The best!

DJ Chris was so much fun to work with! From the initial consultation phone call, to our actual wedding day, Chris took the time to get to know us, our music tastes, and what we envisioned for our wedding. You can really tell that he feels genuine happiness and excitement for the couples he works with, and wants to provide the best possible experience! His online portal website makes the planning process incredibly easy, as it can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Chris was there to provide suggestions and fun ideas as well. In my opinion, Chris has DJing down to a science. He knows exactly how to build up the music to create the most energetic and fun dance floor and get people excited, and he DEFINITELY knows how to read the crowd!! When he could see/hear our guests getting really into a song, he followed up with another hit. At the end of our wedding, we had multiple friends come up to us to tell us how much they loved the music playlist! I cannot recommend Chris enough for all musical/DJ needs!

Excellent DJ Experience

We hired Chris for a wedding at the Parkway Library in Philadelphia and he was, in short, excellent. Prior to our wedding, he was quite professional, and was very efficient during meetings we had with us. Our main prep meeting took place only a few weeks before our wedding, which was great for us because we were very busy leading up to our wedding and did not have much time in the months prior to pay much attention to music. On the day of, Chris and his team did a great job from a technical perspective. From getting the volume level right for the ceremony (indoors in a large hall), to the speeches, to making sure the music sounded great (outdoors under a tent), Chris and his team crushed it and made everything really seamless and easy for us.

And Chris brought great energy to the dancefloor. I have to admit that I was just a bit skeptical about the claim on his website about being really, really good at reading crowds (it sounds like something every DJ says), but Chris truly backed that claim up. The music choices were perfect for our group (a really nice combination of songs we specifically asked for and others that he came up with) and the transitions were excellent and pretty much always at exactly the right time. He did not speak too much, but when he did, it was effective and impactful. All of our friends had a great time and we got to see several older family members on the dancefloor that we had never seen dance before. And, although I know Chris does a lot of weddings, he truly made us feel like ours was special. Overall, I would highly recommend Chris and his team.

Chris kept our friends and family dancing all night, and guests kept coming up to us during the party and afterwards to say that we had the best music they'd ever heard at a wedding. He went above and beyond, even accommodating last-minute additions from Taylor Swift's brand new "Midnights" album and a surprise mother-daughter dance to Carole King's "Where You Lead" that multiple people have texted me about in the days since our wedding. Above and beyond all expectations

Chris was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ/sound technician/all-around all-star. He made the sound coordination with all our vendors incredibly seamless from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception. Chris was also very accommodating, going out of his way to make a "mash-up" for the father-daughter dance. For the reception, we gave him two or three "must's" and a general feel of what we were looking for, and otherwise told him he had free reign of the dance floor. Chris provided an absolutely electric environment, which had everyone dancing the entire night. We had multiple soon-to-be married couples come up to us afterwards asking for his information because he was the best DJ they ever experienced at a wedding.

All our guests loved Ron!

After being to many a wedding prior to our own, we always said all we needed to make our day great was good food and good music, and Marx Event Group was everything we could have asked for in a DJ. We spoke to Chris a few times in the planning process, he understood our “vibe” right off the bat and made it clear he and his team were happy to make the day whatever we wanted. He was very responsive to questions and made himself available to us at any time. We were able to meet with Chris and Ron over Zoom prior to the wedding day to talk through the full timeline, which really helped put us at ease. On the wedding day, Ron crushed it. He made a last-minute suggestion to change up where we did our first dance and speeches – we loved it – and so many of our guests commented on how great it was (as though it had been planned all along). And he had our guests dancing and singing along the whole night. Everyone was on the dance floor. In the weeks after the wedding, people have specifically said how much they loved our DJ. Thank you to Ron and Chris for making the process so easy and for doing your job so well that we didn’t have to worry about a thing!

Amazing!!!

Chris Marx was an absolute joy to work with! He was extremely attentive, caring, fun, and knew exactly what he was doing. Chris was able to create and hold the different moods we were trying to achieve throughout different parts of our wedding. His overall knowledge of his trade made it very easy to plan the soundtrack of our wedding. Even after all of the planning Chris was able to make quick decisions during the wedding to make everything run smoothly. Overall Chris was the best DJ we could have chosen for our wedding and really made our wedding wonderful.

Best Party DJ

We loved working with Chris for our wedding! He was so quick in his responses, so easy to work with, great at listening to our wishes, and just so much fun to talk to! We had a few requests for our music & he incorporated them flawlessly. He had EVERYONE on the dance floor for the ENTIRE night! People who hadn't danced at a wedding in years were on the floor with us (my uncle emailed me & told me he hadn't been on a dance floor in 30 years!!) We had people coming up to us during the wedding to compliment the DJ & people kept talking it well past the wedding date. All we wanted was for people to have fun and Chris was instrumental in that, it was the most fun night of my life. We also used his photobooth, which was so cute and our guests loved it.

Best DJ ever!

Chris is so easy to work with and so good at his job. He provided mics and music for the ceremony as well as the reception. The ceremony I could not even tell I was speaking into a mic. It's just subtle enough so that everyone can hear, you won't feel like you are on a stage. My husband and I made a Spotify playlist for our wedding music and Chris worked with our list and damn did we dance. Everyone told me that had never been to a wedding with such good music. People were dancing all night me especially! Your may think a DJ is a crazy expense but I can assure you of you hire Chris it's a worthwhile one. The whole day will go smoother with a DJ to help direct the guests and provide the proper musical ques. Absolutely hire Chris he's simply the best.

Best Wedding DJ!

When it comes time to book your DJ, look no further and choose Chris Marx! We received compliments all throughout the week about how awesome the atmosphere was, and we must specially thank Chris Marx for this! He is a preferred vendor of a lot of places in the area, and the second we booked with him we could tell why. Chris is so up to date on all the latest technology so when it came time to make payments and changes, they were immediate and seamless. We chose him for our reception early in the planning process, but about 3 weeks prior to our wedding day I needed to book music last minute for the ceremony, he was able to add that service on with no problem. During that same meeting he answered all my questions before I could even ask them! That night was seriously the best night of my life. He had to line everyone up for introductions, all 25 of us, it can be overwhelming to do that and he did it with no problem and stuck to the timeline. Some DJs I have seen in the past try to steal the show and Chris just made it all about my Husband and I. He played any requests that we had and had every single person up dancing the whole night! We are so happy we chose Chris, he had the best attitude and fit right in with our crowd! If you are looking for a professional DJ with the perfect mix of music for your wedding, you have to choose Chris Marx!!!!!!

Amazing DJ with an awesome photobooth!

My husband and I had Chris Marx recently DJ our wedding and I can't say enough good things about him! Our guests were up and dancing all night long and I had a BLAST. He was able to perfectly read the dance floor and play the best songs - he really listened to us and understood the vibe we were looking for. He made the planning process so easy and I felt like I never had to worry about anything - and I was right! Chris was there early setting up for cocktail hour and played relaxing music throughout. He perfectly opened up the dance floor for the night - even catering towards our younger guests at the wedding. His MC skills were great and the transitions betweens entrances, first dances, garter/bouquet toss, etc was perfect. We also used him for our Photo Booth and our guests had so much fun - we even received a USB with all the pictures that same night. We can't say enough good things about Chris - you definitely will NOT go wrong booking with him!!

Truly excellent! Chris saved our ceremony and got our guests dancing!

We worked with Chris Marx and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a flexible DJ and photobooth! He was super easy to work with before our big day and made the process of selecting music very painless. On the day of, it rained and we lost power right before the ceremony. Chris saved our ceremony by having a generator and quickly setting it up! Thanks to Chris, we were able to play all of our pre-selected music for the ceremony and our officiant was able to use a mic. During the reception, Chris was MC and really did an excellent job at keeping people's attention and getting people dancing! He also supplied the photo booth (at a tiny extra cost) and a book for people to place their photos, which turned into our guestbook! Thanks, Chris, for helping to make our wedding day one of the best days of our lives!

We had a blast!

Excellent wedding DJ and photo booth

From our first call with Chris, we knew we were in good hands. I heard about him through a friend of a friend who said they had the absolute best wedding DJ. Intrigued, I did some research online and found stellar reviews everywhere I looked. Chris was so professional and easy to work with. His online system for putting in all the reception details, bridal party names, requested songs, etc. is a testament to just how many weddings he has done and that he knows his stuff. When our reception finally arrived, we were so impressed by Chris’ ability to read the crowd. Once the cake was cut, the dance floor was packed for two straight hours. Everyone had a great time and complimented the DJ. We also used Chris’ photo booth and the attendant was so friendly and helpful. Our guests loved it and it was such a great value. Booking a photo booth through another company would have been much more expensive. Marx Event Group was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. If you’re looking for your wedding to be a great party, hire Chris. You will not regret it.

Dance Competition Success

Chris was great to work with! He kept everyone dancing all night long at our wedding! Our 4 year old nephew would not stop dancing until Chris announced him the winner of the dance competition. He called my 13 year old daughter up to do some DJing/scratching. She was my maid of honor and a bit nervous about her speech. Chris talked to her beforehand and helped to calm her down and walk her through what she needed to do. Our venue had several rooms Chris had to keep up with and he managed flawlessly. He was able to find some rather obscure songs we wanted played for ceremony and reception. I wasn't sure how he'd fit them but he did. He kept the dancing/party flowing all night long! He also provided our photo booth which was a hit with everyone. Our photo booth attendant, Chris, was awesome and everyone loved him!

Chris is the BEST

Working with Chris was the best decision I made for my wedding. The number 1 thing on my wedding day was that I wanted everyone to dance all night long because I LOVE to dance. And he did not disappoint. The dance floor was packed all night. I only had a few song requests but I let him do his job and he knew exactly what to play and when! It was honestly perfect. Unparalleled!!!

As someone who has attended 9 weddings in 2 years I would like to start out by saying nothing compared to Chris! He was always easily accessible either by phone of email....his system for reservations and payment is flawless....his roll with the flow personality was essential to the hiccups of our wedding! And you absolutely MUST reserve the photo booth! He has a bunch of backgrounds and a hundred photo strip designs and he brings his own props...there is no way your event cant coordinate with his options! I left him a simple note on a chair and that was that! He setup perfectly and was remarkably respectful even though my wedding party constantly talked over him! Simply I could not have asked for a better DJ! I unfortunately dont remember the photo booth operators name (I'm so sorry) but he was AMAZING as well! Super helpful and he hung onto copies of mine and my grooms photo strips until the end so we didn't have to keep track of them! That was just fabulous!!! The photo booth is and "open air" style, which means it's a camera setup in front of a backdrop, no curtain, or tiny box, this allows more people to get into the shot, and he was able to angle the camera to capture some of my wheelchair bound guests!!!

Best dj ever

There are weddings, and then there are CHRIS MARX WEDDINGS. From the very beginning Chris was incredibly professional but also personable. He understood the stress of wedding planning and made the entire process incredibly smooth and simple. He listened to us and our requests and knew when to provide advice. Because of his expertise I knew we could rely on him with mics, schedules, lights, and sounds. Speaking of sounds, his entire system at the ceremony and reception was perfect. Chris as an MC was INCREDIBLE. The entire nights was about the bride and groom, and he knew it. He was able to get people up and moving in no time. That proved to be no trouble as he dropped beats all night. He flowed seamlessly through songs making it a huge dance party! He even sprinkled in some trollings with Christmas music as that was the groom's favorite. And to top it all of, without any requests, he allowed the best man to give a thrilling rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody and ended the night on the Eagles Fights Song (a staple for any true fan!). We’ve been to a lot of weddings, and we can say without a doubt that Chris is leaps and bounds ahead of them all. His professionalism, humor, timing, musical knowledge, and overall personality made him easy to work with. I would want to plan another wedding just to have him as a DJ again. Chris is the absolute best! We were lucky enough to have attended the wedding of two of our favorite people and got to chat with him a bit before their wedding started. It felt like we were talking to and laughing with a longtime friend. Then, we got to experience how flawless and entertaining he is on the mic! When we finally booked our big day, the first call was to see if Chris was available. Lucky for us, he was! Leading up to the wedding he was amazing. He would regularly check in to see what special requests we had, what songs we were choosing for special moments, and even offered advice when we were having trouble deciding. Chris DJed my 6/2/18 wedding in Cape May and he was phenomenal! Not only is he the nicest, sweetest guy, but he was extremely thorough during the planning process and made me feel completely at ease going into my wedding day. I dreamed of walking down the aisle to a specific version of the wedding march and Chris tracked it down for me. He carried out every request my husband and I had and played fantastic music all day long. When he found out my family and I are huge Philadelphia Eagles fans, Chris surprised us and created one of my favorite moments of the day by playing the Eagles fight song during the reception. I couldn't recommend him enough!

Chris Marx is absolutely amazing! When looking for DJs, we saw Chris had all 5-star reviews, and after booking him for our wedding--we completely understand why! Weddings can be stressful to plan, especially entertaining 200 people for hours. Chris took the stress out of it all, from the planning stages to the actual reception. My husband and I have a wide variety of musical taste, ranging from country to pop to hip hop to rock. Chris was able to navigate his way through to keep everyone in the crowd entertained from beginning to end. I like the personal touches he added to the cocktail hour and reception. Chris also had a previous relationship with our venue, which made us feel at ease. He even had the Penn State fight song on his playlist, which he played to end the night--a perfect ending for this PSU alum!! He takes a few pictures to commemorate the night, which was such a nice touch to see in the days after our wedding! We love Chris and would recommend him time and time again!!!

He did an awesome job communicating with us and making sure that every detail was accounted for. Chris DJed our September 2017 wedding. He made the whole process extremely easy. We also had a band so Chris coordinated with them, played the cocktail hour and during the band breaks. We had the good fortune to know Chris prior to our engagement, I say good fortune because he was one thing our guests couldn’t stop talking about. From planning, to ceremony, to reception Chris was on top of everything, helping the flow and coordination of our event and festivities. He made us feel super comfortable and completely relaxed throughout the planning process. He got EVERYONE out on the dance floor all night long. Relatives and friends alike were out dancing the night away. The transitions and song choices were on point for the mood and the atmosphere. Chris has a true talent for picking the perfect songs at the perfect moment. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about what they do for a living and takes his job seriously and with commitment Chris is your guy. We felt relaxed knowing our guests would be enjoying themselves at our reception, he went above and beyond what we expected of him. Chris did an awesome job from start to finish. He’s as good as they come. A couple highlights we remember (since the day seriously flys by):

1) in my nervous state, not 20 minutes before walking out, i stammered a quick remark to Chris “Hey, my one pet peeve is awkward transitions” and then ran away. lol Chris had the presence of mind to digest my request and politely come back to me later to get a better understanding of what i meant. He sincerely put a lot of thought around my off handed comment but wasn’t afraid to get clarification. Yes, i was a groomzilla.

2) During the dancing, Chris asked permission to pull a fun stunt with the crowd. Playing the first 20 seconds of ‘All i want for christmas’ by Mariah Carey followed by a perfectly executed switch to Soulja Boi “Superman that Ho”... it was utterly amazing! He was able to read the crowd and know it would be a hit.

3) Last but not least by any means, Chris is just a down to earth good dude. Easy to talk to. Great planning skills. He even has his own portal for his clients to use to pick out the songs they want months prior to the big day. A+ Service. 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks again for everything, Chris!!

We found our DJ, Art Armani, for our September 23, 2017 wedding through Chris Marx Events. We did not have a vision AT ALL for the music on our wedding day. Where do we even start?! My fiancé and I booked with Chris almost two years before our wedding date. Throughout the entire planning process Chris was extremely patient, professional, and quick to respond to any questions/requests. He met with us the week of our wedding and truly made us feel like we were family more than clients. I left our final meeting knowing our day would be perfect from the ceremony music and sound, to the cocktail hour and reception music. We're now almost three weeks out from our wedding and we are still getting compliments on how awesome the music was! It was truly a non-stop PARTY! Chris exceeded all expectations we had for a night full of dancing and fun! Hands down the best out there! We will continue to recommend him to all our family & friends for any and all events! :)

Our Dj from Chris Marxs was Dj Darren!!! We had the pleasure of meeting Chris and Darren together and we all had a really fun time planning the music for our reception. They both had great ideas when my then fiancé and I were stumped. At the reception Dj Darren was entertaining and way FUN! He even came out from behind the Dj booth to show our family and friends the dance moves to Wobble, made sure we were all going in the right direction to cha cha slide and Cupid shuffle. He even came around and took some selfies with my husband and myself. Truly professional and a blast to work with. He also took the time to come get the line in order for the entrances into the reception. We highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future!

Chris was the best choice for our wedding day! From the first phone conversation I had with him you could tell he loves what he does! He was super fast in responding to any questions or concerns I had, I know my emails got annoying! He really tries to get to know you and what you are looking to get out of your BIG day. I was so relaxed after our in person meeting a few weeks before the wedding. He went over everything with us, from songs to play, not play, play if requested. He really did think of it all. He was big on the little touches. During our meeting he talked with Greg (The groom) about having tissues in his pocket for the mothers in case they started crying. Greg ended up needing them himself so it was perfect! After our entrance into the reception, he gave Greg a microphone and he was able to say a little something and officially ask me for "our first dance." It was adorable, everyone loved it! He added a monogram to dance floor and even hashtags lighting that shined up onto the walls! Honestly he thinks of so many things that you know you can relax and enjoy your day! Like turning off any dance lighting during your first dance so it doesn't mess up your professional photos. He also recorded our ceremony for us and took photos during the reception! The photos during the reception were such a nice surprise! They are from such a different perspective then all the other pictures we had. He is truly amazing, you will not be disappointed!!

Chris was absolutely amazing! We just had our wedding this past weekend and he went above and beyond for us. He was always available to talk with via text, phone, or e-mail. He even put together a mix for my dad and I to do a choreographed dance for our father/daughter dance. He also did the sound for our outdoor ceremony and provided us with a GoPro video of the ceremony, included in the price. It was absolutely perfect! Guests were dancing throughout the night and I don't think the dance floor was ever empty. He always chose just the right song. I had many guests come up to me and tell me just how great he was. I highly recommend him! He was awesome!

My husband called Chris, 1 week before our wedding, and we instantly liked him! He was responsive, flexible and professional. Chris is a phenomenal DJ who goes absolutely above and beyond to make your day perfect! For starters, he set up a meeting with us prior to the wedding to make sure he understood what we wanted, gave a little advice when asked (providing excellent guidance, by the way), but made sure to respect our and deliver on what we requested. On the day of - a hot, muggy July day - he greeted me at the door of the reception (where we arrived later than planned/hoped) when I was feeling scattered, rushed, and more than a little sweaty and disheveled, welcomed me, took a moment to reassure me everything was fine and that I looked beautiful - all in all, just calmed me down and helped set me back at ease in the midst of a hectic (but wonderful!) day. The music selections and timing were on point, the songs we requested were all there, and everybody was up and dancing. That may all be pretty normal, so let me add in the things that just made my day and made me so grateful. He coordinated with my parents to deliver a special recorded message from my grandmother who fell and broke her leg two weeks before my wedding (and so couldn't be there) - um, tears on that one! He also coordinated with a friend of mine who was playing live music outside for our last dance to provide the electrical hookups needed. Finally, he captured some of my favorite and most treasured pictures of the day throughout his time with us - especially aforementioned final dance outside - and sent us a link to the pictures. What DJ does that? He is amiable, professional, a class-act, highly skilled, knows how to make an excellent, tailored-to-his-clients party happen, and - above all - just goes above and beyond in so many different ways. Beyond pleased and highly recommend!!!

Chris was AWESOME! He came highly recommended from a friend of mine and I'm so glad we decided to book him as early as we did. Our wedding was Sept. 10th, in Ocean City, NJ. Chris supplied music and Microphones for our ceremony on the beach and so much more for our Reception. He was always available for any questions or changes you might have. We didn't want a cookie cutter wedding with the twist and electric slide but we didn't need to tell Chris that. He knew how to personalize everything to our taste, offering suggestions that were right inline with our style.. as if he knew what we wanted before we said it.
Chris took the time to get to know us, and I can say with all honesty, he felt like a friend. Chris prepared an incredibly touching introduction for us that we are still raving about months later. We chose someone that orchestrated the biggest party of our life, and we couldn't be happier.

Chris Marx was the ultimate professional and great DJ for our wedding. Most importantly, all of our guests were on the dance floor the entire night. Chris goes the extra mile and we were extremely blessed and fortunate to have him with us. He traveled and met with us several times before our wedding to get to know each other and find out exactly what we were looking for. He is very funny and witty without being too much. He is extremely good at returning phone calls, emails, and communicating. Unfortunately this is not the norm for other entertainers and wedding vendors. With Chris he legitimately cares about making your wedding the best day of your life and will do whatever he can to make it happen. He really became a good friend to my wife and I, we could not recommend him enough to anybody looking for a DJ for any occasion. My husband and I were just married this past July and we chose Chris Marx to DJ at our wedding reception. If you are looking for an awesome DJ to play at your big event ... LOOK NO FURTHER! If you are looking to book a DJ for an event, look no further. We are four days beyond our the day of our wedding and the memories continue to pour in. While in the midst of our wedding reception, it was impossible to be aware of all this master DJ orchestrated to create the special moments that we are only now realizing were facilitated by his expertise. After reading the reviews it is difficult to relay comments about Chris that have not already been noted by other clients. We echo their compliments and underscore what sets him apart from other vendors. Chris took the time to meet with us well in advance to get a sense of who we were and the story behind the bride and groom so he would be able to best meet our needs. In a short time with him we realized he was a person who we could trust with making choices for us. We gave him a handful of songs that we wanted included and gave the rest over to him. At a time when we were so overwhelmed it was such a relief to hear Chris say,"Don't worry, I've got this." I can tell you now, when he says he's got this, he does! Chris created a unique program of music for our reception with multiple personal touches that moved our guests emotionally and got them up and moving physically. He was professional and comfortable to work with all at the same time. He found a way to gently manage a wedding party that was not easily managed. From his mixes and selections to the perfect volume, to his skill at keeping the focus on the bride and groom and not himself, Chris conveyed a sincere interest in us as individuals and a genuine passion for what he does. We cannot even put into words how happy we were with our choice in Chris. He made us feel like we knew him forever and just really made the day feel it was for us. We had gone to a wedding about a year prior to our wedding and we immediately knew that he was who we needed for our day. Then when our time came, he did not let us down. I had so many compliments afterwards about how amazing the wedding was and how everybody had a blast, the "the DJ just knew what to play and when" i had heard several times. My biggest fear going into my wedding was that the dancing would be so minimal with all that goes on, but that was so far from true. Chris was recommended through another DJ/friend of mine, and I couldn't have been happier with the results. He brought unique aspects to the reception w/ the personalized bridal party introductions and the "Love Story" prior to the bride/groom entrance. Everyone loved these introductions and commented on how original they were. Chris was a true professional from the initial planning stages through the last song. As a former DJ myself, I was blown away at his song selection; the variety and mixing of music was more than I'd hoped for, and he kept our crowd going all night.
I literally have no criticisms.

Out of all of the decisions that I had to make when planning my wedding, my decision to use Chris as our DJ was by far the best! Anytime I emailed him during the planning, I heard back from him within minutes. I was unsure of what songs to use for my ceremony and he completely took control, relived my stress and picked most of them for me. I had a certain song I wanted to walk down the isle to and he made it all happen for me. All of my guests absolutely loved him and the dance floor was full all night long! He made sure my wedding was different from all the other boring, traditional weddings. He made sure our wedding was a reflection of who we are and he did a phenomenal job! I couldn't be happier!!

Our friends and family can't stop talking about our DJ! Chris was beyond fantastic. The music was perfect. His mixes are flawless and the music was on point- it was incredible. From the first moment we were introduced I knew why we chose Chris! It was personal and he became our family. He was quick to pick up on surprises made by our family (so much so we thought he was in on it) and not once did I have to worry about our guests being entertained. Chris Marx was a true asset to making our wedding the ultimate event of 2015. We received exceptional reviews from so many of our friends and family members on the overall flow and entertainment that Chris offered for our NYE wedding. Chris was a true pleasure to work with, knowing we were tight on time a few weeks before the wedding, he offered to meet us at our house as it was easier for us.

My fiancé and I completed a quick questionaire and Chris put together the best introduction we could have dreamed of. Chris also offered to use his GoPro to film some of the speeches which we loved and have watched several times. This was a great add-on!

Chris was amazing through the entire process. He met with us a few times before the wedding, and made sure we had everything set and planned out to the smallest detail. The real pleasure was the day of the wedding. He wired us for sound so everyone could hear the ceremony, played all the right songs at all the right times. And the reception, Chris really ran the day. He kept our guests entertained the entire time, he was right there for the bouquet toss, the garter, the cake cutting. Everything we had talked about was precise, and everything in between was right on point, professional, and extremely well done. The music, the announcements, the activities. My husband and I have been to numerous events and weddings that Chris has provided the entertainment for over the past few years, so we completely trusted him. That said, he still stunned us with his thoughtful and unique touches that made our day even more special. To start with, he gave a beautiful and unexpected introduction for our entrance detailing our relationship, engagement, and why we love each other. We were teary-eyed before we even entered the reception. He then surprised us with a recording of a toast from my amazing co-worker who covered my weekend nursing shift so I could attend my wedding. I had told him I wanted to toast her at the wedding and he went above and beyond, reaching out to her on Facebook to have her record her touching toast to us. When I came back to work that week, everyone had heard about it and wanted his contact information! These were just a few of the ways he made the reception special.

As for the actual music, his mixes got everyone quickly on the dance floor (including my crazy Dad, who literally tore up the dance floor all night). Many of my guests commented on the great mix of music he played. I left that all up to him because, as I said, I've seen him work a lot and I know he's an expert at creating a fun experience for the guests. Anyone who didn't know him before wanted his number.

I just can't say enough about our experience with Chris. He's professional, creative, and brings so much more than just playing music to the table. If you want a unique, personalized, and truly memorable experience, he is definitely your man! I will never forget those moments he created for us.

Words cannot begin to explain our gratitude for Chris and his presence at our wedding. He was honestly one of the biggest reason it went off without a hitch! In the Blizzard of 2016 with 60 mph winds, 9+ ft waves, flooding, rain and snow - Chris was there! Although over half of our guests were unable to get there - Chris made it - and created a party for the brave individuals who showed up! We ended up having a blast - I don't think I left the dance floor for more than 5 minutes! Hands down - without a doubt - we will all use Chris in the future, and I would recommend him to ANYONE!!!!! I am so glad we met Chris at the Grand Hotel in March. We heard a mix he did while attending the tasting and knew he was the DJ for our wedding! From the time we met Chris he was unbelievable! He is incredibly organized and his attention to detail is superb! It felt like he knew us, our families and the wedding party for years. He incorporated the holiday theme in the music selections at dinner and had people out on the dance floor from mid-dinner through the end of the night! He catered to every age group at the wedding from the grandparents to the toddlers and we could not have been happier to have shared our day with him.

Unknowing to myself and the groom, Chris had car troubles on the way down and somehow still made it to Cape May in time and you would have never even known! I cannot thank Chris enough for his professionalism, attention to detail and enthusiasm leading up to the wedding and that night! Our guests had the time of their life all thanks to you and your talents! THANK YOU!

Chris did a great job DJing our wedding. He not only DJ'ed the wedding, he provided a signature lighting feature, recorded the ceremony for us, and did an extremely impressive introduction of me and my husband. Chris is nothing but professional. He was easy to get in contact with and was also very responsive. We had a few last minute changes which Chris didn't bat an eye to. Our dance floor stayed pretty full the entire evening. He was very agreeable with playing anything we want to hear. We would definitely recommend Chris's services for a wedding or any grand event! Chris Marx is an awesome DJ and an equally awesome person. He was very cool and casual while still maintaining a level of professionalism during the wedding planning and during the wedding itself. Chris made sure everyone was on the same page every step of the way during the wedding planning. The website to pick your music is VERY easy to use and organize your music choices. My wife and I really enjoyed that he came to our house during the planning and kept us in the loop leading up to our wedding day. During the wedding, Chris was fun and friendly with all the guests. He gauged the crowd and knew when to speed things up or slow them down. He kept his talking to a minimum and didn't interfere with the natural atmosphere of the dance floor. He knew when to be a DJ and and when to be an MC. Great guy. Would Recommend!

Chris did such an amazing job at our wedding lastnight. All of our guest were telling us that we had the best dj at any wedding they have ever been to. Tony and I could not have asked for a more helpful, professional and fun dj. Chris helped us so much when we had a venue crisis 3 Weeks before our wedding. Chris was our MC/DJ on the most important day of our lives. Not only is Chris one of my best friends but he is by far the best in his business. Although we've been friends for a long time, he treated me more like family. He took the time to sit and listen to our wants and needs for the big day. He kept the dance floor moving ( which is tough with our families) and the fluency of the music was outstanding. We had so many compliments about Chris the night of our wedding. Several of our guests actually asked for his number to attain his services. Chris also caught our ceremony on video which was an amazing surprise since we didn't have a videographer. Thank you so much for everything! The music was great, ceremony was so clear everyone heard it all, and the babies in the wedding (my 2 year old niece in particular) danced the entire night. I believe there was even a temper tantrum thrown when she was told she had to stop so she could go to bed. :)

Chris was very flexible with when he could meet with us,because my husband and i have such busy schedues. He was very accomodating to all of our needs. All of our guests had a blast! When considering the most important aspects of our wedding day, entertainment came in at the top of the list. We knew we wanted to find a DJ with a great personality who could keep everyone entertained and having a great time. Chris was such an integral part in ensuring that all of our guests had a great time at our wedding, and that my husband and I had a memorable and enjoyable time as well. Absolutely fantastic! We met twice before the wedding and ent over everything and he had a few GREAT suggestions that I wouldn't have thought of. I felt so comfortable the day of knowing he was handling everything. I never had to second guess anything. The music selection was fantastic. The tent lighting was perfect and totally enhanced the mood. And the monogram-- perfect! He actually did two of them, and switched them halfway through the night. During dinner we played a few games with the guests and it was so much fun. It kept everyone engaged and interested so there wasn't too much of a lull. I can't say enough fabulous things about Chris. Chris was an awesome DJ for our wedding! He was very easy to work with, reliable, and really flexible with what songs we wanted played/not played. He's excellent at reading the crowd. I had asked him to play a couple trance songs that I know only a handful of people at the wedding would enjoy, and he managed to sprinkle them in at just the right time and still play plenty of music that everyone liked. We decided on the fly to do the Hora and he had no problem queuing up the song to run right after the current one. When our officiants told us last minute they'd like to be mic'ed, a brief call to Chris was all that was needed to add that to our package. We're really glad we decided to use Chris as our wedding DJ and would definitely recommend him to all our friends and family!

The place we had our wedding liked him so much they hired him as their Holiday employee party entertainer. Don’t pass up the opportunity to use Chris Marx Entertainment. It sure was entertaining!!

Chris was a great DJ/MC at our wedding. He was was professional in appearance, attitude, and performance. He was flexible and receptive to our needs as well as what we imagined our wedding day to be. Chris is very knowledgeable about his business and knows how to ensure a good time for all. He can work the crowd and listens to what is important for a bride/groom on their special day. Thank you Chris for making our day day special. We had a great time and so did everyone else. We would not hesitate to have Chris host any events we may have in the near future. Bess & Scott

Look.no.further...Chris is EXCEPTIONAL! Nother only did he listen to our requests and concerns, he went above and beyond. He got our entire party dancing-yes almost 175 ppl up at the same time which is no easy task. He engaged our guests, provided humor with his presentation, played an excellent array of music, kept the venue on the precise schedule I wanted to ensure the most possible dance time AND his lighting decor was tasteful and elegant. Chris's prices were also extremely competitive. YOU WILL NOT WANT TO PASS ON HIS SERVICES!!!
