I am giving Chefs for Hire 5 stars! Their food was delicious - many of our guests said so. When shopping around for caterers in the beginning, they were by far the best product for the value, and they definitely proved this through the quality of their food and service. I had to plan our wedding from overseas, so all of our communication had to be via email. I imagine it was quite tedious to have to read through all my negotiations and requests, but they were very responsive and efficient. On the wedding day, they were very helpful and professional. If I ever have an event in Cleveland again, I will go straight to them again.. -

The food was fabulous - great value for a reasonable price and they will customize menus to fit your needs. They are easy-going and flexible and will help with any other service you need - decorating, rentals, etc. -

This vendor is known to us through the groom's family as his mother works there. As such, we were very familiar with his business. The food is simply not comparable to other caterers for the cost. His food is much more high end than the average wedding food. He also provides very large potions with lots of extras for everyone. The staff is experienced and all of the details come together. They are very flexible in meeting your requirements for what you want on your special day - there is not much that is not within reach! They also set up all decorations on the tables and we did not have to worry about any of those details. At times, it can take a few days to get a response but if you are patient it is worth the wait. All guest raved about the food - especially the seafood pasta! -

The food at the test tasting was BOMB. Everything was amazing and John was so nice and told us we could tell them to make anything that we wanted, so we went with CFH for our wedding and picked our food. He told us that we would have plain pulled pork and plain pulled chicken and a buffet of 4 of our chosen sauces so people can choose which BBQ they wanted and that is good because some people have special nutritional needs. Fast forward to wedding day, the food is bland, not half of the flavor from the taste test. Also, the pulled chicken and pork had sauce already poured all over it. It didn't taste bad but I loved the idea that the guests could choose from an array of sauces. They didn't seem very organized and I assume they never wrote down or kept track of anything we talked about before the wedding. So like I said the food wasn't bad it just wasn't even close to the awesome flavor of the tester food, also if you want anything specific then you need to remind them and demand it. -

I would not recommend Chefs For Hire Catering to any bride out there...for the simple fact that THEY STOLE FROM ME! At my wedding my Aunt went into the kitchen to make sure that all of the mismatched vintage china that I brought into the venue was collected from the catering staff. She saw boxed up food with the catering staff's names written on them. She looked inside them and saw that some boxes were full of wedding cake! The staff of Chefs For Hire stole my wedding cake and took it home with them! I PAID FOR EVERY SINGLE SLICE OF THAT WEDDING CAKE! IT WAS NOT THEIRS TO TAKE! Not a single slice was sent home with us at the end of the night. I phoned John the owner the next day when we found out that none of the $800 worth of appetizers that we paid for were sent home with us, no chicken was sent home with us, and confronted him about the stolen wedding cake. He claimed that he threw all of the appetizers away...ummmm seriously doubt it...I work with someone who used to work for Chefs For Hire and I asked her about it after the wedding and she said that they do not throw away the left over appetizers and that he probably gave them to his staff to take home or possibly used them for a wedding the next day. So glad to find out that his staff is living high off the hog eating thousands of dollars of food that I bought and paid for. Second he told me that wedding cake and chicken should have gone home with us and he claimed that he would look into the missing chicken and wedding cake and would call me back. Well...surprise, surprise...I never herd from him. He obviously has no intention of making good on the items stolen. My second complaint is that John the owner stood us up for a meeting prior to the wedding, was a complete no show. Also, he did not show up for our final walkthrough, the wedding coordinator for our venue had to call him and he finally showed 45 minutes late, without our file and unprepared for the meeting. -
