Beautiful Addition for our wedding

When we wanted to book a harpist, I knew Cheryl would be our person. She provided great song selections to make our ceremony and first look memorable. I really enjoyed the process with her and if you are looking for a unique and beautiful touch for your wedding hire Cheryl.

Beautiful music

I wish I could have heard more from Cheryl, but I was tucked away during the prelude. What I did hear for my processional and recessional was just beautiful. I hope my videographer captured her in action. I know that I contacted Cheryl less than 2 months before the wedding. She was so helpful and reassuring. The week before the wedding, she called me and played a few samples to help me with a final selection. She was easy to work with and reasonably priced for her services. My guests commented that the music was just lovely!

Beautiful Harp Music, Professional and Flexible

Cheryl is a true professional harpist. A few months before the wedding, Cheryl stepped in for another harpist who was unable to perform on our wedding date. Cheryl graciously offered to learn a song for the wedding ceremony. We really appreciated Cheryl’s flexibility. Cheryl arrived extra early at the wedding venue and played a wonderful variety of songs for our guests as they arrived. We could hear Cheryl’s sweet and calming music when each member of the bridal party walked down the aisle at our outside wedding venue. As part of the planning process, Cheryl gave us tips on how to appropriately word the music selections which was very helpful. We highly recommend Cheryl who made our wedding experience very memorable and extra special!

Cheryl (plus a flutist and cellist) did the ceremony music for us at our church. Cheryl is an incredible musician and was excellent at helping us choose music for our ceremony. My mother was very "hands on" about the music (lots of questions and requests for info), and Cheryl was extremely patient, flexible, and understanding about that. Cheryl felt it was unnecessary to attend the rehearsal, which made my mom nervous, but everything was perfect on the wedding day. Set up was flawless and music was absolutely beautiful. Cheryl knows a lot of very talented musicians who play a variety of instruments, and was willing to pull together a trio of musicians that worked very well together. Suggestion: Text messages seemed to be the most effective way to communicate with Cheryl. HIGHLY recommend, if music is important to you.

I, the mother-of-the-bride, would give Cheryl Roeske the highest recommendation possible. At our request, she put together a top-notch trio including herself, a harpist; Eric Abalahin, a flutist; and Joshua Bermudez, a cellist; and they played the ceremony music for our daughter's church wedding in March, 2017. All three are excellent musicians and played a beautiful mini-concert of classical music for the prelude, processionals, recessional, and postlude. Many guests commented on what a joy the music had been; even the minister said from the pulpit it was one of the most beautiful weddings he had ever officiated because the music was so exceptional and inspiring. In addition to the quality of their performance, I give all three, but especially Cheryl, as leader of the group, high marks for agreeability (I was very fussy about choosing the music, avoiding most of the standards) and flexibility. The start of the ceremony was delayed because of the late arrival of the bus from the hotel and some problems getting the wedding party organized, but you'd never know it because the trio continued to play very professionally four additional classical pieces to fill up the time. I know Cheryl also plays as a harp soloist and with a variety of instrumentalists, in combination with many more harpists, with a flute or violin as a duet.. . . and I am sure all are very pretty. She is an experienced, versatile musician. I personally and especially love the sound of these three instruments together: the harp for its gentle ethereal rolling background, the flute for its clear soaring melodies, and the cello for its deep, sonorous, and mellow support. It's gorgeous! I found Cheryl very easy to work with as well. She is reliable, accommodating, and very patient. Hire her, with no reservations whatsoever.

Our wedding was The Experience2016. Cheryl was the perfect addition to our wedding ceremony at the Sheraton North Hotel in Towson, Maryland to ensuring our guest got a true experience. Cheryl was responsible for setting the atmosphere as our guests arrived. The ceremony was an evening black tie affair and guests absolutely loved her selections. Before and during the ceremony the harp echoed beautifully. Cheryl was lovely and her entire process was easy, from beginning to end! She is responsive and reliable, a perfect score.

Cheryl along with a flutist (Craig Marlow) and soloist (Audrey Moise) provided the ceremony music for my Sept 26, 2015 wedding in Georgetown. They were ALL phenomenal!! They exceeding my expectation. Cheryl’s communication, talent, and professionalism are phenomenal (unlike some other live musicians we had been considering). Once we contacted her, she immediately got back to us and sent us a demo CD of her music. She always responded very quickly and she was able to get an excellent sense of our taste and preferences for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We decided to request a harp / cello duo, and the cellist she brought in was fabulous! They were even willing to learn some of our favorite songs to play during the cocktail hour!

Her golden harp is a very beautiful instrument. The ceremony music was perfect - the timing, the mood, the volume, it was absolutely wonderful. It’s too bad the bride and I were much busier than we anticipated and missed a lot of the pre-ceremony and cocktail hour music, but everything we did get to hear was amazing. We got to enjoy one of the special songs we requested - the theme from “Up” - and we loved it! We received so many compliments from our guests, and everyone felt Cheryl and her cellist did a fantastic job. She really added a delicate, elegant touch to such an already memorable occasion. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a harpist.

Cheryl's playing for our wedding was absolutely the best choice that we could have made. The sounds of her beautiful golden harp was the most incredible music that anyone could imagine for their wedding or any event. The choice of music that she chose for us was better than any Disc Jockey could have played, I tried everything in my power to hold back the tears because it was just simply beautiful. While Cheryl was unable to play at our event due to a scheduling conflict caused by snowfall in the DC area, she was the consummate professional throughout the entire process.

She was very helpful assisting myself and my bride with musical selections for our ceremony. Once the conflict arose due to rescheduling the wedding, she went above and beyond to find us replacements harpists to choose from at no additional cost or hassle to us.

Cheryl demonstrated a level of professionalism, friendliness and class you rarely see in people these days. You would be hard pressed to find a better person to enhance your special day.

Quite simply, Cherly Roeske is an AMAZING harpist and just personifies elegance. We had our wedding at the Hay-Adam's (at the Top of the Hay) and Cherly was the perfect compliment to our day. Her talents are extraordinary matched only by her grace and manner in which she plays. What's really nice is that several days have passed since our wedding and our family and friend still continue to rave about Cherly's talents. What I'm most thankful for you is that I had the privilege of getting married to most amazing woman (my wife). And I will never forget the image her walking down the isle with the subtle and beautiful sounds of Cheryl playing the harp in the background. That is a memory that I will savor and never forget. We wanted a unique sophisticated touch to our reception. Cheryl and her music provided just that classic, subtle experience for which we were looking. Many of our guests seated themselves and enjoyed the heavenly music.If I were to ever have an event that required that effect again, I would happily ask for Cheryl.

You will not be disappointed in your choice of musicians if you choose Ms. Roeske. Her music is beautiful and thoughtful for any occasion. Cheryl Roeske, Concert Harpist is an amazing artist and friend. Cheryl and I have performed several concerts together throughout the years, and it's always a pleasure to see and work with her. In November, 2010, Cheryl performed a Dual Harp Concert with Harpist, Diane Michaels in the oldest church in York, PA, Trinity United Church of Christ. Simply Beautiful. The combination of Harp and Flute was wonderful. I am a musician myself and very picky about my music. My family and guests are still talking about them. Cheryl was very easy to work with, on time and even stayed beyond her time commitment. The Bridesmaids were a bit late. I highly recommend Cheryl for you next event. My wife and I are still sitting on cloud nine after having you play at our wedding.. I didn't get to personally thank you before you left the ceremony, but I wanted to extend my deepest and most sincere gratitude to you for lending us your talent and being a part of what will be our most cherished memory.

My experience with Cheryl Roeske was one of extreme delight.From the first conversation I had with her she was polite and professional but still was very personable. Every question I asked she had an answer for and put my mind at ease. It was one less thing I needed to worry about. The day of the wedding Cheryl on prompt and set up well before the guests arrived. The response from the guests was confirmation that I made the right decision. I highly recommend Cheryl. Her performance was stellar and made my special day that much more.

Ms Roeske provided harp music prior to the wedding service and during the seating of the parents and bridal party. The music provided a very peaceful and classic tone for the beginning of the ceremony.

Cheryl was fantastic! A total pro. The music was beautiful and just exactly what we wanted. She has great taste and is extremely easy to reach even with her busy schedule.

The music that Cheryl provided added a touch of elegance like no other. I had a specific song that i wanted her to learn and she had no problem accommodating my request. Her participation added an element that made our special day top notch!

Cheryl is wonderful to work with, and her music is amazing. Her song selections are interesting and beautifully played. While at our event, she played classics, along with Sting's "Fields of Gold" and other notable songs like "Killing me softly". She is a true talent and very professional and gracious.

Cheryl Roeske, Harpist, added a very special touch to our wedding ceremony. Throughout the entire process she was very professional. During the planning stages and once we had decided we were going to hire her, it was a little difficult getting immediate responses from her but this was largely due to her hectic travel schedule. However, she was very accommodating in helping finalize music selections the week before the wedding. Aside from traffic problems which got her to the church a little later than anticipated, everything went fine on the day of the wedding. All of our guests enjoyed her performance and thought it added the perfect touch of elegance to our evening wedding. I only wish we could have gotten a picture with her and the harp before she left.
