Amazing Cake

Christine’s Cakes and Pastries knocked it out of the ballpark with our cake. The flavors were amazing and we enjoyed every last bite! Th yea made the tasting and deciding process so easy and fun.

Best cake ever!

We are SO HAPPY we decided to go with Christine's for our wedding cake. Our cake was moist and fluffy, so flavorful - just absolutely delicious! We knew from the moment that we had our tasting that Christine's was the right choice and we signed a contract on the spot. No other cakes compared! After we chose our flavors and design, Christine's took over and handled the delivery and setup. An absolute great bakery to work with. We got SO many compliments on how this was the best wedding cake ever! We cannot recommend Christine's enough!

No ordinary Cake!

There was no doubt we were using Christine's for our wedding! They accommodated us during uncertain times for tasting and sent us home with all the flavors (which was awesome). Our cake was super simple but looked flawless and tasted amazing! All our guests were raving about it and it was vanilla cake with vanilla frosting! We can't wait for our 1 year to eat the top! It will probably taste great even then!

Amazing! Best cake ever!

I am still amazed at the cake Christine's made for my son's wedding. We sent them a picture (from pinterest) of what the bride wanted and it turned out EXACTLY like the picture. Even better, the cake tasted fabulous! Best cake I have ever tasted--the chocolate in the middle was a nice surprise. So glad my colleague recommended Christine's.

You'll want more than one piece!

We recently had Christine's as our vendor for our wedding cake and we were VERY pleased with the service and cakes. We ordered 2 cakes, one two tier round to cut and another sheet cake to serve, both were delicious and flavorful. We have had MANY people ask us where it was from and compliment us on the cake itself. From the very first meeting, they were quick and efficient as well as helpful with the details. Another bonus was that if you choose them as your vendor, you get a free 6 inch round cake on your 1 year anniversary instead of saving your top tier for your 1 year anniversary. HOW CUTE IS THAT!

We loved our cakes and are so happy to have chosen Chrisitne's. Thank you for the great cake!!

Christine's Bakery saved me at the last minute. After having a different dessert idea fall through for our wedding, we were scrambling to find a bakery that could help us on a shorter timeline and not break the bank. Christine's was very helpful and accommodating, and helped us come up with a plan that would look nice, serve all our guests, and not exceed our budget. Not only were the cakes beautiful, but they were delicious! We chose a marble cake with buttercream frosting and received a number of compliments from guests. I'm sure we'll be back for future cake needs!

Delicious!!

The first time I ever had Christine’s when I was a teenager, I knew they would be the bakery for my wedding cake. This past weekend, I had a Christine’s cake at my wedding! We did a small cutting cake and it was DELICIOUS!!! I also had an emergency where the person that was scheduled to pick up my cake the morning of the wedding no longer could due to an unforeseen emergency. I called Christine’s two days before my wedding and they were able to adjust my pick up to a day earlier than planned. Christine’s also made the sugar cookies for my bridal shower and as expected, they were amazing! Christine’s goes above and beyond with their service, talent and taste!

Christine's was amazing to work with. I had a small budget and wanted to do a small cake to cut for photography purposes with the sheet cakes in the back and they had no problem doing that (they actually suggested it to save money!) Our cake turned out beautifully the day of and tasted ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! All of our guests raved about how good it was. We also purchased cookies for our wedding shower and those turned out beautifully and were super yummy as well. Highly recommend.

This cake was amazing! They had multiple different flavor options and combinations. They also had gluten free options which was perfect for me! The cake was AMAZING. Honestly, the next day I ate about 5 pieces of cake because it was so delicious. They also were able to replicate the cake I wanted! I showed them a picture and it was almost identical. As a plus, they gave use a gift certificate to get a cake on our one year anniversary so that we did not have to save the top section (because who wants to eat freezer burnt cake). In addition, when we realized that we were going to have fewer people than expected we were able to call the week before the wedding and decrease the number of additional sheet cakes we needed!

Seriously the best cake in the area. Christine knew exactly the look I wanted just by a few sample pictures. She was also able to provide gluten free cupcakes for a handful of my guests

Simply the best cakes on earth. My guests were completely smitten with not only the look of my winter-themed cake and but also the taste, especially the frosting. In fact, my husband has been yelling at me for sticking my fingers in the frosting of the left overs every time I open the fridge. Everyone at Christine's is super easy to work with and completely reasonable on how much cake you will really need for your event. I really appreciated their honesty and dedication to making my wedding cake look magical! Thank you!

Yesterday was our wedding day we orginally were getting out wedding cake from Sams Club, but they called us the morning of the wedding to inform us there cakes were recalled. Christine's bakery made our cake in a timely mattered and delivered it. They even gave us a voucher for a cake on our 1 year anniversary. We were extremely satisfied and loved the cake! We absolutely loved our cake!!!! Not to mention how gorgeous it was, it was the best tasting cake I have ever had! Everyone at Christine's is so accommodating and always has a smile on their faces. Christine made the whole process so easy to design and chose our cake. She was extremely price conscious and guided us in ways that would help us save money but still have a beautiful and tasty cake! :)

We LOVED our cake from Christine's! When we went to the bakery we sat down and planned out the cake with Christine and I knew it was going to be perfect. She is so creative and made a one-of-a-kind cake for us. It was so beautiful on our wedding day and not to mention, tasted amazing! Even when I called 2 days before needing more cake for our unexpectedly larger guestlist, it was absolutely no problem and they were more than accommodating. I would definitely recommend for a beautiful, reasonably priced and delicious cake! Thank you, Christine's!

Best. Cake. Ever.

I was so pleased with both the look at the TASTE of our cakes. Christine's made an 8" gluten free cake for me, which was the best gluten free cake I've ever had. The main wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous and matched the picture that I gave them perfectly. Multiple guests told me that the buttercream was the best they had ever eaten, which I agree with! I felt the pricing was reasonable as well as the delivery charge.

I plan to get any future cakes that I can from Christine's, and will continue to tell everyone I know to do the same. They came highly recommended to me by one of my bridesmaids, and she was certainly right!

I wouldn't dream of using any other bakery for any cake or pastry need, so it was a no-brainer to have Christine's create our wedding cake. We had a tall order (classic elegance for me, with a "hint" of Star Wars for the hubby) and Christine's (of course) blew us away with the result. The whole staff was a pleasure to work with from start to finish and wedding guests still comment about our beautiful and unique cake (a year later!).

The people at Christine's were professional and easy to work with. They helped us design a cake that was perfect for us. We wanted something unique and they did a great job. Each layer was a different flavor and our guests loved all of them. Their pricing was good and I would recommend them to everyone.

We could not be more pleased with how our wedding cake turned out for our May 16th wedding! Not only was it delicious, and moist, it was breathtakingly beautiful. Working with Christine to design our perfect cake was a very enjoyable experience as well. She is knowledgeable, very nice to speak with, and can turn any of your cake dreams into reality. She also advised us on exactly how much to buy so that we did not have too much or too little. We used Christine’s for the cupcakes for our wedding shower as well, and were blown away. From this day forward I will never get my cakes or baked goods from anywhere else!

Our wedding isn't until May of 2016 but I'm BURSTING to share how amazing Christine's has been to work with already! Kristin was so helpful... I had an idea of what I wanted in my mind and after explaining it to her, it became even better! Not only was she timely with her responses, but, she went above and beyond with the information she gave. Can't wait to have our cake and eat it, too! :)

Best commercial cake I have tasted. My cake design was perfect. Also, now has gluten-free! Was able to get my cake topper gluten free for those at my reception with special dietary needs. Love that they offer a fresh made "cake topper" on your one year anniversary so you don't have to save it from your wedding day. My extended family uses Christine's for all of our family events! Highly recommend!

Delicious!!

Christine's took the time to help us decide the flavors, decoration, and any other detail we wanted the day of. We were able to do a complimentary taste testing of the cakes. We had two different cupcake flavors for our guests and then a small wedding cake for us/bridal party to share. There were no issues with working with Christine’s and everything went smoothly. Instead of having to freeze your wedding cake, Christine gives you a coupon for a free 6 inch cake to redeem on your 1st anniversary. Such a good idea!

Christine’s also made us a custom cookie for our wedding favors. We had a bird theme wedding and Christine’s made us a bird cookie. I will say it was expense, but totally worth it because they have the best cookies ever. Our guests and us loved how cute they turned out and people were eating their bird cookie favors at the wedding!

Cannot go wrong with Christine's. They put out quality product and you pay for what you get!

I received so many complements on both of our cakes. The wedding cake was so beautifully decorated and just looked to good to cut. The groom's cake was the famous poured chocolate and my guests were impressed. Both cakes really were over the top and just absolutely amazing.

Sherri was great to work with! She worked with me to create my perfect, beautiful, delicious wedding cake while I was living in Florida. Even though everything we discussed was online, she was so helpful and the cake turned out perfectly and absolutely delicious! Could not be happier!

Christines Cakes 1) Looks beautiful and 2) Tastes amazing. I was able to pick out a few cakes from their on-line gallery and once I chose the one I liked, modify it to fit my needs with no extra charges. They worked seamlesly with my florist and even added a last minute mini grooms cake for me. I plan on using them for all my future cake needs!

Christine's made my wedding cake it is was better than I had imagined! We had a chocolate cakes with buttercream and poured chocolate icing on top. It was gorgeous and they had delicate filigree icing decorations in white buttercream. My guests loved the cake and the presentation was beautiful. They delivered the cake perfectly on time and I didn't stress about anything. When planning and ordering the cake, they were flexible, creative and affordable!

Christine is a gem. She is artistically gifted, and one of the nicest people you could work with. Not matter what your vison she will make it happen, and you get a true sense that she is very proud of her work. Her cakes and pasteries are by far the best in detroit, her sugar free stuff is AMAZING!!! Christine knew I wasn't a big fan of cake, so she worked with us on making the perfect lemon cake (the only one I like). She didn't just throw something together, you could tell she spent alot of time coming up with the perfect mixture of flavor. This isn't the same old dried out cake, this is the kind your guest will be talking about!!

By far the best cake I have ever had in my life. I have lived in many places in the states and eaten alot of cake . She really has it down. Moist, not overly sweet and really is a great listener if you have your own creative ideas. She will do traditional or tortes or anything. We have ordered shower cakes and event cakes as well as filled chocolate tulips(exceptional treat) many times over or just for a girlie night treat. By the way I live 100 miles from this bakery and yes it was a challenge and a fear but nothing went wrong!

To state it simple, I brought a picture of the most unique, gorgeous wedding cake that I had ever seen and told her that's what I wanted. She said no problem, designed it according to my number of guests, adjusted it to make it perfect for us, and even suggested the vendor for wedding toppers that I wanted. They were schwarovski monogrammed initials that were out of this world gorgeous! They even had them put into a tray for me after the wedding! The cake should have been in magazines around the world. It had seven different flavors inside and even a year later, fresh out of the freezer on our one-year anniversary it tasted just like our wedding day! mmmmmm......Our cake even made it into her sample book on display in the store. The taste was moist, sweet, and delicious! Christine is the most talented cake designer in all of eastern Michigan! She's worth it! Believe me!

Christine's came to me highly recommended by coworkers and friends, so we went with them. She took the idea I had in mine, sketched it out in front of my eyes and made it into a beautiful cake for me! However, I purchased a monogram that I dropped off a month before for the top and they FORGOT IT! I got to my reception and it wasn't there, so one of my bridesmaids called and said they needed to bring it over stat. Well, they did, but then they put it on upside down. No one could tell, but I could. Regardless, the cake was good and they fixed the mistake promptly.

Christine's bakery was/is AWESOME! We got our wedding cake and cookie favors from them and everything was perfect! The service is wonderful and the staff is great! I would definitely recommend them to any bride.

Taste is everything when it comes to a cake and Christine's Cake is fabulous tasting. There were a few small disappointments that I noticed as soon as I walked into the reception though. Needless to say I am very picky about details. The cake was not as I had pictured in my mind. I had provided them a picture and tried to go over what I was expecting. I paid a little more for the fondant decorations and was assured that the pine cones, berries and chocolate twigs would be beautiful but they were dull and looked like brown and dark red blobs. I was concerned about putting real or silk on the cake because I wouldn't want any dye from them to taint the frosting. I'm sorry I didn't though. I'm a big cake lover and ordered extra layers so there would be left-overs but there wasn't any even though my guest count was less than I had ordered for. I also had some of the layers triple stacked to add height and I had asked repeatedly if the drawing and layer sizes would look off balance. I was assured it wouldn't but it did. I really wanted the cake to shine and requested that it stay on display longer than typical because it was suppose to be a real beauty. It wasn't. I did not have one person tell me how beautiful the cake was.

I have always bought from Christines bakery. I am a 52 year old bride and as soon as set the date I went right to Christines and was execited to order the Cherry Nut Cake. I have always ordered that flavor for other occasions. My wedding was beautiful, the food was great and my guest gave me postive feedback on everything except the cake. I was so dissapointed. They said that the cherry nut was so dry and the frosting was oily. I just wanted you to know so that maybe you can do something about it for the next customer.

Christine's has an outstanding reputation in the community and a great quality product. However, they are extremely overpriced and dealing with her personally was not enjoyable. Let me start off my saying that I was very happy with the overall outcome of the cake itself. It was beautiful and delicious as I expected it would be from there. However, our first meeting with Christine was very unprofessional. Without even saying hello, the first words she uttered to us was "did you put down a deposit"? We said we hadn't even spoke with her yet. Also, during the whole meeting she was very much 'scatter-brained'. I think if Christine had a sales representative, the experience would have been much better. She seems too busy to be dealing with customers. In the end, I got the cake of my dreams so I guess that's all that matters.

I called in and asked if I needed to order a dozen poured cupcakes on line to ensure that I got them. I was told by the staff that I didn't need to do that unless I was coming in within one hour of closing. I arrived at 12, and was told that they were out of the poured cupcakes.(I had driven from the Troy/Bloomfield area) I explained that I had inquired and was told that they would have them. She then offered that I could buy the poured cake, which is more expensive, but no compensation was offered -she didn't offer that I could buy the cake for the price of the dozen. However, I did purchase the cake because they were going to be closed for the holiday. I thought this was not professional, friendly, responsive or flexible to me the customer.
I will not be returning!
