  I had lost my wedding band after 20+ years, and we finally decided to get one to replace it. Christensen Heller Gallery had a number of beautiful rings with stones. I ended up with a square, Chinese red jade in a gold setting, masculine and smart looking. The price was fair, the quality excellent, and the resizing was quick without altering the structure of the ring. I am forever amazed at the unique treasures they find and bring into inventory and the ones they create. I found my first ring later of course, and now I have a choice, both are special for different reasons.

  Don't shop anywhere else for jewelry!!! My husband and I started dating when we were only 14 years old and by the time we were ready to get married, had just bought our first home. That didn't stop my fiance from choosing the most beautiful (and expensive!) Van Craeynest ring to get me. Unfotunately, we did not have the budget to pay for it outright and went jeweler to jeweler trying to find ANYONE that would let us make payments towards it ...until we called Van Craeynest directly and were refered to Christensen Heller Gallery, where we met Baird. Baird is the nicest person you will ever meet. He worked with us down to the tiniest detail to make that ring perfect ...and ours!!! Three years after we first walked through the doors of that amazing shop on College Avenue, Ryan walked out with a ring box (that I was not allowed to look inside!!! He didn't want me to see the finished ring until he officially proposed). Baird has ever since been our family jeweler, doing repairs and maintenance on anything I might dig up. Christensen Heller Gallery is the only place we will ever buy ANY jewlery again!!! They are inclredibly creative, talented people who know how to help their customers. When our family gave us our diamond as an engagement present (a weird tradition! Don't ask!!) Baird was happy to fit it into out ring. And when metal prices shot up through the roof just weeks before the wedding was scheduled (when we were making what should have been the final installment needed to order the matching wedding band for my engagement ring) Baird found a band in stock that he was able to fit to our ring perfectly while matching our budget! When I decided to get my fiance a Meteorite-set-in white gold wedding band, Baird had the perfect one from Chris Ploof. Later, when we decided to add a tiny diamond to my wedding band, Baird took care of that too, and you would never guess it was added later!! When an antique silver ring my best friend bought me in Scotland cracked, he fixed it like new!!!! Honestly, my husband and I have never set foot in any other jewelry stores since discovering this hidden treasure!

  It's hard for me to speak to value, because I don't buy a lot of jewelry, but we know about Jan from my parents-in-law, who have been going to her for decades. She has a beautiful, unique selection, and she'll work hard to help you find what you're looking for.
  
  We got my engagement ring and both our wedding bands from Jan, and my husband also bought my wedding present there, a beautiful white gold necklace. She also sells some other things as well; for Christmas, my parents-in-law just gave me a beautiful jewelry box from the Gallery.
  
  I highly recommend paying Jan a visit!

I still get compliments on it all the time. Plus, you'll have an honest-to-goodness jeweller in your court, as in "My jeweller says/has/found me this_____ . " Now how cool is *that*!

  After losing my very traditional diamond engagement ring in the '89 earthquake, I decided that what I REALLY wanted was a great big emerald. . . Jan brought in several emeralds for me (and my husband) to consider. She was VERY patient and listened well to what I wanted. I ended up going slightly traditional in the setting--a three stone ring so I could wear it with a diamond eternity wedding ring--BUT we put two purple sapphires around the emerald. Of course, I went with a platinum setting. If you want drop dead gorgeous, unique designs with fabulous stones, look no further than Jan Christensen Heller. I've purchased many, many items from her. Jan is worth her weight in platinum, and then some!
