Chris is the BEST! We HIGHLY recommend!
My husband and I couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Chris as the photographer and videographer for our wedding.
Chris is an incredible artist and the photos from our wedding are STUNNING. We are floored by how beautiful they are --- they truly look like they're from a high-end bridal magazine that I would look at and dream about as little girl.
I appreciated how Chris made sure he got the shot, but then took risks and tried creative ideas that turned out better than I could have ever imagined. The photos and videos are pieces of art that we will treasure forever. Chris did a fabulous, fabulous job.
Not only did Chris deliver high-end, high-quality photos & videos, but he was an absolute joy to be with on our wedding day. Something people may not realize is that your photographer will be with you throughout every moment of your wedding day. The photographer's energy is incredibly important as it can impact the tone of the group. Chris is incredibly professional, but has a super fun and vibrant energy. Not only did my husband and I enjoy being with him, but our bridal party and guests did as well.
Chris was professional, responsive, accommodating - literally everything you could want from a wedding vendor. On top of all of that, the work he delivers is exquisite.
We would hire him again and again and again - we highly recommend! -

Chris was the first vendor I ever followed on social media after my engagement. I immediately knew that I wanted to use him for my wedding. With all the stressors of planning a wedding, I was never once stressed about the photography because I had so much confidence in his work. When the wedding day came, I found out that I was more than correct! He was so cool, calming, and confident on the day of. Our guests asked about him because they wanted to follow him and be friends with him lol. Our family members commented on how great he was. He was a hit all around. Once we started seeing his preview shots we immediately knew our decision was the right one. Looking at our full album makes me so incredibly happy. Everything was captured so well, I have zero regrets and could not recommend Chris more! I can guarantee you’ll be happy with your decision. My husband and I still consider him a friend to this day. We love Chris and will cherish the photos forever! -

Hiring Chris as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made! A photographer doesn’t just create memorable pictures - they are responsible for SO much of the energy and the vibe that day. The quality of Chris’ pictures are unmatched and that’s reason enough to hire him, but he is also the most creative, friendly, and supportive photographer I’ve ever met. Best experience ever!
Choosing the right photographer to photograph your wedding is probably one of the most important decisions. I'm not a person who writes reviews on a regular basis, but our daughter's wedding was so special that I just had to let everyone searching for a wedding photographer know how AMAZING Chris is. I wish I could post every one of the pictures he took, but there isn't enough space for that! Chris is truly an artistic genius. He captured each and every moment with creativity and perfection. Chris made everyone feel at ease especially my daughter and son-in-law. He was great with our 2 1/2 year old grandson and was able to capture the most amazing pictures of him that I will always cherish. He was so professional, yet playful in a way that made everyone feel comfortable and have fun. Everyone always dreads doing the family pics after the ceremony because they don't want to miss the party. Chris was so organized, he photographed both families in a timely manner so that the bride and groom could enjoy the last portion of the cocktail party. The twilight pictures were just over the top! We couldn't believe how fast we got the previews and the entire gallery. I can't recommend Chris enough. You won't regret your decision. He was worth every penny and more! -

Having Chris & his team capture our wedding day was truly a dream. Making sure we chose the right photographer was one of the most important decisions to us & was definitely the decision we were most most stressed about - we wanted to get it right! From the initial phone call we had upon meeting Chris, we knew he was (with 100% certainty) the one for us. Chris was so personable and easy to talk to. He shared a ton of great advice & we actually drew a lot of inspiration for the wedding from that initial conversation. From that phone call on, we felt such relief & were nothing but excited about having Chris capture our day!
On the day of the wedding, all of our guests were so impressed with the team's energy, guidance and talent. They were such a fun yet professional group. Chris was so comforting & was everything we needed in each and every moment.
Both our love & the entire essence of our wedding was so beautifully captured. We have photos that we've always dreamed of & will cherish them forever. We researched the best photographers in Maui and quickly realized Chris and his team were the best. We asked him to take our engagement photos in San Francisco last minute and he was super cooperative and scheduled us in! I was super nervous and awkward about taking pictures but he was so easy going, funny, upbeat, and made us feel comfortable right away. At the wedding, he was so good at helping everything run smoothly and our parents and bridal party couldn't stop raving about our photographers. We're so thankful and happy Chris was our photographer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! -

We had such an amazing experience with Chris and his team.They were extremely helpful from start to finish, assisting us in getting ready, giving direction and making us feel very comfortable and special on our wedding day. They are extremely professional, experienced, and fun to work with. Our guests even raved about them. The preview pictures we’ve seen so far are out of this world amazing and captures moments in detail that words can’t express. My mother could not attend my wedding and when she saw the preview pics she called back crying with how beautiful and amazing they were. That right there speaks for itself. Chris took our elopement photos in Maui. He was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. He has an upbeat, positive attitude and really takes any nerves away from the process. Chris has an amazing energy and enthusiasm for his work. You can really feel his passion for photography and genuine interest and enjoyment of the couples he works with. Along with this energy comes a flare for the dramatic in photos, and really captures some fantastic, stand out shots on a day when you're looking and feeling your best. It's great to have memories that really showcase us and bring us back to this day. Chris and his team were so much fun to work with. Both our wedding party and multiple guests commented on how much they enjoyed him and his crew. He provided direction and guidance on poses for what makes a great photograph, yet he was also receptive to any specific photos we requested throughout the process. Exquisite Photographs, Wonderful Photographer
Choosing Chris as our wedding photographer elevated what was already the best day of our lives into an exquisite, unforgettable masterpiece. His photos are absolutely breathtaking; he captured who we are at our very best, with jaw-droppingly gorgeous backdrops, poses, and that je ne sais quoi of a true artist’s work. His photos belong on the glossy pages of high fashion magazines; I am continually overwhelmed that I would be featured in them. The photos he took of our wedding are our most prized possessions. When we posted them on social media, we were floored by the overwhelming response and continually told that they were the best wedding photographs our friends and family had ever seen.
In addition to producing the most gorgeous shots we have ever seen, Chris is an absolute joy to work with. He is high energy and upbeat, but he makes you feel comfortable and at ease. You feel as though you’ve nailed every shot, because unlike some photographers he does not force anything, correct you, or micromanage. He also makes you comfortable to try shots you would otherwise balk at-- he took many “fierce” high fashion style photos of us that we originally thought we’d never be able to pull off, but ended up being among our very favorites. His experience and expertise shows when with just a few words, he elicits the most unbelievable shots.
Even if he hadn’t have given us the stunning photos in the world, I would have been so happy to have had him at our wedding day. He is always fun, complimentary, and dressed to the nines (matching your dress code of course). So many wedding guests told us that he was the best photographer they had ever seen.
He has outstanding professionalism, kindness in your every interaction, eagerness to go above and beyond the call of duty, and he returned a simply staggering amount of photos within days of the wedding.
When I mentioned who our photographer was to each of our wedding vendors in the area, they all affirmed what a wonderful choice we had made. Chris has a fantastic reputation. Maybe too good-- after working with him, my bridesmaids and engaged guests are now having trouble choosing a photographer in our hometown of Seattle, because they say that no photographer’s portfolio comes even close to the work Chris did at our wedding.
Choosing Chris will be the absolute best decision for your wedding. I wish I could rate him higher than this website allows! -

My husband and I just got married at the Four Seasons resort in Maui. Chris was on the preferred vendors list, and I’m so glad that he is the photographer that we chose. Most importantly, he is an amazing person who really adds to your wedding day. He knows how to make you genuinely laugh and smile... which makes for a much better picture.
His photography skills are unparalleled. We were so amazed when we saw the pictures that he sent us of our wedding day. He captured all of the things that we were feeling that day so that we could remember it forever ( and share with our families)

The longer review: After choosing Haiku Mill as our venue in Maui, Chris was the first vendor my husband and I booked for our wedding on June 20th 2019. We were impressed by the elegance and beauty of Chris’ images and knew we had to go with him. Our wedding coordinator advised us that photographers (and especially those on Maui) book up quickly so we secured our date about a year out. During the time leading up to our wedding, I followed Chris on social media and continued to be impressed by his work. On the day of our wedding, we had so much fun working with him. How could we not? He’s easygoing and we shared quite a few laughs together. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and Chris was part of that. While it was important to have beautiful images that we will cherish forever, it was equally as important to have someone as engaging, passionate and enthusiastic as him. Chris delivered on all fronts. After the wedding, we received a teaser image less than 24 hours later and a large preview gallery a few hours after that (which was amazing! How many wedding photographers do that?). Thanks once again Chris for being a one-of-a-kind photographer and person…we loved working with you!

Chris is the BEST!
Chris and Dane(his assistant) did such an amazing job photographing our wedding day! My husband(Mitch) and I got ready in separate rooms for the morning and afternoon, so I had Chris shoot the getting ready shots, and Dane shot Mitch's getting ready shots. Mitch said he really liked Dane and I couldn't be happier with how their photos turned out. He posted the guys so we'll, such frame worthy photos! While I was getting ready with my ladies, Chris was capturing my beauty moments, my jewlery and details, and then came time for me in my dress! I am not someone who takes photos that well. I have one pose and the same smile/ head tilt for ever photo I have ever taken. I told Chris ahead of time he will have to help a bit and told him my "good side" is my left (which he kept in mind for the rest of the day)haha. He made everyone feel so comfortable and like we were all having fun. He helped/directed me with ease into the most stunning poses in my dress and the rest of the day! One of my favorite things while getting ready was the view I had! And without even telling Chris, he captured the image I still have in my mind of the beautiful ocean and my ceremony being set up below us. He made sure to tell me a head of time where he wanted me to look, and what to do when we were coming down the isle to get that "money shot" of the most celebratory "we just got married" photo. Afterwards was family photos and then the night went on as planned. Within a day we had four of some of the best photos sent to us as "teasers". And then more a day after our second day shoot. I HIGHLY recommend the second day shoot!!! We picked two days after, which I would suggest if you can, so you have the next day to relax and recouped from your wedding. We decided on the second day shoot package so we could have more time with our guests, and get more beautiful photos like the ones he has on his Instagram! One of my favorite things of our whole wedding week in Hawaii was this shoot with just Chris and my husband! It was time we had to our selves and he got to capture the best photos we have ever taken! Chris picked the location, beautiful cliff/rock formations with the powerful ocean sprays in the background, two huge sea turtles floating near by, and to finish it off, our epic dancing into the sunset photo. It was truly special. I could not thank Chris enough for making our wedding so memorable, and making us feel and look amazing! -

From the moment I met Chris, I felt like I was overwhelmed with the sense of comfort knowing my wedding day was going to be captured in the most beautiful of ways a girl could dream of... but the day of, I felt every photograph was more, WAY more! Not only is Chris one the most kind and interesting people you will ever meet, he is the ultimate artist when it comes to capturing the most beautiful seconds of time. I’ve only seen a few shots through the camera the day of, but those photos changed my world and blew my mind to the point of happy tears!! Thank you for capturing our day Chris!

Brittany Sent on 09/27/2018Words cannot express how appreciative and thankful we are to have had Chris photograph our wedding in Maui. His portfolio, filled with high-fashion, dramatic shots, caught our eye from the beginning. Chris is incredibly original in his style. He is engaging and professional, making for a very easy-going and fun experience. He brings a level of creativity to wedding photography that we had never seen before, nor imagined was even an option.
Chris was very punctual and made great use of every moment he was on site. From the pre-ceremony shots, detail documentation, ceremony, family shots, reception cake, dinner, and a spectacular waterfront sunset shoot of just the two of us, Chris captured it all…and then some! We are forever grateful for the small moments throughout the day that he was able to capture. With everything going on, we would have never been able to see them otherwise.
We are not the most comfortable couple in front of a camera, but Chris was able to create an environment where we were both relaxed. He always had a vision for what he wanted out of each shot, and was able to clearly communicate what he wanted us to do to make those visions come to life. His work speaks for itself – the effects he achieves with strategic positioning and lighting are breathtaking, and look effortless.
You can tell how experienced Chris is by how well he can blend right into the event. When we were finished taking sunset shots, we hardly notice he was still there, getting great material well through the night.
Besides how easy Chris made the actual wedding day for us, we greatly appreciated that in less than a week he had an entire preview package with a ton of shots for us to see and share with our friends and family. Since our wedding was far from home, all of our friends and family who were unable to make it have been able to feel as though they were there through Chris’s photographs. All of his work has brought so much love and happiness back home. -

People continue to ask us if the photographer used special effects, no that was actual rain on our wedding day and a very creative photographer. Truthfully, at first we were worried because Chris' price is top tier, but we got better photos than we can ever have dreamed of. All of our friends and family have commented on how great our photos turned out and wished they had used someone like Chris. Chris spends the time to get the perfect shot with the perfect backdrop. He doesn't rush anything and is always thinking of creative ideas to get more unique shots. The best thing about Chris that you will not find with anyone else are his surprises. He has something special for the bride and groom that makes his photos one of a kind and will leave a memory of a lifetime. I assume the surprises are different every time, so I don't want to ruin it. Chris even gave up his shoes to my wife to walk on lava when she couldn't do it in her heels. He just went barefoot. If you go with Chris, I guarantee you will not regret it. Additionally Chris is very responsive, always answering questions quickly. Thank you Chris for making it so seamless. We are sad that we can only do it once.

Tamara Sent on 06/27/2018I found Chris almost instantly on social media and knew he was what I wanted. I believe he doesn’t compare to anyone else on the island when it comes to beach photography. From the moment I first reached out, he was extremely accommodating and helpful, not only with what he includes in his packages, but even when it came to ideas of locations and other vendors.
We arrived to the location (a little late- whoops) and he and his assistant started right away. Chris caught me before walking down and made sure my hubby was in place and positioned around the corner of the beach. He shot through our vow exchange and then made sure we got right to it before the sun went down. THIS GUY KNOWS WHAT HE’S DOING! I’m not the easiest to photograph IMO, but he made us feel so comfortable. He knew the beach very well and captured angles I would have never thought of. He is very professional but also kept us laughing and engaged with the party the whole time.
When it comes to a photographer during our elopement, my husband was hesitant and didn’t really understand the need or my want. In the middle of our session, he looked at me and goes, “I’m so glad we did this and I’m so glad we went with him!”
Chris has the 5 star rating for a reason! He is everything you could ever imagine a good photographer could be! -

Chelsea Sent on 06/27/2018Planning a wedding from afar is always a challenge and anxious experience but when you work with the perfect vendors it becomes a dream.
I'm originally from Oahu, Hawaii but now living in Los Angeles, California. The decision to get married back in the islands was an easy one for us.
We picked all of our vendors without meeting them in person and after doing our research we truly fell in love with Chris's artistic style. The fact that he was so comfortable to work with was just the icing on the cake.
My now Husband and I are not used to being photographed and probably extremely awkward in front of the camera but Chris truly made it fun and easy for us. Literally everyone at the wedding enjoyed him and are blown away by his work.
It's hard to find both talent and personality but Chris and his team seem to have it all.
We already know this will not be the only time we work with him. We are thrilled he is open to travel and can't wait for our next shoot on Venice Beach! MAHALO NUI LOA CHRIS! -

A direct quote from my husband “if he’s not a five star, than I don’t know what is.” Chris had amazing suggestions for us throughout the day including a stop on the way from the Haiku Mill back to the reception at our hotel to capture some breathtaking pictures on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Both my husband Chris and I feel thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris and his team.
Within a day or two of shooting our wedding Chris had a few sneak peek pictures to us and within a week a very large sneak peek! I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures! Everything that I’ve seen so far has been nothing short of fantastic! We’ve had multiple people comment that they need to be on the cover of a magazine. Chris is the real deal, we really could not have hoped for anything better as such a special day was captured for us!

I personally hate getting my picture taken but Chris and his team actually made it FUN and you sort of forgot you were even taking pictures. Rob Sent on 03/31/2015Chris was amazing. We knew we wanted him for our wedding from the moment we saw his work on his website. Other photographers we looked online seemed to showcase work that was "nice", but was lacking something. Chris captures the emotion, and the soul of the day.
Planning a destination wedding was stressful enough, we didn't want the worry about it we had the right photographer. We had a couple of video chats with Chris, and exchanged countless emails. When we arrived on Maui, Chris met with us for a coffee to talk about the big day, and put any concerns we had at ease.
On the day, he was a true professional. He kept the balance of allowing us to enjoy our time with friends and family, with doing what he needed to get the shots that we will be looking at for the rest of our lives.
Chris isn't a photographer. He's a passionate artist. We couldn't have asked for a better photographer!
