressful! On the day of our wedding she did a remarkable job of making the venue look absolutely beautiful. She captured the exact theme and feel that we were going for! She was absolute joy to work with and she went above and beyond my expectations. Choosing Christina to be my wedding planner was the best decision my husband and I ever made. Christina Baxter is simply amazing! There are no words to adequately express how wonderful she and her team are. We loved her from the start and in particular, we loved that she has this incredible way of listening to what you as a couple want/need/desire and boy does she deliver! She has great taste and a seemingly endless drive to create your absolute perfect wedding. Obviously pandemic weddings can create challenges and she made every transition flawless as we had to change locations and design. Simply, the BEST!
If you read no further, you should know, Christina Baxter is a phenomenal wedding planner. She was planner, friend, therapist, accountant, and confidant. Our very first call with Christina she walked us through what we could expect our budget to be. Although over the 22 months of our engagement the budget fluctuated; even with changes we made due to COVID-19 we still ended within range of her original outlined budget for us. She helped negotiate fair pricing with several of our vendors while also making sure we were able to have all the things that we wanted.
As an example, she worked with me to revise our wedding menu half a dozen times and she worked with my wife to revise our floral proposal about the same.
My wife and I live in CA and Christina was accessible to us via email, phone, text, facetime. We soon found that there were very few times she was unreachable to us. Christina even made time for us on her birthday!
Christina worked with us to find our band (which was the highlight of the night), photographer, florist, all our rentals. She walked us through our food selection and tastings. She helped us with our invitations and all sort so miscellaneous items we had to ship to Charleston, SC from CA. Christina specially has a keen eye for design. There is no doubt in my mind all the weddings she produces turn out beautifully.
My wife and I both had surprises for each other the night of our wedding (drum line and flash mob), Christina helped orchestrate each of the surprises without any hiccups!
Our wedding went off without a hitch! Each vendor executed perfectly, and Christina orchestrated all the moving pieces flawlessly. I would recommend Christina Baxter to anyone who is looking to have a consummate professional help them pull off the wedding of their dreams. 10/10!!

Christina Baxter and her team were SO lovely to work with! I was instantly drawn to the elegance of pat weddings planned by the CB team and felt very confident choosing them to plan our wedding after talking with Christina over the phone for over an hour. Her professionalism, timeliness, humor, style and extensive knowledge of the wedding world (especially in Charleston) clearly set her a part. Throughout the planning process, many people would give us some "words of wisdom". What we heard most was, "Something will go wrong on your wedding day. Expect it and don't worry about it." I'm ecstatic to say that the morning after our wedding, my husband and I replayed the entire wedding day from start to finish and came to the realization that not a single thing "went wrong" (at least not that we or our guests noticed)!! After a long phone meeting with Christina Baxter and my daughter and I, the wedding bar was set and we simply could not go with another wedding planner. Christina and Dana made our wedding day not only memorable but most definitely the best day of our lives! Their keen eye for detail and exquisite taste made all of our events something that all of our guests continue to talk about. We always felt like Dana was reading our minds and her ability to make our vision a reality still amazes us. They were always available to talk and ease our concerns even if it was late at night. Christina and Dana were extremely easy to talk to and by our wedding day we felt as though we were just talking to our friends. Best of the best!!
Simply put, Christina and Dana are miracle workers. We planned a destination wedding in Charleston, SC from Chicago. Putting every detail of a day you've envisioned for so long into a stranger's hands could potentially be really stressful, but I can genuinely say we were stress free throughout the process. When I met Christina she immediately put me at ease, as I could see she "just got it" - she understood my aesthetic immediately, and with her undeniable elegance and style I knew we'd be in good hands. Then enter Dana, her no-nonsense associate who we knew would make things happen (and fast!). Both Christina and Dana were extremely respectful of our wishes, but also offered raw and genuine opinions when they were called for instead of a "whatever you want!" attitude - which I found so helpful, and thought made decision making even easier. In the end, we had the absolute most PERFECT wedding day - elegant details, incredible food and drink, and a killer dance party. Best Planner in Charleston!!
Christina Baxter Wedding + Events, the best wedding planner in Charleston. Over the course of a year, Christina and Dana became like family to us. From the very first interview, we fell in love with Christina’s infectious personality and limitless enthusiasm for making our vision Gullah+Jamaica+Cinderella wedding a reality. We’d interviewed other planners, but Christina’s warm spirit and instanteous ideas sealed the deal. Indeed, it felt like we were excitedly planning with an old friend and not our planner.
Christina soon introduced us to her Senior Event Coordinator, Dana, who worked with us every step of the way to make sure the details of our wedding were set and mapped out. They were a full service team, helping us with every detail from the invitations to the centerpieces. And when our 325-person wedding ballooned into a 400-person affair 3 weeks before the big day, these two did not miss a beat. They re-designed the entire reception layout and coordinated with every vendor. This was a particularly massive undertaking because we got married at Middleton Place, with an original plan to use some of the site’s tables and other settings. When the numbers increased, we had to move everything outside and everything, and I mean everything, had to be adjusted to accommodate the new plan.
Despite the abrupt change, the wedding was magical. Every bride I know talks about the meltdown she had on her day or the mishaps that occurred. I had none. Christina and Dana masterfully corralled our nearly 50-person wedding party through wedding prep, pre-wedding pictures, and the wedding precessional. This included hiring a personal assistant to travel with me for most of the day until the reception. Not only was that person amazing and friendly, but as a former pageant consultant, she was able to keep all my girls on schedule, help me get ready, and served as the liaison between myself and Christina and Dana. It worked out perfectly.
Their wedding staff was great, with individuals stationed at various points on the grounds to direct my party and the guests. In the end, everything was on time and consistent with our detailed schedule. 400 people moved seamlessly from one part of the grounds to the next. Musicians (including a trio, steel drum band, and singers) were on time and prepared with their necessary cues. Post-wedding pictures were handled quickly, leaving us time to hangout with our guests at cocktail hour.
Our reception was exactly what we asked for - a massive party. And it was made possible by Dana’s recommended DJ (there’s a reason why DJ Natty Heavy is consistently voted the best DJ in the area - he was fantastic). They kept the party going and made sure we were in position to leave on schedule in our fabulous getaway car.
In short, from the amazing design to masterful execution, they did a phenomenal job. My family, wedding party, and guests couldn’t stop talking about our planners and how they helped us bring “Hollywood” to Charleston. In one instance, a dear friend of mine who is an event planner and once coordinated events for President Barack Obama, took me aside and told me that my planners were top-notch and doing an impeccable job.
You cannot go wrong with these two. This team created a wedding day better than we imagined, they listened to us, and invested 200% in executing this event. Our only regret was not having a bigger budget so they could have handled the entire wedding weekend.

Christina and Dana were absolutely incredible. Thanks to their work, our wedding day was stress free and perfect. They thought of every detail and planned the day meticulously. Working with them to plan a wedding in Charleston while living in New York could not have been easier. They were always proactive in reaching out and sending follow ups to make sure we stayed on track. I was also amazed how they seemed to rearrange their schedules to make time for me every time I flew down, even when only given a day or twos notice. We were most impressed by how well they picked up on our personalities and how sincere they both were in truly caring for us throughout the process. It was clear from day one that they wanted us to have the best experience possible- for us. They guided us towards (what always ended up being) the right decisions, but also did not push back against any of our choices. I don't know if I can fully express how amazing CiBi Events was during our entire wedding process and on the day. Christina and Dana are phenomenal. And both have become life long friends to us. From the first meeting, where I was greeted with a warm hug and shown so many amazing venue options to all the little details. CB honored our budget, our vision, and helped us make our dream wedding come true.
The wedding day itself was truly flawless. I was so confident in CiBi events that I was relaxed and just really enjoyed the day. And every little detail came true. Perfect results. Nothing but praise for Christina and CiBi Events. Our wedding weekend and wedding turned out perfect, no detail overlooked. The year of planning leading up to the wedding was professional, patient, insightful, and captured our vision perfectly.
Our schedules were very limited with work obligations. No problem for CiBi Events! As they were able to lead us through the decision making process on our timeline, making every deadline in the process. Their entire process is precise and eliminates any oversights on our part. Planning out our concepts, vendors, and implantation of these ideas were presented to us with concise options that made the decision process easy for us to finalize.
Cristina's energy was my favorite. Her calming presence, professional demeanor, and meticulous planning set the tone for our wedding. Problems were resolved before they ever became an issue. From our first meeting, I admired the elegance and sophistication of Christina Baxter of CiBi Events. Christina works with every client to understand their personal style and incorporates that within the design. Prior to officially signing a contract, Christina even provided a budget for us at no cost. The other planners we met with would not provide this until after contract signing. Each wedding she coordinates and designs is unique and special. She asks the right questions to vendors so that you have a better understanding of their work and processes.
We worked side by side with Christina and Dana (one of the hardest working people I know :) for over a year planning our big day. They always diligently responded to our every question or request. They listened to all our big ideas and offered suggestions to incorporate them appropriately within the overall design of our wedding.
We were blown away on the day of our wedding to see all our hard work and vision pulled together so beautifully. Both Christina & Dana ensured that our families were well taken care of the day of the event - had food & drink, knew where to be when, etc. One of my bridesmaids requested Scotch Guard the day of the wedding, and Christina bought some just for her :) You can trust Christina & Dana of CiBi Events to design, coordinate, and plan the wedding you’ve always imagined. If you want your dream wedding then look no further than Cibi Events. I literally cried on the day of our wedding when I walked out and saw our dream had come to life in front of me. Christina and Dana are absolutely amazing! They are up front about pricing in regards to what you envision for your wedding and always quick to respond or set up meetings to get together… the number of times I called last minute to see if we could get together was numerous and they always made it happen. "Extraordinaire," best describes our experience with CiBi Events! Christina Baxter and Dana Vaughn are amazingly creative, incredibly skilled, and genuinely kind people. Since planning a long distance event can be stressful, they both worked tirelessly to put our anxieties at ease as we worked to plan an incredible wedding for our daughter and son in law. Wow, Christina Baxter and Dana Vaughn…aka Cibi Events.
It isn’t often you have a bride and groom who are equal partners in wedding planning. Additionally, we had three sets of parents all with varying opinions and roles they wanted to play. Christina and Dana grabbed this challenge by the horns and worked tirelessly with us for over 1.5 years to put together our dream wedding.
We aren’t the stereotypical southern couple and we weren’t looking to copy a wedding from Pinterest. Christina and Dana utilized their vast knowledge of the industry to provide us with unique ideas and options to make our special day stand out, while also taking into consideration that our wedding was at a historic art museum. They were honest with us when our ideas were terrible, and were motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty when bringing one of our ‘aha moments’ to life.
The team at Cibi Events posses the skillset that are essential for a spectacular wedding. Their attention to detail, whether it was the smallest cocktail table flower arrangement or a line in the Excel budget, combined with their ability to bring our cloudy vision to life resulted in a magical evening that left all of our guests in awe.
Their professionalism and experience wasn't only what makes them great. They are just an all-around amazing team of genuinely caring individuals. They knew how to comfort us when we were stressed and on the verge of tears (a.k.a crying). They knew how to brighten our day when the "ideal dream" was out of budget . They made us comfortable throughout the entire process, and never used their experience as a reason for our ideas or thoughts to not be talked through as a team.

My wife and I recently had our daughter's destination wedding (we all live in NY) in Charleston. It was held at the Legare Waring House, and it was truly a magnificent event. That venue is a fairy tale setting. Naturally a destination wedding can be an arduous task, because we live so far away. Our daughter did her wedding planner research and found "Cibi Events". What a smart move that was. We worked very closely with Christina and Dana. Despite the long distance, we felt as if they were right next door. They are tireless and reliable and helped to make sure that we had all of our ducks in a row. Not to mention that they are both really nice people. And it was very comforting to have them by our side on the entire day of the wedding. With great confidence and pleasure, we would gladly recommend them to anyone looking to plan a wedding in Charleston.

There are so many positive things to say about Cibi Events that we don’t know where to begin. We were planning a destination wedding in Charleston and chose Cibi to be our wedding planner because she had a very upfront approach when it came to budgeting. She provided a detailed spreadsheet outlining realistic costs for our big day which immediately put us at ease and set us on the right track for planning. Beyond the numbers, Cibi gives off a relaxed, confident vibe which we responded well to.
Throughout the past year, Cibi and her right-hand woman, Dana, have been responsive and available at the drop of a hat. The planning process was never stressful because we knew we had experienced professionals helping us with every detail. When we had an idea they promptly researched vendors and provided solutions and quotes in order for us to make an informed decision. In addition to their organizational skills, Cibi had excellent creative ideas that really took our event to the next level. They were also amazing at implementing and pulling together ideas from Pinterest which is no easy task!
The actual day ran so smoothly and allowed us to be present in the moment and enjoy each other and our guests who had travelled a long way to attend our wedding. All the details we had been dreaming of came together perfectly and were so cohesive. We would highly recommend Cibi Events to anyone looking for an experienced, professional wedding planner!

We could never repay Cibi and Dana at Cibi Events for all that they did to make my daughter's and new son-in-law's wedding everything they dreamed of and more. It was the most wonderful wedding any of us have ever been to (an opinion shared by our guests despite the fact that many of them had weddings that were 5 times the budget of ours). It was evident to us Cibi provided additions and improvements that we did not pay for (surely coming out of her own pocket) to make the event even lovelier. Cibi and Dana are truly the ultimate professionals, with a remarkable eye to detail, exceptional ability to grasp the vision of their clients, impeccable taste, continual focus on service and truly unmatched ability to create an event that far exceeds one’s expectation or imagination. Working with the ladies at Cibi Events was phenomenal. From start to finish they were accommodating, efficient, compassionate and oh SO creative. They helped my husband plan things while he was out of the country, and held my hand through many emotional decisions and meltdowns! Their availability was more than any bride could ask for and they really make you feel like you're the only one they're working with. My vision came to life in so many ways because of their expertise. We are over two months past our wedding and the compliments continue to roll in. I couldn't have been more pleased with their work. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. The only sad part of my wedding day was realizing that I wouldn't be working with them anymore. We cannot say enough nice things about working with Christina and her wonderful assistant Dana! They were involved in all aspects of our wedding, making sure we reached out to each vendor at the right time, handling paperwork, and anticipating potential challenges before they became a problem.
Wedding planning is stressful. It feels like there are a million things to do AT ALL TIMES. You want someone who is calm, has a ton of experience, and knows just about every vendor in town. Like many couples, we had a vision for our wedding, but we relied heavily on Christina and Dana to navigate the seemingly endless details that needed to be addressed to realize that vision. Both Christina and Dana displayed endless patience helping us realize that vision, always accommodating our last minute waffling and change of heart. When we were freaking out about a particular aspect of the wedding – or more accurately a million important decisions – they would schedule a call immediately and give us two hours of their undivided attention if we needed it!
While they are undoubtedly great at their job, Christina and Dana are also exceptionally nice people. Which is important to consider because you will spend A LOT of time with your wedding planners. When it was all said and done, Christina and Dana helped us pull off an amazing wedding and really stayed true to our wishes and vision for the wedding, which was especially important to us. And while we certainly don’t miss the stress associated with wedding planning, we do miss spending time with both of them!!! Dream team! -

We met Christina Baxter and Dana Vaughn of CiBi events after seeing her name listed as a preferred vendor on a couple of venues we were checking out. We sent introductory emails to a couple of planners, but Christina Baxter left them all in the dust from the first contact. We got engaged on a Friday and sent out preliminary introduction emails that Sunday. Christina emailed back right away and scheduled an immediate first call. We were thinking of a rustic and romantic southern affair outside with café string lighting and a backyard bbq theme for the food – she immediately got what we were going for and understood that we were paying for this event entirely on our own so staying in budget was a big selling point for us. She and Dana set to work straight away on a budget and a plan. By the time we got replies from the other planners we emailed (days later), we had already had 2 conversations and multiple emails with CiBi Events.
We were planning our wedding from Chicago, which meant that we could not go and meet dozens of photographers, DJs, bakers, etc. Christina and Dana knew our vision and our budget and would suggest vendors that they trusted that were available on our day and that were within our budget. They were always up front about the cost – if there was a vendor that was a couple hundred dollars more than what we were expecting, we knew about it right up front, which I appreciated – I hate falling in love with something and THEN finding out it’s over budget. This is what made our wedding planning extremely enjoyable and almost stress free!
On the big day, everything ran seamlessly. They thought of everything, anticipated everything, and helped coordinate everything down to the last perfect detail.
We had our dream wedding, and we never would have been able to pull it off with CiBi Events. I can never say “thank you” enough to Christina and Dana ~ the wedding dream team!! -

Attempting to plan a wedding, in and of itself, can be a difficult (and stressful) task. Attempting to plan a wedding on your own when you are, literally, nine-hundred miles away from the location you are having it only adds to the difficulty (and stress) of putting the day together. My (now) wife and I quickly learned this as we first attempted to plan our wedding in Charleston on our own from Connecticut. Looking back on the process, I have no doubt in my mind that, thanks to Christina and Dana, our wedding could not have been any better; even if we had it closer to where we live. Once we realized that we needed help to plan our wedding, we did some research about a couple of different wedding planners in the Charleston area. We planned on meeting with a couple of them to see exactly which one would fit with our personalities. Christina was the first wedding planner we met with; and we knew from the moment we left the meeting that we didn't need to meet with anyone else. From the earliest stages of planning, all the way up to the big day, Christina and Dana had complete control over the situation and made the process as smooth as possible. From tasks as large a picking a caterer, florist, photographer and band, to the smaller last minute on the fly issues, we never had a doubt that they were on top of things. The best example of their dedication to providing their clients with support, and delivering on that goal, came about a week before the wedding. Our wedding took place the Saturday after hurricane Matthew. Despite the chaos that the weather brought to the area, Christina and Dana were able to be reached the entire week, and checking to make sure that our wedding day would go exactly as planned. I could never thank them enough for the work they did to make our wedding such an amazing day, and would recommend them to anyone in an instant. -

My husband and I live in Atlanta, but we decided to have our wedding in Charleston—that’s where we fell in love. We both have a busy work schedule and I’m not a great planner, so we knew the importance of having a wedding planner in order to make our dream of a beautiful southern wedding become a reality. We interviewed many wedding planners and after speaking with Christina at Cibi Events, we immediately knew that we wanted to work with her—she was easy going, poised, elegant, and most importantly understood our style and knew immediately how to make our vision become a reality.
After working with Cibi Events, I strongly recommend Christina and her team. Throughout the planning process, Cibi Events was attentive, organized and resourceful. Christina Baxter and her team at Cibi Events were absolutely incredible to work with as we were planning our destination wedding in Charleston! We started with a vision of a relaxed, understated, natural design for the wedding and Cibi delivered! The end product was more than we could ever have imagined; it was as if Christina saw exactly the image of our wedding we had in our heads and created it in real life. From creating the table design and floor plan, to helping us develop a Lowcountry- inspired menu for our stations dinner, to finding us the best band in the South, Trotline Band, to running the show on the day of the wedding, Christina made the entire process a delight for us. At no point during our entire engagement were we stressed, all thanks to Christina's superb planning and her easy-going nature! Not only did Christina plan our wedding, but she also planned the rest of our weekend, including the Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Drinks and Farewell Brunch. At one point during our Farewell Brunch there was only one server, who seemed to be struggling to deliver the breakfast foods to the buffet and clear plates at the same time. Christina and her amazing assistant Dana rolled up their sleeves and helped the lone server with his job— all that and they also ran across the street to buy some donuts for guests who were still lingering after Brunch. The gals at Cibi Events made our entire wedding weekend run smoothly, keeping the bride and groom happy the whole time! Christina is sophisticated, tasteful and elegant— everything you'd hope for your wedding planner to be. -

When my husband and I began planning our wedding, we had a chance meeting with Cibi Events while we were touring a potential venue; and Christina and her team were setting up for a wedding that afternoon. Though I was apprehensive at first to make the choice to spend the money to hire a wedding planner, it was easily the best choice that we made. Not only was Christina able to help us to keep organized and make great choices in terms of vendors, but she was also able to help find the best prices from some of our more expensive vendors, such as the florist and musicians. My husband lived in North Carolina and I lived in NYC for part of our planning....and Christina made it possible for us to plan the perfect wedding with some of the best vendors in the Charleston area, without spending a fortune on travel back and forth to North Carolina/NYC to meet with vendors in person. The setup, the timeline for our special day, and cleanup were all amazing. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect. Christina handled all the "day of" details as well and kept everything flowing and looking beautiful, which allowed us to truly take the time to enjoy the best day of our lives. -

You would simply be foolish to try and plan a wedding in Charleston, SC without using Cibi (aka Christina and Dana). Not only is Cibi's taste impeccable, classy, and elegant, their knowledge of the local vendors service, pricing, and craftsmanship is second to none. Cibi's services are extremely reasonably priced for the amount of passion, dedication, planning, and follow-through you will receive. I cannot recommend Cibi highly enough. Christina has killer business instincts, the right connections locally, experience with brides (and grooms!) emotions, and an approach to make you feel like everything is under control - which it is when Cibi plans your wedding. My mother and I met with Christina 8 months before the wedding day. This was after talking to two other wedding planners and feeling a little frustrated and overwhelmed with the whole wedding process. My family lives in the Maryland/ D.C. area, but I had recently moved to South Carolina and dreamed of a Charleston wedding. This was a challenge with the short time line and both my husband and I balancing our busy schedules in the medical profession. When we met Christina we instantly knew that she was the one. It sounds like a cliché, but her imagination, style, and down to earth nature had me sold. Through the whole process she made me feel more than just another bride and it was more than just another wedding. To me it felt like a close family friend helped me through the process. She connected with my imagination and painted it into a truly magical wedding. She knew exactly what vendors to use for my style and made sure everything went off without a hitch! I wanted a beautiful paper flower wall as a backdrop for our photobooth and thought that it was just a dream with my budget. To my surprise Christina offered to make one for me. Moments like that showed me I made the right decision. Christina will go out of her way to make dreams come true. Our guests have been raving about our wedding months after and I’ve had many people contact me about items used in the wedding. My parents love her and joke they wished they had a second child so Christina could plan another wedding. We love you Christina and would recommend Cibi Events 1,000 times over! -

Christina is a full-service wedding planner so we hired her just a couple weeks after we got engaged. We're glad we did because she found our perfect wedding venue. We wanted a spot in the DC area that fit 300 people but also felt personal, beautiful and rustic. In her research she landed on Shadow Creek, a new barn that was just being built and designed to host weddings. We never would have found it on our own.
Over the year leading up to our wedding, we had regular calls with Christina and her assistant planner. They helped keep us on track and manage all details. For example, she found two caterers for us to try and flew into town to visit those caterers with us to help us make a decision. We were blown away by one, Savoir Faire, which we ultimately selected.
As the wedding got closer, we had weekly calls with Christina to go through the flow of the day to make sure all the details were nailed down. By the time the wedding day arrived, Christina knew exactly what we wanted and we trusted her completely to execute it. That's where she really earned every dollar. On the Friday before our wedding, we passed off all responsibility to Christina and we didn't worry about a single thing after. She took the reigns and executed our vision beautifully. She coordinated with the florist, caterer and venue host and everything looked stunning. Christina is particularly talented with details -- such as placement of flowers on chairs, the arrangement of the escort cards and welcome signs. She also kept my (now) husband and I on track throughout the night so the activities flowed well and we got to do everything we wanted.
My married friends told us in advance of our wedding that lots of things were bound to go wrong so we would just need to be flexible and go with the flow. But absolutely nothing went wrong at our wedding. We just enjoyed the night and everything worked out exactly as we wanted it to because of Christina. We highly recommend her!! -

Cibi Events was amazing to work with for our Sept 2015 wedding. We interviewed and met with a total of four wedding planners before deciding to go with Cibi Events. Once I met Christina, I was 100% sold on Cibi Events - their process, vision, and experience. They helped make our wedding the beautiful fairytale it was (harmonious chirping birds "taboot'). It was simply a wonderful experience working with Cibi Events throughout the 11 month planning period. Christina captured our vision, and made it into a dream come true. I'll be honest...I am not a planner, so when we got engaged I knew that I would need help. I contacted several wedding planners, but as soon as I spoke with Christina of CiBi Events, I knew she was the one and it was the best decision I made! Throughout the entire planning process, Christina was always quick to respond to all of my questions, ideas, suggestions, etc, which took so much stress off. I have heard from so many brides how stressful planning a wedding can be and I can say without a doubt that I never once felt overwhelmed. I was able to give Christina and her assistant, Dana an idea of what we wanted and they took care of the rest, giving us our perfect dream wedding! Christina @ CiBi Events is amazing! She and Dana made the process of planning a long distance wedding effortless. My husband and I had a vision but didn't have an idea where to get started. Chrsitina took our little inspirations (mostly screen shots) and ran with it. The result was more than we could have imagined, she proposed ideas we would never think of and then executed everything a 1000%. We enjoyed our time with friends and family and were able to relax knowing we had Christina and Dana looking out for our best interest. We hired Christina Baxter with Cibi Events to plan our wedding. Christina is a fantastic wedding planner. She took the time to get to know us and very patiently worked around our budget. We believe this was Christina's first traditional Indian wedding. We were so impressed with how she embraced every event and spent time learning about our ceremony and culture. Christina was very professional with our vendors and made sure to try and avoid getting us involved in small details or issues that came up. In fact, when we realized that something essential was missing for our ceremony the night before the wedding, it was Christina who went and bought that missing item.
Because of Christina, we felt we would really be present at our own wedding without having to worry about what was happening behind the scenes. We fully trusted in her abilities and knew that despite any hiccups, we would have a beautiful event that we could look back on fondly. After spending a year planning a wedding with Christina, we felt like she was not just another vendor, but a friend and guest on our special day. We highly recommend Cibi Events! -

I highly recommend CiBi events. The wife and I planned a Charleston, SC plantation wedding from Chicago. The complexity of our event was as follows: we had never visited Charleston prior to our decision to marry there; the event would be a 3 day affair with 4 events Fri-Sun; we wanted each venue to be distinct and all events were quite different; our guest list topped 220 guests. Planning an event of this magnitude from long distance was quite daunting but Christina, Dana and the entire CiBi team were excellent in every step of the process.
No small details went past CiBi. I am a bit of a grammar perfectionist, on one of our many conference calls with them, Christina pointed out a small grammar mistake on our wedding website (luckily before the website was public). After pointing out such a small detail, I knew my wife and I were in good hands and had made the right decision about choosing our planner.
The morning after our wedding my wife and I were flying off to our honeymoon and I asked her was there anything that you would complain about or found less than satisfactory. Both of us thought for about 5-10 minutes and had zero complaints. That is saying a lot because my wife and I are finicky and can normally come up with at least some small critique. We felt truly blessed to have had such wonderful weekend of events with zero complaints.
CiBi is full service. Prior to our wedding, the CiBi team scouted out venues in advance, drove my wife and I to over 20 different sites for us to view, designed decoration/layouts, coordinated with all of our vendors and most important, kept very detailed spreadsheets of all costs - we had no surprise expenses. The weekend of our event, I felt we had 100% of the entire CiBi team's time and effort. The one sad part, after spending so much time with their team for the 7 months leading up to the wedding, we will miss them because I felt they had become a part of our family. -

There are not enough words to describe how truly grateful I am to have worked with Cibi Events for my wedding in Charleston this past October! Christina and her assistant Dana were always available and prompt at returning emails and calls, and answered all concerns and questions I had. We are from CT, & worried about not being in Charleston as often as we'd like to make the decisions we needed to make. Christina and Dana eased our minds and attended meeting with vendors when we could not be there, and informed us on all information discussed. They made me feel like I was the only bride they were working with, though I know this of course was not the case. They continuously updated us on any progress and with new ideas they came up with to make our wedding exactly what we hoped for. Christina took the time to understand our vision and listened to our ideas and brought our dream wedding to life. Christina helped us plan our wedding and rehearsal reception in Charleston, SC. We worked closely with Christina and her assistant, Dana, for almost a year. They both were wonderful from beginning to end. Christina's personal touch started when she answered her phone personally when I called, and the next day came out to my parent's house to meet us. From then on, her very clear priority was helping my fiancé and I create our ideal wedding weekend. She got to know us as individuals and as a couple, and she walked us through every step of the process. She was professional, well-organized, flexible, and well-connected. She was able to bring in equally talented vendors that really brought our vision to life. She thinks very well on her feet and gracefully handled every curveball and last-minute change that came her way. But it was truly her creative instincts and subtle touches that made the weekend magical. She and Dana were on top of everything the entire wedding weekend. My fiancé and I were able to relax and simply enjoy ourselves. What we created together was the perfect mix of elegance, culture, and fun that was most uniquely us. EVERYONE had a great time... Working with Christina from CiBi Events was awesome! We were a couple with a lot of ideas for our wedding but not necessarily a complete vision. Christina helped us formulate that complete vision and had a good sense of when we needed help and when we had something figured out ourselves. She had great suggestions for vendors and her involvement in the vendor selection process made the whole process more easy and fun. In the buildup to the big day she and her assistant Dana were there to keep track of the to-do's, confirm and coordinate with everyone working the wedding, handle last-minute adjustments, and just generally cheer-lead. And, really, perhaps the best thing about working with Christina and Cibi Events was that we were able to enjoy the wedding weekend to its fullest, knowing that an experienced and talented coordinator and her assistant would be making sure everything went smoothly. Christina and Dana made sure we had everything we needed on the day of the wedding and handled the pressure of coordinating a big event with grace and ease. The day ended up going perfectly, and we were thrilled with how everything turned out. We received many compliments from our guests about Christina and Dana and how much fun the whole event was. I decided to hire a wedding planner because I don't live in DC, and I worked a full-time, stressful job, so I couldn't spend hours and hours reading about every caterer, visiting a ton of venues, taste testing multiple bakeries, etc. I am SO incredibly glad I found Christina! She was incredibly nice and easy to work with from Day 1. She's very responsive and easy to get a hold of. She has tons of experience with different venues, bands, and vendors, so she could suggest a couple that she thought were great without me doing any leg work, and they always were fantastic! We used a caterer she suggested for our day-after-brunch also, and it was some of the best food I've had at a party, ever! Now my mom is using them for my brother's wedding too! She really listened to what I wanted and made our wedding day not only exactly what we hoped for (and more!), but it went off without a hitch and without my fiance or I worrying about anything! She really went above and beyond, to the point where two days before the wedding we had a bit of a welcome-gift crisis, and instead of letting me reschedule my mani/pedi to deal with it, she ran all the errands and sat at my parents house assembling gifts until they were done! She would lend helpful advice but never tried to talk me out of anything or change my mind, and she really advocated for me when a vendor was being difficult or tried to change the plan. I can't say enough good things! I swear, on the big day I was the calmest bride on the planet, thanks to Christina! -

Where to start?! Our wedding was last week, but it seems the planning for it lasted months and included hundreds of small details. Our venue (The Citadel Beach House) required a wedding planner present and thank goodness they did because Christina Baxter was a life-saver. She was available weeks before the wedding via e-mail, skype, and last minute visits to Charleston (this was a destination wedding). Through our correspondence she was genuine, imaginative and extremely professional. The day before the wedding she helped us with our rehearsal and planning for our big day (ceremony timing, itinerary, decorations, etc.). On the day of she had the entire event on cue to the minute and allowed us to truly enjoy our big day. We can't thank her enough! If you are in search of a wedding planner look no further as Christina is the real deal and will take care of you. Even if you are on the fence about getting a wedding planner, as I know we were originally, let me tell you that it was the best investment we made as her experience and demeanor allowed the entire family to let their hair down and truly enjoy the party. -

Hiring Christina as my wedding planner was by far the best decision I could have made during my wedding planning process. My wedding was the best day of my life and much of that is due to the hard work, vision, and detailed organization of Christina. I interviewed two planners, and after speaking with Christina both my mother and I knew we needed to look no further. She was enthusiastic, positive and ready to get to work immediately. Most importantly, I felt that she understood me and my still developing vision from the very beginning. She made planning the wedding easy, stress-free, and fun for me. She was extremely responsive to my emails and questions and always able to put me at ease with her wealth of knowledge.
I got engaged in January and was looking for an early summer wedding. While we had limited time, Christina helped us get on track very quickly. She found us the most perfect venue within a few days, and everything took off from there. Her recommendations of vendors were priceless. We met with, loved, then hired everyone Christina recommended. She has many connections and knows personally many people in the industry.
The day of the wedding was like a dream. From working with Christina for the past 6 months I knew that every detail would be just as I wanted, and it was. It was actually more beautiful than I imagined. My mother and I would often say, “Thank god we have Christina.” The peace of mind she gave us was truly priceless, and we are so grateful for her help. The best decision that we made on our way to the altar was choosing Christina Baxter of CiBi Events as our wedding coordinator. Our wedding day on 5/31/13 in Charleston, SC was truly the most enjoyable & memorable day of our lives. Christina worked with us to plan an event that was elegant, exquisitely produced and within our budget. Planning a destination wedding from Chicago had the potential to be chaotic and stressful, especially given our limited availability to discuss wedding plans & the pressure that we felt to make it 'worth the trip' for all of our guests. Having only spoken with Christina over the phone before choosing her as our planner, we admittedly said on numerous occasions that we were putting a lot of faith in someone that we didn’t know. Our daughter was getting married! There was great joy! She lives in Chicago. We live in Connecticut. She wanted a destination wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. With great delight, there was also some apprehension as to how we were going to plan a wedding hundreds of miles away.
Hiring Christina of CiBi Events to be our daughter’s wedding planner was the best decision we made. The wedding was magical with much of the credit going to Christina and her team.
Christina really listens. When our daughter and then fiancée described their vision and budget, Christina paid attention to all of their wishes and managed every detail to the penny.
Christina scheduled all of our meetings including; site visits, menu tastings, table design, florist, photographer, baker, hair and makeup trials, and was there to move everything through to our complete satisfaction with valued added suggestions. Christina selected exceptional vendors that shared her commitment to excellence and within our budget.
The week of the wedding Christina ran every event, orchestrating everything with perfect timing and discretion. Her scheduling and focus were invaluable. The evening of the wedding we understood clearly how it would unfold and Christina saw to it that it did. This may sound small but it isn’t. It was very helpful to know that at 6:50 I would give my welcome and father-of-the-bride remarks and to know where I would be standing.
Bottom line - on a professional level the wedding benefited greatly from Christina’s intelligence, experience, organizational/communication skills, attention to detail, proactive abilities, exceptional taste and style as well as her commendable work ethic.
When leaving for her honeymoon our daughter said, “the wedding was the best day of her life.” What more could a parent ask for? -

Christina was hands down the best "purchase" I made for our wedding!! I'm pretty sure she was helping me with aspects of our wedding that was beyond her contract. But she cared so much about the out come of our event that she did not even skip a beat helping me out! Christina helped with every sigle etiquette question I had, she basically became my 2nd mother for a year.
My husband and I were working on a yacht in the South of France, Italy and Spain during the time we were planning the wedding, which you would think would make things very difficult, but with the help of Christina is was pretty much a breeze. I'm really not sure how Christina had any other clients during our wedding planning months, she made me feel like I was her only bride. I now know what it feels like to have a personal assistant, haha, sorry Christina - but you are that good :)
I am still blown away when I think about everything Christina did for us. I felt like she was family and I am sad to not be emailing with her everyday anymore. It's like I lost a friend, she truely was my anchor during our engagement. I would regularly go strait to her when I had to make a decision for the wedding. I think my husband really like it because I was not bugging him non-stop with wedding questions, haha. Actually, I know he liked it!!

She communicated throughout the entire process, making sure my husband and I were kept in the loop, and most importantly ensuring all the vendors were on the same page which resulted in the most memorable day of not only our lives but also of our family and friends. She left no detail unturned and because of her involvement, my husband and I were stress-free the day before, the day-of and the days after. One of my favorite memories the day of was when she stopped by the salon the morning of and spent time with the girls and me . . . lots of laughter is all I can say. She made sure that the little ideas I had such as my photo wall of Polaroid’s and laying on the grass and watching the fireworks happened and not only did they happen but they happened with uniqueness, class and personality. I could write so much more because Christina’s genuine efforts gave us so many mem’ries to cherish for a lifetime, so in short, I will just say thank you to the best collaborative planner ever. Christina Baxter served as my day-of wedding coordinator for my wedding at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC. I planned my wedding on a pretty short timeline, and was relieved to find Christina early in the process. I interviewed and price compared three different potential coordinators, and Christina's price was in the middle of the three. I did not go with the least expensive option as I felt I would be more impressed with Christina's overall quality of service, experience, responsiveness, ideas, and contacts within the wedding vendor community. The more expensive coordinator quoted me the same services, but overall had less industry experience. Christina was definitely the best choice for me.
Christina's services made all the difference to my wedding day - and it certainly wouldn't have been half as successful, memorable, or wonderful without her. From the beginning, she connected me with vendors I had yet to find (florist, hair and make-up, and a cake baker). She price compared several services for me and ensured I was not over-paying, without losing out on any quality. Just what every bride needs. Additionally, I was in a pinch with my invitations as they arrived late, and needed to have them professionally addressed. Christina found a calligrapher for me on short notice who was able to turn them around for me in a weekend. This was truly a lifesaver.
Christina was incredibly responsive to my emails, provided suggestions or ideas when I needed them, provided me with useful information I wouldn't have otherwise thought of, and was completely professional. Her experience in this industry was evident throughout the entire process. Although Christina handles weddings in Washington DC and Charleston, SC, I never found her schedule to interfere with my planning. Some brides may wonder about this - but it was all completely transparent to me - never an issue at all.
During our rehearsal and wedding day, Christina executed everything in her contract with me - and more. I was able to relax and get ready with my friends and family without running around or coordinating with all of the vendors arriving. As I mentioned, Christina was a lifesaver. I had one particularly big challenge on my wedding day - we were dealing with record high heat in Washington DC. I had planned for our ceremony to take place outdoors, which was posing a problem for the hotel staff, as they were concerned about the safety of staff and guests outdoors in the heat. I was already feeling disappointed, but accepting that we would likely have to move the ceremony indoors, when Christina informed me that she had come up with a plan that the hotel agreed to that would allow us to have our ceremony outdoors. Details were changed slightly or streamlined to limit exposure outdoors. It was a huge success. And my husband and I will have the photographs of us getting married in the garden area of the Omni Shoreham to enjoy for the rest of our lives - just as we wanted!
Although I certainly plan for this to be my one and only wedding, I wish I could have another occasion to work with Christina! I had planned to do everything on my own until my wedding was quickly appproaching and I had a lot left to do. I then decided to look for help and interviewed many planners until I was fortunate enough to meeting Christina from CiBi Events a few months before my wedding. I had interviewed many planners but none understood my vision and dream like Christina. I quickly decided to work with Christina and she did everything in her power using her connections and experience to make my dream wedding come through. Everything turned out fantastically! It's been months since my wedding and everyone is still talking about how amazing my wedding turned out to be. She put me at ease every step of the way. Christina was fantastic and went above and beyond to help make our wedding fantastic. We hired Christina to do day of planning as well as help us find our catering and photographer, and it was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. Not only did everything look and taste fantastic, but we and our families got to enjoy the day without worrying about all the little details.
Christina is always willing to share her vast knowledge but encourages brides to be creative and make their weddings their own.
You don't have to be throwing a large or big budget wedding to benefit from Christina's help - and come the wedding day you'll be very glad to have her there.

Working with CiBi was one of the best decisions of our wedding. She helped us bring our vision together to have an elegant and fun wedding. During the planning process, she always responded timely to my questions or concerns. She helped us find vendors that we loved and to negotiate the contracts.

Christina was wonderful to work with--always warm and friendly, always a calming presence, always cheerful, very responsive. We had a big wedding with *a lot* of moving parts, and she handled everything with grace and wit.
She was also masterful at negotiating with our location and vendors, which was *extremely* helpful and completely necessary to us getting what we needed for our wedding weekend.

Christina Baxter at CIBI events did an excellent job planning and executing our wedding, which was quite large and complicated given that it was a weekend-long affair with multiple events and more than 200 people from around the country joining us to celebrate.
Christina is cool under pressure, creative and totally responsive to her clients' needs. All are extremely important in planning a perfect wedding.
Emily and I would recommend CIBI events to anyone who wishes to sit back, enjoy their engagement and have a fantastic wedding planned by a true pro. -

When my daughter became engaged in January and wanted a June wedding...
I live in New Jersey and the bride and groom wanted the wedding in the northern Virginia area...
What did we do?... hired Christina. After one or two conversations to discuss the vision of the wedding, Christina took us on such a great journey. She found us the perfect venue, we found the perfect dress with Christina's bridal salon suggestion. The photographer, the officiant, the band, the quartet, the caterer, transportation, all ended up being Christina's first recommendation. Christina kept saying that this wedding was blessed, as everything fell into place very quickly. I felt it was Christina's wonderful ability to listen to our vision, her broad knowledge of and great relationship with the vendors in the area, and her serious organizational skills. Her love of all things wedding comes through in all her creativity and suggestions. I can honestly say it was such a pleasure working with Christina. To say that Christina Baxter and her company, CiBi Events, made my daughter's wedding the most wonderful day of her life and her parent's life - is simply an understatement. My daughter interviewed several wedding planners in the Washington DC area -- where I can tell you a wedding planner is highly desirable - and Christina exceeded every expectation and deliverable associated with a fairly large wedding and reception at a spectacular DC venue, that Christina was very familiar with. Her company also found caterers that were unbelievable - musicians, dance music, florists and every associated service required - and having been careful to manage costs - she more than saved us her fee - and took the stress out of almost every aspect of preparing and hosting the singular event in a daughter's life. She also navigated the interests of parents and in-laws so skillfully that conflict was never an issue. She orchestrated all events - held numerous planning sessions with the bride and groom, MOB and MOG, and kept ahead of deadlines and expense management. All of which is to say -- I highly recommend her personally and her company, CiBi Events. -

It was apparent immediately upon meeting Christina that she was extremly knowledgeable in all aspects of wedding planning and has relationships with many quality vendors in the DC area. She identified all but one of the vendors that were used for our wedding and they all delivered as planned on our big day.
Christina and her assistant Lauren were great to work with they were both highly responsive and flexible in setting up meeting times and locations which was a great help to my fiance and I. There is really nothing negative that I can say regarding my experience with CiBi events. I rated them slightly lower on value (1/2 star) only because I did several things myself and could probably have gone with partial planning package.I don't regret going with the full planning though because it was good to know I could call on Christina for whatever I needed.
One final thing - a couple days before my wedding I was really dreading a conversation that I needed to have with the manager of the hotel where my wedding and reception were at and Christina handled it for me and got my request honored. I'd highly recommend Christina to any of my friends and will when the time comes. -

I think the single biggest benefit to working with her is her knowledge of top notch vendors. There are an overwhelming number of options available in the DC area for every type of vendor needed for a wedding, but she was able to make specific recommendations of 1 or 2 vendors per type, and everyone we worked with was just fantastic. -

Christina Baxter helped me plan an entire weekend celebration for 70 people. She did a wonderful job coordinating all events, vendors and details. The wedding took place both in Charleston and Kiawah and we planned the entire event from New York which required us to work with a coordinator whom we deeply trusted. From our first meeting with Christina I knew she would help bring my wife's dream and vision of our wedding to life. With me starting my military career on the west coast and my wife a full time grad student and working on the east coast, we had very little time to dedicate to the planning. Christina's hard work ethic and industry connections where put to the test when we were informed 7 days befor the wedding I would not be able to attend, due to an untimely training exercise. When we broke the word to Christina she made arrangements for us to have the wedding one day earlier. No small task for a single person to complete especially when you take in to account our wedding took place in Washington D.C. during Memorial Day Weekend. Christina was able to give us the entire wedding we planned a whole day earlier and made it seem effortless. I had to give a 4.0 for professionism because the officiant showed 30 minutes late to the wedding,and gave my father in law attitude at the rehearsal. I can not give enough praise and thanks to Christina for what she did for Adora and I.
