My husband and I sampled quite a few cakes from different vendors and Nancy was by far the best! Not only were they absolutely delicious, but she also made it to be such a fun experience for the two of us! We got to choose our top cake flavors and fillings and how she sets up the take-home testing allows you to mix and match! It was such a fun evening getting to try different flavor combinations to determine what we wanted for our big day. We got a two-tiered wedding cake and then cupcakes as well! Boy, were they a hit with our friends and family! Everyone was coming up to us saying how tasty the cupcakes were. I highly recommend going with Nancy for any and all cake needs! She's so personable and eager to make sure your cake dreams come true and that was certainly the case for us. We can't wait to dive into our wedding anniversary cake when the time comes! -

Nancy might just make the best tasting cake in all of KCMO. When we started cake tasting over a year ago, we weren't that serious about it, just wanting to have fun and soak it all up. When we picked up our cake tasting box from Nancy, we knew immediately she would be making our cake. Choosing the frosting and cake flavor was so hard because EVERY.SINGLE.FLAVOR. was insanely delicious. We landed on white cake with cream cheese frosting. From the inside out, our cake was beautiful. It was also the most fresh tasting cake I have ever had in my life. I can't tell you how many people came up to us to tell us it was the best wedding cake they have ever had. She also made my grooms cake vision come true. It was a stack of pancakes and when I say people thought it was actual pancakes, I mean it. My niece kept trying to eat the "blueberries" on top:) Hats off to Nancy. She was a part of what made our dream wedding come true. You will not be disappointed. We will be going back each year for our anniversary(because we already ate the top tier!!) for sure but I am positive she will see us more than that. From the bottoms of our hearts, thank you Chef Stark.

Nancy was recommended to us during our planning process over a year ago. We were ahead of schedule in terms of choosing a cake vendor but she was willing to be flexible with our schedule and offer a cake tasting. I loved that we were able to choose multiple cake flavors and icings to try at the tasting. She even allowed us to bring our parents along to try her cakes, which other vendors did not. At the tasting she did not pressure us to make any decisions and really allowed us to mix and match all of the flavors and icings. She even had my dad's approval, which is hard to come by! We chose Nancy because she was genuine, willing to draw our cake design on the spot, and her cakes tasted ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We all left the tasting feeling good about her being our cake vendor. Her cake was the most anticipated thing about our wedding! A few months before the wedding, I changed the design of our cake. She was patient with us as we wanted the 5-tier cake to have flowers in between each tier. She truly listened to our request for the design and worked with our floral vendor Hitched. On the day of the wedding, I couldn't have been more happy with how the cake turned out. It was better than I imagined and she really made the cake of my dreams. Guests were in awe of the design and how awesome it tasted. We purchased personalized cake boxes for guests to take slices home. However, I'm happy to report that they were not used because there wasn't a single slice left! Nancy truly knocked it out of the park with her professionalism, design, and expertise! -

Beth Sent on 11/08/2017Nancy at Chef Shop Stark was truly a pleasure to work with from beginning to end for our October 14th wedding. From the cake tasting, design process, pricing, delivery and presentation, she exceeded our expectations. The wedding day activities had me busy at the venue. We came by the cake table and saw that she had delivered the cake and cut and arranged the loose flowers I'd left for her. I only provided one picture of what we hoped for and it was just what we'd discussed and more. Though we ordered enough for our guest count, we actually ran out of cake because so many had seconds! It was not only beautiful but delicious. No one seems to remember the cake at weddings, but we are still hearing from our guests how great it was. Nancy, thanks again for helping to make this part of our special day perfect.

We were interested in having both a cake and small sweets at our wedding, and Nancy had a huge selection of delicious items to choose from. Her prices our lower than others in the area but you certainly can't tell in the quality! -

Chef Shop Stark truly knows cakes, desserts and all things sweet! We have worked together on numerous weddings over the years for clients dessert bars, wedding cakes and custom ideas. She executes each event with perfection. We are so lucky to have Nancy as a part of the Kansas City Wedding community!
