Mary's photos of our wedding were absolutely beautiful! My husband and I shared them with our friends and families and they are blown away. One of the comments we’ve heard over and over has been how perfectly she captured authentic moments throughout the night. There are photos I’ve seen bring back memories we had already forgotten or not fully appreciated as they were happening. Her editing style is beautiful. I can't thank Chocolate Paper Studios enough for being part of our wedding day.
We hired Mary alongside her husband, Chad, with Perfect Day DJ and they are both extremely talented at what they do. Having a DJ and photographer that work with one another so seamlessly was a better experience than we could have wished for. Weeks before the wedding Mary provided a very detailed timeline for the day with room for any suggestions, changes, or personalization. The flow of our wedding was perfect. We had so many compliments on how well the night was organized thanks to Mary and her husband.

Amazing experience!
Mary was fantastic to work with. We’d never had professional pictures and really didn’t know what we were doing or what to expect. She was a HUGE help every step of the way and made the process easy and fun. Communication was fantastic and the time line she made for us kept everything on track. Our pictures turned out better than we could have imagined. From formal photos to candids and shots from the dance floor she perfectly captured the fun and memorable wedding we want to look back on 50 years from now. We also had Mary’s husband Chad (Perfect Day DJ’s) as our DJ and working with a couple who work so well together made the experience even better! -

Mary did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding photos. We had the pleasure of first meeting Mary in March for our engagement photos. Mary made communication very easy and was quick to respond to emails. She had lots of great recommendations for places to get pictures for our engagement and our wedding. She was very accommodating to any changes that needed to be made and talked about plans for bad weather (Luckily, we had great weather for both).
We had so much fun for our engagement shoot! Me and my husband are definitely not naturals when it comes to photo shoots, but Mary helped us relax and be ourselves. She made our experience feel very personalized and fun!
Leading up to the big day, Mary stayed in touch and set up phone meetings to help plan our photography timeline for the day. The whole process was very smooth. We did not have a wedding planner, so it was great to have everything planned in advance.
Mary (and second photographer, Kendall) did such an amazing job capturing our entire wedding day and taking absolutely beautiful wedding photos! Mary let the magic happen and captured so many beautiful candid photos in addition to our amazing portraits. We didn’t even realize Mary was capturing many of the ones that she did, but we are so glad we have them. She captured everything from getting ready, to the first look, ceremony, and reception. They also helped with any extra things (such as helping me bustle my dress) - such a blessing!
We could not have asked for a better photographer to go with for our wedding. Mary truly knows how to capture your special moments! -

Mary and her team are amazing to work with! She produces the best wedding photos and is a great person to be around. She has a nice balance of taking control of a situation when/if needed but is also able to hang in the background to capture all of the candid moments. You are getting more than a photographer when you hire Mary and her team. I can't wait to use her for any of our photo needs in the future. Thank you Mary for all your hard work and the beautiful pictures that we will cherish forever -

Mary was the best photographer and bride or groom could ask for. She was so welcoming, helpful, and organized. She first took our engagement shoot, and the pictures turned out great. I had no idea where I wanted to go and she made suggestions. As for the day of the wedding, Mary was flexible to work with our schedule since we had some changes due to weather. She had a very calming presence during the change from Plan A to Plan B, which is the best thing any bride planning the wedding could have asked for. I cannot recommend her enough! If you want someone experienced, easy to work with, helpful, organized, goes above and beyond, and more, Mary/Chocolate Paper studios is it! It was also very helpful to have her husband (Perfect Day DJs) be a part of of our day as well. They both helped plan and work with our wedding day schedule. -

Mary is exceptional. She is amazing at her craft and has an amazing teammate in her second shooter, Katie, who worked with us on our wedding. I cannot imagine ever going to another photographer for pictures. She did both our engagement and wedding photos and I think it’s safe to say she’ll be the first photographer on our list for any future needs. We love you, Mary! -

This was the second wedding in my family where Mary was our photographer (with Pam as her assistant), and we can’t recommend her enough! First, she is so kind, fun, and supportive. She responded quickly to communication, and it was easy to feel comfortable posing in front of her. Our friends and family also enjoyed the nice preview and day-of posts on her social media pages. She was very open to our ideas and preferences in photos, and has tons of great and creative ideas of her own. Our engagement photos were stunning, and she did a great job corralling large family group shots at the wedding. Photography was an area that we felt stressed about, but from early communication, to timeline management, through all the details on the Big Day, Mary made the whole experience stress-free and fun! -

Love pictures from Chocolate Paper Studios
I am so glad we found Mary and Chocolate Paper Studios through her husband's Perfect Day DJ's site! She was so responsive and let us look at past albums to get an idea of what to expect. She set up a Zoom call for us to meet and ask any and all questions we had. She did our engagement photos and she was so amazing. I wanted someone that would tell us how to pose, where to go next, etc. and she was perfect! She definitely knows what she's doing and knows where to get the best shot. She is also open to any ideas that you may have, so come with pictures! She was very responsive via email to any questions we had and made sure to have a final call the week of the wedding to make sure we had all of our shots figured out. She also has a form you fill out that goes over everything you could think of for pictures on your wedding day.
During the wedding day, her and her second photographer were right on time and were amazing getting everything done. We have so many amazing pictures and a nice slideshow she set to music that we can always look at. We can't stop smiling when we look at the pictures and relive our day. Thanks so much Mary!! -

Chocolate paper studios was FABULOUS!
Mary and her second phorographer Rachel were a PLEASURE to work with! We had a picture perfect wedding day and I have no doubt in my mind that they are a big part of that! With the rain that was predicted, Mary was super knowledgeable in suggesting adorable places for pictures outside that were covered. She responded to my 10,000 emails asking questions so quickly and just made us feel so incredibly comfortable from the time we booked her, through our engagement session, and the wedding. The sneak peak we got is amazing, and we can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures! Definitely book Chocolate Paper studios for all your wedding needs, you won’t be disappointed! If you want to really do it the right way, book the “Perfect Day with Chocolate On Top” package and get her husband Chad as a DJ. Seriously this family exceeded all expectations! :) -

I would wholeheartedly recommend Mary and Chocolate Paper Studios to anyone out there looking for a phenomenal photographer to capture their special event. We stumbled upon Mary and Chocolate Paper Studios while meeting with her husband Chad for Perfect Day DJ services and we are so thankful that meeting occurred. Mary was so warm and friendly and made us both feel comfortable from the start. We were both nervous about the photography side of things as neither of us really feel comfortable in front of a camera. However, after just the first few minutes of the engagement photo session, we were having a blast. Mary made it all feel so natural and encouraged us to be ourselves and have fun with it. We were blown away when we received the pictures afterward. The angles and lighting were beautiful and some of the little details she focused on were just perfect. We were so excited to work with her again for the big day and she went above and beyond expectations. She and Tiffany, her second shooter, were such a pleasure to work with. They were organized and efficient while still being laid back, open to silly suggestions, and so much fun to work with. They felt like part of the family that day. I can not express in words just how AMAZING the wedding photos turned out...they are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING and looking through them is like reliving the best day of my life. I know I'll be contacting her again if we ever need a photographer -

I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT MARY AND STEPHANIE! Mary was an absolute wonder to work with from the beginning of our wedding planning process. Leading up to the wedding she was so helpful and willing to answer any questions that I had (and there were a lot of them!). Planning a wedding while in medical school and out of town made some things a little difficult, however, when I asked Mary for suggestions on vendors she was on top of it and had amazing suggestions! After Mary took our engagement pictures, we knew we had made the perfect choice. As a couple who is very camera shy, she made it feel natural and just encouraged us to have fun and enjoy the moment. At points during our engagement pictures and wedding we gave Mary free reign on pictures she wanted to take, and they have turned out absolutely gorgeous. She was also very knowledgeable of various locations for pictures, and we relied on her experience with absolutely stunning results. We loved her so much that I actually booked a family session with my family the day before the wedding! The day of the wedding Mary and Stephanie were just amazing, from making sure that my hair was out of my face, fluffing my dress, and making sure I was comfortable standing for long periods of times for pictures. They played a very vital part in making my day as perfect as it was. I would 100% recommend using Mary and her team for your big day, they did an amazing job and I can’t wait to use them again in the future! Also, if you are still looking for a DJ we suggest booking the package that includes DJ service from Perfect Day DJs! The chemistry and teamwork that Mary and Chad have is phenomenal! -
