I am getting married in Moncton, NB but I live in Alberta where I teach. It has been an extra hassle trying to organize and communicate with east coast vendors because of the time change. However, Chester & Felicity went above and beyond for me. They were very responsive with emails to schedule my dress shopping, Micky (owner? manager?) suggested a beautiful gown she thought would suit me, they agreed to store my dress free of charge, a rate was given for my bridesmaids dresses, and I was even sent veil suggestions via email. Excellent service!

I discovered Chester & Felicity at the Brides 2015 bridal show, having not heard of them before that. I worked with Mickey. I ended up getting a dress that was completely different from what I had envisioned for myself. She suggested the dress for me, and not only does it fit me perfectly and look great, but it was on sale! I love me dress and had a great experience with Chester & Felicity. I highly recommend them.

While the dress shopping and purchasing experience was AMAZING and my consultant was fantastic, it was the lady I had to deal with when I picked up my dress that was TERRIBLE. She left me standing in my dress waiting to be laced up and she was rude. Thankfully my MOH was there and at one point told her to STFU (in a nice way behind my back) or I was going to blow a gasket. She just had no professionalism and no tact.

I didn't have high hopes for finding my dress at Winchesters; we went on a whim because the right people were in the city, but it actually worked out for the best.

The consultant we had was extremely rude to my mother at the onset - she was very focused on it being about the bride and not the family and kept reminding my mom of that everytime she made a comment or suggestion. I assume that she's used to dealing with pushy mothers, and so she flips into "bride defence mode" automatically. Luckily my best friend was there to keep my mother (who was really supportive of what I wanted) in check when she wanted to freak out... ha

Once we started trying dresses on and she realized that my group was really great, the consultant actually softened was really great for the rest of the appointment. She actually found "The Dress" and matched the veil perfectly. She's really great at her job, it's just hard to crack her shell.

Overall experience was good (despite the bad first impression), even when we went back for a fitting and final payment.

Buyer beware. They remove the original brand tags/identifying information and replace them with their own inventory tags. They do not want brides to research the dresses elsewhere, where they would likely find them to be a cheaper price. I asked to have my measurements for the dress that I loved and they took them, without saying them out loud, and put them in the computer for when I decided to "make the order". The lack of transparency was shocking and off putting to me. I ended up searching a few stores in NB, where I purchased the same dress for a couple hundred dollars cheaper. Shameful.

They were very helpful in picking out a dress, but not very helpful once it was ordered. They alos say that they require the full costs by 3 months after ordering, but they do not! Also, they did not order by bridesmaids dresses when they said they would (ordered in December instead of August!!)
I suggest looking at dresses here, but purchasing one elsewhere.

I didn't have high expectations of Winchesters after having gone there for my friends wedding and not having a great experience, however I thought I would go there to check out a particular line they carried, looking for a dress that I fell in love with online. Fortunately, the dress turned out to be THE ONE, but unfortunately I had to purchase it from Winchesters. They were SO nice to me while I was there for my appointment, but after they got my money.... That was it for customer service. They told me I could come back anytime to compare my (something borrowed) veil, but when I went back, I was spoken to very rudely about not having an appointment, well... that was after I had been ignored for 15 minutes or more. When they did "help" me, they made me feel like the biggest nuisance. I apologized and explained I was told that I didn't need an appointment for that, to which they were snarky and said, "as long as they weren't busy" (How am I supposed to know that a Thursday evening would be busy?) So fast forward to when I picked up my dress. I was having it altered by the tailor in the same building as the bridal shop, but the tailor was already closed for the day. I asked if I could leave my dress there for a couple of days until I could get it to the tailor. They told me no that I had to take it that night because they didn't have room to store it. So, I left with the dress, into the rain, took it elsewhere to store it (since I didn't want my hubby to see it), then went back to my grandmother's to pick it up a couple of days later to take it back to the exact same building from where I had just taken it. Oh, and maybe I should mention that it's not only to the customers that they're rude. I heard one particular consultant be extremely rude (borderline mean) to a couple of other employees. I couldn't believe that she not only spoke to the elderly lady like that, but did so in front of customers!
