We loved working with Jay Congdon at Fourth Estate Audio. He was one of our favorite vendors. Jay was very organized and responsive via email and phone. His rates were also very reasonable and we loved his uplight package, which really added an amazing ambiance to our room. Jay was a great DJ and a great MC. When we requested songs he didn’t have in his library, he made sure to get them for us. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception ran incredibly smoothly because of Jay! -

Best Wedding DJ!
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jay. He did such a fantastic job and helped make the evening unforgettable! The lighting was perfect in the tent and every picture we have been sent so far looks amazing! Dance floor was packed and he matched the music to the vibe perfectly throughout the night! Jay was consistently responsive and supportive throughout our entire wedding planning process. From the moment we signed the contract and began discussing the details, he was diligent in addressing every single question and concern we had. About a week before the wedding, we had a phone call with Jay to finalize event details and our music list. During that conversation, he made us feel at ease, assuring us that there was nothing to worry about. This was a huge relief, especially considering how busy we were preparing for the big day.
While there was a minor issue that arose the day before the wedding concerning the USB drive we provided, which contained the music for the reception, Jay immediately contacted us to resolve any potential problems.
Since we are not professionals when it comes to choosing dance music, we provided Jay with a rough description of our preferred music style and trusted him to take charge of selecting the exact songs. It turned out to be an excellent decision because most of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the music that night. Jay's ability to curate the perfect playlist added an extra layer of joy to our celebration.
It's worth mentioning that our wedding was entirely in Chinese, with some Chinese songs included, and Jay seamlessly incorporated these elements into our celebration. So, don't hesitate to consult with him, even if you're planning a non-English wedding.
As this was our first wedding and Jay was our first DJ :D, we didn't have much to compare or reference. However, Jay's service exceeded our requirements and expectations. He played a significant role in making our special day memorable. -

Not only did our DJ work with us throughout the entire planning process but he was able to change our wedding date last minute after an emergency. He kept the tunes rolling all night! The lighting was beautiful inside and outside of of the lodge. Our night would not have been the same if we didn’t hire Fourth Estate Audio. Our DJ acted as the DJ but also as a coordinator. He kept the party moving and made sure all of the things that we wanted to do were completed.
Great value for the price point! Highly recommend! -

Jay Congdon was an absolutely fantastic DJ in every way.
He is incredibly organized, easy to work with, and provides you with information that is very useful. He's responsive via email and runs a very smooth operation. His forms and song selection platform are easy to use and ensure that your event goes the way you want it to.
He went above and beyond when we needed to change the plans- he was kind, easy to work with, and very helpful. He was also sensitive to pronouncing some hard-to-read names, which for me, was a big plus!
He was an excellent MC for the night, leading us through our events in an organized and exciting way. He is a huge reason our wedding went off without a hitch and I can't thank him enough!

Molly and Boris are a truly inspirational couple. They and their friends are highly trained singers and musicians, and they performed at both their ceremony and reception to enthusiastic applause. Their celebration was a blend of American and Russian tradition. Imagine a group of excellent opera singers on the dance floor singing along with "Bohemian Rhapsody.' This was no ordinary wedding, and it was a treat to be a part of it. -

When we started to plan our out-of-state wedding (in Chicago), we began to realize it was going to to take a lot of research and planning from afar. We had no recommendations or leads on which way to go with a DJ. However, after finding Fourth Estate Audio the search was over. We got in contact with Jay Congdon and he was very responsive to setting up an initial phone call. After that, we were given the opportunity to meet Jay in person and get familiar with his process. Jay’s process was comprehensive, which allowed us to tailor-make our ceremony and reception with songs that were meaningful to us. Additionally, Jay provided us with online sheets to fill out and an online platform to pick out songs for the reception. Then, about a week before the wedding we had a final phone call to make sure we were all on the same page. This level of organization allowed for a seamless transition from one part of the day to the next, and it was a reflection of how we wanted the day to go.
Jay’s execution of the ceremony was flawless and was the perfect representation of our unity. The reception was also a perfect reflection of us bringing two families together to celebrate and dance the night away. Jay kept our guests dancing on the dance floor all night long.
10/10 would recommend!

Stress free and fun!
Jay was a delight to work with prior and during our wedding day. He made everything so easy for us and if I ever had any questions or concerns about anything, he responded right away! He had everyone at our wedding dancing and singing and most importantly he played all of the songs we asked for. Even if he didn't have the song on file he made sure to get it. We used the uplighting that he provided and we had SO many compliments on how it made the room look. Thank you Jay for EVERYTHING! -

Jay is such a great person to work with. From the moment we connected via phone call 1.5 year ago when beginning to plan my wedding, to the dance floor being full the night of my wedding, he was so fun and flexible to work with! My husband and I had specific playlists to play at cocktail hour, dinner, and the open dance section, and he found and played all of them! He is so responsive and responds w/in 24 hours. if you're looking for a flexible, easy going DJ, who plays exactly what you want, this is him! Jay at Fourth Estate was a pleasure to work with, very professional and responsive. We found him through the recommended vendors list at our venue. He played great music that had people dancing all night long!
The only thing was due to our venue's acoustics, it was difficult to understand any announcements but it did not put a damper on our evening.
