I don't even have enough words to describe how amazing Chef's Expressions is. We got to work with Alicia S., our day-of coordinator, and she truly has been an angel throughout the whole process up and on the wedding day. I’m a huge planner, but she made everything so clear and seamless that I actually felt stress-free. She handled everything quickly and gracefully so if any issues came up, I never even knew.
And the food...absolutely unforgettable. I still crave it and our guests are still raving about it! From hors d’oeuvres to the main meal, every bite was perfection. We’ve never had wedding food that tasted this delicious, and somehow it was even better than at our tasting.
The entire team (Alicia, chef, servers, and bartenders) were amazing, so professional, and genuinely happy to be there. I especially loved seeing their awe when they saw me walk by in my dress and all the décor I had handmade, which made me feel so happy and proud. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience, and we can't thank you enough for exceeding our expectations. Thank you for all your hard work and for becoming such an important part of our special day- it was perfect! -

Chef Expressions is by far the best choice for catering! From the very beginning, Alicia the coordinator was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable on all aspects of the wedding, which made it incredibly easy for a stressed bride. Their food was delicious, and all of their staff was incredibly friendly! I would highly recommend Chef Expressions to any couple for their wedding or for any large party that requires catering needs. -

During our tasting at Chef's Expressions we knew they were the perfect fit. The food was incredible and maybe more importantly, Sarah understood our vision and was able to meet every single detail request with ease. She was also a delight to work with.
We had a few special requests such as an oyster bar and using specifc wines from Oregon that other vendors quoted us much higher for as well. The cost plus quality of food and service really can't be beat.
The night of, service was perfectly executed and the staff ensured that myself and my husband always had what we needed. The food was amazingly prepared and even better than the tasting.
They were also able to handle all the chairs, tables, linens, etc and even offered transport some items for us to the venue as the rules of our venue were strict about who can enter.
They also packed us up more food and desserts at the end of the night which was so special to enjoy the next day.
This was a great team, great food, and a great value. Highly reccomend. -

Chefs Expression was a joy to work with! They were so professional and well prepared my now husband and I didn't have to give anything a second thought and it was absolutely wonderful! Our prewedding communication with Alicia was wonderful and her and her teams execution of the day was flawless. AND we got MANY compliments of how good the food was! Trust me they are worth it! -

Working with Sarah and her team at Chef's Expressions was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. From our first phone call, I could feel Sarah's creative, organized, calm, and experienced approach. Over emails and phone calls, Sarah helped us design a menu for our 150 guests of passed appetizers, family-style dinner, and a bar list that fit within our budget. Chef's Expressions was the first tasting we did and they set the bar super high (honestly, we only did one other tasting after them which didn't compare at all, so the choice was obvious). The food at our wedding tasted exactly like the tasting and guests were raving about it.
Beyond the food though, Sarah was the best person I could have imagined working with throughout the months leading up to, the week of, and during and after the wedding. We did not use a wedding planner (we had a really clear vision about what was most important to us, decided to put that budget towards other things, and I wanted to do the research and planning myself!). We got married at the BMA, so the venue itself is stunning and doesn't need much in terms of decorations. Sarah worked with us to create floorplans for the ceremony area, which turned into the cocktail area and then flipped during dinner to become a reception/dancing space, and the dinner space, which was at long tables in an adjacent courtyard. We sent some initial inspiration photos and she got exactly what we were going for. She handled all the rentals of tables, chairs, linens, glassware and dishes. We went with simple place settings, tall dramatic flowers, and candles, with paper on the tables and colored pencils for guests to draw. Not only did Sarah help execute this idea perfectly, but she also rolled up the paper after dinner, then cut out and saved some of the messages and drawings that guests had left for us. Looking through those the day after the wedding made me cry!
From the big-picture vision, to executing all the moving pieces of furniture and equipment vendors and managing a server + bartender team of 17 people, to the small details like saving the guests' messages from the dinner tables, Sarah was the greatest person I could have imagined working with. She's the best and has an amazing team!!! -

After booking our venue, booking with Chef's Expressions was the next vendor that we booked. Sarah absolutely blew us away with her experience, attention to detail, ease of communicating, professionalism, etc. Sarah, we are SO grateful for you!!
I found comparing caterers to be one of the most difficult parts of the wedding planning process. They all price things differently and offer different things. Sarah made everything so easy. I can't even put into words how much of a gem she is.
On top of Sarah being an absolute rockstar, the food was AMAZING! Wedding food is hard to nail down because it's such a mass quantity. One of my friends (who is a very tough food critic) said it was the best wedding food she's ever had.
100/10 recommend. Thank you to Sarah & the Chef's team for being so fantastic. I miss you already! -

We cannot provide a glowing enough review for Chef's Expressions. It began with meeting Alicia, who provided professional and expert customer service. She was knowledgeable about the menu and all potential options for our venue. She was timely in her responses and communicated clearly. She was able to provide guidance and recommendations for setup, design, and food choices that were spot on!
On the day of the wedding, staff was outstanding! They were respectful and professional and did an amazing job. Alicia and the staff ensured that we ate and even moved our wedding cake up an entire flight of stairs in choppy waters on a yacht and held the table steady while we cut the cake (which was so delicious and baked perfectly). Their ability to be flexible was remarkable and we were so grateful. There was nothing that they did not go above and beyond.
Additionally.. the food was terrific! We loved it, and our guests raved about it. There was more than enough food, and our family could not say enough about the quality.
They were affordable and incredibly reasonable and were able to accommodate some food allergies/sensitivities without much difficulty or change in quality. Our gluten-free guests LOVED the gluten-free cupcakes!
I will up load more pictures of the food if we get any from our photographer, but I have included the cake (it was intentionally simple, and they gave us EXACTLY what we asked for! ). -

Alicia and her team were absolutely extraordinary! From the tasting to the reception, Alicia was so helpful and professional. We had a unique venue (campground wedding) and Alicia went above and beyond to ensure that our vision for our wedding was created. My guests could not stop raving about the food, professionalism of the staff and amazing experience. Alicia also helped us keep within our budget and even helped us save a few dollars. I recommend Chef's Expression to any couple looking for a magical wedding experience. -

The hardest thing to please guests with at a wedding is always the food and we knew we found a gem as soon as we booked with Chef's Expressions. Sarah, the event design consultant was incredible to work with and was their for us every step of the way during the planning process. Sarah and the team make sure you are creating a menu that is unique to you and your guests. We received so many compliments about the service and quality of the food during the entire wedding! We couldn't have been happier with the outcome!!!! -

Chef’s Expressions at the Manor truly made our wedding magical. Sarah Armstrong was our event consultant and she was AMAZING. She helped us get better deals on aspects of our big day, figure out how to get what we wanted within budget, and mapped out every detail to perfection. Sarah made sure that everything was planned in a way that made the most sense and following her guidance led us to a day I dreamed of. When there were hiccups with a bartender being out due to COVID, she was quick to come up with a solution and I didn’t even know of the issue until after the night was over. Sarah handled everything on the day-of, even transporting our personal décor, so I only had to concentrate on being with my people and soaking it all in. On top of all of that, the food was AMAZING. I would eat their short ribs for every meal and the fennel and ricotta flatbread was to die for. Everyone says you don’t eat at your own wedding but Chef’s Expressions made sure we got served a little of EVERYTHING so we got to eat every single dish at our wedding and they were all phenomenal. I didn’t think pasta would hold up well served en masse but the pesto especially was really phenomenal. Every hors d’oeuvres, station, and dessert was delicious. Our cake was also provided through Chef’s Expressions and was one of the best weddings cakes I had ever eaten. Sarah and the team at Chef’s Expressions at the Manor do a phenomenal job and I would recommend them to everyone looking for phenomenal food on a reasonable budget. -

Chef’s Expressions is by far the best caterer we could have chosen for our wedding. All appetizers and entrees we tried during multiple complimentary tastings were absolutely delicious. Sarah went out of her way to order many different linen samples for us to play around with during one of our tastings. She also provided us with all plate options, so we could see our vision in person before the wedding. Alicia was our wedding producer, and she coordinated food service flawlessly! She, along with our planner, provided us with a sampler plate of every appetizer that my husband and I could enjoy in private before walking into the reception and returning back to the guests. All food was absolutely delicious, hot, and fresh! Better than any large quantity food that I have ever had, and each dish tasted like restaurant quality. We also had a few guests with tough allergies, and Alicia went out of her way to meet with each of these guests, tell them what they could and couldn’t have, and ensured all meals served to them were safe for them. We were blown away in all regards by Chef’s Expressions and would recommend them every time!! -

Chef's Expressions is one of the very best caterers I have had the pleasure to meet through the years. Everything is done with the utmost professionalism. The food is thoughtfully presented and is always delicious! Megan and the rest of the staff are attentive to their clients and guests and are a pleasure to be with. We love having them at our venue, La Banque de Fleuve, and look forward to seeing them this year in Havre de Grace! -

Chef Expressions for dream wedding food!
Chef expressions hit a grandslam with out wedding! David was incredible to work with and helpful with every step of the way. He was organized, joyful, caring and would check in on us from time to time to see if we needed any help, questions, etc. For our first tasting he spoiled with with a wonderful dinner of delicious foods and bevarages and you could tell he took his time with every detail. He set the bar incredibly high and blew away any other competitor! We had 7 horderves that were INCREDIBLE, the stations we had were setup perfectly, the staff were upbeat, friendly and working very hard! The food was so good people were going back for thirds! The bartenders did a phenomenal job with the drinks and getting our guests their beverages quickly and efficiently. I cant express how happy we were with David and how well he worked with the other vendors and making our wedding so perfect!! Thank you, David, Alicia, and the entire team at Chef expressions! -

Wedding planning shouldn’t be hard, and the team at Chefs Expressions made sure of that. We first met Bonny Opper from Chefs Expressions at a wedding expo hosted by the Gramercy Mansion. We were able to taste their food, see their service, and meet Bonny, a feisty, hardworking, absolute wedding expert! Bonny and her team at Chefs Expressions guided Paul and I through every step of our wedding process, engaging us in a 2-hour planning session at their offices, and handled our requests with professionalism and precision. Bonny and her team were super easy to communicate with, and ensured that our wedding was exactly what we wanted, and not some canned, by-the-book event. From working within our modest budget, ensuring we had gluten free options for our guests, and even including a wedding cake, the Chefs Expressions team was fantastic. The absolute best part was the fact that Bonny also served as our day-of coordinator, ensuring that everything went perfectly as planned on the wedding day, taking all of the stress away from us. We would definitely recommend Bonny and her team at Chefs Expressions to anyone who is looking for a caterer! -

These folks are amazing! Chef's Expressions went above and beyond for my wedding in May 2019. We worked mostly with Bonny throughout the whole process. She was very responsive, professional, flexible when we changed our minds about a few things, and gave us advice about linens & cake flavors when we hit some wedding decision fatigue! Their menu selection was elegant and fun at a reasonable price. I have celiac disease so I had the extra need of everything being 100% gluten-free, and their team was fantastic in accommodating that, as well as my guests' dietary needs. On the wedding day, the food was all so delicious, the timing of service was perfect, and Bonny (who was on-site) kept an eye on things to make sure everything flowed smoothly. They also sent us home with 2 extra servings of our entrée so we could enjoy it again later, which was a very nice touch. I HIGHLY recommend Chef's Expressions! You can't go wrong with them! -

My family and I met with Megan and it was a great experience. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. She was personable and truly listened to what my fiancé and I wanted on our special day. I would recommend this caterer to any and everyone. Jessica Sent on 06/22/2018Chef's Expressions did an INCREDIBLE job at our June 2018 wedding. Working with Alicia, Jerry, and team was seamless. Alicia is not only part of the catering team, but a coordinator as well. They met with us at the venue countless times prior to the ceremony and handled all of our questions and calls so well. They worked closely with us to make sure that our vision was seen in every aspect, from the actual food and drink items to the design of the menu card. We had custom items such as a margarita bar and gelato station. And they even made my cake, and it was beautiful and DELICIOUS!!! After the wedding, all of the guests were talking about how AMAZING the food was. We can't thank Chef's Expressions enough for such a memorable event!!

Hailey Sent on 01/06/2018Chef's Expressions is amazing and I don't think I could have planned my wedding without them (I planned my wedding in 10 days)! When I had this crazy idea, they were willing to jump right on board! I worked with Megan and she was the jack of all trades! She was quite literally my wedding planner, caterer, photographer, photo booth attendant, and wedding day extraordinaire! Worth every penny! Megan and team set-up all the tables perfectly, constructed a photo booth, decorated the cake with flowers (which was absolutely beautiful and all I did was provide a few pictures from pinterest!), and even took fantastic pictures (I did not have a photographer for my event). Megan was wonderful at communicating with me and making sure every last detail was covered (food choices, table decorations, number of tables, timing during the event, etc.). She listened to all my requests and executed them flawlessly! Chef's Expressions went above and beyond my expectations and I couldn't thank them enough!
When it got to the food I was more than pleasantly surprised (I obviously did not get to try it ahead of time). The food both looked and tasted amazing! People are still raving about how good the grilled cheese with tomato soup and the french fries were! We had a sit down dinner and the servers were very friendly and timely. They also looked like they were just having so much fun! I couldn't have asked for a better caterer and would recommend to anyone looking for the best for their wedding day! -

On our wedding day, I was so impressed with how smoothly everything went. Alicia worked so hard and honestly was more like a day-of coordinator. She helped to make sure our cocktail hour and reception flowed smoothly, and helped to alleviate any stress that could have arisen. Because of her and the Chef's Expressions staff, we had an amazing wedding day! -

Jessica Sent on 08/11/2015I knew from the moment we pulled up to Chef’s Expression and there was a reserved parking spot for us this catering company was not like others we met with. We worked with Jen and she could not have been more helpful. She was extremely familiar with our venue and was able to paint a picture in our mind that was even more beautiful when the real day came around. Throughout the process Jen acted as more than an event design consultant, she helped as a wedding planner would. Jen answered ALL my emails in a timely manner and always offered superb assistance. We attended one of their monthly wine dinners and had the opportunity to meet the owner who was just as lovely as Jen. As for the food and the service, it could not have been more spot on. Our appetizers were the most AMAZING wedding apps I have ever had. Our guests were so impressed. The meals came out quickly and were delicious. We had a special attended who catered to my husband and I all night. The cake was beautiful and tasty! At the end of the night I was sad to say bye to Jen since we had been in close contact for a year and she helped make sure everything was as I wished that night. I would highly recommend Chef’s Expressions! They single handedly made our wedding perfect. -

Megan Sent on 12/11/2013Chef's Expressions was one of two caterer's we were allowed to use at our venue and we selected them b/c they were more responsive to our questions than the other company before we signed a contract. Bonny and Christine were very easy to work with and are the reason our wedding day went smoothly. They acted as our day-of-coordinators as well as our caterer, and were much more available to answer our questions than any rep from our venue. They made sure neither of us had to worry about a thing on our wedding day. There was a small miscommunication between Chef's and the venue about storing decor overnight, but it did not create a problem.
The menu Bonny helped us create (6 apps, soup/salad, and entree) was delicious, and we were able to do a tasting a few months in advance. They also allowed us to customize our drinks package to serve beer & wine we requested. Chef's Expressions cost a lot more than we initially expected to spend on catering, but the quality and service were worth every penny! -

Vickie Sent on 11/12/2013I got married at the George Peabody Library in Baltimore, MD and our caterer, Chef’s Expressions, delivered beyond belief. The combination of phenomenal food, stellar service, and excellent business savvy set Chef's apart from the rest. Chef's acted as our caterer, wedding-day coordinator for the ceremony/ reception, and vendor manager.
During the year of wedding planning, Chef's was always prompt in responding to my questions from budget and billing inquiries to wedding-day details such as the cake design, food tasting, menu card, floor plan, and reception setup. I always got a response to my questions within a couple of hours from either Bonny or Christine, even if just to tell me that they were out and would respond in detail the next day.
We had an excellent tasting of our menu a couple of months prior to the wedding, but the wedding-day food was even better! Both my husband and I got numerous compliments about the high quality of food and the beautiful presentation of the courses. I didn't have one guest complain about the food. Quite the opposite-one guest even said that the beef tenderloin they served was “actually steak”- the right pinkness, temperature, and tenderness. Everyone raved about the carrot cake with cream cheese icing filling, which was the perfect choice for our fall wedding. Krista was our personal server and made sure we had a taste of all of our hors d’oeuvres and that our entrees came out warm when we were seated and not greeting guests. Chef’s handled all of our guests’ dietary restrictions perfectly. We cannot stress enough the compliments we received on our food and how the quality of food will make or break your wedding.
Hiring Chef's to caterer our wedding was the best decision we made and, after seeing their spectacular delivery for our wedding, a no-brainer. Guests remember the food and venue more than anything else, so hire Chef's and make a great lasting impression!

Tc Sent on 10/29/2013As I started my wedding planning, food was at the top of my list of priorities. I knew I wanted it to be a fabulous meal. I am so glad we chose Chef's! Bonny and Christine did a terrific job helping us to design the meal and fit within our budget. They were great with suggestions and advice and accommodating with our special requests (including several meals that had to be customized based on severe allergies).
We received so so many compliments on the food. Many said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Our ice cream sundae bar (hand made ice cream custom flavors) was a hit!
They took really good care of us on the day of our wedding, sending out a tray of the our cocktail hour appetizers while we took photos and sending us home with a large amount of food!
Both Christine and Bonny were wonderful to work with. Christine, especially, leading up to the wedding and on the day of was just incredible. She ran the event and coordinated the major players. My fiancee and I just enjoyed the wedding and never had to worry about a thing! One of my guests had a severe allergy and needed a special meal. He is also quite the foodie :) He was so impressed with the food, said it was an excellent meal and that he had someone "watching" his service the entire night to make sure the correct plates were being delivered. That care and attention is just top notch!

Kenney Sent on 09/30/2013Melanie was our caterer, and from day one was the most thoughtful, warm, helpful, reponsive professional we worked with of any of our vendors. Even though our wedding was 19 months in the making, Melanie was there for every decision, every problem, every solution! We were so very lucky to have her! That was just one positive of many. Chef's customized our menu to what we wanted, and even though they gave us a menu of options, they allowed us to make subtle changes to the recipes to make it our own, and believe us, the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! You will have many choices to select from in terms of caterers, but there is only one choice we would recommend (and we interviewed several), and that is Chef's Expressions! -
