We had the most amazing wedding and cannot thank Chris enough for the fantastic job he did. He was really kool to work with and very serious about his job. Chris and his team were exceptional! He was very attentive to the type/styles of photos we wanted, as well as gave us lots of direction! Best photographer in Jamaica!
We went to a Sandals resort for our wedding in Oct 2022. I ended up being very sick most of our stay, and the day of our wedding. Luckily we had an amazing photography team that was incredibly patient and also happened to still make me look beautiful in my wedding photos regardless of how I actually felt. Christopher captured all the beautiful moments of my big day, some moments I would have never thought to capture. Extremely kind people to work with. They actually do care about your big day! If you’re trying to find THE photographer, this is your sign! I would hire them 10x over if I had to!

I will recommend Chris Colyard in a heartbeat!! His eye for detail and his ability to capture all the emotions of our beautiful day make him stand out.
Chris is the definition of professional and talented. He was quite responsive throughout our time working together. He put us at ease during our initial consultation and we immediately felt comfortable with him - he asked all the right questions - about our venue, our personalities, his point of contact for the wedding day, important dynamics that he'd need to know; he showed pictures of events that he'd shot at our venue and gave advice about things to expect (on the wedding day, at the venue etc) and shoot ideas. He gave recommendations for other vendors when asked
Neither my husband nor I feel very comfortable in front of the camera, but Chris was an absolute gem - he gave suggestions, directed our poses, his jovial, down to earth nature had us laughing and brought out our natural chemistry.
Chris was early for both our engagement and wedding day and he got straight to work. He utilized his time properly. We had a late afternoon wedding, so he had to make the most of our time with the sun. If he was ever panicking about timing, he never let it show to us! He is a dream to have around. He managed our excited guests and family well and allowed us to have our gorgeous shoot.
He gave teasers of pics in a timely manner and we were satisfied with the pics we got when our albums were ready - and they were worth the wait!!!! I've sent multiple voice notes squealing my thanks and expressing my praise.
I really appreciate how patient he was with my bridesmaids and I and how he captured all the intimate moments of our wedding day without it feeling like he was being intrusive.
We have the best memories to look back on, as the pictures transport us right back to all the feels of the day.

Our first experience with Chris Colyard Photography was with an engagement photoshoot. That photo session was such a wonderul and invaluable experience, so we had to book him for our wedding ceremony.
Chris and his team were punctual and got straight to work upon meeting us at our separate locations. He made sure we were comfortable, and effortlessly kept the positive atmosphere in the room ensuring that excitement was on a high. Throughout the ceremony and reception, they worked speedily to capture priceless moments.
During the formal photos, he made sure everyone was comfortable and never out of a pose for the camera.
We are truly satisfied with our pictures.

From the moment we started the conversation with Chris about doing our wedding I was impressed. Journey to the alter with The Edwards
Chris was not the photographing service we initially planned on using. He however changed that at a bridal expo 2we attended last year with his warmth and personality. We felt comfortable in every shot done with him. A highlight of our wedding day was how great he was with the kids in having them stay relaxed. His professionalism was beyond that of anyone we have ever done business with. His team also compliments him.🤗

He took picturesque shots
Chris takes pride in his craft. He thinks carefully about each shot and is very meticulous. He knew all the right shots to take. The way he positioned us to stand was amazing. You can see the love in every shot. So many people asked us who took our photographs because they are amazing. The pictures are so clean and flawless. You can see every detail in the pictures. Also, while doing the shoot he told us what to do and not to do. He didn't miss a shot. When we got the wedding photos we were so surprised at some of the shots he got. We got beautiful pictureque photographs. Chris is the best!! He is worth every penny & more. By the way, the album had me blushing and mommy was in tears. She couldn't stop talking about how lovely it is. The album weights about 5 lbs, the pages are thick and the pictures are beyond beautiful.

Perfect timing
The folks at Chris Colyard Photography were very professional and always responsive. We decided not to use a wedding planner and do it all ourselves. And of course, we ran into a lot of issues with the wedding planning process (including a last minute change of venue and missing day-of coordinator). However, Chris and his team was extremely well prepared and went above and beyond. The shoot before and after the ceremony was well coordinated and very efficient, making great use of what little sunlight we had after the ceremony ran late. We met with Chris at the venue a few days before the wedding to get a feel of poses we liked and simulate the entire process, which made things so easy on the big day. Last but certainly not least, our photo album was simply amazing! He sent us over a sample album and a few days later we had our finished album. We will relive that wonderful day with this album for years to come. We are very grateful to Chris and the team, their contribution was critical in making our day a special one.

It's quite refreshing when a service provider offers excellent customer service and that is exactly what Chris Colyard's Photography exhibits. From the initial vendor sourcing stage prior to our big day Chris had stood out amongst several vendors due to his ability to efficiently convey the huge responsibility of being our wedding photographer and his pleasure to be entrusted with such task.
Upon the first meeting i knew his company was the one !! Base on his level of experience and "my gut instinct "....Fast forward to our engagement shoot i was double convinced we're in great hands for our wedding but never would i had imagined the huge role Chris would have taken on to ensure we had a great wedding!
His professionalism is second to none!! He went above the call of duty by ensuring aspects of our wedding were fixed so as to ensure he got the perfect shots!...In wedding planning there is something that will go wrong and in true fashion it did but there was Chris offering his assistance to ensure we had a great wedding day!

Artistic, Reliable, Professional! Would hire Chris again in a heartbeat!
When our daughter decided she was going to have a destination wedding in Negril, Jamaica at Couples Swept Away, we knew we wanted to hire a great photographer to capture the event but since we had never been there, we were at the mercy of doing Google searches, reading other reviews, visiting photographer's websites, and communicating via email. First off I will say the Chris' email communication was quick and professional and he was quicker to respond than everyone else, even if it meant he did not have an adequate answer yet, he would at least acknowledge that he received my email and would get back to me shortly. And each time, he kept his word and got back to me with the information we needed. We were already impressed with his portfolio on his website and many others gave him great reviews too so we were thrilled when we learned he was available for the event date in January 2019. What we did not know at the time was that he lived 4 hours away from the property and he never once made that an issue for us, nor did he try to inflate his price.
On the day of the wedding, Chris arrived a couple of hours prior to the event to gain access to the property with his lovely wife and photography assistant, all of whom were incredibly wonderful and warm and welcoming people. it is really nice to feel reassured on a high stress day like this that everything was under control as Chris moved with confidence and maintained a smile the entire day.
To say the quality of his photography was amazing just feels like it does not do it justice. As someone who has worked with professional commercial photographers for 2 decades in the USA, I have had the opportunity to meet and become friends with many award winning photographers; and I must tell you that Chris vision, his skill, his integrity, his engaging personality we right up there with the best of the best. The portraits were nothing short of the most outstanding quality. To this day, looking back on those photos brings us right back to the magic of the moment and brings tears to our eyes.
Thank you Chris and team for capturing these memories for us and making it such a successful dream wedding.

I grew up in Jamaica and migrated to the United States at age 10. I have a few elderly relatives that still resides in Jamaica but no one to assist me in locating the resources needed for my wedding. After searching the web, I came Chris Colyard Photography. Pictures looked great but i was still afraid to reach out based on experience and pricing from other photographers. I however reached out to Chris for pricing. He responded to my email very promptly and his pricing were very affordable. I was very excited to see the pictures Chris would produced for my Wedding.
The experience started out once I arrived in Jamaica, Chris contacted me to check in and check our availability. We scheduled pre- wedding photo's which due to my hectic schedule was re-scheduled.
On the day of my wedding it also turned out to be very hectic due to my wedding planner. My day that i dreamt of was looking like just a dream. Chris and is wife jumped into action to make suggestions, get everyone organized, communicated with my wedding planner which decrease the amount of stress I felt. I was very grateful to work with the entire team of professional, kind hearted and honest people.
The quality of the pictures i received was great, lighting and set up was priceless. I returned home very excited to share my pictures with everyone.
I will use Chris again and would recommend that you check out the website and his work. He is a great Photographer and great person to work with. I promise he will not disappoint.

I would choose Chri 10x over. He made my wedding experience an unforgettable one. Going above and beyond to not only ensure I had awesome pictures but that I also enjoyed the moment.

My experience with Chris and his team was amazing and beyond perfect. He had all the qualities I wanted in a photographer on my wedding day. He was patient, professional, creative and kept me calm and relaxed when nerves came over me. Had a local photographer who was supposed to cover our entire wedding day and the day before informed us that they could only cover 4-5 hours due to a “situation.” I immediately started looking for a replacement. I messaged my DJ Big J Entertainment and explained the situation. He said sure give me a few minutes. Within 10 minutes he let me know that Chris would be calling. He did, inquired about our expectations and budget. He sent us links to his work. Just like that he was booked. He and his wife arrived early to scope the resort out for the different shots requested. They captured everything we asked for plus those we didn’t. We received a sneak peak of about 40 pictures two days later and they were AMAZING!!! The remaining were promised 2 weeks later and they were delivered on time!!! The remaining photos were just as amazing as the sneak peaks. Neither of us are photogenic and they made sure we posed perfect for every single picture. It was a blessing in disguise that the other photographer cancelled. We hands down recommend Chris Colyard Photography!!!

I couldn’t have asked for anyone else but Chris to be my photographer on my wedding day and for my engagement shoot. Very easy to work with. Absolutely loves his job and the passion is revealed in the way he is committed to what he does. Enjoyed working with him. The quality of the pictures was first class. Chris Colyard is simply amazing. He did both our engagement shoot and the wedding. He is very fun and easy to work with but at the same time he maintains his professionalism. He worked along with our budget while ensuring that we still get valuable service and product. Chris is not restricted to just being a photographer, but he goes over and above for his clients, ensuring that he adds value to their day. I remember on my wedding day, like most brides, I started getting flustered and worried. One of my concerns was that close to starting some key persons did not receive their corsages and boutonnieres. Chris quickly and easily volunteered to retrieve them from where they were being stored and went to give each person that should have one. He lost no photo-op by doing this deed as his assistant was there capturing the moments. There are many other instances to share from that day...but I will end by saying that I highly recommend Chris Colyard Photography for any photography needs.

Chris was truly a great photographer. He brought ideas to us and you could see that he fed off the energy of my partner and I. One thing that truly stood out to me was that he introduced himself to every person he photographed. They were not just subjects to photograph, they were individuals that he wanted to engage with and honestly get to know. That truly meant a lot to me. But be warned, he is gonna ensure he gets every shot, so be ready to smile for hours. But that shouldn't be hard, it is your big day after all.
