I loved my makeup artist Valerie! she was so kind funny and artistic with her makeup skills! Her and my hair stylist Imari made me look stunning For my big day! Their personalities were amazing and they truly felt like they were apart of the bridal party! Minus the mimosas ❤️❤️❤️ -

Shea Sent on 06/30/2018My makeup and hairstylist was wonderful! She did an excellent job and really listened and adjusted to my personal style and vision for what I wanted. However, communication with Chic Occasion was difficult. I sometimes never got a response or they would only respond to one part of my question. Hope they iron that out moving forward, because the service and the pricing was great! -

I really do not like leaving bad reviews online, but I feel the need to share my experience for the benefit of others. First, I'd like to say that my stylist Jennifer did a great job, and is the only reason I gave more than a 1-star rating. She was a pleasure to be around and made us all look very beautiful. However, I had major issues with the scheduling and management portion of this company. Their website advertises "We make sure to send several artists for you and your group to look beautiful, not feel rushed and assure you're ready on time!" This was also reassured to me via email by their managing partner/co-founder, David Davis. Then on my wedding day, without any warning, only one stylist arrived to complete hair and makeup for four people. We had scheduled 3 hours to get ready because Mr. Davis advised our appointments should take approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes. It took nearly 5 and a half hours for everyone to be finished which severely cut into our time for photos. I think the idea behind this company is wonderful, but the execution is severely lacking. Please think twice before hiring this company. -

Do not book your hair and makeup with this vendor for any event. Chic Occasion does not have integrity in the business they do. We were charged an extra $700 on our card after paying in full and the owner never responded to my multiple emails and calls asking for a refund. We had to dispute the charge on our card through our bank, but haven’t had any communication from David, the owner, taking responsibility for the error or even letting us know if a refund would be given.
Day of my wedding, we were expecting 3 artists to show up for 7 total people to get their hair and makeup done. The first woman, Brie, flaked the morning of without warning. The second woman, Zoya, showed up and told us last minute she could only stay for a couple of hours. The third woman, Angela, stayed the entire time and kept her cool and kept us all calm. Angela did my trial, as well, and she is so personable, attentive, and knowledgeable. She deserves her own company and to get away from this hot mess of a business. Unfortunately, she had to fix several mistakes that Zoya made, so not all of my bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done. We also asked the owner several times for a refund on the services that weren’t complete and we haven’t heard back from him.
I do not recommend this vendor based on lack of communication and integrity, flaky artists that aren’t held accountable, and poor management. Your big day is already emotional and nerve wracking enough, save yourself the heartache and book with another vendor, please! -

If I’m being honest, I’ve never been as upset with a company as I am with this one. I booked an appointment for October 15th at 3:00pm. I booked over a month in advance. On October 14th at 6:30pm I received an email saying that my appointment was being cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances” and that my money would be refunded. This caused me to have to find a replacement with very little notice. On November 1st, I emailed saying that I still had not received my refund and was told it was going to the owner directly. I never heard anything again. I sent out another email yesterday and still haven’t heard back. It’s December 21st and I still have no refund. Also, I ended up having to spend 140 extra dollars to book someone last minute. So I am currently out 340 dollars due to not receiving my refund. -

Due to covid we emailed and called several times. No answer. We had to reschedule and no one will reply. They walk away with our $900. When we call, it goes to voicemail, which Sandra Rodriguez will never return the call. I don't know hiw these people sleep at night. We did not and will not receive any services, which is why we feel they have stolen our money. -

Literally the worst experience. My sister’s bridal portraits were Friday, June 12th at 6 pm. She booked online and paid the 100$ deposit. We get to the location where she will have her hair and makeup done at 3pm, the booked time. No one is there at 3. Or 315. Or 330. We called and called the listed number and left messages. No one ever called, even through close of business today. Unacceptable. A day that should have been fun and exciting was disappointing and anxiety ridden. Being a bride right now is hard enough without this ridiculous behavior on the part of Chic Occassion. Less than 1 star would be more appropriate.
