Contacted Abbey based on a recommendation from our wedding planner, and couldn't be any happier. From our first meeting we knew she was going to be our choice. She made the whole process so easy. The invitations are beautiful. We would recommend Chips and Salsa Designs to any couple planning their wedding. Abbey was so amazing to work with and the invitations came out beautiful and exactly how I wanted them to! I found her via Etsy while searching for wedding invitations and upon first contacting her she got back to me right away. She was super responsive throughout the whole process and everything got done in such a timely manner! I wanted to customize one of her design and she was so helpful in having me plan out exactly how I wanted it to look. The invites came out absolutely beautiful! I will definitely be going back to her with any paper needs I'll need in the future.Abbey was so amazing to work with and the invitations came out beautiful and exactly how I wanted them to! Abbey did our wedding program board, seating chart and table numbers. I could not have been any happier or more in love with her work! I gave her our wedding invitation suite from Minted.com and she matched everything, all the way down to the exact font PERFECTLY! She was flexible and quick to update quotes as I had to scratch and add items based on our remaining wedding budget. She is so personable; I would recommend her solely based on her personality if I could! In hindsight I wish we would have had her quote us ALL of our wedding paper items including invitations before purchasing online… I have a feeling her price would have been very competitive and she would have provided a seamless and stress free experience in comparison. She is fantastic and you could not go wrong using her services!!Abbey did our wedding program board, seating chart and table numbers. I could not have been any happier or more in love with her work! We randomly ran into Abbey while at a print shop discussing Wedding Invitations. I instantly liked everything on her blog and her warm personality and enthusiasm instantly sold us. Her pricing was competitive with online sites such as Minted and Wedding Paper Divas, only you get a customized invitation. She took examples of invitations we liked and customized something for us that we loved. She was super responsive to changes, proof comments, and email communications. I had her digitally print our envelope addresses and they looked great and were a great economic alternative to calligraphy. Abbey at Chips & Salsa did all of the paperwork for our wedding - Save the Dates, invitations, programs, table numbers, escort cards, menus, etc - she created such a cohesive feel and really helped us set the creative tone. She is so talented and committed to her work and also so delightful to work with! She made the creative process so much fun and shared her knowledge so we didn't feel overwhelmed. We would highly recommend Chips & Salsa!

We had our wedding on a local farm just outside of Chicago where the claim to fame is their honeybees and the honey they make. I loved the idea of having a trademark that you found throughout the day, and immediately gravitated towards using a bee, including our invitations. A bee is a rarity for an invitation, so I searched a LONG time. And then, I found Abbey! What would appear one day on a google search in February but a design that C&S had made for another bride. It was ALMOST exactly what I wanted.
One of the best parts about working with Abbey was her flexibility and her willingness to customize the design, pricing, what packages included to whatever suited our needs. We went through several rounds of proofs where she would provide several options to see what was to our liking, and never a complaint. Abbey abided to all the little tweaks or suggestions, any time I said "What if we..." she showed me how it looked, offered her opinion and ultimately had the attitude of whatever makes you happy in the end. She was fab!
One last note, that REALLY put her the extra mile over. My sister is a calligrapher. I had the invitations mailed to me just so I could vet them as C&S is in Texas, I live in Chicago. I wanted to see my invites before mailing them to my sister in Philadelphia. Well, two weeks goes by after putting them in the mail, and my sister STILL hadn't gotten them. Post Office was useless and couldn't find them. I reached out to Abbey immediately and let her know what had happened. She was AWESOME. She told me to keep calm! She offered to send me the digital file if I wanted to I go try and print them myself OR she offered to reprint and waive the rush order cost. She told me to just take the weekend and let her know how I wanted to move forward. Thankfully, the invites arrived at my sister's and all was well. When I let Abbey know, she told me she had been thinking of me all weekend. I knew she meant it! I wanted something modern for my paper goods and I think Chips & Salsa Designs leans more towards the traditional because it took a LOT of back and forth to get what I wanted.
What I asked for was not anything crazy...it's all the same stuff you've seen a million times on Pinterest and Etsy so I didn't think what I wanted was so off the charts crazy...i just didn't want the typical wedding invitation...you know...cursive...center aligned...ivory paper with black or gold text. If that's your style than I highly recommend Chips & Salsa...her designs are always beautiful but if you think you might want something a little more "Pinterest-y" i would look elsewhere.I wanted something modern for my paper goods and I think Chips & Salsa Designs leans more towards the traditional because it took a LOT of back and forth to get what I wanted.

We had Chips and Salsa print our wedding invitations. I gave poor marks on the quality of service because none of our final changes were made on the actual invitations. After deciding on the final design, we sent our names and addresses over in a spreadsheet, in the format requested. Abbey then sent final invitation proofs that included all of the addresses. We went through every single name and address on the proofs, found 12-15 mistakes (missing zip codes, misspelled street names, etc.), corrected them on the spreadsheet, then sent these to Abbey. Abbey then told us that she would have to update our proofs and send to us the next day for final approval. We spoke to her on the phone and requested that we skip the final approval for the sake of getting the invitations a day or two earlier. She replied that she didn't recommend this due to some changes being missed, but we felt comfortable doing it simply because we were certain that the last spreadsheet we sent over had the correct addresses. Fast forward to actually receiving the invitations (we paid extra for rush delivery, which got them to us in 2 weeks instead of 3 weeks). As we labored over stuffing and stamping all of these invitations, we slowly realized that none of the final changes had been made to the invitations. Luckily, some blank envelopes were included, so we were able to simply print them on our computer. I emailed Abbey yesterday about the fact that none of our changes had been made, and she said that "it is reasons like this that I require my clients to approve anything that goes to print." I assume she is asserting that if we had requested proofs then all of the changes would have been made? Ridiculous. She did apologize, discounted the final invoice, and offered free blank envelopes. And the invitations that turned out correct were quite nice. But we definitely feel like we were taken advantage of by our request to not review the final proofs. We had Chips and Salsa print our wedding invitations.
