Amazing Chips & Queso!

My husband and I were wanting to serve elevated Mexican food at our wedding. Chef's market did not disappoint with the taco bar buffet they set up! We got so many compliments on the food, the chips and queso are to die for, and the service was incredible! I would recommend this company for any of your event needs - they are professional, accommodating, and the food is top-notch! We loved our entire experience with them and will be visiting the restaurant for more food (especially their chips and queso) in the future!

Delicious Food

Loved chef's market!

We used Chef’s Market for our wedding dinner. Our guests absolutely loved it, and we received countless compliments on the appetizers and meal. We chose the Jack Daniels’ braised short ribs and shrimp and grits as our entrées. For the appetizers we chose hot chicken sliders, beef tenderloin crostini, bacon topped deviled eggs, crab cakes, fried green tomato with pimento cheese, and avocado tacos. Everything was fantastic!

Would Highly Recommend!

Best food I've ever had at a wedding. We had a plated dinner and had a great experience. Food was warm, service was excellent. In particular would recommend the edamame bite and deviled egg as apps, the winter pear salad, mushroom and gruyere risotto, the hot chicken in a waffle cone, and the mini cannolis (A+).

Fabulous Food and Organized Team!

The Chef’s market teams are definitely Pros! They have tons of options to customize for your event. My guests were so complimentary of all the food and they were great about various dietary needs. When we walked out of our ceremony chefs market had apps ready for my husband and i, which was so considerate. The service was incredible and planning was low stress with such a responsive and polite team of planners. I definitely would pick chefs market again for any future events!

Highly recommend

I had Chef's Market catered for my June wedding. Sam and Jennifer were responsive and on top of everything. We did a taco station and everyone loved it; it wasn't too heavy and perfect for a summer day. The German Chocolate cake was delicious but the coconut cake was the crowd favorite. There were zero issues; the staff were professional and we truly felt taken care of.

Best wedding food!

Southern Elegance Dinner

Chef's provided delicious appetizers and dinner for our wedding guests. When we requested southern elegance as our dining style, they delivered and then some with local and southern cuisine. We had a handful of dietary restrictions (nut allergy, gluten free, vegetarian, and black pepper allergies) and they handled it without issue, ensuring that all necessary preparations were managed safely.

Top notch!

We married about 2 months ago and are still receiving compliments from guests about having the best wedding food they've ever tasted! From the tasting, to the personalized menu, to the service day of, everything was top notch. Chefs market was delicious and perfect for my wedding!

Best decision!

Our wedding planner booked Chef’s Market for us so we didn’t have much direct contact with the vendor; however, the service they provided was incredible! The tasting was all about us. We had a private room with the caterer and our planner to try full sizes of EVERYTHING we may have wanted on our menu. It was difficult to choose the menu as everything was some of the best food we’ve tasted. Jim was also so understanding of our budget and did everything he could to help keep costs down. Jim also is so flexible with dietary restrictions, gluten free, allergies, etc. he even made my sister salmon which was not on our menu for our guests. (She doesn’t like red meat or shrimp which is what we had). Everyone was so accommodating! We (bride and groom) also got the royal treatment with servers asking if we needed anything special or if our wine glass was empty they were right there asking if we wanted more. All of our guests gushed over the foods and desserts which is what we wanted in our caterer! I would highly recommend this vendor.

Delicious & Great Service

We hired Chef’s Market to provide passed hoers d’oeuvres, bartender service and family style dinner at our wedding. First, we were impressed at our tasting where Kate took our feedback to create the perfect, tailored menu. The chef even created a custom sauce for us on the spot! On our wedding day, we were really impressed with how fresh and delicious everything tasted - much better than other weddings/catered events we had been to in the past. We found the service top notch, as well. We thought the servers were excellent and received feedback from our guests that the bartenders were very quick and friendly. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our choice in Chef’s Market!

Incredible and beyond anything we dreamed!

Saying thank you just isn't enough. Chef's Market made our wedding day incredible. From the first email to the end of the wedding reception, they never missed a single detail. We told them about our vision to have a cocktail style reception with lots of different hors d'oeuvres that gave a nod to Nashville, Italy and New Orleans. I'm from Nashville, my husband is from Italy and we met and began dating in New Orleans. Chef's Market took that vision and ran with it! We got countless compliments from our guests about the food. We had Nashville hot chicken cones, filet crostini, fig and goat cheese flatbread, chicken biscuits, a huge spread of veggies, fruits, dips, bread and cheeses, shrimp and grits and more. It was the perfect blending of cultures and more than we dreamed. The set up was gorgeous and inviting and the staff that was there for our event... THEY WERE INCREDIBLE! They were so kind and helpful and really did everything in their power to make us feel special. We made THE BEST choice when we booked them! Thank you so much Chef's Market!! We love you guys!

The food at our wedding was a huge hit! We went with the basic BBQ, mac and cheese, and green bean type of dinner and everyone loved it. We also added boiled peanuts (not on the menu) and they were more than willing to accommodate the request. They showed up with decorations that perfectly matched the theme of the wedding, the bartenders were extremely friendly and always made sure my groom and I had drinks in our hands.

Delicious food, professional service, great implementation. The crew at Chef's Market knows exactly what they are doing! Could not have been better! The planning process was a little difficult because they have so many menu options and no list to look at. It was a little overwhelming because we didn't know what we wanted or what to ask for. The quotation process was very slow. It was all worth it because the food was amazing! The service at the event was excellent.

Catering is one of the most important decisions you will make you for wedding and I am SO happy we hired Chef's Market for our wedding this past weekend at Belle Meade Plantation. From the beginning, Jim Hagy just understood what we wanted and whipped up the perfect-sounding menu off the top of his head. At the tasting, he was open to refining everything, making the changes we wanted (which were minimal) etc. They were so responsive to e-mail and so helpful. Even though our catering manager left before the wedding, Melissa swooped in and did a fantastic job getting caught up and executing the event perfectly. Everyone was extremely impressed by the flow of the event, which was seamless, and the quality of the staff Chef's Market hired. From the bartenders to the waiters, everyone was above-and-beyond nice and willing to jump in and offer help. And most importantly, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. This is not your typical blah wedding food. Everyone freaked out over how good it was. I'd hire Chef's Market again in a heartbeat!

Chef's Market is probably the best choice I made for my wedding. They were so flexible and made sure the menu was exactly what we wanted. The service and food were both outstanding. The level of professionalism was through the roof. I specifically worked with Corey Grissom and John Hagey...They definitely know how to run a team and made me feel at ease every step of the way. USE THEM! I cannot say enough positive things about Chef's Market. The food is amazing (I actually cried into the biscuits at the tasting - maybe due to lack of carbs for the wedding diet but also due to the amazing taste), the desserts cannot be beat, and the additional service was exceptional. We had a buffet style dinner, but the servers went above and beyond, circulating wine throughout dinner on platters so my guests did not have to get up. Using Chef's Market was the best decision I made... other than marrying my groom :)

Chef's Market was absolutely fabulous. Their team was very informative and helpful when picking out our selections. They listed to what we wanted so when we showed up to the tasting, we liked everything we tried and ended up going with the food on the first round. Their presentation for the wedding was incredible. We had so many guests tell us the food was the best they have ever had. Chef's Market even brought out little chicken sliders towards the end of the reception for those people who had been drinking a bit - a good late snack.

It's been four months since our wedding and guests are STILL raving about our food. Some even say it's the best meal they've ever had. Amie Ellis hit the nail on the head as far as food options within our budget, taste, and quantity. She not only made sure that we got to eat on our big day, but also sent "to go" food for us in our getaway car.
Don't waste even a penny on mediocre food for your wedding. Go with Chefs and you, nor your guests will be disappointed. Remember to ask for Amie!

Do yourself a favor and hire Chef's Market for your event! From the first tasting to the day of our wedding they were professional and friendly, especially Carol. It rained or should I say poured on our wedding day and it was an outside event. The entire chef's market team without a single compliant moved all the catering within 15mins from the tent into the house where we ended up celebrating the reception. The food was amazing. I got the most compliments on the food tasted and how beautifully displayed it was. :) Do not think twice go ahead and hire Chef's Market. You will not be disappointed.

I don't have enough time or space to write/sing Chef's Market's praises! Hands down, my husband and I both agree they were the best money we spent. I was completely blown away by their caliber and quality of food, service, and design. Carol was so patient and accommodating. We got so much for our money with Chef's Market. Our guests loved the food and told us so all night. As soon as we walked in from the ceremony, David and Vanessa both greeted us and had set aside drinks and our first round of hors d'oeuvres for us so that we wouldn't miss out on anything by being "too busy to eat". Vanessa was also at the ready to make sure we had full plates set aside and that our cups were never empty. Carol COMPLETELY exceeded my expectations with table decor as it was absolutely beautiful and far beyond what I thought Chef's Market would be providing. The catering team worked seamlessly with my mother (who provided our desserts) and our bartenders to keep our event tasty and rolling on throughout the night. They even boxed up all of our leftovers and sent them home with our parents! Nothing like a fridge stocked full of tasty items when you've been too busy the week after your wedding to go grocery shopping! We were and are still so happy with Chef's Market for making our reception a success. I can't recommend them enough!

We used Chef's Market to cater our wedding at Cheekwood. The service Jim provided before and during the wedding was outstanding. The food was excellent, I've received many compliments on it, and Jim brought flowers and decor that matched our overall theme perfectly! He even stepped up and saved the day when the tent rental was provided incorrectly. Definitely recommend Chef's Market for an event or just for a nice lunch at their restaurant in Goodlettsville!

I highly recommend Chef's Market for your wedding reception. Carol was wonderful to work with. She was so sweet and during our tasting was very informative on helping us chose our selections for our buffet. Everyone kept raving on how good the food was. There were comments such as "this is the best restaurant I've ever ate at" and "I went through the line twice because I had to have more of the chicken roulade." The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. My personal favorite was our dessert table. It was gorgeous. I keep looking at the pictures because I cant get over how beautiful it was. Carol did a wonderful job of incorporating my look into the catering tables. Also, Chef's Market went above and beyond the day of my wedding. We had an outdoor reception planned, and it poured down rain. The catering team sprung into action, ran through the rain and moved the catering from the tent into the house within minutes. They never once complained about this. Their attitude was much appreciated in a highly stressful situation. Everyone was very pleased with Chef's Market, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Chef's Market is great! The food is great, the service is great, and their suggestions are great! We wanted something different and I suggested my favorite foods and bam we had a customized ice cream cookie sandwich bar with iced coffee latte shots! We wanted a cajun theme cocktail hour and the food the designed for us was exactly what we wanted! We had about 180 guests and everyone loved the food. You don't have to worry about the usual disgusting wedding food with Chef's Market! We even used them for our bartenders and there was never a line and the signature cocktail drink they designed was a huge hit! I highly recommend them!

Chef's Market did an all-around incredible job handling our wedding reception. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was beautiful and the service perfect. We attended a friend's wedding who used Chef's Market and we loved the food. When we got engaged a few months later we knew that we wanted to hire Chef's Market to cater our wedding. We met with Carol, the catering manager, first but still wanted to try other vendors to see if something else would stand out. Nothing compared to the service and quality we got from Chef's Market. Carol was absolutely fantastic--she was professional, friendly, accommodating, and did everything possible to make their catering service fit with our wedding. Carol was so creative in her displays for the food--she even created a "marshmallow tree" for our s'mores bar, which was a total hit (yes, they do all of the decorating for the food tables!). The food is delicious (I'm obsessed with their chicken curry salad) and the staff (especially Carol) is nothing but the best! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Chef's Market catered our wedding at Cellar One in Nashville, and I can't say enough good things about them! We asked for a menu with Southern flair, and they brought us a selection of hors d'oeuvres, entrees, and desserts that was perfect. We were invited to a personalized, elegant tasting before the wedding. At the actual event, we couldn't have asked for anything more! The food was outstanding, and the table presentation was gorgeous. We loved working with them!

I'm not sure I can say enough wonderful things about Chef's Market to really describe how amazing they are. The food was one of the most important aspects of our wedding day. Carol worked with us to build a custom menu that was uniquely ours. People weren't even finished with the appetizers and salad before they were raving about the food. And once the main courses started, they raved even more. I lost count of how many people told us it was the best food (not just wedding food but FOOD in general) that they had ever had. Seriously, you will not be disappointed if you have Chef's Market cater!

Chef's Market catered my daughter's wedding and it was perfect ! They were FANTASTIC ! The guests 3 weeks later are still talking about the variety of food we offered and how great it all was. First off, all the reviews are true- Chef's Market is the best. We used them for our recent (5.25.13) wedding and our guests could not stop talking about the food. We worked with (and highly recommend you ask for) Bo- he and his team helped us create and fantastic and personalized menu for the reception. All of our meetings/tastings with Bo were wonderful- very laid back and constructive. We had several stations (beautifully tablescaped) that worked well for our 180 person wedding. The shrimp and grits station was one of the bigger hits. We had Chef's Market do our cake (lemon and strawberry) as well-another crowd pleaser for sure. I may have had my groom feed me several bites. I can't wait to go back on our one year for another slice. We also used Bo/Chef's Market to organize our rentals and bartenders. I highly recommend this-Chef's market has a great relationship with so many other vendors, plus its one less thing to worry about. Honestly, I can't recommend Bo and Chef's Market enough!

I have never had better food at a function than what the Chef's Market did for us for my daughter's reception. Bradley is great to work with and the staff was very professional. The presentation was fabulous. Lots of people have asked me who we used which is always a good sign. If I never need a caterer again I will definitely use Chef's Market.

Let me begin by saying that I was most looking forward to the food on my wedding day! Chef's Market is hands down the best catering in Nashville! Bo and everyone at Chef's Market was a complete dream to work with. They created custom menus for the whole weekend - we loved their food so much we had them cater the rehearsal diner, wedding, and a sunday brunch - and came up with amazing options all within our budget! FYI, the gouda mac and cheese was to die for!!! Not to mention our watermelon margaritas on a stick! AMAZING! If the food wasn't enough, the service was impeccable. From the man in charge down to the bartenders and wait staff, everyone was beyond wonderful. I have never been at an event where the catering was so well managed and kept so clean! I cannot say enough positive things about Bo and Chef's Market. I will absolutely be having them cater any events I have in the future! My guests are still raving about the food!

Completely outstanding! I fell in love with Chef's Market's food when I went to do a tasting. I was very nervous about whether or not I could keep cost closely within my budget AND still give my guests nice options. Bo, the catering representative, was very attentive and tried to find great options to suit my needs. I did not feel like I compromised at all--even with having a small wedding of only 45 guests.
The day of my ceremony, the food was prepared well and the display was simple but elegant at the same time. Bo even had my and my newly-married husband's food delivered to our table; How sweet! I truly felt like Bo and his staff were happy to be there and really concerned that everyone enjoyed themselves and had what they wanted.
My husband actually had a migraine the day of the wedding (horrible, I know!) and the event servers prepared him a to-go box to take with us so that he could still enjoy our wedding dinner :-)

Even before we were engaged we knew we wanted Chef's Market to cater for us!
From the start the service was exceptional - our contact, Bo, was always very timely and informative with his responses.

Through chef's market we got our linens, food, cake, servers and bartenders. It was a very stress free process to have to just talk with one person to have all of those things taken care of.

The food was amazing (as always!).. we received a lot of compliments from our guests.

The staff decorated the food tables to match our theme and cleaned up everything at the end.

Chef's Market is a fantastic caterer! Everyone raved about the food. From the very beginning, Jim showed us SO much hospitality. During our first conversation, we talked for an hour about creative ideas for food, since I didn't have specific things in mind. They love being creative. Not only is the food DELICIOUS, the service was also fantastic. We had a server that was assigned just to us to take care of anything that we needed. She checked in on us multiple times and made sure we always had any food or drinks that we needed. I highly recommend Chef's Market to ANYONE looking for great catering and even better service!

Next to my dress, the food and decor was all anyone could talk about. Chef's Market really played a huge role in making my wedding memorable. The food was creative and absolutely DELICIOUS! I mean it was GOOOOOOOD! They think out of the box and are super creative! We had corn/avocado salad in edible sppons and green tea cones, chinese chicken and mandarin oranges in paper cones with chop sticks as part of the food that was being hand-passed around. I mean it wasn't just catering. It was an explosive food experience. And there was such a variety. What also really helped, was working with event coordinator Carol of Chef's Market. She handled all of our concerns AND coordinated with our event designers to make sure their flowers and table scaping matched the decor.

To top it off, they made us what I call a Honeymoon Bag. We were so busy with the day, my hubby and I didn't get a chance to eat. They made us a delicious bag of all of the food to take back to the hotel. It came in handy because we ate good that night!

We hired Chef's Market 3 weeks before our wedding date.

Carol at Chef's Market went over and beyond to accomodate us for our wedding day reception. The food was outstanding. Her professionalism was the best we had ever encountered. We went to two tastings. Tasting one was all kinds of sampling (not just samples but plate fulls) of food. Appetizers, Meats, Side Items, Salads, Desserts, Drinks. The second tasting was our full menu! I have never found a catering company that will cook your full menu you for you to try before the big day.

Carol and her staff at the reception were very professional, dressed appropriately, decorated the food tables and food area. Anything that was asked of her she did and did not charge extra. She told us the price and there was no hidden charges like we had experienced with our other catering company we had hired previously and fired.

I recommend Carol and Chef Market for any catering event you will be having. We definately will be hiring her again.

Incredible! We were first impressed because our tasting lasted 3 hours and Jim kept bringing us more and more samples. Happy and stuffed, we knew we wanted to use Chef's Market. Original quote was over budget, but when we told them this, they were able to cut out a few more expensive options and get the price to our budget without sacrificing quality. Then, at the reception, all of the food turned out not only delicious, but also beautiful! They take extra care to arrange and present all of the food in a beautiful display! Staff was always cleaning up and making sure nothing was ever empty or dirty. As a bonus, they made sure to keep our parents and key family members' plates and glasses full as well! Our moms were very pleased by this little extra attention to detail.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chef's Market. From our initial meeting to the big day, Chef's market was professional, responsive, and, of course, very talented. My fiance and I are really into food and, being from Chicago, we are used to eating high quality, innovative food and we wanted our wedding food to be of the same caliber. No one at our wedding was disappointed! Working with Mary Ann was great - she was so sweet and attentive and made sure we were happy.

We didn't just choose items off of their extensive menu. Being the perfectionist that I am, I requested additional items that the chef whipped up (like coconut shrimp with pina colada sauce and arugula, prosciutto, and lemon oil flatbread - both were amazing!) and nitpicked on tiny details. Mary Ann and the staff never made me feel like I was high maintenance or demanding - they were professional and accommodating to ensure that our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. When we requested Chicago dogs as a late night snack (gotta represent!), Mary Ann researched the exact ingredients, down to the dog and bun style, and exact neon green relish. We couldn't have been happier!

Not only is the food amazing, but the way they present it is almost like art - so cool and unique! The servers and bartenders were great too - friendly, efficient, and extremely capable, able to make any drink order that our guests could think of (and they did their best to stump the bartenders but to no avail).

Chef's Market certainly isn't the cheapest option available, but in my mind, it's the only vendor you should consider if you want excellent, innovative food, professional service, and creative food styling. For us, the experience and the end result was perfect and worth every penny. Thank you, Chef's Market for helping us make our wedding amazing!

I would 100% recommend Chef's Market to anyone with an upcoming wedding. They were extremely easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and that the meal was exactly what we wanted. At our first tasting we didn't really like any of the chicken dishes so they went back, created more chicken dishes and brought us back for a second tasting where we found the perfect dish! As for the wedding day, it was perfect! The food came out on time, hot and delicious!

We were referred to Wes at Chef's Market via our wedding planner. After meeting with him I was extremely excited. He had a great way of taking a small idea we had and making into a theme. We did a southern style cocktail hour with firefly sweet tea as our signature drink. Everyone loved the hor d'oeuvres!
Since I die for some french onion soup he also incorporated that into an appetizer. Every part of the meal was amazing!
We had a slight miscommunication on the menu options about a week out and he fixed it right away with no problem.
I was extremely happy with their service and food!

Chef market catered my wedding and the first thing people told me was that it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and that it was amazing food generally. Jim Hagy over at Chef's market more than made my wedding day, he suggested neat pieces they could bring free of charge to include with my vintage theme and asked me very specific questions to make sure our food and set up matched my vision. He even brought ribbon to adorn runners and added flowers to the top of my cake to make it look nicer! They went above and beyond and served everyone with grace and perfect timing. The desserts were terrific and it was so much fun visiting their home and tasting everything, we went several times! Jim worked on me to personalize my menu too, we created fun flavors for cupcakes and brainstormed about food pairings. Jim went above and beyond in so many ways that I cannot even list. They will make any wedding complete!

Most importantly - it was delicious! There were so many compliments on the food. Not like typical wedding food, it was very authentic and original. I felt like the price was so low that when the 'table scaping' was so incredible, I could hardly believe it. Service staff was great as well. Only complaint was that the fried green tomatoes were so good they were gobbled up by our guests before I had a chance to eat one.

We had a southern-style buffet for our Nashville wedding. We got so many compliments on the food and even more on the display. Working with Shannon at Chef's Market was a joy. I cannot say enough about how incredibly pleased we were with the catering for my daughters wedding on New Years Eve. She had a winter wonderland wedding at a venue in Downtown Nashville. We chose to serve food in stations. The food was absolutely incredible! We had guests from all over the United States and the only thing we heard from everyone was that this was the best wedding food they ever had.

The presentation was over the top! We had given them our vision for the wedding and they carried it out perfectly! They even took some decorating items we wanted included in the displays and made it even more spectacular! When my daughter first saw it all, she said it took her breath away because it was so beautiful! That was exactly what I wanted to hear!

We also had her Bridesmaid Luncheon at the Chef's Market restaurant in Goodlettsville. Again, the food was incredible and the service was over the top! Loved our server, Cassie!

Jessica, thank you for all your hard work in making this my daughters dream wedding! We actually pulled it off! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Chef's Market did an amazing job for my November 6th wedding! We did a sit-down dinner served family-style, which had never been done before at my reception venue, but Shannon and her team were willing to take on the challenge and they did a great job. The service was top-notch, and we're still getting compliments about how great the food was. Shannon was great about listening to what we wanted and customizing a menu to fit our event perfectly. Their prices are very reasonable and Shannon is always willing to give you a detailed breakdown of where the overall cost is coming from. Great food! We did stations instead of a sit down dinner. We have gotten so many compliments on the food. I had to tell people they have a restaurant in the Rivergate area, if they want to try more. Shannon was very helpful and patient. Long story short, they put a hold on my credit card when the caterer bill was due. Shannon was very understandable and we were able to correct the situation quickly.
The food they sent home with us was an awesome guesture. We realized we didn't eat much during the wedding. We got this to go box of food, which was right on time.

The mango margarita drink we had at our wedding was a huge success. Everyone loved the mango margarita, including myself. I am really sad I can't find one of that caliber on a regular basis.

Simply put, you won't find a better caterer for the money in Nashville. I spoke with some of our guests after our reception and everyone said they had never had such good food at a wedding. I've had to tell people where to go to find this place so that they can have more of it. Chef's Market was a hit for sure!

To be perfectly honest, I was a little put off by Chef's Market initially because it's in a suburb rather than the city, but those hesitations went away as soon as I tasted the food! Yes, I was being snobby because I thought that the only good food available was in the metro area. Boy was I wrong.

For our reception we went with dressed-up/upscale southern food. We had fried green tomatoes with brie, mini bbq sliders, gouda mac and cheese, stuffed chicken, baby greens salad, various corn breads, a corn/avocado salad, veggies, braised short ribs with some sort of magical sauce on them... etc. Our wedding was in downtown Nashville so that's where the dressed-up southern theme came from.

The catering coordinator is Shannon. She is wonderful and extremely professional. She majored in Hospitality at Auburn, so she definitely knows her stuff. As a reference she showed us her design book and my husband and I were both truly impressed. She assisted with the design/layout of our food and we were thrilled.

They were also super sweet about sending leftovers back to the hotel for us. I had no idea they did that until we got to the room and had the food. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

I could not have been happier with Chef's Market! My wedding planner (Sarah Willard of A Music City Event) suggested that we use them, and I am SO glad we did! Shannon was so easy to work with and was extremely pleasant. They will work with your budget and produce a very unique presentation that is both classy and breathtaking! I recommend them to any bride who wants to woo her guests with fantastic food (try the mashed potatoes! They are heavenly!) and a cool presentation!

I was very pleased with Chef's Market as our wedding caterer. They were very helpful with choosing our menu. The food was amazing and so many people commented that our food was great. We had a small dinner for just the two of us before we were introduced, so I actually got to eat and I know that the food was excellent. They also packed us plenty of to-go food for us to take as we left. Additionally, they can cut your cake and they have bartenders if you are serving alcohol.

We did food stations for our dinner, rather than sit down. It worked really well. We had an appetizer station, a meat carving station, a starch station (with mashed potatos and mac'n'cheese), a drink/tea station, and a sweets stations (with cake truffles and cheesecake lollipops). I had a vision of what I wanted on my wedding day and they worked very hard to make sure everything looked beautiful and tasted great. Perfect food, easy to work with. I do event planning for a living and have worked with many caterers in Nashville. Chef's is by far the best. The prices may seem to be slightly higher than other caterers - totally worth it. Great food - that my guests are still raving about almost 3 months after. Great presentation.

I was impressed with Chef's Market the minute I received the first proposed menu. None of the other caterer's compared to what they could offer at the price I needed, including decor! I worked with Carol and she was amazing. She gave me exactly what I wanted down to decor and design of my cake (without even a picture). Sliders were a hit and so was the cupcake tower. DELICIOUS!

Chef's Market was FABULOUS! Always prompt, organized, and tasty! Really, I don't think they could have given me a more wonderful experience. The only way they lost a .5 star on quality was because I noticed (being VERY picky) that the salad was not as chilled as it should have been, but I had an outside reception and it was really hot outside. It might have just been mine too because they fixed it for me because I was the bride. They are great and have GREAT prices! They were by far the best value I found on food. So be sure to check them out!

Incredible experience with the entire Chef's Market team

Chef's Market went above and beyond to make our whole experience from the first tasting to the big day unbelievable. Creative Menu, Wonderful Food!

Chef's Market Catering did a wonderful job on our wedding day in April at Allenbrooke Farms! The menu was full of clever and creative ideas, like hot chicken cones and fried avocado tacos that were presented so beautifully. All of our guests raved about the food and presentation. There were no worries about running out of food, but we also weren't left with much waste which was exactly how we wanted it! Emily worked side by side with us to create the perfect menu and was responsive to all of our requests. We couldn't have been happier!

I am so pleased we chose to go with Chef's Market as our catering company. They invited us in to taste some of their food while we planned a menu together instead of offering just a few choices. They also allowed us to change it later when we wanted to do a different meat option or add late night snacks. When they invited us back in a second time to taste OUR menu, Kate was terrific about suggesting alternative ways to serve things we weren't crazy about or special ways they could make things work (i.e. Pepper wrapped asparagus bundles)!

They were flexible with us to get within our budget and communicative throughout the month leading up. They had a staffing change shortly before our wedding, so I hadn't met or worked with the lady who actually handled our event but everything seemed to transition and go smoothly!

At the wedding itself, they set us up with a full plate of food each so we could have dinner and sent us home with some of the extra things we were especially excited about (crawfish hush puppies and avacado tacos)!

My husband and I were married on October 12th here in Nashville, TN. Being a bit of a "foodie" myself, I knew that we needed to put the catering at the top of our list of priorities. But also being conscious of our budget, we needed to find a company that would work with us to get what we wanted at a reasonable price.

I cannot say ENOUGH amazing words about Chef's Market. From to start to finish, they not only provided incredible food, but incredible service. When my husband and I first went to the main location to sample the menu, we weren't sure what to expect. It was the first "tasting" we had ever been to! Even though I don't have much experience to compare it to, I can confidently say that it was one of the greatest tastings I will probably ever have the pleasure of attending. They displayed the food beautifully, and more importantly, our tastebuds were extremely pleased.

When we first approached Chef's Market, we told them that we wanted a "classy take on comfort food". This is exactly what they presented to us! From a mashed potato and macaroni and cheese bar to the some of the best brisket I've ever tasted... They went above and beyond to make our menu a dream come true.

After eliminating a couple of items here and there, the price came out to be extremely reasonable. And not once in the entire evening did I feel like we were lacking in the amount of food options we gave our guests. In fact, we were all stuffed.

Most importantly, the wait staff associated with Chef's Market were some of the kindest and most helpful people we interacted with throughout the entire wedding experience. They were professional, constantly cleaned up and and made sure the meal was running smoothly, and they kept filling my wine glass the entire night. I don't think I even once started to make my way to the bar.

If you are planning a wedding, event, or even just want to go eat a meal at their restaurant, don't hesitate!

Delicious amazing food, and a very professsional staff- couldn't not have been more gracious during our tastings. My dad was out of the country at the time of the tastings, and they offered to hold us another one just some could be a part of it! I just wish I'd had more time to savor the food- thank goodness theres a restaurant!

We were so pleased with Chef's Market. The food was delicious and the presentation was gorgeous! The food stations were a big hit with our guests and helped with the flow of the room. They also presented the idea of having a family only dinner before our reception started. It was a huge success and I was so happy with the layout. Our guests are still raving about the macaroni and cheese balls, cheeseburger sliders, and mini salads. The catering crew was also nice enough to box up the leftover food for us so that nothing was wasted.

We really loved having Chef's Market Cater our wedding. The food was delicious and we were prepared a little appetizer downstairs before we were announced and took leftovers in a to go box afterward, so yes, I did eat the food! The salmon was some of the best salmon I have tasted and the salad was equally delicious. Our food tasting was also a very fun experience. I had 225 people and they handled feeding that many with set salads very well. My only complaint is that we ran out of asparagus which my mom informed me of later, but we were given a 100 dollar gift certificate as compensation which I thought was very nice. I would definitely recommend Chef's Market. They are a great value for the food you get!

We are the parents of the groom but we were actively involved with planning as the bride's parents were from out of country. We had numerous guests tell us that this was the best food at any wedding reception. Because the wedding planner was terrible, the reception would have been a disaster if Patti Corn had not been present to organize and attend to detail. Chefs Market also prepared a dish that was a favorite of the bride's country. We were very pleased with this company and especially Patti.

There are 2 things that frustrated me: a. prep was not done in the prep area (although i cant blame this on them) and b. they did not remember to get the vegetarian dishes to the vegetarians and i had to remind them during the reception. Other than that, they are extremely helpful, typically respond within a few hours, and will do everything they can to try to make your day great. the food was delicious and i kept getting compliments on the fried green tomato sliders! wish i could have enjoyed more of their mint fruit tea as well! they are a little more expensive than we were planning but with all of the service they offer and them willing to go above and beyond to make the presentation perfect, i couldnt have asked for anything better!

Carol was our catering consultant from Chef's Market, and she was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, and many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Carol was extremely accommodating, even when we got a little nervous about the cost (as I'm sure most couples do!) she was very helpful in finding ways for us to fit what we wanted within our budget. The service on our wedding day was great, and if there was ever a problem, I certainly didn't know about it! I would absolutely recommend Chef's Market to anyone who wants exceptional food at a fantastic price!

Chef's Market catered our event. I worked with Shannon over email and phone to plan the menu and setup from NH for a wedding in TN. She was professional, attentive and friendly. The week prior. She was just as friendly and made several recommendations to assist in the best placement of tables and food.

The day of the wedding, her staff arrived as stated and set to work. They were friendly and polite as well as very helpful in anticipating our needs, often before we did. I have heard many good things about the food from our guests. The Jerusalem Chicken was a little dry but this may be due to the lateness in the bride and groom being able to eat. All other dishes were met expectations. These were the Garlic Mashed Potatoes (wonderful!) and Green Bean Amandine. Many guests took food with them when they departed and we were thankful that they were able to do that. I also received many comments about the cupcakes and know they were eaten very quickly and were very delicious.

I was going to use Chef's Market to cater my wedding, but they blew it. I couldn’t believe my experience with them since they received so many other great reviews, but it was awful. I almost didn’t bother writing about it because I hate to waist more of my time on them, but I figure somebody has to give a warning about them. I was in communication with Shannon, trying to set up an appointment that would correspond with the time that my parents would be in town (a month and a ½ in advance to ensure there wouldn't be any schedule conflicts), but then Shannon’s email replies just stopped – right after I requested an appointment. I thought that was odd, especially after 3 weeks went by, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and contacted her again (after all, they had great reviews from everyone else). When I received a reply (almost a week later) I was informed of her limited availability during the days that my parents would be in town, but that she could squeeze us in (FYI, it wasn’t a holiday or busy weekend, just regular old Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday with no time restrictions from us). That's exactly why I tried to set things up far in advance. We went to the appointment, they had good food, and we were basically ready to sign with them even though Shannon acted distracted and rushed through our appointment, and made me feel like it was inconvenience for her that we wanted to give them business. Anyway, Shannon specifically said at the end of our appointment that she'd email me a price list within the next day, two at the latest. Since I knew she was busy, that was fine, although I found it odd that she couldn’t just give the prices then since the items we wanted were on their regular catering menu. I never heard from her again. I thought about contacting her again, but I’d been the one to initiated all the previous emails (with delivery confirmation and read receipt) and do all the follow up. Also, I KNOW she has my email address and phone number, so there was no reason I shouldn’t have received the price list, if she’d sent it, and if she had sent it, the proper customer service would have been to do a follow up call. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want a reliable caterer with decent communication skills and common courtesy. I couldn’t be expected to keep tracking down the cater and cross my fingers that I'd hear back in any reasonable time - there are too many other things to keep up with in a wedding. If they're too busy to want my business, good for them I guess. If you want any sort of decent customer service, go somewhere else.
