Wonderful Officiant Who Creates Personalized Ceremonies for Couples

Wonderful Officiant!
Jill was amazing from start to finish. From our first conversation she was warm, personable, and open to our ideas. She seemed genuinely happy for us. She responded quickly and thoroughly to all of our questions. We wanted our ceremony to have a mostly secular vibe but that honored and respected our interfaith (Catholic/Jewish) backgrounds. Jill was the perfect person to do this. Jill spent so much time getting to know us both as individuals and a couple. She told our love story beautifully and got some good laughs from the audience. Then we incorporated both Jewish and Catholic prayers and the Jewish tradition of the breaking of the glass at the ceremony. Jill explained all of these elements beautifully. Our families were so happy with the ceremony and many said it was the most beautiful and thoughtful ceremony they had ever been to. I would recommend Jill to anyone!!!

A Wonderful Ceremony
My now-wife and I both really had no idea what our ceremony was going to look like, other than that we wanted a secular but spiritual ceremony as neither of us are particularly religious. After interviewing a few officiants, we settled on Jill - she seemed the most professional, yet warm. Unlike some of the other officiants, she didn't offer grandiose variations to the ceremony during our interview; instead, she focused on getting to know us as a couple. We really liked that.
Fast forward through the meeting in person and email exchanges regarding readings and ceremony script to the day of the wedding - Jill was absolutely perfect. She created the perfect moment. She wasn't too rushed but didn't go on for too long, paused at all the right spots, discretely whispered helpful reminders, and stepped aside at intervals to allow the cameras to work their magic. She was a perfect mixture of a warm yet solemn officiant.
I don't think any other officiant that we could have asked would have done the job half as well. We give Jill our highest praise and we will be recommending her again and again to anyone who asks.

Our Chicago Wedding
Jill was fantastic to work with for our elopement wedding in Chicago. Because we live out of state, everything was handled via email and phone. We were offered many options for vows and the availability to customize. We couldn’t be happier with her opening and closing remarks. We really wanted a personalized wedding ceremony but couldn't decide on a family or friend to do the ceremony, so we went looking for an officiant. So happy we did! We were likely an easy elopement, however, it was really nice that she went out of the way to customize the ceremony and vows for a lifelong memory. Making Your Wedding Day Dreams Come True
Jill, was our officiant in a private-ceremony in July. When we first met Jill, she guided us through the details leading up to the ceremony and the day of the wedding. During our initial phone call, she took the time to learn about us so she could personalize the ceremony. For me, she even included my parents who have been together for over 60 years which was touching. Her attention to detail, caring personality, and desire to ensure we had a memorable wedding day is why we would recommend Jill to anyone getting married and looking for an amazing officiant.

Amazing Officiant
Jill was a pleasure to work with and SO flexible for the pandemic. She helped walk us through rescheduling our wedding and doing a smaller elopement ceremony outdoors with immediate family. We had a beautiful ceremony that was an amazing experience and we are so grateful to Jill!

The perfect small ceremony
We had planned a larger, international ceremony in June 2020. We had to postpone for multitude of reasons, but we still wanted to get married in 2020. The courthouse was booked out for months and we had a mild panic cause we were trying to plan only 2 weeks out from the new wedding date. Jill was recommended to us by another officiant and I'm so happy that happened! Jill was very responsive over email and her getting to know us chat was really fun and got deeper than expected. She worked all these little details from that chat into our short ceremony which was so unexpected since we did request the basic elopement type ceremony. Additionally, we had a family emergency the week of the ceremony and she was very understanding and flexible. We were definitely not the best couple in terms of organization or communication, but she kept us on track which was so vital. Also, she was a true expert in returning the license which is needed.
We highly recommend Jill and if our postponed larger ceremony was in Chicago, we'd be hiring her again. I've described the day as perfect and Jill was a major part of that perfection.

Wonderful Experience!
We were introduced to Jill via the Elope to Chicago company after our original wedding plans were derailed due to CoVID-19. Jill was so helpful during the process of deciding what we did and did not want in our ceremony and I feel like she really “got” us after our consultation phone call. A lovely custom ceremony
Jill was the officiant at our wedding, and truly a delight to work with. We wanted a warm ceremony that truly reflected us, and Jill's process for creating one was a wonderful, reflective activity during a very hectic engagement period! As a bride I was extremely nervous about the ceremony and its tone, but Jill's professionalism and thoroughness assuaged all of my worries. She wrote a moving ceremony script, was responsive to our edits, and delivered it beautifully at our wedding. We can't recommend her highly enough!

Jill was so amazing to work with. She took about an hour to chat with me and me then fiancé (now husband) on the phone about our story and got to know us to be able to craft her words for our ceremony. She provided us with options for standard vows but was absolutely flexible when we decided to go our own route. Truly a special person!
Jill was amazing through this entire process. She was very easy to work with and incredibly personable, and it was easy to see that she was genuinely invested in our relationship and telling our story. Jill went above & beyond even learning a new ethnic ritual we added to the ceremony. She executed this ritual smoothly and beautifully along with the rest of the ceremony. Responsive and organized with a personalized ceremony
Jill was the best officiant we could have hoped for. She is extremely professional yet personable. Rest assured you will be in good hands with someone who has the experience of officiating many weddings. Jill will tailor the ceremony to your specific needs.
When you are planning for a wedding things get hectic and it is easy to get overwhelmed with everything that needs to get done. Jill kept us on track and was proactive with communication to make sure we were prepared for ceremony. She was responsive to our emails and accommodating to our changing schedule.
Early on Jill will provide each of you a questionnaire to complete with questions about your relationship with eachother as well as other personal details. She takes these questionnaires and creates a narrative story that is personal and specific to every couple to be read at the ceremony. It is apparent she takes her time to write these couples stories and it is not something that is quickly thrown together. At the end you will have editorial discretion to revise your story to what you feel comfortable with. There was very little we felt we wanted to change.

Jill is the cherry on top of a wonderful ceremony
I can't imagine anyone but Jill to have lead our wedding ceremony, it was beautifully written and delivered. Jill is a skilled writer and genuinely feels for her couples. She spoke of my partner and I's journey, capturing all our challenges and triumphs in such a heartfelt way. We had our guests laughing and crying throughout! Even now, people will tell us how moving and beautiful the ceremony was. And Jill was a major part of that. When we were planning, my partner and I were very mindful of who we selected as the officiant as they set the tone of the ceremony. We talked to multiple officiants who never really fit our personal dynamic. Jill was recommended to us and we are so glad she was! A major challenge during our planning was that were were doing it from a distance. So it was vital that our officiant would be to work with us from afar. Jill was so flexible, we had calls and talked over email, planning was a breeze. She gave us a timeline of what to expect, such as get to know you questions, selecting readings, and when to get our vows done. We appreciate how organized she was, she kept us on track! We both had our vows finalized days before the wedding so there was no last minute crunch. Working with her was stress free. She was reliable and communicative, it made the wedding planning process so much easier. She also looked out for us during the ceremony, reminding us (mainly me) that it was okay to take a moment for myself. Jill is wonderful and she writes and speaks beautifully. She told our story and all the things we have to look forward to in our married lives. She made the first steps in our married lives a perfect one.

Jill made our ceremony simply amazing. Often couples and guests think this is the part to rush through to get to the next event.... but really this is the most important time to be present. Jill takes the time to get to know you as a couple and as separate people to make a ceremony one could only dream possible.

Jill was absolutely incredible. We talked with her over the phone first, then met with her in person. She really wanted to get to know us personally and that allowed her to write a truly beautiful ceremony. On the day of the ceremony she arrived promptly, and did a great job of helping us to organize our guests and start the ceremony on time. The readings she helped us choose were absolutely perfect, and her delivery was outstanding. My favorite part was the personal touches she added about me and my wife. She made our guests laugh and cry, and the ceremony flowed beautifully. My wife and I cannot speak highly enough of Jill - she is truly fantastic. Jill did an incredible job at planning and officiating our ceremony. We only met with her in person one time before the rehearsal for 3 hours and from that one meeting and a few questionnaires, she was able to design a beautiful wedding ceremony that perfectly captured our relationship. All of our family and friends were very moved by the ceremony. Many of them walked up to us afterwards and asked if she has known us for years; she was able to make our ceremony that personal.

A perfect match
I was lucky enough to get some referrals that led me to Jill, and I'm so thrilled that she was the officiant for our wedding. Finding the right officiant isn't exactly easy — we put a lot of effort towards creating a celebration that felt true to us as a couple, and we didn't want to necessarily follow the normal flow or traditions of a wedding ceremony. Jill was a perfect partner in helping us create something uniquely meaningful to our relationship. She was warm, personable and inquisitive during each of our meetings. Our Perfect Ceremony!
Jill officiated our wedding early October and we were so happy with everything. When we met Jill in person, we knew right away she was a good fit for this important moment in our lives as she was extremely personable and really tried to get to know our story to make that the focus of the ceremony. We had a get to know you phone call and then sat with her for a couple of hours and chatted and she asked such great questions to get to know us! Many, many people came to us during our cocktail hour and commented on how much they loved the ceremony and were impressed by our officiant! The only small tweak we would have made would have been going through everything 2-3 times during the rehearsal instead of just once! The rehearsal was only about ~20 mins and when we were up there for the ceremony we forgot which way to turn at one point but Jill realized and handled it expertly. So grateful for Jill and her writing and speaking capabilities!!!

Jill did a great job with our ceremony, we received a lot of compliments! She is so knowledgeable and provided us with a bunch of options but was also focused on making sure we had the ceremony we wanted. She spent a lot of time getting to know us and crafting a script and was wonderful and gracious when we ended up changing a lot of it! I would highly recommend her services, she was a great resource and an excellent officiant.

I cannot say more about Jill, she is an professional, kindhearted woman! :) I contacted Jill a week, yes one week, before my elopement ceremony. It was also a Thursday before a holiday weekend. Jill responded fast and professional to my inquiry. We chatted over the phone as a 'get to know you' conversation because we had less then then a week to plan and execute the elopement ceremony. We emailed back and forth with ceremony scripts and information to make it more personal. Not only was Jill very responsive she is SUPER flexible. I changed the venue of the ceremony about a good 5 times before finalizing it LESS THEN 24 HOURS before the ceremony. Due to weather changes, permits and conflicted timing it was tough to find a space in such a small time frame. Jill was flexible and adaptive to whatever I threw her. My husband and I are seriously so THANKFUL for Jill!! We are so lucky for Jill

Jill was a breeze to work with. From the first meeting we had with her, where we were able to share a bit about ourselves, to the questionnaires and help she gave with writing vows for the ceremony, she was organized intuitive. My husband and I are hosting a destination wedding in Mexico and decided that we preferred to have a private legal ceremony here in Chicago beforehand. We made this decision spur of the moment, so I turned to WeddingWire to find a highly recommended officiant and that's where I found Jill. I sent her an inquiry late one evening explaining our situation and I had a response waiting for me first thing the next morning. She told me that she had done this plenty of times and provided me with all of the information needed to help us make a decision. Jill also offered to set up a call with us so she could get to know us a bit so she could personalize the ceremony. We really appreciated this, especially given the short notice. Jill crafted the ceremony and sent me a copy to review beforehand, and it was like she had known us for years. I literally wept at my desk at work when I read it. The day of, she was prompt and so sweet. We can't thank her enough for making our private ceremony so special for us.

Jill was such a pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning process and during the wedding day! Jill is extremely organized and helped ensure that our wedding ceremony progressed seamlessly. Jill was also very accommodating with all of our requests. She has such a calming demeanor that will calm anyone's (even the most stressed out grooms), and was very comforting and soothing during the moments leading up to the wedding. Jill really took the time to get to know us both as a couple and as individuals, which really shined through during our wedding ceremony. Jill was a great officiant, she listened to our specific requests and never deviated from them. This initial sit-down meeting was a good touch to ensure that our personalities met, she requires a lot of input from you, which makes for a more personal end product. We wrote our own vows and she helped us think about some key aspects we had not thought of. Our wedding ceremony was outdoor on an extremely hot day, not a complaint at all from Jill, trooper. Thank you Jill, we received many comments that the ceremony was beautiful.

We were referred by another Officiant that was booked for our wedding date, and couldn't have been happier how this worked out. Jill was very responsive, and she just got my husband's humor and our personalities. She was able to pick up on things from just a phone call and a few emails exchanged. She could have provided a very standard ceremony and vows for us, but she went above and beyond making something customized and personalized incorporating both of our cultures. It was a very thoughtful and much appreciated thing when you are planning a wedding that she can think of something that we didn't even think of, especially when you are in the thick of planning and thinking of so many other things for the wedding and other events going on in your life. She was on time and laid out expectations, easy to communicate with, and made everything simple. I must have also gotten quotes from more than 10 others and they were such ridiculously exorbitant prices for what in actuality might have been a half an hours worth of time that was spent in person. I feel like some people just capitalize on someone else's happiness and take advantage by charging a high fee or cost because you are getting married. This was not the case with Jill, as she was very reasonable in price and her personality really set her apart. We would highly recommend her.

Professional, respectful, and compassionate. Jill was very helpful planning the service providing guidance and direction. She listened to our needs and put together a heart-felt and personalized ceremony. She understands how the components of the ceremony work together to create an emotional arc for the couple, as well as for the family and friends in attendance. There was never any pressure to do it "one way" or any requirements to include something that didn't feel right to us. Ultimately, we had a beautiful and stress-free service, albeit emotional (tears of happiness and joy in the moment). We were and are very happy.

The ceremony is really what the whole day is about so, it was very important to us to have someone amazing and wonderful marry us. We knew right away that Jill was that person. She took the time to really listen to our love story -- how we met, how our relationship developed, the engagement -- and created a ceremony that truly reflected us as a couple. After the ceremony, our guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was -- there were laughs, tears, the whole shebang! It was perfect and we feel blessed to have had Jill play such an important role in one of the most memorable days of our lives.

Choosing an officiant was challenging for us. We wanted our ceremony to feel as personal as possible, but were new to the Chicagoland area and had not established a relationship with anyone yet who we felt could accomplish this. To further complicate things, we wanted a nondenominational ceremony with some prayer and religious reference, but nothing too traditional. Thank goodness we found Jill! She took incredible care in listening to our requests and getting to know us as a couple. She captured us beautifully, and our guests loved her! By the end of our time together, she felt like a friend and mentor. Any couple would be lucky to work with her.

Jill was fantastic! My husband and I wanted a short ceremony with minimal religious traditions involved. Jill wrote us a ceremony script that was absolutely perfect for us. She was extremely responsive, warm, and made us both feel extremely comfortable during the ceremony. Even though we chose a short ceremony, Jill still took the time to add personal touches to the script and answered every question we had!
